- This entry was approved by the cleanup thread. It opens with a short description of the character, and information about their leadership. It continues on about their personality and how they are a bastard, but charming enough to fool other characters. It then goes on to list everything the character did (or ordered their minions to do) to get to their goal: evil act of trickery 1, evil act of trickery 2, and evil act of trickery 3. There is a dependent clause, followed by a conclusion that yes, this character does stand out as a magnificent bastard.
- Name of alleged example with no elaboration whatsoever.
- Magnificent Bastard example which was posted here without consulting the trope's thread. Example is actually a vile Smug Snake that This Troper wants to make look cooler than they actually are.
- Character that almost meets the criteria, but fails one crucial point (has an undignified end, is far too vile, is far too heroic to still be a "bastard", etc).
