- E: "Finding love. Even amongst other demons, I never thought I'd find someone interested in anything more than sex."
- What is your idea of perfect happiness?
- M: "Knowing that one has done what is right."
- E: "Being with Mikael. Being loved. Knowing there are people that care about me."

- What is your favorite occupation?
- M: "I'm fond of any kind of outdoorsman's job. Lumberjack, hunter, park ranger, etcetera."

- What is your most treasured possession?
- M: "I'd say Herschel, but I'm not certain if dogs are considered 'possessions'. I suppose if not, it would be my locket. It's what keeps me human, in difficult times."
- E: "The coat Mikael made me. I mean, it's kind of sort of my only real... possession. Yeah, I've got a phone and stuff, but nothing you'd call a 'keepsake' other than this."
- What or who is the greatest love of your life?
- M: "Ellie."
- E: "Mikael."
- What is your favorite journey?
- M: "The hero's journey, where one overcomes one's flaws to become a better person."

- When and where were you the happiest?

- E: "I suck the electricity out of power lines. It's a great high, but I always feel bad about it afterwards."

- M: "I know not who it is, but whether or not it is an alternate universe's Fuhrer, or just a madman, whoever leads the group of Fascists that attacked us last year."
- E: "...my father."
- What is your greatest regret?

- E: "That's kind of hard to say. Probably all the time I spent in the Abyss before coming to the human world, since I did some... bad things, as a kid. I didn't know any better, but still, it... hurts, to remember, sometimes."
- Which talent would you most like to have?
- M: "Probably how to play the guitar. I like music, but don't really have a knack for it."
- E: "I'd want to be good at, like, electrician stuff. Wiring, and all that. The way humans use electricity always fascinates me."

- E: "I always wanted to live in a big city, like New York or San Fransisco."
- What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
- M: "You mean other than being in a room with Jacqueline Bates? I'd say being unable to change one's circumstances, having no agency in one's life. That thing before was a joke by the way. Don't let Ash find out I said that."
- E: "Not having anyone who loves you."
- What is the quality you most like in a man?
- M: "Not being afraid to show a more feminine side. Actual gender-swapping optional."
- E: "Confidence. I love a guy who isn't worried about who he is."
- What is the quality you most like in a woman?
- M: "It's cliche, but I like a woman who can just be herself. Someone who doesn't succumb to misguided 'moral' pressures."

- M: "I have difficulty seeing other's points of view. I am not always right, but if someone I dislike has an actual point, I too easily discard it for my own foolish justifications."

- What is the trait you most deplore in others?
- M: "Grandstanding. Seeking glory at the expense of others."
- E: "Being all judgemental."
- What do you most value in your friends?

- E: "Understanding. Knowing what I am, and not being uncomfortable with it."
- Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
- M: "The Punisher."
- E: "Samus. Totally badass."

- Which living person do you most admire?
- M: "Well, my girlfriend, obviously. If you mean in a more 'looking up to them' sense, then Opa, as I said before."
- E: "Mikael, duh. But after him, it would have to be Lord Zamiel."
- What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
- M: "Faith. Whether you believe in someone doesn't matter, beyond what that belief does to comfort them. Even if no one has faith in you, you can still move mountains."
- E: "Restraint. I mean, yeah, don't kill people, but don't hold yourself back just because someone told you to. Do what your heart tells you."

- E: "When I don't want to hurt someone."

- If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
- “A polar bear?”
- What is your motto?
- “Brace yourself, it’s gonna get wild.”
6: The Saint
- What do you consider your greatest achievement?
- “That's a tough question. Most would probably say it was when I managed to fend off that other me from that alternate universe back in the 70's. Gotta say, I'm probably the only one who's ever given me a run for my money. (God does that sound weird.) But if I really had to choose, I'd say it was saving little Timmy from that well back when I was just starting out. I think that was one of the first times I felt that I could really make a difference. That saving even one person's life truly mattered. I'll never forget just how happy his mother was to see her little boy. If you ask me, that's what truly matters.”
- What is your idea of perfect happiness?
- "World peace. That may sound a bit corny, but if you think about it, that's really what I've been working towards. Of everyone just being able to go about their lives without worrying about the latest tragedy on the news. Where humans and demons and werewolves and everyone can live together without the slightest bit of fear or resentment. Some might say we've already gotten there or are at least close, but that would be ignorance. Either way, that's what I'm striving for. (Actually, don't tell anyone, but I really just want a break. I meant everything I said, but after all that's accomplished and if it ever is, I'm hoping I get a chance to just kick back and relax. Being the world's symbol of peace really gets exhausting after a while.'')
- What is your current state of mind?
- "Hopeful. (Also tired. I thought this was only supposed to go until 3:00?)
- What is your favourite occupation?
- “Aside from being a hero and principal at Saint Academy? Probably reading up on whatever interests me. Philosophy, history, folklore, you name it. Although I suppose folklore could also be considered history these days.”
- What is your most treasured possession?
- “The article covering little Timmy's rescue. I've still got a copy pinned up in my office. I'm amazed it's still intact!”
- What or who is the greatest love of your life?
- “I'll be frank. In this line of work and with everything on my plate, it's hard to try and be with anyone. Nine times out of ten if you wind up in a relationship with anyone it's going to be with another Super because you don't have the time for anyone else. That said. There was... someone. Back when the Protectors visited that other dimension back in the 50's. You know, the one where all progress had been halted from the Bronze Ages on thanks to a bunch of aliens who decided to troll humanity for funs and profit? Anyway, there was this one woman who was like me in a lot of ways. Might've even been that world's version of me, come to think of it. And for one brief shining moment, I felt that perhaps I'd finally found someone who saw the world as I did. Nevermind that she was in my weight class. But it wasn't to be. She had her world to look after and I had my mine. Though I still pop in every now and then.”
- What is your favorite journey?
- “Probably whenever I hop over to Bronzonia. (That's what we call that other dimension that's stuck in the Bronze Age.) Might be one of the only places I can be myself, if only because most people there don't know me. Well, aside from Artemis. (She's the woman I talked about earlier, and no, not the God. Though I've met her too. Nasty piece of work.)
- What is your most marked characteristic?
- "Being a saint. What else? (Actually, just between us, it's probably being squeaky clean. Can't be a Saint if you don't act the part, you know?)”
- When and where were you the happiest?
- “Probably whenever I'm with Artemis. When I'm with her, I feel like I can just stop pretending to be something I'm not. To be this incorruptible paragon that everyone looks up to. To just be me. Speaking of which, can we cut this out in post?”
- What is it that you most dislike?
- “Bigots. Hypocrites. Anyone who hates anyone else for no reason other than they're different. Or who doesn't act on what they believe. Oh, and burnt toast. Can't stand it.”
- What is your greatest fear?
- If we're being honest? It's that everything I've worked for, everything I've built up, that all of this is just one brief shining moment before it's all gone. That as soon I'm not here, everything will be torn down in the blink of an eye. And we'll be right back where we started.”
- What is your greatest extravagance?
- Well, I'm mostly pretty frugal, but sometimes I don't mind taking a trip to the colonies every now and then. Helps to have a different perspective once in a while. (That and chocolate fudge sundaes. With all the toppings. ALL of them.)
- Which living person do you most despise?
- “I don't 'despise' anyone. Though if I had to pick someone I didn't really care for, it would probably be Leon Leopold. He's been trying to kill me ever since he lost his company. Which wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been funding terrorists and hate groups. As they say, you reap what you sow.”
- What is your greatest regret?
- “...Not being able to do more. Satisfied?”
- Which talent would you most like to have?
- “Perfect pitch. If I didn't get into this business, I'd probably be an actor. Les Miserables's probably my favourite musical. Come to think of it, I wouldn't make a bad Jean Valjean.”
- Where would you like to live?
- “If I wasn't doing this, maybe a small farm out in the countryside. Somewhere where I could be myself. Rather than being what everyone expects me to be. (Probably going to have to edit that one out in post.)”
- What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
- “Not being able to save someone that needs saving. Which has happened. Not often, but it has. And every time I ask myself, 'why couldn't I do more? Why wasn't I strong enough? Fast enough?' And I always have to remind myself that sometimes, it isn't enough. Which is something I have to live with. Or else I'd probably go insane.”
- What is the quality you most like in a man?
- “Sorry, but I don't swing that way. No offense to anyone who does.”
- What is the quality you most like in a woman?
- “Like I said, I don't have a lot of time for women. Still though, I'd have to say... strong willed, willing to speak their mind, open minded, considerate, compassionate, and fun! And being in my weight class wouldn't hurt.”
- What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
- ”Not always being what people need me to be when they need it. But off the record? If I'm going to be honest, what I hate most of all is not being able to be myself. Sometimes when I'm up on the stand and the crowd is cheering and everyone is expecting the world's greatest hero to be as saintly as he appears, I just want to drop the act and let everyone know the real me. But if I do that, than that image everyone has of me, of that peerless unbreakable paragon? That goes down the drain. If I do that, I'll just be a man. Nothing more. And there goes the world's symbol of peace. So that's what I truly most deplore about myself. Of just not being able to be me. And knowing that I might damn the world if I ever am. And yes, edit that out in post. Goddamn it."
- What is the trait you most deplore in others?
- “Holding yourself back. Of not always being all you can be. That's part of why I got into this. Because I wanted everyone to start doing just that. That if I could inspire them, if I could be the hero they all wanted me to be, then maybe they'd start to feel that they could be more than what they are. (Then again, I suppose I'm not one to talk.)”
- What do you most value in your friends?
- “Generally just being good, decent people who always give it their all. All of the original Protectors fit the bill, even if some of them can be somewhat... antisocial. Really though, what matters most is what you do. Everything else is secondary. Although if you want to go pro, there's obviously a lot more to it, but that's neither here nor there.”
- Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
- ”Most of you probably won't remember this, but back around when I was starting out, there was a guy that was an awful lot like me. Jumping around, smashing cars, helping the helpless. Called himself... Stupor Man? No, that's not it. Either way, he may have been a bit rough around the edges, but his heart was in the right place. And I think part of him may have rubbed off on me a bit. If I hadn't been around, I think he really could've gone places.”
- Who are your heroes in real life?
- “Everyone who gives it their all and keeps on trucking regardless of what life throws at them. I also have a strong admiration for MLK and Ratbone. Both of them really helped inspire people to take a stand for minorities and metahuman rights respectively. It's a shame both of them aren't still alive today. Still not sure where they got that silver bullet for Ratbone.”
- What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
- “No virtues are overrated.”
- On what occasions do you lie?
- “Never. (Okay, that itself is a lie. Same with that BS about virtues. Goddamn PR.)”
- Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
- “If I told you just how many different phrases I've used over the years, we'd be here all day.”
- If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
- “Maybe actually being the paragon everyone thinks I am. Maybe then I wouldn't be under so much damn stress. And that's something else we'll have to edit out.”
- How would you like to die?
- “Fighting. Standing up for everything I believe in, and making a difference. (Actually, I wouldn't mind if I just died a nice, quiet death. Out in the country, with only my dearest friends beside me. At peace. Actually, we might be able to keep that one in...)”
- If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
- “Anything but the Saint. If I were to ever be reborn, I'd want to just live a normal, quiet life without the weight of being the world's savior. Let someone else save the world for a change. (And more stuff to edit out in post. Great.)”
- What is your motto?
- “May justice prevail! (You know, that's corny as hell, but I think it's kind of grown on me.)”
