  • In the final battle of Volume 1, Kyousuke faces the White Queen. He knows better than anyone that it's impossible to defeat her, and is about to give up. But when it seems like it's all over, Higan speaks up, reminding him that they are a team. This gives Kyousuke the strength to continue fighting, and eventually defeat the White Queen.
  • The second volume ends with Umie, the former Rainy Girl, alive and well. Thanks to Kyousuke's efforts in the past, she now lives a normal life with her sister. On top of that, Hayato never had to become a child assassin, and Fuuki has been released from her own duty as well.
  • After everything she's been through, having committed countless crimes while being brainwashed by Biondetta, Kuina finally manages to be reunited with her friend again. While Isabelle no longer remembers being Sayuri, she nevertheless appears to retain some of her own personality, and the two of them return to a more-or-less normal life.
  • When Kyousuke freaks out over the Queen transforming countless people into copies of herself, Aoi calms him down. Horribly subverted, since that was actually the Queen in disguise, manipulating him into getting used to working with her.
  • One of the major hints that caused Kyousuke to suspect that Aoi was actually the White Queen in disguise in volume 7 was that the water gun technique she used to play with some children in a river was the same one he taught her back in the Miniature Garden.
  • Biondetta comforting Kyousuke after his enslavement by the Queen.
  • Kyousuke promising to help the Girl- not because his code demands it, or even his guilt, but just because she's a person who deserves to be saved.
  • After forcing Wisdom to destroy herself and bring back his sister, Kyousuke manages to let go of his grudge against the White Queen and his guilt regarding his role in her death. He also lives a new life with both the White Queen and the Colorless Little Girl.
