  • Any time Billy interacts with Bonny, for that matter.
• Hans's final message to Marty in the tape recorder to help him with his script.
• Hans's last words: "It's not grey."
• Billy's totally misguided attempts to make Marty happier and stop being such an alcoholic.
• Zachariah's treatment of his bunny. Despite being a psychopath he clearly cares for it.
  • At the end, Zachariah prepares to follow through on his death threat... but on realizing Marty is severely depressed and in pain, he drops it without a second thought. "You sound like you've been through the wringer..."
• Billy's willingness to pretend he played an awful prank on Hans while Hans was on Peyote, to spare Hans the pain of facing an existential crisis.
