For all the scary or vulgar content that has made Pingu so infamous, it is, first and foremost, a children's show with many sweet moments.

Original series:

  • Pingu and his mom's interactions, ignoring that one episode, which was a very out-of-character moment for her. For the most part, she's a very loving and caring mother and treats her children very well, giving them lots of hugs, especially at the end of a story. Hell, even in that one episode, after Pingu runs off into his room in tears, she is immediately upset over what she did.
    • At the end of the infamous Pingu's Dream, she's there to comfort a scared Pingu.
    • She once played to be sick with them at the end of an episode.
    • After making her do lots of work when tucking them in, Pingu and his sister feel bad for her, put their two beds together and invite her to sleep with them so she can rest.
    • The end of another Nightmare Fuel episode Pingu Runs Away too; Mum and Dad find Pingu after he gets lost and frightened in the Antarctic, apologize for spanking him, wrap him up warm in a blanket and take him back to the igloo. There they feed him hot soup and all go to bed together.
    • Also in Pingu Helps His Mother Pinga tries to help by putting away some ironing in the cupboard, only to drop some of it as she does. Their mother, who is tired, is cross at having to pick up after her, until she sees how upset Pinga is and comforts her.
  • Pingu Builds An Igloo. After fighting with Pingo over how to build an igloo, they both make peace with one another and build the igloo together to spend the night. In the end they both are wrapped on a blanket eating fish at the fireplace.
  • The episodes where Robby the Seal or Pingu get hurt, both of them care a lot for each other and try to comfort the other however they can. (This is actually how they became friends in the first place; as shown in Robby's debut episode Pingu Goes Fishing.)
    • One example is in Pingu Feels Left Out where Pingu gets hurt by a crab. Even though they've had a bit of a falling out, Robby is shocked and immediately comes over to check if Pingu is okay.
    • Pingu the Snowboarder has Robby heckling Pingu over his klutzy snowboarding, until he himself has an accident and bursts into tears. Pingu and Pingi immediately take pity on him and equip him with the same safety cushion they've strapped to their own behinds.
    • In Hide and Seek where Robby hurts his head, Pingu immediately stops playing and tries to cheer him up with silly movies and postures. Robby is eventually cheered up when the little penguin does a hula-hoop dance.
  • Also in Hide and Seek, the way Pingu and Robby greet each other is just downright ADORABLE, especially since this episode takes place after their first meeting in Pingu Goes Fishing.
  • Pingu and the Gift, where Pinga spends most of the episode crying after her beloved baby carriage and doll are accidentally destroyed. Despite the family's efforts to cheer her up (Pingu plays his drum for her, her father buys her a new doll), she goes on crying. That is, until Pingu lets her use his scooter which she had been begging to play with earlier.
  • Pingu going out of his way to help the organ grinder penguin have a nice meal and fix up his destitute igloo in Pingu and the Organ Grinder. As a token of his gratitude, the organ grinder gives Pingu a harmonica, which he plays at the end when he heads home.
  • When Pingu babysits a pair of babies, he finds that they keep waking up and crying during their nap, and only go back to sleep if he rocks their bed, requiring him to repeatedly get up from his chair while he's trying to read a book. His solution is to tie a string from the bed to his foot, and continually move his foot to rock the bed. When his parents come to pick him up, they find he has fallen asleep in the chair, still rocking his foot back and forth.
  • In Pingu's Visit to the Hospital, the doctor and nurse enjoy the show Pingu did to entertain his sister, mother and another patient and even give him a doctor's cap, mask and stethoscope at the end.
  • In Pingu and the Game of Fish, Pingu and Pingo are playing a joke on everyone, involving pulling a rope with a fish tied to it. When a penguin in a wheelchair passes by and sees the fish, Pingu doesn't want to trick her, but Pingo decides to do it anyway despite his friend's protests. When this causes the disabled penguin to fall off the wheelchair, Pingu and Pingo immediately help her up and explain what they have been doing. Thankfully, she is quick to forgive them and even decides to join in on their game.
  • Anytime Pingu and Pingi kiss, especially in Pingu's Admirer and Pingu's First Kiss. It's just so cute.
