  • His tribute to Roger Ebert, in which he talks about how the man inspired him to get into film criticism, and how he taught him that it was okay to like a widely-hated film or dislike a widely-liked film, and thanks him for the effect he had on his life.
  • His tribute video to Robin Williams, considering he mainly talks about how Williams' films helped him get through the dark times of his childhood where he was frequently bullied and had practically no friends in school. Doubles as a Tear Jerker.
  • Despite the divisive nature of his Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice script edit reaction, quite a few of the people in the comments section have stood up for Chris, and have defended him against the people calling him a weak person who Can't Take Criticism and saying he should've seen the backlash coming, pointing out that he got death threats for the script and that doing such a thing is not okay. It's touching to know that Chris has a loyal viewer base.
  • In an odd way, the fact that a lot of his anger towards Nine Lives (2016) comes from the film having cats be mistreated, when Chris is a cat owner himself. He clearly loves cats.
"And when they get the cat, when they bring her home... they just... Let her free.. You're supposed to show her around, tell her what's what, and then let her loose... But they just... Let her loose... And are actually shocked that Kevin Spacey, as this cat, took a piss on the carpet... And they don't even feed it, like, they feed it the next day, like the forgot oh, right, your a cat, you need food and water.. And they put the food, right next to the litter box... Like, right next it… WHAT THE FUCK!... You don't put the litter box right by the food, 'cause when the cat does this (makes digging motions) when she's taking a shit, it's going to get all in her food and water! So fuck stupid! What the fuck happened with this movie?! I hate it! I hate this movie! And that's just one logical problem and that's just because I'm a cat owner and I love cats, and what the fuck?!"
  • After finishing his review of Storks, he reads a letter sent by a ten-year-old viewer who considers Chris to be his hero and would love to meet him, and Chris is clearly touched by it.
  • A lot of the videos he makes with his wife show how close they are to one another.
  • Equal parts heartwarming and sad: Chris paying his respects to Whitney Houston in his review of Sparkle, in which she made her final film appearance before passing away. He stated that she was by far the best part of the movie, outright admitted to missing her, and said that her singing in the movie legitimately gave him goosebumps.
  • In his video on the worst movies of 2017, he states that the reason he loathes The Emoji Movie (#1) so much is that it teaches children awful messages and runs on an idiotic concept.
  • His review of Won't You Be My Neighbor, a documentary about Fred Rogers, where he gushes about how the film shows how much he loved children and covers the life of a man who did a lot of good for several generations.
  • In his scathing review of The Haunting of Sharon Tate, Chris acknowledges that many will find it easy to rag on Hilary Duff's starring performance as the worst part of the film, what with her history as a Disney actress. However, he chooses to defend her, stating that she was forced to work with bad writing and direction, but Took the Bad Film Seriously enough to act better than what the film's quality warranted.
  • Chris actually liking the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell (2017), saying it's good visually, that the musical score is better than the original film, and even giving it an A-, which is a higher than the B+ he gave for Alita: Battle Angel. He did this despite the fact that he was going to get a lot of flack for this decision and it's made even more heartwarming considering the fact that the guys behind the original film praised this adaptation.
  • Chris making his video explaining why he was leaving the Jehovah's Witnesses. He knows how alone ex-JWs feel and hopes that his video makes them feel less alone. He also comes out as pansexual, which he says made his relationship with his wife even stronger, as she is demi-pan.
  • Doubling as awesome; upon the launch of the month-long Kickstarter campaign for Chris' debut feature Shelby Oaks, the support from his fans was nothing less than monstrous. The campaign met its initial goal in 24 hours and became the most funded horror project in Kickstarter history in just over a week, with all subsequent stretch goals being blown past, up to and including $1 million. Whenever Chris posted an update following another milestone, he repeatedly admitted that words failed in expressing how much the support means to him. Especially sweet is how, in one update, he states that his fans' support is a direct middle finger to two groups who have told him "no" time and time again — the higher-ups in the Hollywood system who refuse to give new media figures a chance, and the elders of his former faith.
  • Chris confirmed, as of 2022, that his mother is no longer a Jehovah's Witness and attended his child's 1st birthday party.
