Spoilers are off.

  • As Ethan was (one) Ghostface, why did he bother to rescue Mindy on the train rather than killing her? Also, were there two Ghostfaces there or did he manage to quickly dispose of his costume without being seen by anyone?
    • Quinn takes credit for stabbing Mindy, so there were two Ghostfaces. As for why he would save Mindy, the likeliest reason is that he is still a suspect, and even though four of the five previous Ghostface murders were done by a pair, everyone seems to suspect that Ghostface is an individual. So saving Mindy is an extra layer of alibi for himself if the police don’t fully buy Sam being behind it.
    • Mindy made eye contact with Ethan as she was on the floor bleeding. He was in no position to leave her saying he didn't see her, and she likely would have warned Sam that their guess about him was correct.
    • Mindy was very vocal about suspecting him of being Ghostface, so by (a) being obviously not the Ghostface to stab her and (b) helping her, that may have cleared any suspicion.
  • How did the Ghostfaces know they could chase the group out of the apartment? It was still five against one and if the plan went sideways, and if he failed, it would have been harder to sell Quinn's apparent death to the group.
  • Wayne being a cop, Ghostface, AND the father of Richie and Ethan opens up a massive number of issues.
    • How did Kirby, an FBI agent, not discover anything about Richie's parents? How did the NYPD not know that they hired the father of a aerial killer? Especially considering two past Ghostfaces (Billy and Nancy Loomis) were related to each other and her prime suspect (Sam Carpenter).
    • Did Richie give a fake name to Sam for some reason? As a cop, Wayne would've been under much greater scrutiny and background checks that would make it much more difficult to change his name unnoticed.
    • Furthermore, how was Wayne able to hide the existence of a second son?
    • What was the plan regarding Quinn? Roman Bridger faked his death, but this was during the finale where everyone who believed him to be dead he was planning to kill anyway. However, Quinn's death was officially reported and involved a body swap.

  • If Tara was too drunk to consent to sleep with Frankie, then wouldn't her and Chad's first romantic moment later on (during the same night) be just as troubling?
    • Tara had clearly sobered significantly between the two scenes. There's also a difference between almost kissing and non consensual sex with a man who main characters call "Date Rape Frankie"
    • It seemed to be less about Tara being too drunk to consent and more about everyone (correctly) pegging the guy to be a total creep.
    • Tara seems to know going with Frankie is a bad idea. When he first says he has some liquor in his room, she's hesitant, before deciding (quote) "Fuck it, let's go." As the others try and stop her, she seems to insist on going with him out of sheer contrariness, that she doesn't want people trying to control her even if they're trying to save her from a bad decision that she herself knows is a bad decision. Later, she thanks Chad for stepping up and not letting her go through with it, saying she was "more messed up" than she realized. But then, as the tension rises between her and Chad, she makes a point of saying "I'm not messed up anymore," telling Chad she's sober enough to understand what might be about to happen is consenting if he chooses to make a move.

  • Why wouldn't they have Anika cross the ladder first? There's the argument that her grave abdominal injury would slow her down significantly and put Sam and Mindy more at risk at Ghostface breaking through the barrier, but she's bleeding out, her internal organs are holding in by a prayer, and she's in a lot of pain in addition to being terrified. Her physical strength would be deteriorating by the second. With Sam being the only one uninjured, she would have been the one with the better odds to deal with a Ghostface screwing with the ladder.
    • Anika insisted that Mindy go before her. Also, they harbored some suspicions about Danny being one of the killers, so they weren't sure if they weren't escaping from one killer only to end up in the apartment of another. It seems like Sam went first because she had the fewest hang-ups about trusting Danny.
