• What specifically are the testers doing in Season 1 in the first few episodes before the game has been released?
  • For starters, QA testers have to test the game BEFORE it releases, so it makes perfect sense they'd be working on the game pre-launch. But more specifically, the vanilla MQ has already been released for quite a while at the start of the series - they're QA testing the new expansion, Raven's Banquet
• Carol seems serious enough about her job to lock all the employees in a room until they sign off on their forms. Why then does she allow Ian to see such horrendously mean things to the other employees? Particularly Rachel.
  • She's the kind of administrator that will move heaven and earth to achieve clear goals by a deadline. In this case it's "sign this paper by the end of the day". Getting Ian to change his behavior is a much more involved and long-term task that she isn't going to waste her energy to try.
