  • In Episode 1, the TARDIS crashes into Twilight's house. By all accounts this is a big noisy event, something like a meteor strike. Pinkie Pie comes to see what happened… but no one else comes along. Shouldn't there be, like, a huge crowd surrounding Twilight's house?
    • In the show, Rainbow Dash has crashed into the house before, Celestia drops by on a fairly regular basis, Twilight apparently has a mad scientist's lab in the basement, and lots more weird stuff goes on there as well. It's not too far out of the realm of possibility to think that the Ponyville residents have become slightly jaded in regards to the structure.
      • As for why Pinkie stopped by... uh... because... um... Pinkie Pie.
  • In Episode 2 the Doctor uses the sonic screwdriver on some wood. But in regular Doctor Who the sonic does not work on wood.
    • It was magic wood. Totally different. =)

    • For those who want an actual explanation, magic exists in MLP:FIM, thus the title "Friendship Is Magic." Magic, you see, is a living thing, not unlike the Force (but without Medi-chlorians or such nonsense). Doc can use his screwdriver to communicate or influence the magic in the area to a degree, which wood then responds to.
      • He uses something similar to talk a lock into unlocking in Chords of Chaos, and to talk a rock into being a distraction in Wrong Way Backwards.
      • Frankly, this makes lots of sense.
