Headscratchers / Dinner for Schmucks

• So, um, why didn't Tim just drive away quickly when Darla after being rejected by him, again, at the luncheon comes after him with murder in her eyes or while she is smashing his car?
• For that matter, why did he ever let her contact him in the first place? If you're being stalked by someone, blocking them from IM is the most obvious step.
• Also why did he play along when she showed up at the restraunt? Why not just say "my girlfriend isn't here, she's not my girlfriend"?
• Why would Thurman have won the award for biggest loser for believing he had mind control, when Barry actually did what Thurman told him under the belief he was under mind control? Since Barry believed in it to the point that he did what Thurman said then he should have still gotten the biggest loser title.
