  • Upon first arriving at a beach in the One Piece world, Kodachi immediately goes out to play in the surf. When Umok points out that this could be a bad idea, Ranma promptly asks how much trouble Kodachi could get into. Cue a Giant Squid that drags Kodachi out into the depths — and takes Ranma with it when he instinctively tries to save her.
  • Upon escaping from the aforementioned giant squid, Kodachi demands an explanation for Ranma's two forms. When Ranma points out that explaining his curse to her brother didn't work, the insulted Kodachi insists on not being compared to Tatewaki.
  • Umok's first meeting with a local pirate has the imp drily claiming to be a parrot. The pirates immediately surmise that he must be a foreign breed from the Grand Line. Keep in mind, Umok looks like a three-eyed Orko.
  • During a pitched battle with the Marines, Ranma recounts how his father taught him a "lesson" about even weak enemies being dangerous by covering him in honey and throwing him into a fire ant nest. Everyone stops when he says this, and when Ranma mentions it might have just been petty revenge for Ranma eating the last pastry, a Marine expresses sympathy for Ranma.
  • Ranma discovers that the Marines have put a bounty on him, but because the crew has no name or Jolly Roger they had to assign them a crew name: The Dirty Coward Pirates.
  • Chapter 8:
    • When the future Kamikaze Pirates first arrive on the Baratie, they are full of awe for the creative design of the seafaring restaurant. That all changes when they meet Patty, who proceeds to insult them with a smile. You can practically hear the record skipping sound effect at the Mood Whiplash.
    • Patty refers to Nabiki as a "squid-faced rat-eyed flat-chested bastard". Nabiki promptly kicks him in the balls and spits that she is perfectly proportioned for a girl of her background.
    • Through sheer stubborn pride, Nabiki manages to eat a week's worth of desserts in a single sitting. Ranma's impressed reaction promptly makes Shampoo and Ukyo nervous, who quickly reassure each other that they haven't just seen Ranma awaken to some kind of kink.
    • Kodachi's affronted critique of Nabiki's attempt at a Noblewoman's Laugh.
    • The sheer casualness with which Ranma clarifies to Nabiki that he technically doesn't like any of his fellow dimensional strandees. Then he thinks a moment and amends that Ukyo might be an exception.
    • Kodachi attempts to butter Ranma up to get him to agree to spar with all of the girls so they can fasttrack improving their skills to his level by describing him as "the greatest martial artist we know". An indignant Ryoga promptly snaps that he's sitting right there, only for Kodachi to ignore him.
    • The crew does part-time work at the Sea Restaurant Baratie to pay for lessons about the Grand Line. Shampoo and Ukyo act as waitresses... and quickly start running duels as they fight to be the waitress who delivers the customer's food.
      • Ryoga serves as the maitre d, which leads to him getting a chair broken over his head by a pirate captain. Said captain is stunned when Ryoga doesn't even react to the chair and just blasts the pirate off the boat. Then Royga panics that the money for the chair is coming out of his paycheck... except they're not getting paid so he has to pay it out of pocket!
    • At their first day on the job as temp waitresses, the girls show up cold and miserable from a frigid pre-dawn bath. A bemused Zeff points out that the Baratie has its own bathing area with hot water, and that they could have just asked to use it.
    • Ranma's plan A for training a reluctant Nabiki in the arts of flight and danger evasion: borrow Shampoo's sword and chase her around the Milka's deck repeatedly.
    • Shampoo, Ukyo, and Kodachi inadvertently pin Zeff to the wall with some free-flying daggers during one of their mid-serving "spars". The furious chewing out he gives them can be heard on the deck of the Milka.
    • Ranma compares being struck by Zeff's peg leg to being hit by Cologne, then having to explain to the confused chef that doing so is a compliment.
    • Once the Kamikaze Pirates leave, Patty asks Zeff if he agreed to let them stay and work at the Baratie for a week to prevent the asskicking girls from running into Sanji at Loguetown.
  • Chapter 9:
    • The chapter opens with Nabiki falling overboard whilst trying to walk on the gunwale for balance training, and not for the first time judging by Umok's commentary. Even Ranma gets in on it by teasing Nabiki for failing.
    • Trying to pep up the team immediately after landing at Loguetown, Ranma points out that they're all still alive after traveling together for the better part of two months. The others are distinctly unimpressed, pointing out how little a compliment that actually is.
    • Umok brings up to Ryoga that he's the only martial artist on the ship who doesn't have a name for his style. When he suggests that Ryoga might call it "Hibiki School of Anything Goes", Ryoga visibly shudders before telling the imp to Never Say That Again.
    • Nabiki and Kodachi teaming up to play dress up, with Ukyo as the reluctant model.
    • Smoker's replacement in Logue Town is a lollipop-loving captain Chaser. And she looks like a white-haired Kasumi. And due to the timing of Buggy's escape being right when Ranma's crew is in town, she ends up becoming an enemy to Ranma and co.
      • When she gets serious about fighting the crew, Chaser throws off her weighted jacket in what would be a badass moment... if it weren't for everyone being shocked that the woman who looks just like Kasumi is wearing what amounts to a sling bikini for her top which covers just enough that she's not technically topless.
Chaser: Get ready to get serious!
Nabiki: What the hell are you wearing, Kasumi?!
Kodachi: I must say, Miss Tendo, I had no idea you were so bold.
Ryoga: (has a nosebleed before passing out)
Ranma: Really, pig-boy? You pick now to remember your thing about women's bodies?
Shampoo: ...Is she bigger than Shampoo?
Ukyo: ...Aren't you cold in that getup?
  • Chapter 10:
    • The Kamikaze Pirates meet Crocus... and very quickly lose patience with his penchant for dramatic pause gags.
    • Upon hearing about Laboon's being left behind because he was too small and weak to survive in the Grand Line, the Kamikazes incredulously look from the gargantuan whale to Crocus. Crocus defensively insists that Laboon was much smaller in those days.
    • In a perfect example of Tempting Fate, Ryoga comments that the so-called "gauntlet" between the entryway to the Grand Line and the closest islands is a nice sunny day. Cue Umok suddenly comes screaming across the deck as his hat bursts into flame, seconds before a torrential downpour hits. And that's when the Grand Line starts to really get creative...
  • The first thing that Apis does when she meets Umok in Chapter 11 is asking just what he is. In a Call-Back to chapter 1, the imp introduces himself as a parrot... which Apis is having none of.
  • Apis' blunt opinion on hearing about Jusenkyo Curses: they sound lame, compared to Devil Fruits.
  • Chapter 12:
    • Upon discovering that the winner of the Grand Octopree will win chests full of pearls as a prize, Nabiki not only volunteers Ranma to join but has to be bodily dragged back from trying to grab the prize right there and then.
    • When Ranma decides that he (currently she) wants to try a local Eating Contest which consists of eating fifteen dozen oysters in under an hour, Kodachi volunteers to do the same, under the impression she will be helping Ranma in his efforts — which quickly prompts the competitive and jealous Ukyo and Shampoo to do the same, unwilling to let Kodachi advance ahead of them in Ranma's favor. When it turns out that they're instead expected to eat their own set of 180 oysters each, that same pride means they can't turn down the challenge, forcing them to start gorging themselves alongside their Gender Bender love interest.
    • At the end of the Eating Contest Ranma asks a particularly queasy-looking Ukyo if she's okay. Ukyo opens her mouth to assure him that she's fine, only to instead unleash an absolutely monstrous belch that is described as loud enough to be heard down the block. When it finally ends, a mortified Ukyo sheepishly confesses that she feels better now.
    • Naturally, Kodachi immediately tries to mock Ukyo for her slip-up in decorum by taunting her about being so unfeminine... only for Laser-Guided Karma to strike when her Noblewoman's Laugh is cut off by a loud, deep burp, leaving her blushing and covering her mouth in humiliation.
    • When an annoying fishman pirate named Reefster keeps hitting on Ranma's female form, Nabiki interrupts by telling him that "she" doesn't swing that way. Cue Ukyo grabbing Ranma and passionately kissing "her" on the mouth in front of him, humiliating the would-be Casanova.
    • The scene of the collective population of the Great Octopus Shogunate gathered to watch the Grand Octopree is described as "a scene out of a Japanese schoolgirl's most hentai nightmares".
  • Chapter 14:
    • Eldrago gorges himself on Bokuden's pork buns so messily that he ends up choking, leaving Apis momentarily hopeful that he will choke to death on his own breakfast.
    • Ranma makes a big entrance to Eldrago by casually knocking her "escort" unconscious... then she spots the pork buns and forgets all about what she was about to say to instead start gorging herself.
    • The Kamikaze Pirates need a distraction before they can attack the mercenaries Eldrago left behind to hold the village hostage. Umok promptly floats out into the middle of the village, sits down on the eave of a house, and starts singing at the top of his lungs, which allows Ryoga to knock the goons out with a Perfect Shishi Hokodan.
      • As it turns out, Umok spent a century or two trying to make it as a folk singer, and he's rather embarrassed to have to admit that, despite being surprisingly good at singing still.
    • Having escaped from Lost Island aboard Eldrago's ship, and with Warship Island dead ahead, Ranma gloats that the only possible way Eldrago could catch up to them is if he can fly. Cue the rival pirate captain dropping out of the sky right then and there, shortly before he reveals to an incredulous Ranma that he can use the Scream-Scream Fruit to fly.
  • Chapter 15:
    • The crew was very eager to leave Warship Island so they could escape the sound and smell of a massive dragon orgy. None of them envy Apis learning why her Grandpa Ryu was so eager to find the nesting grounds.
    • When Ranma sees Miriam for the first time, he's baffled by how her bikini can hold her massive breasts, and can't help but stare. Luckily, the universe hears his silent pleas, and the girls don't catch him doing so.
    • When Ranma says that Ryoga is a bigger pervert than Kuno, Kodachi takes offense until he clarifies that he meant her brother, which she notably doesn't deny and simply says that she accepts his apology.
    • Nabiki needs to be carried due to the massive distances the crew has to cover in the giant village. Before Ranma can pick her up, Shampoo does so. A terrified Nabiki tries to assure Shampoo that she wasn't flirting with Ranma, and Shampoo replies that she knew that, she just doesn't like Nabiki rubbing her breasts on Ranma. That'd be funny enough, but Shampoo refers to Nabiki's bosom as her "itty-bitties", a clear dig at their comparative bustiness, and Nabiki's immediate mental response is to protest that her boobs aren't that small.
  • Chapter 16:
    • Miriam casually eats a mushroom, then boasts her Nonhuman Humanoid Hybrid nature should protect her when their local guide Harumi protests that it's poisonous. True enough, it doesn't kill her... instead, it sends her on a short Mushroom Samba, reverting her back to the mind of a little girl who snatches up the indignant Harumi and treats him like a doll before she reverts back to normal... only to then start heaving her guts up as her stomach rejects the toxic offering. The icing on the cake is the way that Ranma condescendingly asks if she's learned a lesson today about not eating strange foodstuffs.
    • Femille men who wish to learn how to fight must abandon their family and join the Mourning Wood School.
    • Ranma challenges Harumi's mother to a duel. She passes her swords to her entourage, and then her top so she's bare from the waist up. Refusing to be intimidated, Ranma promptly tears off her own top and smirks when she notes Masami getting flustered that Ranma's bust is larger.
    • Miriam tries to sneak into the Crying Willow school as part of the plan by swimming up the river... except the problem is that she's a Giant Woman, so the river is barely big enough to conceal her. She slithers along the riverbed like an eel, struggles to fit in through the flow-way under the fortress walls, and then after all that effort, she gets spotted immediately because people are gathered around the river to battle a fire that Ukyo set earlier. At which point the wotan decides to screw sneaking around and just starts rampaging across the estate like a miniature kaiju.
    • Ranma finds himself confronted by Harumi's mother Masami once more, and this time she has backup in the form of her relatives. Reluctantly deciding that he can't risk being overwhelmed, the Gender Bender pirate captain promptly resorts to the "Saotome Final Attack": Ranma poses dramatically, proclaims the first half of the technique... and then spins on "her" heel and sprints off as fast as "she" can, screaming "Run Away!" at the top of "her" lungs. It's a perfect Call-Back to Ranma first using the technique against Ryoga in the Bakusai Tenketsu arc.
    • Ryoga's curse is modified to mimic Ranma's, replacing his piglet form with a human girl form. Ranma is horrified to realize he actually thinks Ryoga's cursed form is hot... and Ryoga promptly knocks herself unconscious with a nosebleed after looking at her own body.
  • Chapter 17:
    • When Harumi first learns that Ukyo and Ranma are engaged, he nearly Squees and demands to know all the details in a manner that puts Ukyo in mind of a gossip-hungry teenage girl.
    • When Miriam and Ryoga engage in a Brawler Lock to test their respective mights, Ranma has to basically tell Harumi to stop drooling over the sight of Miriam in full amazon mode.
    • When confronted in his bedroom by the flirtatious trio of Ukyo, Kodachi and Shampoo, Ranma privately notes that he's had dreams like this.
    • During a sparring session, Shampoo inadvertently knocks Harumi clean off the ship with one strike, before blushing and trying to hide her sword like a guilty little girl.
    • Ranma and Harumi are attacked by a bounty hunter who Ranma describes as a cosplayer who couldn't choose between Sailor Moon and Vampire Hunter D.
    • The Nerima residents only learn about News Coos in this chapter, and Nabiki is rather annoyed that could have had a steady supply of reading material this whole time.
    • Ranma starts sulking when he finds out that not only is his bounty less than Luffy's, his female form now has a higher bounty than his male form.
  • Chapter 18:
    • Shampoo's plan to infiltrate the party? Pretend to be a Right-Hand Cat to go along with Ranma's pretense of being "Lord Kuno of the Black Rose Kingdom".
    • Upon the Kamikaze Pirates deciding they will make a Black-Tie Infiltration, Ryoga almost immediately declares that he would rather pretend to be a girl than pretend to be Ranma's butler. His Tempting Fate is so obvious that even Ranma can see it, so he holds his tongue and just lets his old rival dig himself deeper.
    • Ranma goes in to check on Miriam and finds her casually gnawing on a cannonball. Which the mortified wotan then spits out so they can talk.
    • When Ranma tries to reassure Miriam by promising her that she'll be invited to dance, he mentally promises to make Harumi swallow his fears and ask her, by force if necessary. Then Miriam thinks that Ranma is implying he has a crush on her, and quickly tries to tell him that she's not interested... which only prompts a panicking Ranma to explain he was talking about Harumi, not himself.
    • When Shampoo is pondering on something that Umok had said about using her Zoan traits to make herself more appealing to Ranma, she decides to stop, in part because she inadvertently pictured herself with multiple bosoms.
    • Miriam talking to her stomach as if it were another person and trying to bargain with it to not make her look like a gluttonous fool at the party. She even lampshades how silly the habit makes her look.
      • Icing on the cake is that Harumi will later see her literally gulping down a platter of several dozen sausages smothered in melted cheese and sauce, so either her stomach didn't listen, or that's Miriam's idea of a "light snack"!
    • When a disguised female Ryoga uses the "powder my nose" phrase, the other Kamikazes are surprised that they even know that phrase.
    • When Ranma is outed as a pirate captain, the Baron Sukumvit acts like a kid who has just gotten the present he's been yearning for all year. The reason why is made clear when he punches Ranma clean across the room whilst Ranma is trying to give his "pirate captain speech".
    • Upon the brawl erupting, Shampoo immediately picks a fight with Chaser Akasuki, who is described as looking like a cross between female Ranma and Akane Tendo. The Chinese Amazon Zoan even notes that though she shouldn't, she's going to enjoy this, with the obvious implication that Akasuki's resemblance to Shampoo's bitterest rival from Nerima is going to make the fight quite a cathartic one for Shampoo.
      • And then she is forced to retreat when Akasuki brings out her weapon of choice, a fiery sword, cackling with glee and ranting about the fire.
    • After watching Ukyo take out three marines and then counter-charge half a dozen more, Nabiki comments on Ranma attracting violent women. Then a marine tries to grab her. She promptly Kachu Tenshin Amagurikens him in the balls before spin-kicking him unconscious.
    • When Ranma announces that the Kamikaze Pirates should flee the mansion, Ukyo turns to Nabiki to ask if she needs a hand... only to find that Nabiki is already gone and she's talking to herself.
    • Ryoga finds himself doused with hot tea and reverting to male form in front of a very startled Kiyoshi. Things get all the more awkward when his abused dress promptly gives up the ghost and disintegrates around him, leaving him naked save for his underpants in front of her. He tries to cover said underpants with his hands which only succeeds in making it look like he's not wearing any, which only makes her reaction worse.
  • Chapter 20:
    • A hagfish fishman uses his the skills of his fish species and hocks up a giant glob of slime onto Nabiki. Even his crewmates are disgusted, and Nabiki ends up chasing him in fury while he Screams Like a Little Girl.
    • Miriam, after learning that Harumi hadn't ever managed to successfully make a Razor Wind attack before that fight, jokingly says it's a good thing that he's a good learner under pressure and tries to lightly swat at his shoulder, but ends up knocking him to the deck by accident.
    • Ranma wondering how the Hell a robot girl ended up in their loot.
  • Chapter 21:
    • Ranma awakens to find the ship has been invaded by a clan of squid-ninjas. A sheepish Miriam explains they are agents of a "squinja" prince who has born a grudge against her ever since she bit off his "special tentacle", so now they randomly show up to try and exact revenge. Ranma promptly laughs and declares that she fits the crew perfectly, since "random weirdos" showing up seeking revenge for "stupid stuff" is a big part of all their lives.
    • Upon hearing of Ratchet's plan to conquer the world with the Turtle Island Shimagame, the Nerimans, all very familiar with kaiju movies, start asking what special powers Shimagame has. When a confused and annoyed Ratchet asserts that Shimagame cannot fly, breathe fire, or shoot lasers out of her eyes, they collectively denounce her as "lame".
  • Chapter 22:
    • Ryoga gets his first bounty. Problem is, the picture is of him after his dress fell apart at Sukumvit's party, half-naked and blushing up a storm.
    • Ranma tricks Ace into a training session by using ki to hit him despite the latter's Logia powers as part of a wager. When Ranma mentions that lunch is included, Ace says that he should have mentioned that, to begin with.
    • Ukyo, mad about the crew complaining that she tends to make okonomiyaki more often than not, decides to cook up things like spiders, grubs, rats, brains, etc. as payback. Much to her surprise, Ranma, Shampoo, and even Kodachi, all start digging in with genuine enjoyment.
    • Nabiki teaches herself how to Roof Hop... out of sheer indignation at being pickpocketed.
  • The Davy Back Fight arc across Chapters 23 and 24:
    • When Ranma and his crew first meet Foxy, the captain of the Foxy Pirates starts bragging about his 920 win streak... and then collapses in dismay when Hamburg points out his recent defeat. The sight is so pitiful that Ranma notes he feels bad that he was going to say yes, which causes Foxy to immediately spring up and declare the Davy Back Fight has been accepted.
    • Upon seeing the Foxy Pirates setting up a faux-carnival as part of the Davy Back Fight, Ukyo immediately sets up an okonomiyaki stand, which proves quite popular.
    • When Kodachi is ambushed by some of the Foxy Pirates during the Spider Sky Walk, she responds to their attempts to knock her off of her walkway by using her new "Roses of Hell" technique: scattering rose-shaped firebombs that threaten to cook them alive.
    • After winning the Spider Sky Walk, Foxy's first pick from the defeated Kamikaze Pirates? Ukyo Kuonji. Because he loved her okonomiyaki and thinks it'll make him a fortune in subsequent Davy Back Fights.
    • Itomimizu responds to Foxy's choice by begging for the chance to stop for lunch. Foxy has to snap at him to get his head back in the game.
    • During the Captain's Match, Itomimizu gets in a subtle dig at Ranma by pointing out that he's earned a bounty of 95,000,000, but hasn't yet proven important enough to earn a epithet from the Navy.
    • Ranma decides to go topless for the Captain's Match, and his four would-be girlfriends are very appreciative of the decision. So are many of the Foxy Pirate's female crew, judging by the cheers and wolf-whistles emerging from their part of the stands.
    • Foxy revealing to Ranma he thinks that the male Ranma stole his position (and name) from the female Ranma at the end of Chapter 23.
    • Kodachi gives the Kamikaze Pirates an edge in the Pick-a-Pretty Pirate match by bombing the Foxy Pirates' dressing rooms with one of her sleeping powder bouquet bombs.
    • During the Pick-a-Pretty Pirate match, Penelope laFloo freaks out when Ranma casually describes Shampoo's great-grandmother Cologne as "a three-hundred-year-old martial arts grandmaster who could probably sink a Navy battleship with her bare hands".
    • Ryoga, as "Yoiko", being forced to partake in the Pick-a-Pretty Pirate match. Which culminates in him forfeiting out of sheer humiliation.
    • Which of the participants ultimately wins the Pick-a-Pretty Pirate match? Harumi.
    • When Porche loses the match to Harumi, partially due to breaking the rule against overtly attacking your opponent, she tries to run off in tears... and ends up falling over in one of the oil slicks she created to beat Nabiki earlier.
    • During the Scoffalotta match, how do the Kamikaze Pirates keep Foxy from using his Slow-Slow Beam to cheat? By hitting him in the face with flying sausages whenever they think he's trying to zap them.
    • To prevent Porche from using her Flower Hypnosis attack to cheat during the Scoffalotta match, Miriam settles on a simple solution. She eats Porche's baton, and ends up burping up a cloud of fumes when it blows up in her stomach.
    • The snappy banter between Itomimizu and Nabiki Tendo during the Flying Fish Frenzy.
    • The Foxy Pirates freaking out when they discover that the Flying Fish Frenzy isn't a swimming race, it's a bare-hands fish-catching contest. Using ligerfish, a "cross between a tigerfish and a lionfish" that are summed up as super-sized piranhas with bad tempers and covered in poisonous spikes.
    • How do they keep Foxy from interfering in the Flying Fish Frenzy? Ranma throws a ligerfish in his face, which bites him on the nose and sends him running away in agonized panic.
    • Ryoga's complete inability to follow directions frustrates the Foxy Pirates immeasurably during Blind Man's Blunder; he keeps running in a circle for five minutes despite them. Also? He wins the match by simply randomly smashing through walls until he wanders into the endzone by pure chance.
    • Ranma wins the chance to get himself back on the Kamikaze Pirates and since he can’t be in two places at once, Foxy demands to know where his twin sister is for the choosing ceremony. Bear in mind the crew made up the excuse that Ranma’s male and female forms are actually twin siblings who share the same name. Ryoga makes up the excuse that girl!Ranma ate something that didn’t agree with her and was stuck in the bathroom. Foxy objects…not to Ryoga acting as proxy but to the implication that someone got sick off Foxy Pirate cooking. Ryoga’s response? Specify that she’s lactose intolerant but couldn’t resist getting the nacho fries and just like that Foxy drops the whole thing with a smile. Ryoga’s sheer bafflement just says it all.
    • Ranma mockingly calls Foxy an "old fart" at the start of the second Captain's Match. An indignant Foxy protests that he's only thirty-seven.
  • Chapter 25:
    • Chaser is so fixated on Captain Flammenwerfer's "absurdly glorious" mustache that Sukumvit has to gently remind her that it's her turn to speak.
    • Miriam tests out her new Ground Punch, dubbing it the Seismic Slam... then pauses and notes that she doesn't really know if she likes the name. Ryoga promptly consoles her that naming techniques is the hardest part, whilst casually bashing his way through a contingent of Marines.
    • Shiki's first reaction to seeing Dyna is to ask in shock if she's a giant crab.
    • Upon meeting Dr. Indigo and his pet gorilla Scarlet, Ranma, and Nabiki debate if he's a gorilla in clothing or just a guy who looks like a gorilla, with Harumi chiming in to lampshade the many, many weird-looking people they've encountered.
    • On their second-last day at Merville, the Kamikaze Pirates decide to relax in Shiki's personal pool. Ranma and Ryoga immediately start wrestling in the water, after Ranma splashes Ryoga with a cannonball. Then Ukyo decides to join in.
    • Penelope manages to take down Shiki, the Golden Lion, a Warlord-plus tier pirate, a former crewmate of three of the Four Emperors... by spraying him in the face with her stinking musk.
  • Chapter 26:
    • Dyna deploys concealed lights built into her body so they can see in the darkness of the Stomach Baron. An incredulous Ranma points out that she never mentioned being able to do that before, to which Dyna bluntly replies that he never asked.
    • Kodachi gets extremely touchy when the time she was brewing chemicals with her window closed gets brought up.
    • When the Kamikaze Pirates give Lilith her first meal in a week, they learn something unexpected about the Zoan user. Turns out that one of the perks of having a Snake-Snake Fruit? Using the distending jaws so you can eat food faster. She devours a literal bucket of fried rice in a series of mega mouthfuls, to the point that Miriam chides her to slow down. Ranma even compares her to Picolet Chardin.
    • Lilith's backstory for being stranded in the Stomach Baron? Shiki thought she was a spy when she stumbled into Dr. Indigo's SIQ laboratory and chased her there. Why was she in Dr. Indigo's lab? Because she was looking for the doctor's private moonshine still.
    • An incredulous Ryoga asks why Lilith would think that Dr. Indigo has a hidden still for brewing moonshine, and Lilith patiently explains that Indigo is a pirate doctor, so of course he has a moonshine still for his own private brewing. Shampoo promptly chimes in that she can confirm, as she's seen the still herself.
  • Chapter 27:
    • Lilith's first priority for the crew after escaping Shiki's mutant Stomach Baron: throw a party. Ranma's rebuttal: they need to bathe first because they're all covered in guts 'n' gore 'n' goop.
    • The Kamikazes start arguing over which of them should get to bathe first since they all agree that the boys shouldn't be bathing with the girls.
    • Lilith tries to seduce Ranma into letting her bathe with him and promptly finds herself held at swordpoint by the angry Kodachi and Shampoo.
    • Ranma proves that even if he has fallen in love with Nabiki, Kodachi, Shampoo, and Ukyo, he's still Ranma and still has his old foot-in-mouth problems by commenting that Nabiki "looks different", waving aside her highlighting of the obvious differences before loudly announcing that her boobs got bigger. He is absolutely mortified to realize what he just said aloud, and promptly runs away, which Ryoga and Harumi use as an excuse to steal first use of the bathroom.
    • Harumi praises Miriam as a sweet and gentle girl. An incredulous Ryoga points out she once kicked a Marine captain clean over his own Navy fortress and into the sea on the other side.
    • When Nabiki finally gets to the bathroom, she discovers that Ranma was right; her breasts really did get bigger. Which she learns when Shampoo starts poking and then fondling said bigger breasts, just like Nabiki did with Ranma's breasts when the Sex Shifter first arrived. Nabiki even notes that Shampoo's behavior feels weirdly familiar.
    • The massively buxom Lilith briefly screws with every last one of the human girls by asserting that her Snake-Snake Fruit caused her breasts to shrink, before admitting that she's just joking.
    • Kodachi tries to impress the hedonistic glutton Lilith by offering her a Fool's Gold sandwich — a whole baguette filled with a pound of crispy fried bacon and a jar each of peanut butter and jelly. A revolted Ukyo asks how the hell Kodachi stays so skinny when she eats things like that, which triggers an angry Kodachi to snap back that she doesn't eat them.
    • When Ranma hears about the exchange rate of beries to extols being 10,000 beries to the extol, he incredulously asks how it could be so high. Nabiki promptly asks him what his last test grade was in economics class, causing Ranma to wilt.
    • Shampoo promises to end her duel by spanking Nabiki. And she proves to be an Amazon of her word, literally throwing the defeated Mythic Zoan over her lap and swatting her butt until it turns red.
    • When a relieved Nabiki hugs Ranma over gratitude that he's alive after she lost control and drank his blood, she forgets about her newly increased bustline and nearly smothers him in her boobs. Which makes a nice turn-around from the time Ranma nearly smothered her in his boobs back on Karakuri Island.
    • Lilith asserts that Nabiki's newfound aggression and decreased inhibitions, a common side effect for newly minted Carnivorous Zoans, are such that Ranma was lucky she only engaged in Lecherous Licking in the battle in the Stomach Baron, as opposed to throwing him to the ground and having sex with him there and then. Nabiki turns Blue with Shock, whilst Shampoo notes that the idea sounds "kind of hot".
    • Upon hearing that Ranma is familiar with the side effects of blood loss, Shampoo just sighs and grumbles that she doesn't even want to hear what Genma did this time.
    • After discovering her haemokinesis, Nabiki tries to give Ranma an impromptu transfusion and is forcibly stopped by an enraged Shampoo, who points out that Nabiki has no idea what she's doing. Kodachi mildly cuts in that such a plan is probably quite unhygienic too.
    • Nabiki shows she still hasn't got her instincts even remotely under control by promptly drinking up all of the blood she just exuded to "help" Ranma.
    • Nabiki gets yet another painful reminder that her new Devil Fruit doesn't make her invincible when she discovers it makes her Prone to Sunburn.
    • When Shampoo interrupts Nabiki's attempt to steal a kiss from the sleeping Ranma, she comments that she wouldn't have thought Nabiki "had the ovaries" to try something so bold.
    • Ryoga's first reaction to the Stormbringer touching down on sea clouds? Grab Ranma and throw him in.
    • Nabiki, forgetting her newly acquired Super Drowning Skills, jumps into the sea cloud to see what it's like.
    • Ranma instinctively dives after Nabiki to save her... and ends up needing to be saved by her when he drops through the "bottom" of the sea clouds into the open void of sky six thousand plus meters above sea level, where Nabiki has already assumed her winged beast form and is flying safely back up.
    • The Stormbringer is attacked by a flying kraken... until Miriam bites its tentacle, causing it to burst like a balloon.
    • The first thing Ranma does upon getting back to the Stormbringer? Throw Ryoga overboard.
    • The first thing Lilith does upon meeting Ranma's female form is to start groping his boobs, proclaiming them "most magnificent". Ranma is very much not amused.
  • Chapter 28:
    • Nabiki overuses her blood manipulation powers and finds there's a catch; she shrinks down into a chibi werebat.
    • When asked how Ranma intends to fix Nabiki's shrunken size, he boldly and forthrightly declares... that he has no idea. Cue Face Fault from Nabiki.
    • Ryoga recoiling in horror at the idea of being asked to let Nabiki practice her blood drinking on him. Followed by Kodachi declaring she'd be happy to volunteer... once Nabiki has proven she can do so without losing control of her appetite. Then Shampoo interjects she is happy to do the collecting in Nabiki's place, holding up a huge needle.
    • When the Stormbringer sails into its first White Sea storm, Ranma asks Lilith why she says they're worse than their Blue Sea counterparts. Cue an enormous thunderbolt shooting up from the sea-clouds beneath them. Ranma promptly declares he doesn't need any further explanation.
    • Ryoga asking Dyna if she really has to use her Robo Speak or if she just does it because she likes it.
    • Upon arriving at Thunderhead Bay, Lilith starts fondly reminiscining about a "killer party" she once attended, where she had sex with identical twin women. A blushing Ranma cuts her off, mortified, but Ukyo and Kodachi privately agree they kind of want to know the details.
    • Penelope confesses that she had assumes Umok was a half-feral pet monkey that somebody dressed up like a clown as a joke. Umok is clearly insulted by this revelation.
    • When shopping for clothes with Lilith and Penelope, Nabiki can't help but irkedly notice that even after her recent Breast Expansion, she's still the flattest girl there by comparison.
    • Lilith reveals that between being a sky-seas native and having a Snake-Snake Zoan, she's immune to sunburn. Nabiki is absolutely livid with jealousy at this news.
    • Lilith hits on Nabiki, who gets squicked out and then wonders if this is how Akane felt all the time.
    • Lilith admitting cheerfully to having no clue how she transforms her clothes when she shifts shape.
    • Ukyo and Shampoo get front-row seats as a fishmonger starts a street-spanning brawl fought with his own rotten wares, before being informed that Unhygienix is more or less paid by the other shopkeepers on his street to keep his stall open because the fights that start over his rotten fish are seen as great fun.
    • An embarrassed Kodachi admits to Ranma that she once tried to use beef dripping to oil her rifle, which leaves Ranma in stitches and Kodachi protesting that she was only six years old.
    • Ryoga spends hours trying to sight-see... and never makes it out of the docks. Even Umok is perversely impressed by this feat of non-competence.
    • Lilith gushes over Urouge, seeing him as her hero due to his extensive record of debauchery across the Sky-Sea. He's happy to meet a fan, though he does lament that drinking the only remaining wine from the Void Century was a bad idea as it'd gone bad.
    • Harumi and Miriam go on a date in town only to somehow start a massive fire and piss off everyone in town. They each try to claim responsibility, listing off a number of bizarre inciting incidents ranging from a pyromaniac alcoholic clown to a flock of angry geese and an attack by angry nuns.
    • When the fire frist breaks out and it's confirmed that Harumi and Miriam were responsible, Ranma can't help but liken Kodachi's face to somebody who was about to bite into a candy, only to have it switched at the last moment with a peeled lemon. Something he knows intimitately because Genma used to do that to him all the time. Until he tried it after Jusenkyo, whereupon Ranma made, quote, "a very spirited attempt to stuff that lemon into a particularly uncomfortable crevice of Genma's body".
    • Upon everybody returning to the ship, Nabiki immediately accuses Ranma of being responsible for starting the fire. Ranma protests, but admits she has a reason to blame him.
    • Ranma tries to insult Ryoga by calling him "Porchetta", which ends up confusing Ryoga so much that Ranma tries to defend it as a P-word that he thinks is some kind of fancy bacon but also believes it sounds like a girl's name. Even Ranma's girlfriends express disappointment in such a lame pun, with Ranma being unable to defend himself.
    • Ryoga tries to get the last word in when Ranma dismisses the idea of pressing Lilith about her bounty by announcing that Ranma shouldn't come crying to him if he wakes up halfway down Lilith's gullet. The Cobra zoan promptly hits Ryoga from across the deck with a projectile belaying pin and indignantly screams about not being a cannibal.
    • After Dyna shoots off some bounty hunters that were pinning down Lilith so the Zoan can get free, Lilith asks how Dyna knew that she could do that without hitting Lilith, and Dyna says that she didn't. Lilith worriedly tries to ascertain if she's joking or not.
    • Lilith insists that somebody trying to set the town of Thunderhead Bay on fire is a regular occurrence, though usually it just smolders. She's adamant that the townsfolk are more likely to be impressed the couple got an actual fire going than angry.
    • When the bounty hunters first try to invade the Stormbringer, the first gang to get there is a bungling Terrible Trio clearly based on the Doronbo Gang. Even Nabiki is amused by the sight, clearly recognizing the similarities.
    • Ryoga sees Ranma jumping on the heads of some bounty hunters and gets distracted trying to think of the video game character that reminds him of... which doesn't affect his combat skills at all.
    • Nabiki overhears Kodachi making a dramatic outburst about drinking the blood of her enemies, and joking about how she is supposed to be the vampire. Much to the terror of the goon she's Neck Lifting, who proceeds to piss his pants. Which distracts Nabiki long enough for somebody else to shoot her in the face. She promptly kicks more ass whilst ranting about the Training from Hell that Ranma will put her through if he learns what just happened.
    • Harumi finds himself confronted by the drunkard pyromaniac clown from the Noodle Incident at the bar. Just as it seems he's going to burn, the clown asks Harumi for his last words. Cue Miriam shouting "Fore!" and giving the clown just long enough to comment on what a dumb last word that is before she belts him all the way back to the city with her anchor. Followed by Harumi teasing her about her golfing skills.
  • Chapter 29:
    • The chapter opens with Ranma watching smugly as Shampoo beats the tar out of Ryoga, under the pretext of using him as a living test dummy for her Cobra Style Kung Fu practice with Lilith.
    • Shampoo mentions she isn't the best at Cobra Fu, but she's at least better at it than she is at Tibetan Ghost Bat Fu. A disbelieving Nabiki asserts that she's making that style up, only for Ranma to interject that it's a real style. The fact that Nabiki is casually hanging upside down by her feet when she says this somehow makes it funnier.
    • Shampoo mentions as an aside that her former crush married one of her cousins, and they'd just become parents to a set of twin girls before Shampoo met Ranma at the tournament. Ukyo blurts out that the Chinese Amazons sure move fast, something that everybody is noted to be thinking, before an indignant Shampoo protests that both of the new parents are three years older than she is.
    • Lilith teasingly asks if Ranma is scared of getting cursed for robbing a nunnery. Cue every ex-Nerima resident on the crew (who are all very familiar with curses) shouting "Yes!" simultaneously.
    • When the Kamikaze Pirates are seemingly locked out of the nunnery and Lilith suggests they just brute force their way inside, Ranma protests that he's not going to beat up a bunch of helpless women... and gets the stink-eye from Kodachi, Shampoo and Ukyo all at once.
    • The whole Kamikaze Pirate crew gets dressed up as nuns... except for Dyna, who is so oddly shaped that the best they can come up with is to give her a nun's headdress and call it a day.
    • Miriam doesn't fare much better; her stature and figure results in the apparel looking more like a tube-top and booty-shorts, and she outright proclaims she looks like the star of a very niche porno.
    • Ryoga and Dyna are assigned to dig new chambers out of the "rock" of the island-cloud. After Dyna nearly gives Ryoga a heart-attack by shouting at him (currently her) to stop before he can use his untested Bakusai Tenketsu on it, she then stops him again... so she can properly position him in the right direction.
    • Shampoo and Ukyo are assigned to milk and shear a herd of goats... specifically thundergut goats. So called because they can fly... by jet propelling themselves with their farts. Cue the whole herd blasting off in all directions.
    • Shampoo gets Ukyo all flustered by declaring that she "likes" Ukyo and wouldn't mind sharing Ranma with him... and then switches from flirty to teasing by ordering Ukyo to go and actually catch the flying goats, on the basis that she's the only one who knows how to shear and milk them.
    • Whilst trying to stand up for Miriam in the laundry, Lilith loudly slaps the wotan on the butt. Miriam dryly asks if Lilith was trying to be supportive or just cop a feel. Lilith simply replies "both", grinning shamelessly. Miriam promptly gives her a Dope Slap with her tail, whilst Kodachi has a Face Palm and sighs about Lilith's antics.
    • At dinner, Ukyo casually refers to Shampoo by a new friendly nickname; "Shamps". The Chinese Amazon very clearly isn't sure what she thinks of it.
    • Whilst sneaking around that night to find the vault, the Kamikazes instead discover a hidden armory/chapel hybrid. Taking center of pride is a statue of a naked woman in the very intimate embrace of a golden snake, with Ranma blushing like mad when he figures out exactly where its tail is going.
    • During the fight, Kiyoshi angrily denounces Ranma (currently in female form) as an "over-endowed, balloon-breasted bimbo". Ukyo, who is one of the less gifted in the bust department members of the crew, takes a look at the Chaser sister's endowments before grumbling about them being one to talk.
    • After the nuns break out some flame bazookas, Lilith tries to counter... by picking up Penelope in her tail and pointing her at the nuns, butt first. Nothing initially happens, but confusion makes them stop firing long enough for Lilith to lift up Penelope's tail and the hem of her dress before squeezing her belly. Cue the stinking musk.
    • Penelope chews Lilith out for using her like a living gas-gun in Fraucen/French that Kodachi is blushing at and absolutely refusing to translate for the rest of the crew.
    • When Ranma offers the Chaser sisters a cut of the loot from the nuns for their Enemy Mine efforts, Akasuki rejects it... only for Kiyoshi to accept. When Akasuki protests, Kiyoshi brings up their poor salaries — cue Akasuki blaming that on Kiyoshi's habit of losing her coats...
  • Chapter 30:
    • While Dyna was still Penelope's first choice to ask to go to the museum with her, Dyna is also quick to realize that no one else wanted to go with the mink archaeologist when she asked.
    • Penelope's attempt to diplomatically reason with the head of the museum rapidly declines until he dismisses her as a "smelly woman". Cue Dyna grabbing the mink and carrying her away before she can start strangling him. Especially when the scene ends with Penelope meekly asking if Dyna's going to put her down any time soon.
    • Nabiki privately observing with some amusement that Ranma's attempt to look like a wise captain who knows what he's talking about is very reminiscent of his father whenever Genma attempts to do the "sagely martial artist" routine.
    • When Vito mockingly asks if Ranma has any last words, Ranma insults Vito by saying that he looks like an extra from a bad porno. Even Kodachi is shocked, and a few of the man's crewmates seem to agree with him.
    • It's mentioned there are certain things you really don't want to do when fighting the Kamikaze Pirates. Some of these are obvious and practical, like not letting Ryoga get a grip on you, or not giving Ranma a verbal opening. Then there are the ones that are just plain odd, like "don't de-pants Penelope" or especially "don't call Ukyo a flat-chested one-note cook".
    • Bege trying to catch up to Ranma and Kodachi as they retreat to the docks... then realizing he hasn't a hope of doing so on foot before using Castle Tank to zip after them on his treads.
  • Chapter 31:
    • Ranma has started to call Shampoo "Shamps" as well, and she twists his ear in playful reprimand for it.
    • Umok decides to stay aboard the ship preemptively, with Lilith agreeing with him, saying that they aren't paying her enough for that (and calling Ranma "cutie"). Ranma replies by saying that he wasn't planning on asking either of them, while Ryoga gets confused, since he didn't think that the Kamikazes were paying her to begin with.
    • When they decide to stay behind with the ship while some of the other Kamikazes investigate the seemingly abandoned city, Ranma teases Miriam and Harumi by telling them that if someone manages to sneak aboard, they better not catch the two with their pants literally down, prompting a major blush from both of them.
    • When Dr. van Richten calls Devil Fruits a Blue Sea fairy tale, the Kamikazes just stare at him for a few moments before getting back to their conversation.
  • Chapter 32:
    • Whilst the scene is largely played for drama, there's something hilarious about the fact that Harumi manages to snap Lilith out of her terror-induced near-catatonia by promising she can sleep in his room. Followed by her turning into her full cobra form and then diving down his shirt, where she stays for much of the subsequent chapter.
    • Predictably, Penelope the archeologist goes gaga over the Hestavarian ruins in which Dyna's people live, much to the bemusement of Dyna's sisters.
    • Dyna and her "sister" Volta bickering over the Hestavarian gynoid custom of adding fake breasts, hips, and buttocks to their normally child-like cute Robot Girl bodies, and in particular their use of breast size to indicate social status, which they picked up during Dyna's centuries stranded in the Blue Sea. Highlights include Volta literally smacking Dyna with her breasts to try and assert dominance, and an amused Shampoo comparing them to the sisterly squabbles of Ling-Ling and Lung-Lung.
    • Harumi defeats a gunslinging rat zoan by throwing Lilith at her, with Lilith switching from cobra to naga and basically squashing her under her newly increased bulk. Followed by the revelation that the zoan is actually a guy... because he forgot that turning into his rat-man form makes his genitalia so big that they make an obvious bulge in his dress.
    • Lilith shamelessly admits that if Harumi's Evil Counterpart (who, according to Word of God, is named Bridget) wasn't a willing servant of her nemesis Kubera, she'd be dreaming about scoring with both Harumi and Bridget at the same time.
