     Days 1 and 2
  • Madoka and her parents are talking to a specialist about her awakening to a Soulbound when her mother asks why the marks are in the shape of a diamond.
Doctor Aiuchi: Soul marks take on many forms, though they typically are something linked to whomever was the one who ignited the Soulbond in the first place. To be a bit poetic, it represents whoever overcomes a great hurdle and is rewarded by the gods, or if you want to get medieval about it involving great magics.
  • While talking about Homura's sudden disapearance from the hospital after awaking to her Soulbound, Doctor Aiuchi hopes that she is not exerting herself too much due to her euphoria caused by awakening to her Soulbound due to her needing to recover from her recent heart surgery. Cut to Homura in the middle of a battle with a Witch, currently shooting said Witch to death, while still wondering why the heck she still feels so cold.
  • Mami is getting really annoyed about the fact that Homura keeps stopping time, mostly because she wants to wait for the school day to end before searching for her Soulmates and the time stops are not helping with that.
  • Madoka is walking around a store when time stops again. She is very much tempted to take advantage of the frozen time to take some more free samples after already doing enough that she worries that the place will start wondering if they have a ghost problem.
  • Once Mami calms down after finding Madoka, she mentions that she must have made an interesting impression that the first thing Madoka saw of her Soulmate was her crying. Madoka truthfully replies that the first thing she actually noticed about Mami was her hairstyle. Mami wastes little time teasing Madoka about her hair being the first thing she noticed.
Mami: This is the best day of my life. Though what an impression to make. The first thing you see of a Soulmate is her crying…
Madoka: Actually, the first thing I saw was your curls. I…I actually have no idea how you get them like that.
Mami: Oh, that’s what you noticed?
  • Madoka introduces Mami as her Soulmate to both Sayaka and Hitomi before school starts. How does Sayaka decide to tease Madoka about her new Soulmate?
Sayaka: So Madoka…you are now married to a lonely upperclassman with huge…
Hitomi: [Interrupting while glaring at Sayaka] ....ringlets.
  • Later, Madoka is talking to Sayaka and Hitomi about the fact that Homura escaped from the hospital shortly after awakening to her Soulbound. Hitomi asks how one can escape from a hospital, only for Sayaka to give an explanation on how. When Sayaka sees the looks that Hitomi and Madoka are giving her, she admits she thought about it after seeing how miserable Kyosuke has been.
Hitomi I’m pretty sure that doing that would be illegal.
    Sayaka: Nah…..probably. Misdemeanor at most.
Hitomi: That’s still a crime, Sayaka.
  • After noticing how much sheer hate Homura has for Kyubey (to the point that it nearly caused Madoka to choke on it), Mami starts thinking about cake when Kyubey shows up in front of her and Madoka in an attempt to distract Homura. Cut to Homura being suddenly struck a craving for cake, confused on why, but deciding to use some of the money she just stole from the Yakuza to buy one from a bakery she just passed by.

     Day 3
  • Madoka is curious about Sayaka’s, Hitomi’s, and her own potential as Magical Girls and asks Mami for her thoughts. Mami decides (with Homura's permission) to use Homura as a base to give an answer. While Sayaka and Hitomi aren't anything too special (Sayaka is two and half to three Homura's while Hitomi is only two Homura's), trying to give an answer for Madoka's potential leaves Mami at a complete loss.
  • Madoka is at school when Homura freezes time to ask a question about her younger brother Tatsuya.
Homura: Madoka, your brother keeps opening his mouth and making odd sounds. Is he going to start chewing on me?
Madoka: No, he’s just hungry. It’s about his snack time right about now.
  • Kirika meeting with Mami is a riot, helped in no small part by the fact that Mami is at a complete loss during the entire meeting.
    • Kirika introduces herself to Mami by shouting hello at the top of her lungs while Mami is in the school restroom.
    • Kirika ends up reading the instructions she was given by Oriko out loud to Mami before introducing herself.
Kirika: [Reading from a notecard] Kirika, pass on the message only to the large breasted one with yellow hair. Do not attempt contact if she’s with the pink-haired one with a karmic potential that will make you say that meme again. If you do appear anywhere near the pink-haired one where she can possibly see you and think to comment about it, or even think about having seen you, the scary one will kill you. No pink one, no problem! ‘Sup, name’s Kirika Kure!
      Mami: [Utterly Confused]
    • Kirika makes a reference to Oriko playing a game of thrones. Mami has no idea what Kirika is even referencing, to which Kirika says to wait a few more years for when the show comes out.
    • Kirika admits that Madoka’s sheer karmic potential has left her memeing IT’S OVER NINE THOUSAND!
  • Homura and Mami are in a Witch's Labyrinth that has taken the form of a large city. As the two of them are trying to figure out how to find the Witch, Mami gets an idea. Cut to her using her ribbons to swing around the city like Spider-Man while Homura holds on to her for dear life.
  • Mami is completely shocked when she sees Homura pull out a missile launcher to defeat the Witch. After the Witch is beaten, Mami decides that she isn't going to ask how Homura got her hands on that weapon for fear of what the answer might be.

     Day 4/Kamihama Interlude 1
  • While eating breakfast, Mel asks Iroha for a pancake with extra chocolate chips. Yachiyo tells Mel that she should have more fruit, while having a pile of pancakes that is three times the size of Mel's.
  • Iroha meeting with Mitama has several:
    • Mitama scans Iroha's power and says that she has four times the power of an average Magical Girl. This makes Iroha soar in pride until Mitama tells her that she is slightly above cannon fodder in Kamihama.
    • Momoko makes it clear that she thinks the whole power level measurement for Magical Girls is stupid, starting with its name.
    • Mitama says that Iroha will be fine as long as she has a plan unlike some magical girls like Yachiyo, which makes Mitama remember when she tried to scan Yachiyo's power. Yachiyo's reply to the attempt was to use her halberd to pin the scanner to a tree.
  • Homura is using some of Tatsuya's animal toys to visualize her options for dealing with Walpurgisnacht. She decides to pick an elephant to represent Walpurgisnacht and the animals that she chooses to represent herself, Mami, Koyoko, and Sayaka are a lizard, a cow, a fox, and a fish.
  • Tatsuya starts repeating “Tiro Finale” after Homura says it, causing her to think back and wonder whether Mami’s actually said that in front of her yet this timeline. During a later telepathic conversation with Mami, Homura comes up with stupid nicknames for her ultimate attacks while pretending not to know the real name, including Pizza Pizzaz and Minizioni LattatiaTranslation, then immediately pretends to have said it out loud right then. Homura also admits to having an attack named Hellzone Grenade, later confirmed to have been named by Kyoko.
  • Iroha awakens to her Soulbound at the same time she has her memories of her younger sister and her Soulmates restored. Her panic at remembering causes some headaches for Momoko.
  • When Yachiyo finally shows up to meet Iroha, she immediately asks Iroha what is harming her and where it is so she can destroy it. It is at that moment that Mel and Kanae realize that they probably should have told her what is going on with Iroha.
  • When Meiyui was turned into a werewolf by an Uwasa, Nanaka managed to subdue her by having Kako scratch her behind the ears. Her hand was starting to cramp, so Akira might have had to fight her again if Yachiyo and company hadn’t defeated the Uwasa.
  • Oriko is both annoyed and confused by the fact that all of the visions that she has of herself or Kirika trying to approach Homura involves them being shot on sight despite Homura never meeting them as far as she knows.

     Day 5
  • Homura wakes up Madoka's mother, who asks if Homura is the Grim Reaper in her half-asleep hungover state.
    Homura: No.
  • Madoka asks Homura if she happens to have anything that she likes doing outside of her tasks as a Magical Girl. Homura mentions that she was a fan of ballet and would try to see as many of them as she could before losing interest due to putting her survival first. Homura decides to show off the fact that being a Magical Girl now allows to do the ballet moves in question by transforming into her outfit, causing Madoka to panic that Homura's secret will become known when she hears Sayaka asks what they are doing seconds after Homura transforms back to normal.
    Sayaka: So, what’cha doing?
    Madoka: [Panicked Confusion] Wha…wha….wha!?
Sayaka: Parents totally had to flake, I’m free as a bird! Same with Hitomi!
Hitomi: [Over Sayaka's Comment] I…I wouldn’t use the term ‘flake’
Sayaka: Now, did we come at a bad time?
Madoka: [Still Panicking] Ba…bad time? What bad time? Why would it be a bad time!?
    • Madoka then thinks why did Homura even transform in the first place, which Homura mentally tells her it was to make her point more clearly.
    • Sayaka thinks that Homura was practicing her class introduction and that it will involve her kissing Madoka.
      Madoka: ...Eehhhhhhhhh!!!!
Homura: [While Trying not to Blush] I suspect that would violate at least one school rule.
Sayaka: Eh, you’re new, if you initiate it you’ll be fine.
  • Madoka then decides to take Homura out on the town, along with Sayaka and Hitomi. When Homura says that she will cover the cost of the trip, Sayaka says that Hitomi can cover it unless Homura is Secretly Wealthy. Homura replys that she can use her stolen drug money to pay for it. Madoka is seconds away from having a heart attack before both Sayaka and Hitomi laugh it off.
  • The group ends up going to an arcade first, where Madoka sees a stuffed fox that she wants that has a pretty high ticket cost.
Sayaka: [Seeing Madoka's reaction to the toy] Check it for diamonds.
    Madoka: It’s so big….so fluffy….
Hitomi ...It also costs a lot of tickets. ...If I spent that much on pure tickets, my parents would kill me.
    Sayaka: Yep. Mine too.
    • Sayaka tells Homura that they will need to grind for tickets if they actually want to get that prize and asks if Homura is good at the dance machines.
      Homura Not like that.
    • Sayaka then mentions that there is a VR Battle Royal shooter that they could take part in and asks if Homura can use guns well considering that Madoka and Hitomi would be hopeless in a game like that to which Homura says yes. Cut to the event being over, Madoka hugging both Homura and the fox plush and Sayaka and Hitomi in a state of shock about how well Homura performed while getting first place.
  • When Hitomi says that she doesn't know what films are actually playing at the local movie theater, Sayaka tries to tease her by saying that she has fancy sitting classes and pottery lessons to go to most of the time, only for Hitomi to tell her that she actually has pottery lessons that she goes to.
  • While going clothes shopping for Homura, Sayaka finds a suit for Homura to try. As Homura is putting it on, Sayaka starts teasing Madoka about seeing that it would be good practice for their wedding day.
Sayaka: Come on, Madokaaa, I know you want to see how your second wife will look at your wedding…
    Madoka: [Blushes even more]
Hitomi: That’s like four years away! Three maybe with…wait wait I’m not finishing that sentence.
Sayaka: Too late. Also we can’t put Mami in a tuxedo. That’s a disservice to her rack.
Madoka: I mean you aren’t wro… [Realizes what she is saying]
  • When Homura walks out of the changing room, it is very clear that Madoka likes what she sees.
    Madoka: Homa…hmra….hmur….homu…
Hitomi: She does look like a small version of your mother in that suit.
Sayaka: [Performs A Reboot on Madoka's Brain]
    Madoka: YoulookreallygoodHomurapleasecanwebuythateventhoughI’mnotsurewhenwe’llgettouseit!
  • Sayaka decides that the next thing they should look at are swimsuits. Both Madoka and Hitomi remind Sayaka to not pick something indecent.
Sayaka: Why would I do that in this store? We like this store and I don’t want to be banned from it.
  • Kyubey is thinking about Homura and wondering if he should try to get a violent reaction out of her before dismissing it because no veteran Magical Girl would be uncontrollably violent. Meanwhile, a Magical Girl in Kamihama avoids sneezing because they are in the middle of mindlessly attacking some Familiars.

     Day 6
  • During lunch, Madoka is fretting about a pop quiz she had. Homura asks what the questions were in an attempt to help see what questions Madoka got right, only to tell Madoka that she can't help when told that it was about European History (i.e. the one subject that Homura has absolutely no knowledge on from the time loops because of the massive changes to the timeline compared to what she knows).
  • After noticing Madoka being deep in thought during gym class, Sayaka asks if Madoka was thinking about certain activities that she could do with Homura and Mami. Madoka's attempt to tell Sayaka otherwise goes poorly.
Sayaka: [Sly look on face] Soooo… How are the wives doing?
    Madoka: Eh? Ah… Um…
Sayaka: I know there’s no trouble in paradise, but come on, there’s got to be something interesting if you can daydream about them in the middle of a volleyball game. So, come on, give me the juicy bits, the secrets…
Madoka: We aren’t doing anything ‘secret’ Sayaka, we just sleep in the same bed!
    [Beat]
Sayaka: ...Okay, now I’m even more curious.
  • Madoka and Sayaka end up in a Witch's Labyrinth while at the hospital to see Kyosuke. When Madoka tells Mami and Homura what has happened and where they where before the Labyrinth appeared, Homura thinks that the Witch is Charlotte and is relived that it isn't the case, to Madoka's confusion.
Madoka: I think there’s a Labyrinth at the hospital and me and Sayaka…
Homura: [Stops Time] Don't eat anything in there! Especially if it's chocolate or cheese!
Madoka: It’s…actually kind of a musical beach thing…I don’t see any chocolate. I won’t eat the birds though.
Naration: For some reason Homura seemed relieved. Were labyrinths with evil chocolate just worse than ones with evil music?
  • Because Sayaka was holding Madoka's hand, she wasn't frozen in time. This causes her to panic even more about what's going on and Homura starts swearing when Madoka tells her.
    • Mami asks Madoka how well Sayaka is taking it. The answer is not well, which is not helped by Madoka's poor attempt to calm her down.
Sayaka: [On the Verge of Panicking] Madoka…is reality breaking? Is reality breaking!? Oh god Madoka, why is time stopped too!?
Madoka: Um, Sayaka…it’s no big deal this happens all of the time now.
Sayaka: ...what? That…this does not happen all of the time. Time doesn’t…seagulls aren’t….why is everything’s color all washed out now?!
    • Homura tells Madoka to talk to Sayaka and make sure she doesn't try to fight the Witch or the Familiars.
      Madoka: Sayaka….um…..I can explain…
Mami: Maybe don't phrase it like that.
    • Madoka then gives a Motor Mouth explanation about what is going on that Sayaka somehow is able to understand.
      Madoka: Um…well…how do I put this…magicisrealthisismadebymagicandbothHomuraandMamiareMagicalGirls.
      Sayaka: Magic's real?!
      Madoka: You understood that!?
  • During Homura and Mami's fight with the Witch, Sayaka sees Homura pull a sword out of her shield to cut apart two Familiars. Sayaka's only thought is if Homura had a sword stored away, why did she give her a golf club to defend herself and Madoka from the Familiars.
  • Homura mentions that being Soulbound helps clean up the corruption of a Magical Girl's Soul Gem just by being close to their partner. Sayaka has a hard time believing it until she sees Mami's Soul Gem be cleaned just by Madoka kissing her.
Sayaka: Wait, Madoka literally restores your magic with hugs and kisses and stuff?
    [Madoka does just that]
    Sayaka: I was kidding!
  • Sayaka meets Kyubey for the first time and compares him to Senketsu. Kyubey admits that this is the first time that anyone has made that comparison.

     Day 7
  • Sayaka is in deep thought about what to wish for that she wouldn't end up regretting and is wondering who she could talk to about it when Mami suddenly contacts her telepathically, causing Sayaka to jump in surprise.
  • Sayaka tells Mami that Nagisa's Mother is on her mind as a possible wish.
Sayaka: It’s just…you and I can both agree that Nagisa’s mom is probably a bitch.
Mami: I think the only one who wouldn’t say that is Madoka, and she just doesn’t use that sort of language.
  • Homura senses a Familiar near the Zoo and decides to look for it by hopping the fence. Madoka complains about Homura doing that instead of paying for a ticket because that could cause the animals to starve, to which Sayaka reminds Madoka that the zoo is doing a free day today.
Sayaka: Ah damn, today of all days. It's free day. It’s going to be packed. That’s bad news on top of bad news, and I don’t even know if the animals are in any danger…Wait…are you in line right now?
    Homura: No.
Sayaka: Did you…did you hop the fence?
    Homura: Yes.
Madoka: Homura! You're supposed to pay! That’s how they feed the animals!
Sayaka: Um, Madoka, it’s free day.
    Madoka: [Clearly Embarrassed] ...Oh.
  • When Nagisa hears that Homura is at the zoo, she asks if Homura could get her a souvenir from there.
Madoka: Homura’s going to be busy, she won’t have time to get any.
  • Homura finds a Magical Girl trying to hunt the Familiar, thinking it was a Witch. When Homura tries to defuse the situation, the girl fires back that she isn't the local Magical Girl (Mami) while looking at Homura's chest. Homura is understandably annoyed.
  • After Homura uses one of her Grief Seeds to clean the other Magical Girl's Soul Gem after knocking her out. When the girl comes to and realizes what has happened, Homura starts a smile but decides to abandon it knowing that she isn't that good at doing so with people she doesn't know.
  • After finding out just how bad the Witch Drought has been outside of Mitakihara, Homura tells Takako Takeda, the Magic Girl that she ran into, that they should get some food while they talk before all of the kids eat it all.
  • There is something darkly humorous about the fact that Kyubey doesn't realize that he is slowly ticking Mami off with his idea of trying to get Madoka to Contract without Homura knowing until Mami nearly cracks the teacup she is holding, despite the massive hints Mami gives him during the conversation.
  • After seeing how much she has eaten, Takako says that the place is expensive.
Homura: [Shrugging] Capybaras need to eat too.
  • In an attempt to understand what Nagisa is capable of, Mami tells Nagisa to jump. When Nagisa does, she learns just how high she is able to jump into the air to both her and Sayaka's shock.
    Nagisa: Gahhhh!!!
    Sayaka: Fuuu…[Madoka Nudges Her]dge.
  • When Mami catches Nagisa as she comes down, Nagisa telepathically asks why Homura is covering Sayaka's eyes.
Sayaka: Hey, my eyes weren't moving up at all!
    Homura: Sure...

     Day 8
  • Kyoko sends a message that she wants to meet Mami in person. Mami is about to go out only to be reminded by Homura that she is currently in her underwear.
  • After being given a time and place, Mami says that she has to use her emergency plan in order to meet Kyoko without ruining her perfect attendance at school, causing a gas leak. Madoka quickly tells both of them that Sayaka can never find out about that because she will abuse it to get out of tests.
  • It is decided that Homura will meet with Kyoko and is given a Trust Password so that Kyoko knows that Homura was sent by Mami. When Homura arrives we find out that it is about an incident involving stolen used underwear.
  • The fight against the White Feathers has a few humorous moments:
    • Homura’s opponent ends up being Sute Kaneko, a Magical Girl whose power is being a walking talking Shonen Protagonist. Homura is completely clueless about what Sute is, even saying so during their fight, while Kyoko just wonders how her wish was even able to be granted (and whether or not Kyubey was drunk when the wish was made) and would rather stick to fighting the Magical Girl who can summon an endless wave of Dinosaurs.
    • Kyoko yells at Ryoko to fight like a Magical Girl and stop summoning Dinosaurs to attack her. Ryoko fires back that she is fighting like one by doing so.
    • The fight comes to an end when Mami shows up and tells Sute and Ryoko to stop fighting. Kyoko asks if Mami pulled a fire alarm to get out of school.
Mami: You know I don’t do that anymore.
    • Mami and Homura both find out that the sole reason that Kyoko is being hunted is because she didn't report about two Grief Seeds that she found while on a mission for The Wings of the Magius. Both of them are completely and utterly annoyed by this.
  • Ryoko is in shock when Homura tosses a bag containing five Grief Seeds for her and Sute to take to get them to leave. Then Homura mentions that it is a cheap price to pay to avoid any more conflict.
“Cheap!?” Kyoko half-squeaked, half-shrieked, her voice sounding like it was attempting to reach a whole new octave for human vocal chords.
  • Then after Ryoko and Sute leave, Homura pulls out another Grief Seed for Yuma to use after healing Kyoko's injuries. Homura's reply to Yuma's comment about having a lot of Grief Seeds is that she works very hard. Kyoko is left in shock on where did Mami even find Homura.
Kyoko: [To Homura] Do you actually sleep?
  • Mami tries to gently ask Kyoko if she was the person mentioned in the news that slammed Yuma's mom into a wall, only for Homura to bluntly ask the question.
Mami: This might be an odd question, but um…Kyoko….
Homura: Did you assault an abusive mother and run off with Yuma?
  • Madoka, in an attempt to cheer Mami up after her meeting with Kyoko, asks if she wants to go on a date with her. Mami quickly agrees to the idea and tells Madoka to come up with the plan for it.
Madoka: [Upon arriving at Hitomi's] Hitomi help! I accidentally asked Mami out on a date and I don’t know what to do!
Hitomi: Oh Madoka, that's wonderful! Don’t worry, I’m ready! [Shows Madoka multiple sets of clothes for her to wear]
  • Nagisa's attempt to act cool when introducing herself to Kyoko and Yuma is undercut by the fact that she is nervously tapping her foot onto the floor.
  • Kyoko, still reeling from being told that Mami now has Soulmates, is deep in thought about what happened to her family. Right after she asks for some sort of a distraction so she can stop thinking about them, Yuma turns around from her conversation with Nagisa to asks Kyoko what her favorite cheese is.
Kyoko: [Thinking] Please….please can someone distract her so these memories would go away!
Yuma: Ah! Kyoko! What’s your favorite cheese?
    [Beat]
    Kyoko: [Utterly Confused] What?
  • When Mami is telling Kyoko that she wants the two of them to start working together, Kyoko says that she doesn't want her presence to end up ruining things for her and her Soulmates.
Kyoko: ...Look, I, I already screwed things up bad enough once. I can’t let it happen again. Not to you.
Mami: Nothing bad happened to Oriko and Kirika.
Kyoko: ...You’re really using them as an example?

     Day 9
  • Madoka pacing around wanting the day to end so she could get to Homura being in with her at school. Sayaka tells her to stop pacing around before she wears out her shoes.
  • Madoka tells Sayaka that she wants the school day to be over now so it can be tomorrow's school day. Sayaka immediately goes to check and see if Madoka is sick, causing Madoka to smack Sayaka's hand away in annoyance.
  • Sayaka suggests that Madoka kiss Homura in front of Ms. Saotome when she introduces herself the next day, only to then change her mind for fear that it might cause Ms. Saotome to die of jealousy.
  • Sayaka gets the feeling that Ms. Saotome will have some sort of issue that she will complain about today and asks if people want to make bets. As Madoka tries to tell Sayaka that she shouldn't make bets like that, Mami chimes in and offers a cake if it isn't food related. When Sayaka says that it is too broad, Homura says she'll bet a katana that she took from the Yakuza that it will be about breakfast.
Sayaka: Okay, so if it's anything else the winner gets a katana. Man, I don’t know what I can put down for that! I know I want a magic sword…
Horuma: It would be a regular sword I stole from the Yakuza.
Sayaka: ...still cool and I don’t know what to wager for it.
  • As Kyoko is starting her training session with Yuma, she thinks back to a lesson that was done when she was working for the Magius about using your powers to fly. The lesson included Oriko standing on her orbs to fly around, which Kyoko does find both useful and hilarious.
  • Homura finds Kyoko in a training session with Yuma. When Kyoko asks if Homura has something else she could be doing, Homura tells her that she just finished looking around both Mitakihara and the nearby city of Kazamino for other Magical Girls. Kyoko tells her that she could have told her that Kazamino had no Magical Girls in the city any more and the group of Magical Girls that Kyoko knew were there aren't a threat to Mami.
Kyoko: ...I could have told you that. Kazamino’s a ghost town, used to be a team of five of ‘em out there who used to try to keep me out but didn’t see hide or hair of them before I got jumped.
Homura: I take Mami and Madoka’s safety very seriously.
Kyoko: You don’t need to protect Mami from those five, you’d have to protect them from Mami. [Starts thinking about how Mami would want to adopt them.]
  • Seeing that Kyoko is wondering why Nagisa is with Homura, Homura tells Kyoko that she had to pick Nagisa up from school because of a gas leak. Kyoko thinks that Mami taught Nagisa that lesson until Homura states that it was an actual gas leak.
    Kyoko: [Blinks] Those exist?
Homura: They do. Otherwise it would be odd that they only happen at one school.
  • Sayaka conversation with Kyubey has Sayaka telling Kyubey that she is not sure what she wants to wish for but she will not be someone who tries to wish for multiple wishes. Kyubey tells Sayaka, in a tone that makes it clear that he has had to deal with someone trying to wish for that way too many times, that he will not grant that wish.
  • Kyoko spots Homura shadowing Madoka and Sayaka at the arcade she happens to be at. When Kyoko asks if Homura intended to be stalking her, Homura just says that she is watching over Madoka and it was Sayaka that chose to head to the arcade.
  • Kyoko is slowly losing her temper as she sees Sayaka break her high scores at the D.D.R. machine. When she finally lets herself be known, she is fully expecting Homura to stop her from causing issues. Homura just shakes her head in annoyance.
  • Sayaka and Kyoko end up getting into a pissing match with one another. Madoka asks Homura what is going on, Homura's answer causes Kyoko to flip Homura off.
    Madoka: [Utterly Confused] What's happening?
Homura: Competition or flirting. Possibly both.
  • Homura admits to herself that Sayaka and Kyoko's first meeting being the two of them getting into a dance battle is odd, but at least it didn't end in dismemberment (with her thoughts implying that has happened multiple times throughout the time loops).
  • Homura thinks to herself that it would be a good thing if Sayaka and Kyoko end up becoming a couple, for it would be good for the two of them and would make her not worry about them being her other two yet to be awakened Soulmates (Somehow ignoring that the two of them becoming a couple doesn't mean that they could still awaken to the Soulbound in question and the fact that barely a week earlier, she wasn't that happy about the fact that Mami was a Soulmate and now loves her as much as Madoka).

     Day 10
  • Kyoko ends up having to wake up to deal with Mayumi Uozumi, an egomaniac of a Magical Girl who sees herself as a queen.
    • Mayumi thinks that Kyoko defeated Mami to take over control of the city. When Kyoko tells Mayumi that Mami just let her use her apartment as a place to stay, Mayumi just says that there can't be two queens. Kyoko thinks to herself that a queen marrying another woman makes there be another queen.
    • When Mayumi calls Mami fat, Kyoko is just confused and wonders if Mayumi's wish was to lose weight. Mayumi's reaction seems to confirm that Kyoko was correct.
Mayumi: Starve! [Uses her magic to give a feeling of hunger to Kyoko]
Kyoko: [Seeing red at being hungry]
  • Kyoko is giving the report on what happened with Mayumi to Mami while looking for something to eat when she comes across a container of feta cheese, which she proceeds to empty. Mami is in disbelief that not only did Kyoko eat the whole container, but she ate it raw.
  • Homura's introduction as a New Transfer Student has several:
    • Madoka is slowly getting wound up by the fact all of her classmates are surrounding Homura to ask her questions and not letting her reveal that Homura is her Soulmate to them. As soon as Madoka tries to calm herself by saying that they are just excited to meet a new student, a classmate attempts to hit on Homura, which causes Madoka to end up snapping a pencil in rage.
      Sayaka: [Shock] Uh-Madoka!?
    • Madoka then promptly abuses her authority as nurse's aid to pull Homura out of class for some T.L.C., completely stunning the class with her boldness.
    • Once Sayaka reveals to the class about Homura being one of Madoka's Soulmates, Ms. Saotome proceeds to shock the class again by revealing that she turned down an offer to marry both of Madoka's parents. Hitomi and Sayaka promptly swear the class to secrecy.
    • And the whole time this is happening, Homura is so confused about what's going on that she asks Mami what T.L.C. is. Luckily for Mami, a kiss from Madoka to Homura allows Homura to figure out what is going on before Mami has to explain.
      Homura: Mami, what’s T.L.C.?
Mami: Huh? Um, why do you wish to know?
Homura: Madoka said I required some and pulled me out of the classroom…
Mami: W-What!? Er, uh, oh dear…
      Madoka: [Kisses Homura]
Homura: Madoka…if you feel like you can’t even look or talk to me, you can talk telepathically, right?
  • Kyoko and Yuma are at a restaurant for lunch when Yuma notices that the salad that comes with her meal includes carrots, which she doesn't like but knows that refusing to eat them will anger Kyoko. Kyoko just points out that she could ask to not have any carrots in her salad.
  • While at the restaurant, Kyoko and Yuma meet Inuhiko Kajimoto, the officer who is looking into the case with Yuma's mother, who is seeing how Kyoko is taking care of Yuma. When he says that he is trying to make sure that the case against her is iron proof, Kyoko wonders why they would want the case that iron-clad for she doubts that her lawyer is Phoenix Wright.
Kajimoto: As it stands now, the case to have Yuma’s guardianship be in the hands of her grandparents is iron-clad, and the case to put away Mako Chitose and her husband for a long time is nearly ironclad. However the prosecutor likes to have as iron-clad a case as possible.
Kyoko: Why? I somehow doubt Phoenix Wright is getting involved with that bi….bitter and nasty woman.
Kajimoto: It would be very unlikely, but unlike in those games a prosecutor can’t survive a lost case.
    • Kajimoto tells Kyoko that she will have to show up to the trial to give testimony and tells her to not yell "Objection!" and point at others during it, for even though the judge would find it funny, the prosecutor will not.
  • While doing some shopping, Sayaka asks Homura what her "interests" are. Homura mentally admits to herself that she has no idea and would actually have a better idea of Kirika's interests after having to see what Yuri Manga Kirika picked up while waiting for a place where Kirika would be alone before Homura could shoot her during a previous time loop.
  • Sayaka asks Homura why Mami is going grocery shopping. Homura tells her about Kyoko's meeting with Mayumi earlier this morning. When Homura mentions that Mayumi called Mami fat:
Sayaka: [Looks Over to Mami] I don't see it.
    Homura: Correct.
Sayaka: Isn’t Mami just one of those people whose weight all goes to her boobs?
    Homura: [Stares at Sayaka]
    Sayaka: Er, never mind.
  • While waiting for Madoka and Mami to finish shopping, Sayaka asks Homura about her cooking abilities besides baking a cake.
Homura: I’ve boiled water, used a rice cooker, and stabbed potatoes with a fork.
Sayaka: Stabbed potatoes, with a fork?
    Homura: So they don’t explode.
    Sayaka: [Thinking] …Potatoes exploded?
  • Nagisa's attempt to make soda for a post-victory celebration ends up almost soaking the group in soda; Homura has to stop time and pull out several umbrellas to keep them dry.
  • The fact that Homulilly, Homura's own yet to be born Witch, has accepted that the remaining two Soulmates for Homura are Kyoko and Sayaka before Homura has.

     Day 11
  • Homura ends up accidentally sharing a dream about an early encounter with Charlotte, which ended up with her losing an arm to the Witch, with both Madoka and Mami. Her attempts to calm both down when they awaken ends poorly.
    Homura: My arm is fine.
    Madoka: You…your arm…. It….your arm…..your…blood…..
    Homura: I got it back.
    • And during the dream there is something darkly humorous about the fact that Mami's (who has died so often to Charlotte that Homura considers Charlotte the first X-Killer Witch she ever made) first reaction to seeing the Witch is think about how cute the Witch is and thinking about making a doll version of it to give to Yuma and Nagisa (who is the Magical Girl that Charlotte was born from).
  • While talking to Mami some details for a potential trip to Italy, Junko recalls that she can't remember anything that happened the previous night. Tomihisa's reply has Madoka desperately wanting something to remove the images from her mind.
Junko: Did I miss anything while drunk?
Tomihisa: No, you just thought I was Kazuko and started licking me behind the ear and calling me squishy. You then tried to push me onto the table but instead put your head in the fridge.
  • Sayaka is cursing the fact that they have to go to school on a Saturday and is slowly getting annoyed as everyone else starts listing different countries that have Saturday off from school. By the time Hitomi mentions that their city happens to be one of the few cities in Japan that actually have classes on Saturday anymore, Sayaka asks if it is possible to move there.
  • Sayaka mentions that maybe they would have less gas leaks if they only had to go to school five days a week. Mami, the cause of most of those gas leaks, agrees while silently reminding herself to never let Sayaka find out about it.
  • While brainstorming ideas for what Madoka and Homura could do on their date, Madoka remembers that Mami took Homura to a dance club. This causes the image of Homura in a suit to enter her mind.
    Sayaka: Madoka, stop drooling.
Madoka: [Checks to see if she was drooling]
  • Homura and Mami's meeting with Haruka, a Magical Girl from the countryside, has several:
    • Haruka decides that the best way to get Homura and Mami's attention is to use her magic to cause strong gusts of wind to form. This causes Homura's long hair to keep blowing around into her face, which annoys her so much that it is only Mami thinking that it is just a blunt attempt to get attention (and quickly tying a ribbon in Homura's hair to hold it in place) that ensures Homura doesn't start shooting at Haruka.
    • Homura sees Haruka's Magical Girl outfit, a red sports top and pants combination that Homura immediately notes to herself as being the most undressed Magical Girl outfit she has ever seen.
    • When Haruka introduces herself as a Diviner, Mami is confused until Homura tells her that it is a term used by Magical Girls in some rural areas. This makes Homura remember her few experiences she has had with them in previous time loops, mostly wanting to destroy the shrines that they have made in honor to Kyubey.
    • Homura and Mami end up avoiding a potential fight between Haruka, thanks to her noticing that Homura and Mami are Soulbounded, believing that it means that they are blessed by other gods. Homura thinks to herself that if another god actually blessed Oriko and Kirika, that she would like to have a word (and some bullets) with the gods in question.
  • Madoka ended up getting hit in the face with a volleyball during gym class. Homura gets revenge on the girl for refusing to apologize by making her chase after the ball until she collapses. After the class Madoka asks if the punishment the girl received was excessive.
    Sayaka, Homura, & Mami: No.
  • When Homura mentions that there are plenty of Yakuza dens that she could easily get cash from in the city, Madoka says that maybe she should go with Homura so that she wouldn't be lonely. Madoka very quickly clarifies that it would only happen when time is frozen when she sees the looks that both Mami and Homura are giving her.
  • As Madoka, Mami, and Homura are wondering what to do with the time they have before Mami's call with her grandmother, they happen to find a Witch. The Witch in question takes the shape of a headless schoolgirl with multiple arms in place of legs hanging high above them. Madoka ends up getting a good look at something that she would have preferred to have not seen and is thankful that Sayaka is not with them.
  • Mami's video call with her family in Italy has several:
    • As Mami is telling Madoka not to worry about how she looks, Mami thinks to herself that her Nonna (Grandmather) would likely find Kyoko's antics (which includes her unfiltered speech and the fact that she told Mami that she would use Nagisa's magic to have a belching contest with her) hilarious.
    • Mami's cousin Alessia decides to tease her about her hairstyle when she first sees it, saying they look like onion rings.
Alessia: Mami, why can’t you just wear your hair naturally? It would look better that way.
Mami: I rather like doing my hair up nicely. People love them.
      Alessia: Cats aren't people, Mami.
Madoka: [Laughs at the image of a cat playing with Mami's hair]
    • Nonna says that she likes Mami's hairstyle.
      Allessia: Nonna you like everything.
    • Allessia realizes that the group is likely confused about who Carlotta is, so Allessia shows her Soulmark between the two of them to Mami, Madoka, and Homura. As Mami is recovering from her shock, Madoka is trying to get the details about how they met.
Madoka: [Very Quickly] That’s wonderful! How’d it happen?! How did you two meet?! How have your families handled it?! Did you need to transfer schools and if so who transferred?!
      Carlotta: [Overwhelmed by Madoka's questions]
Allessia: Can’t reveal everything now, can I?

     Day 12
  • Madoka is in such a state of worry about her date with Homura that she doesn't realize that she is having tea with Candeloro until she looks at the color of the teacup.
  • Madoka notices that Candeloro is looking at a party that her Familiars are having. When Madoka asks why she doesn't just cross the creak that is keeping her from going to the party, Candeloro shows her that it isn't that simple.
“Oh, it isn’t.” Candeloro agreed. “So long as you aren’t me.” To prove her point, she took a step forward, as if about to cross. Madoka’s vision spun , and suddenly the party was impossibly far away, the creek now a massive, raging river, waves lashing in gale-force winds that caused her to yelp and scramble away."
Then Candeloro stepped back, and everything was back to the way it was before. Madoka didn’t quite have the nerve to put her toes or arm over the creek again just yet.
  • Madoka and Homura end up going to the city's train museum. When they enter the model train room and are directed to try to build a model train for themselves, the museum guide mentions that most people don't have room to include a model train set, and that somehow causes him to start talking about the idea of a train cafe.
  • Homura is very happy about the fact that the model train track she made at the museum is going to be displayed. When Madoka asks why, Homura mentions that she did not really have anything that she could call her own at the orphanage besides a set of dolls.
    Madoka: Did you like them?
Homura: [In a very firm tone] No.
  • Hitomi is face to face with her first Witch. As she is staring at it in horror, and trying to not flee from the sight of it, Akasuki is excited that the Witch actually has a neck for once.
Akasuki: Hey, this one actually has a neck! About time I got one of those!
Hitomi: [Stares at Akasuki in confusion]
  • Hitomi is in amazement about how she was able to use her ability to teleport to create the effect of a vacuum bomb to damage the Witch, before being reminded that she is still in a battle with said Witch when it starts attacking her.

     Day 13
  • Mami is thinking about creating some clothes for Homura and Madoka. When she mentions to Madoka about making copies of her and Homura's Magical Girl outfits for Madoka, Madoka asks if she could include Yuma's cat ears and tail on Homura's outfit.
Mami: Oh that does sound like fun!
    Homura: It... does?
  • Sensing Homura's worry about becoming a dress up doll, Mami says that she could also come up with ideas for her and Madoka to wear. When Homura says that she isn't that creative, Mami tells her that she could just modify an existing design. Cue Homura thinking about Mami wearing a much lower cut version of her Magical Girl outfit and her complete embarrassment when she realizes that both Mami and Madoka saw that through their link.
  • Sayaka mentions that she recalled the previous night that Madoka and herself were saved by a Magical Girl when they stumbled into a Labyrinth a year ago. Mami, thinking that the girl in question was Kyoko, calls her to find out if that was the case. Kyoko, in a half awake state thinks Mami's call is about an incident that happened in another city.
Kyoko: [Still Half-Asleep] ....waaa ? Wha’d I do? This isn’t about Asunaro…the bear had it coming and the horns were funny to poke at…
    • Homura's reaction makes it clear that she doesn't want to ask what happened, but will force Kyoko to apologize if this ends up causing problems later on.
    • Nagisa then decides to help wake Kyoko up faster by using her magic to summon soda so she can give Kyoko caffeine.
  • Worried about the fact that Hitomi still hasn't arrived at school by lunch, the group asks Kyoko to check her place to see what is going on. When Kyoko reports to them that the place is surrounded by the police, Sayaka's shock causes her to forget that Kyoko isn't actually with them at the moment, and to spill some rice she was eating.
Kyoko: I dunno, but there are cops everywhere at the place. At least a half dozen cars. They had dogs out and everything.
    Sayaka: [Out Loud] Dogs!?
Kyoko: Why do I suddenly want to hurt Blueberry…anyway did she just shout something like I was there to actually hear it?
  • Madoka has trapped Homura in a hug in an attempt to get Homura to come to bed with her and sleep instead of pulling an all-nighter trying to find Hitomi. Homura mentions that she would need to change out of her regular clothes in order to do that. Later, Mami arrives to see that Madoka has stripped Homura of everything but her underwear and is treating Homura like a giant teddy bear.
Mami: ...Sweetie, you didn’t tear anything while you stripped Homura, right?
    Madoka: [Shakes her head no]

     Day 14
  • Madoka's meeting with Homulilly starts with the Witch thrashing about in the threads made by her familiars in frustration about Homura's behavior the previous day. Once Madoka frees Homulilly she vents by creating a sand statue of Homura before smashing it, to Madoka's shock.
  • Madoka and Mami are finishing their conversation about what needs to be done with Akasuki when they notice that Homura is starting to wake up. Mami gives Madoka orders to make sure that Homura doesn't just run off to find Akasuki until after Madoka's parents get the message that the school is closed for the day because of a gas leak.
‘Now…you’re going to help me make sure Homura doesn’t immediately run out. We do need to make sure she actually has breakfast, and we should be sure your parents know that school is out for today first, and you may need to hold her in place to make sure she actually showers.’
Madoka…wasn’t sure if that last part was a joke.
  • As the group has gotten their plans for how to look for Akasuki, with Kyoko and Yuma staying near the courthouse because of Yuma's court session happening that day. As Yuma tries to apologize for the inconvenience, Kyoko tries to calm her down by pointing out that getting away from her mother is important.
Kyoko: You don’t need to apologize for having a family and getting justice. Anyway, let’s kick as…assentially the worst person ever’s butt.
    Nagisa: That sounded weird.
  • Akasuki is heavily injured thanks to Sayaka and facing an absolutely furious Mami. What is the first thing she says to the Magical Girl after all that she did, including trying to kill Madoka (and by extension, Homura and Mami)?
Akasuki: Uh…Hey there. I…don’t suppose you’ll believe this is all just a horrible misunderstanding?
Mami: [Starts Shooting at Her Location]
  • Akasuki is trying to break Mami by telling her the truth about where Witches come from and how Kyubey sees her as a goat (more specifically a Judas goat, a goat used to bring livestock to the slaughterhouse). Mami, honestly confused by the comparison, thinks that Akasuki is saying that Kyubey thinks she is the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) Magical Girl.
Mami: Flattery isn't going to save you.
  • Mami slowly realizes that whatever Akasuki is saying is a very real threat that she should not be hearing. So she decides to blow out her eardrums in order to stop hearing it. Mami is more annoyed that she is following another one of Oriko's prophecies than anything else, while it takes Akasuki several moments for her to realize that Mami can't hear her anymore.
  • The scene after the fight with Akasuki has several:
    • The first thought that goes through Madoka's head when she sees Sayaka's Magical Girl outfit is if Sayaka's breasts were always that big.
    • When she realizes that Sayaka has been Soulbounded, she tells Sayaka to look at her palm only for Sayaka to look at the wrong one at first.
    • Mami is so relieved that Madoka is alright after being attacked by Akasuki (and being so injured that Sayaka had to become a Magical Girl in order for her to be healed) that she wraps Madoka in a tight hug that causes the poor girl to buried between Mami's breasts.
Mami: Oh Sweetie thank goodness you’re alrightI’msosorryIwasn’tthereI’mneverlettingyououtofmysightagain!
      Madoka: [Trying to breathe] Mmmpf!
    • Then once Mami notices that Sayaka is now a member of their Soulbound, she proceeds to give the same hug to Sayaka. Sayaka is clearly happy about this while Madoka is worried about Sayaka's lack of air.

     Day 14 Part 2
  • While Mami goes to meet with Kyoko about her awakening to the Soulbind, Homura mentions that the rest of them should get away from the site before the police arrive. As Homura, Sayaka and Hitomi are running across the rooftops (with Madoka in Homura's arms), Hitomi sees how Sayaka is running.
    Hitomi: [Sighing] Sayaka.
Sayaka: Yes, it is I, Sayaka Miki! Chunin of the Village Hidden in the Magic!
    Homura: You're a Genin.
Sayaka: [Nearly Runs Into a Wall in Surprise]
  • Homura is sharing the information that Hitomi got from Akasuki, including the fact that Walpurgisnacht is coming. Mami and Madoka are horrified, Sayaka is confused by the name, and Kyoko thinks Homura is talking about the religious festival at first.
Kyoko: Well duh, it’s almost that time of year and- [Realizes what Homura actually meant] You mean it’s comin’ here!?
    • Kyoko then asks how Madoka knows about Walpurgisnacht, to which Mami replies that the two of them saw the aftermath of one of Homura's fights with Walpurgisnacht in a dream.
Kyoko: ...them. Plural. Those things are like, mythically rare walking apocalypses. How the fucking hell has she run into more than one of those things?!
      Homura: I am very unfortunate.
  • Sayaka and Kyoko are fretting over their introductions as Soulbounds to Madoka's parents. Homura tries to calm them down by mentioning that the first impression of her was escaping from a hospital. Kyoko thinks that Homura is joking only to be told by Sayaka that is actually what happened.
  • Kyoko and Junko's (Madoka's mother) first meeting has the two of them saying so many swears at one another that Sayaka and Homura have to cover Madoka's ears. After it is all said and done, the two of them are quickly good friends with one another.
  • Madoka's parents have some fun embarrassing their daughter, first by saying that she got her heart stealing studliness from her father and then wondering if she has an actual orphan fetish due to three of of her Soulmates being orphans.
Madoka: [Completely Embarrassed] I-It’s just a coincidence! L-Look! Sayaka’s mine too!
Junko: There's an exception to every rule.
    • Junko then turns over to Sayaka, mentioning that Sayaka said that she would be Madoka's only wife when she was younger.
Sayaka: I’m not sure elementary schoolers should be professing a desire to be polygamous.
  • As dinner is about to start, there is a realization that the group has about the fact that Soulbound has gone from three to five; there are three people who wish to sit next to Madoka (Homura, Mami, and Sayaka) but only two places.
[Homura, Mami, and Sayaka are staring at the two chairs on either side of Madoka while she awkwardly wiggles]
    Tatsuya: Huh?
    Kyoko: You said it kid.
  • Kyoko is not happy about the fact that she will be having to go back to school. Sayaka tells her that it won't be that bad if she ignores the tests and grades.
Kyoko: So it ain’t bad, ‘cept for the biggest parts of it?
    Sayaka: Yeah kind of.
Junko: Might want to improve your marketing techniques.
  • Mami wants to take Kyoko shopping for more clothes. Kyoko, knowing how Mami can get and trying to buy herself some more time before it happens, says that they have school the next day. Her hopes are dashed when Homura tells her that Mami damaged the piping too much for them to fix it in a single day.
  • Sayaka tells Kyoko to be ready to wear a suit during the shopping trip to please Madoka. When Kyoko asks why Mami seems to be immune to having to wear one, Mami just points to her breasts.
Kyoko [Thinking] Ah, that made sense. Mami wearing a suit with those things would be a crime, and possibly a health hazard.

     Kamihama Interlude 2
  • Meiyui is having a conversation with Matsuri about what plans she had made when she arrived in Kamihama and is impressed with how well she thought it out. When Meiyui asks Matsuri if she happens to know anyone in the city only for Matsuri's reply to completely surprise her.
Meiyui: Do you know anyone, Magical Girl or otherwise, in this city?
    Matsuri: Oh tons!
    Meiyui: [Blinks]
  • During the middle of a battle between several of Kamihama's Magical Girls and the Neo-Monzenbashi, a Magical Girl gang trying to take over the city by force, Iroha's opponent, a Magical Girl who looks like a stereotypical housewife, stops her fight with Iroha when she happens to see there of the Kamihama Magical Girls show up with a bunch of kids that look similar to her. After a single nod to Iroha, the Magical Girl in question gives an expression of pure furry before taking out and throwing a rolling pin at one of the gang members and knocking them out cold. This happens to turn the tide of the battle.
  • While Yachiyo and company are talking to a group of Magical Girls who were being pressured into working for the Neo-Monzenbashi; Motoko, one of the Magical Girls in question, pulls out a magical swear jar that adds a 500 yen coin when a swear is said as a way to show her abilities. When 500 yen is suddenly added to it, everyone is wondering who swore (with Kanae actually checking her pockets before realizing that she hasn't even said anything) and where the money came from until Motoko tells them that it has a wide range and that she has no idea where the money actually comes from.
  • After the bulk of the group leaves, Kanagi is grateful for Iroha's gamble paying off, but is unhappy that she had to grab one of the Magical Girls under Kanagi's group in order to do so. Hinano breaks up the argument before it can start by pointing out that they are still trying to figure out an order of command for their alliance and having to deal with large scale battles with Magical Girls.
Hinano: ...We’re still figuring out an order for battle, and it seems like few of us remember what it's like to fight Magical Girls on a large scale. [Heavy Sarcasm] Like the good old days.
Kanae: I consider that a good thing. Some of us remember the old days.
  • Nanaka and Meiyui arrive with Matsuri apologizing for being late for the fight. After Kanagi tells the two of them it is fine she asks about Matsuri only for Matsuri to not only confirm to Meiyui and Nanaka that she knows a good number of people in Kamihama, but makes Yachiyo start wondering what the heck actually happens in Kamihama when she isn't paying attention.
    Nanaka: Sorry we're late.
Kanagi: You didn’t dawdle and moved as soon as you heard, and Akira was present, so you were at least represented.[Turning to Matsuri] And you are…
Hinano: It’s you. …you’re the girl who gave us that fan…
Matsuri: And you’re the one who gave me that dish detergent! I didn’t realize you were a Magical Girl too!
  • During the discussion about what to do with the Neo-Monzenbashi members that they have captured, Yachiyo has an idea on how to get them out of Kamihama quickly.
Yachiyo: [To Kanagi] How do you want to do this: carry them out of the city or throw them out? I should be able to rocket them out with my halberds if need be if that would be simpler.
Meiyui: [In disbelief] You’re going to turn your halberds into rockets?
Yachiyo: Of course. They aren’t welcome in Kamihama, and if they aren’t going to move on their own power, we’ll move them.
    • Yachiyo then admits to herself that she does something similar when she happens to miss the garbage truck on trash pick-up day.
  • As the group is trying to figure out what the heck just happened to the Neo-Monzenbashi member summoning her Doppel (with them having no idea what that even is), Kanagi asks a question to try to help them get a lead.
Kanagi: ...I wouldn’t bring this up if there was a surer connection but…have any of you heard the name ‘The Wings of the Magius?’ [Sees that no one answered yes] Perhaps…run into any Magical Girls in cloaks talking like a cult?
    Momoko: [Disbelief] A what?
Yachiyo: [Sighing] Mercifully you’ve never dealt with them, but sometimes Magical Girls get dumb things in their heads. Back before your and Mel’s and Tsuruno’s time there was a group of them that believed in the supremacy of Magical Girls over regular humans and wanted to take over the world. They were a pain, and mercifully they’re all dead.
Hinano: And by dead she means ‘they tried starting shit in Chuo and discovered that so-called superior life forms do in fact melt’.
  • Kanagi says that she didn't bring up the Wings of the Magius before because she was unsure if it was just another Snake Oil Salesman cult to try to trick Tsukasa into drinking wagtail blood with her sister. Matsuri is left confused on why anyone would want to drink the blood of songbirds.explaination
  • Tsuruno cames up with a plan to defeat a Uwasa that is giving multiple Magical Girls problems trying to defeat. Said plan involves her swearing up a storm in order to power up a fireball to throw at it. It doesn't do anything to the Uwasa.
    Tsuruno: Did it work?
    Uwasa: [Still Alive]
    Tsuruno: Okay that didn't work.
    • The other Magical Girls try to brainstorm other ideas including throwing a Witch at it (which thrown out when pointed out that they haven't even noticed a Witch around during the fight and that they have to beat it afterwords), or giving it Mitama’s cooking (which is only rejected because they would have to leave the battlefield to get it).
  • In a desperate attempt to actually defeat the Uwasa, Rika agrees to a Fusion Dance with her Witch Bella Dona. Every other Magical Girl, besides Rika and her Soulmate Ren, is confused about what is going on as Rika/Bella Dona goes to town on the Uwasa.
Tsuruno: Um….what just happened? Why did Ren’s Soulmate turn into a Gundam?
    Iroha: A what?
  • Rika and Bella Dona get into an argument about Emiri, which clearly confuses Hinano as she is seeing it.
  • Iroha is thinking about the events that have happened over the last couple of days, which included taking in Felicia, an orphaned Magical Girl. Kanae decided to have a bit of fun about that development at Yachiyo's expense.
Kanae: You know Yachiyo, you always said you wanted to adopt.
    Yachiyo: [Completely Mortified]

     Day 15
  • As Homura is trying to calm down from seeing Candeloro in front of her, Candeloro admits that they weren't expecting to see Homura. Homura, wondering who Candeloro was expecting, happens to notice a Pink-filled Soulmark on Candeloro's hand. This gives her a good idea on who Candeloro was expecting.
Homura: [In a tone that clearly doesn't want to be right in their guess] Madoka?
    Candeloro: Madoka.
Homura: [Trying not to Head Desk]
  • As Homura is mentioning her lack of success in actually achieving her goal, Candeloro points out that despite all of the failures she hasn't given up and this loop is actually making great progress. Homura admits to herself that of all of the strange things that she has dealt with in this timeline, that getting a pep talk from a Witch is the strangest thing by far.
  • Homura wakes up from her dream/meeting with Candeloro and notices that both Sayaka and Kyoko are no longer in bed before going back to sleep. Cut to Sayaka walking into the bathroom and seeing a naked and bathing Kyoko in front of her, the following sequence ends up proving that Homura had a point in her thought that they where probably flirting with one another when she saw that they where not in bed.
    • Sayaka notices that Kyoko is using Madoka's soap and tells her to stop using it. Kyoko tells Sayaka that Madoka would hardly be bothered that Kyoko is using her soap.
"Shenote  wasn’t, and that was the problem. Madoka needed to stand up for more than just putting her wives in suits. Until then that was what shenote  was for."
Sayaka: You’re supposed to leave it for her!
Kyoko: Well, we are her, theologically speaking, so I am!
    • Sayaka then asks if Kyoko is planning on using Madoka's toothbrush also, only for Kyoko to immediately tell Sayaka no.
      Kyoko: No, that’s nasty.
Sayaka: And using her soap isn’t!?
      Kyoko: Uh, yeah, it’s soap.
    • Then when Kyoko tells Sayaka to stop staring at her.
Sayaka: Yeah, well theologically speaking, I’m just staring at myself aren’t I?
    • This is then followed up with Sayaka trying to come up with an insulting nickname for Kyoko only to come up with Apricot (which she remembers isn't even red until after saying it) and Raspberry.
Kyoko: ...Man, you suck at this.
    • Then Sayaka comes up with Cherry Girl as a nickname. Kyoko tells her to not use it, which Sayaka fires back that she will stop if Kyoko stops calling her Blueberry.
    • Some time later, Sayaka comes out of the bathroom having finished taking her shower, only to come face to face with Kyoko. Sayaka immediately asks if Kyoko had spent the whole time Sayaka was in the shower standing there. Kyoko is quick to tell her no and that she is only here because she didn't want to go back to sleep after seeing Homura has Mami in a hug and that she still has no idea where the towels are.
"Well that explained why she got the entire floor wet…"
  • The shopping trip for clothing starts with Mami locking Kyoko by the arm while Kyoko begs Mami to let go of her so she can run away from a shopping trip with Mami.
  • Mami asks Madoka and Sayaka what clothing they did not get for Homura when they took her shopping previously. As Sayaka is listing what they got, she remembers something that they forgot. Cue the group shopping for underwear for Kyoko and Homura.
Sayaka: Oh yeah, that’s something we didn’t shop for last time. And Homura’s aren’t anything to write home about.
Homura: What are you talking… [Blushes when she sees what Sayaka means]
    Mami: [Likes that idea]
Homura: [Quietly] Sayaka, you perverted cretin…
Kyoko: ...Blueberry, what have you done?
  • Mami is going so crazy with buying items that Kyoko asks Homura if she is running out of space in her shield. Homura's reply is that she isn't going to run out of room anytime soon.
  • At the start of training, Sayaka is getting ready to show how high she is able to jump while taunting Kyoko that she will break Kyoko's record for the highest first jump. Kyoko decides to get some payback for Sayaka's taunts by smacking her on the rear just before she jumps.
  • Mami, not happy with what Kyoko did, tells Kyoko that the training Mami has for her today is to practice summoning multiple copies of their weapon by summoning multiple copies of her muskets and telling Kyoko to block them with her spears. When Kyoko tries to justify her actions with Sayaka when given a break, Mami says that maybe they should continue the practice.
Mami: Kyoko needs a little rest. She did a very good job though. She made it to eighty before she had to stop.
Kyoko: [Moaning] Why…? Having fun at the first jump is practically tradition…
Mami: Although perhaps we could try for eighty-five after all…
    Kyoko: [Quickly Pleading] I’msorryI’llbegood.
  • Sayaka is trying to create a Sword Beam attack but ends up just firing her blade into a wall. As she is wondering what she did wrong, Homura tells her to try to gather energy first before firing it and tells her to take Madoka with her so she doesn't overuse her magic figuring out how to do it correctly.
Sayaka: Okay, got it. Madoka, let's find some stuff to blow up to figure it out. You're up for some ‘wifely duties’ to make sure I don’t run out of juice?
Madoka: [Blushing up a storm] Sayaka!
Koyoko: Pinkie, you got Blueberry in a suit, it goes both ways.
  • Homura pulls out some store mannequins so she can practice the ribbon ability that she got during her fight with Hitomi. Mami wants to know where Homura even got them, while Kyoko is wondering how Homura was even able to put them in her shield.
  • While practicing Mami's Connect ability, Mami and Homura minds become one. When Kyoko is able to separate Mami and Homura, she is quick to say that she has no idea what the heck happened when Sayaka asks what Kyoko just stopped from happening.
Sayaka: Um….what just happened? ...Geeze, it almost looks like Kyoko stopped something interesting
Kyoko: ...Oh I wish it was the two about to start stripping each other, then I’d know what just happened.
    • The only thing that stops Homura from calling Sayaka a pervert for thinking that is noticing Madoka is having similar thoughts to Sayaka.
  • The group is taking a break and having a drink when Kyoko whines about why she's the only one that doesn't have an animal cup to drink out of.
Kyoko: Why don't I get an animal cup?
Homura: Because the only hint we had of you being around at the time was the news report about you attacking Yuma’s mother, in which you were unnamed.
  • When Hitomi telepathically messages the group, Homura somehow ends up giving the equivalent of a nod while greeting Hitomi to Sayaka's confusion.
  • While Kyoko is introducing herself to Hitomi and starting to tell Hitomi that she is the reason Akasuki was at the hospital, when she suddenly wonders why Mami isn't telling her off for swearing.
Kyoko: Er, yeah…if that bitch…wait, isn't this when Mami corrects my language?
Mami: Insult that creature however you want when Yuma and Nagisa can’t hear you.
  • While dinner is being made at Mami's apartment, Kyoko ends up playing Mario Kart with Yuma. During the race Yuma gets a Blue Shell, and it takes all of Kyoko's willpower to not yell at Yuma when it ends up hitting her.
  • What is Kyoko's reaction to seeing all of the food that Mami made for dinner?
Kyoko: Mami, never let anyone say people only love you for your boobs!
  • During dinner, Kyoko tries to tell a story about the time Mami tried to use her magic to make clones of herself. Mami makes it very clear that she doesn't want to be reminded of the incident by continually giving Kyoko food until Kyoko finally takes the hint to stop telling the story.

     Day 16
  • As Mami is meeting with Homulilly for the first time, Homulilly asks if Mami has seen the dolls that serve as her familiars. Homulilly's reaction to Mami saying that she saw one of them dead is one of surprise and happiness.
    Homulilly: [Suddenly Shouting] It’s dead!?
Mami: I’m…afraid so, yes. It wasn’t me though!
Homulilly: They can die… They can die! Yes, yes, yes! One died! Are more of them dead? Please tell me it’s not just one of them!
Mami: I only saw the one.
  • When Mami asks Homulilly what she is to Homura, Homulilly tells Mami that she is what Homura is afraid of. When Mami wonders what Homura could even be worried about, Homulilly just stares at Mami.
Homulilly: I think you already have an idea from what the Griefer said. You’re not an idiot, Mami.
  • Homulilly starts to panic when Mami tells her that she has figured out what Homulilly is, only to slightly relax when Mami says that Homulilly is what Homura keeps hidden from others.
Mami: ...Homura’s seen what I’m like, and must have too. A lonely, sad girl, who just wants to have people to love her and be with her. Homura’s the same way. Maybe I even have my own…Mamililly…
    Homulilly: That's not her name.
  • The scene with the quintet in the bathroom getting ready for the day has several:
    • As Sayaka is watching how happy Homura is about Madoka brushing her hair, she asks Mami if Homura is going to start purring like a cat.
Mami: Oh, give us time Sayaka, give us time.
    • Sayaka asks Homura how she was able to get her hair looking so nice before she has Madoka and Mami's help. Homura's answer is simply "hard work".
    • Sayaka asks Kyoko how long she spends working on her hair. When Kyoko tells her that she doesn't everyone stares at her in disbelief.
Madoka: ...Don’t be modest. Even tough girls want to look pretty.
Kyoko: I’m not kidding. I don’t do anything. My hair’s just the way it is.
    • Kyoko then makes the mistake of admitting that she doesn't even shampoo her hair to the group which causes Mami to ask how much time they have before breakfast. As Kyoko realizes what is about to happen, she tries to make a break for the bathroom door only to be stopped by running into something squishy.
Mami: Kyoko, don’t run. We need to show you how to care for such splendid hair. Now let's begin.
  • Sayaka is left to babysit Tatsuya while Madoka's father is doing some errands. When Kyoko asks Tatsuya if he knows her name, he starts calling her "horsie". Kyoko's only thought on that is that at least it is a better nickname than Apricot. Kyoko then realizes that Tatsuya wants to actually play horsie with her.
    • When Kyoko asks Tomihisa why he is willing to leave her alone with his son when he has only known her for fourty-eight hours, his reply makes it clear to Kyoko that Madoka got more than just "studliness" from him.
Tomihisa: Someone the universe believes is good enough for one of my children is good enough for both of them.
  • Madoka, Homura, and Sayaka notice how much the class is gossiping about Hitomi's disappearance. As the three of them are trying to figure out a way to get them to get the focus away from Hitomi, Kyoko chimes in and tells Sayaka to kiss Homura after Sayaka shoots down the idea of having herself kiss Madoka.
    • When the class notices that Sayaka is now a Soulmate to Madoka, a classmate yells at Madoka to stop stealing all of the hot girls. Ms. Saotome nearly blames Nakazawa for saying that before correcting herself.
Ms. Saotome: Naka…not Nakazawa! Don’t argue with the universe! It doesn’t work…
    • Nakazawa's reaction to all of this is to admit that he's surprised that Sayaka hadn't been Madoka's first Soulmate.
    • Sayaka's reaction to this is to blush in surprise about being called hot.
Sayaka: [While Blushing] Huh, guess I'm one of the hot ones. Neat.
  • When Kyoko sees just how damaged the church is after her "meeting" with Kyubey, she realizes that she will need a lot of cement to fix the damage. When Mami senses Kyoko's concern, Kyoko asks Mami if Homura happens to have a cement mixer that she could borrow.
Homura: No, my last one broke and I’ve not had time to get a replacement.
    Kyoko: ...Seriously? You had one?
  • Homura wants to follow Hitomi to make sure she's all right, much to Mami and Sayaka's displeasure. When Madoka says that Homura should go, Mami and Sayaka are in such a state of shock that Kyoko asks who broke Mami.
Homura: It would be the most efficient way to guarantee Hitomi’s safety.
Mami: Yes, but…Darling, you can’t just stalk our friend like that.
Madoka: ...Why not? I-I mean, it’s not trying to do anything bad. If you’re just doing it to make sure someone you care about is safe, isn’t that alright?
    Sayaka: Uh...
    Mami: [Stunned Silence]
    Kyoko: Who broke Mami?
    • When Kyoko chimes in agreement with Homura and Madoka, Sayaka is not happy about it. Kyoko says that she and Mami have been outvoted.
    • When hearing Sayaka and Mami voice their dislike towards her idea with Hitomi, Homura is peeved at the seemingly double standards that it is not right for her to stalk anyone, but no one was complaining when Madoka was doing it to her during the very first timeline.note
  • After Homura leaves, Mami and Sayaka try to point out the issues with Homura stalking Hitomi, but it is clear that Madoka isn't listening to their confusion and annoyance.
Sayaka: Look, Madoka, how would you feel if, say, some stranger kept looking into your bedroom from the window outside?
Madoka: That…would be scary. But Homura’s not a stranger. She’s a friend doing good for another friend and making sure that they are safe and happy. It’s…showing you care. A lot.
Sayaka: [Turning to Mami] Help me. Please.
Mami: I…would if I knew how.
  • Sayaka is worried that the fact that she still thinks Kyosuke’s cute might cause the other members of the Soulbound to think the same thing. Homura's reaction to being told this is utter confusion while Kyoko tells Sayaka point blank that she has no interest in boys.
  • Kyosuke says that he heard that something happened with Hitomi recently. Sayaka is telling him that she is fine, though her parents are not happy with her, and that Homura is sneaking a phone to Hitomi so that she can talk to him when Madoka's phone rings.
  • After Hitomi finishes her call with Kyosuke, she thanks Homura for letting her speak with him. Homura's thought is the hope that the look on Hitomi's face is just her being thankful and not a case of Hitomi developing a crush on Homura like in a previous time loop.
  • Homura ends up giving Hitomi some books that she has been gifted from her time loops so Hitomi has something to entertain herself. Homura has to make it clear multiple times to Hitomi that she was not the original owner of the books.
  • The first words out of Kyoko's mouth when she meets Homura at a cafe is that this is not a date and that they can wait until they have gotten to know each other better. Homura thinks to herself that getting to know each other is what dates are for.
  • Madoka, Mami, and Sayaka arrive at Mami's apartment after seeing a movie, only to see that it has turned into a white void. Sayaka ends up throwing her sword into the ground in an attempt to figure out if it even has a floor, knocking Mami out of her shock.
    Mami: My apartment!?
    • Sayaka ends up proving that the furniture is still there, just invisible when she ends up bumping into a table.
    • The three of them finally find Homura in the middle of looking at something while Nagisa and Kyoko are clearly confused about how Homura is doing this.
    • Mami is able to get Homura's attention and it is clear that Homura did not think about how Mami would take her using the apartment for this without asking first.
      Mami: Homura!
      Homura: [Jumps in Surprise]
Mami: Homura…what did you do to my apartment?
      Homura: I set something up.
Mami: And you…did this without asking first why?
Homura: [After showing that she can toggle the void on and off] You were busy at your movie, so it would have been rude to disturb you.
    • Sayaka asks if Homura got the projector from the Yakuza. Homura reply is to ask why the Yakuza would have something like this while Kyoko tells Sayaka that she's been trying to get Homura to tell her where she got it for over an hour. All Kyoko has been able to figure out is that Homura did not steal it from the government.
  • Touka is angry about the fact that an attempted coup attempt happened in the Magius. Nemu points out that the attempt barely got far because the Magical Girl in question, Sasa Yuuki, kept trying to use her power of brainwashing others to try to get Tsukuyo and Tsukasa (sisters whose wish was for the two of them to never harm one another) to attack one another.
  • Nemu tells Touka that Oriko is going to add a screening process for recruiting and wonders why they didn't even have one to begin with. Touka says that she thought it was unimportant to include it.
Nemu: Nor are guard rails until the jumping starts.
  • Nemu wants suggestions from Touka about what to possibly get for Tsukuyo and Tsukasa for their help in stopping Sasa's coup. Touka points out that the last time Nemu asked Touka for a suggestion, she rejected it. Nemu replies that it was because Touka's suggestion for an Uwasa was nothing more than a list of abilities with no real story to tie it together.
  • During a conversation between Touka, Yuuri, and Airi, Yuuri tells Touka about a Takoyaki place that she went to. As Yuuri and Airi are talking to one another about making their own Takoyaki, Touka asks Nemu if she knows how to make it.
Nemu: I believe you would need octopus and….hmm….eggs, flour, dashi powder, soy sauce…
Touka: Are you reading that off the internet by any chance?

     Day 17
  • Kyubey is thinking about Kamihama and the barrier that is blocking him out and Tohka's bringing him girls to contract when he realizes that the information for why Tohka contracted is missing. One can almost hear the gears stop in Kyubey's mind as they almost show confusion on how that could even be possible.
  • Sayaka is so surprised that they are having a study period, that she thinks that it is an April Fools Prank at first.
  • Sayaka notices that Homura is reading a book during the study period and actually considers the possibility that Homura is trying to read a book about making bombs at school.
  • The book Homura is reading is a book on different myths and legends throughout history about Soulbounds. One of the stories happens to be one involving a Soulbound between relatives. Sayaka very much would have been happy to not have read that.
  • When the study period ends, Sayaka thinks nothing serious will happen because it is April Fools Day. Cut to the class about to take a test.
  • Sayaka suddenly leaves lunch to head to her locker with Madoka following after her shortly after. Madoka happens to come across Sayaka trying to come up with date plans with Madoka. When Madoka makes her presence known, the shock causes Sayaka to end up running her arm into her locker.
Sayaka: Okay Sayaka, it’s just your wife. You can do wife things. Yeah, wife things…things you couldn’t do before. ...I just need to think of something new…no repeats.
Madoka: [Making herself known] No repeats?
Sayaka: [After being surprised by Madoka showing up] Madoka! Ah…hey…um….I said don’t wait…for…me….
  • Madoka tries to get Sayaka to talk about her ideas by asking what sort of date plans she would have done if she and Kyosuke had gotten together.
Madoka: Okay, then why don’t you just tell me what you think you’d have done if you and Kyosuke got together.
    Sayaka: Well...um....you know...listening to music...that he...I mean you....I mean us....I mean....you know...music....dancing....um.... [Starts Blushing]...Um...er....puberty?
Madoka: [Knows exactly what Sayaka meant] ...Ignoring that last one.
  • When Kyoko meets up with the others after school, she asks what they did during it. Mami tells Kyoko that she had some preparations for her High School exams.
Mami: Oh, just some preparation for High School exams.
    Kyoko: But…that’s months away.
    Mami: [Nodding] Oh I know.
  • Sayaka then tells Kyoko about what Homura read during the study period. When Kyoko asks why Homura she was reading different legends about Soulmates, Homura tells her that she had no idea about them until after was told about them by Madoka and Mami. Kyoko and Sayaka both think Homura is joking until Homura tells them that she is serious. Both Sayaka and Kyoko are left wondering how it is even possible for someone to have no idea about Soulmates.
  • When the group splits off to do different things at the arcade, Madoka is confused when Mami heads to a specific skee-ball machine in her Magical Girl outfit and is using magic on the ball before rolling it. Mami proceeds to tell Madoka that Kyoko told her that the machine in question had been rigged against letting one get good scores, so she has decided to get some payback by using magic to rig it into her favor. Madoka is left unsure if she should be against what Mami is doing.
  • After defeating a Witch, the group decides to go to a sushi place that happens to be near where the Labyrinth was. Sayaka suggests that she gets fugu (a pufferfish known for being very toxic if prepared incorrectly) only for the others to immediately say no because they don't want to her to test if she is now immune to being poisoned because of her wish.

     Soulmate Sidestories
  • "A Confrontation of Queens" is an alternate take on what might have happened if Mayumi had ended up meeting Mami instead of Kyoko. The result doesn't end in a fight for Mayumi, but is much more humiliating for the Magical Girl.
    • Mami is befuddled by Mayumi calling her the Queen of Mitakihara, wondering where the nickname came from, though being thankful that it at least isn't another Magical Girl complaining about the large size of her bosom.
    • Mami gets Mayumi to stop mid-boast by saying that Homura is prettier.
    • Once Homura shows up, Mami gets her to show her beauty to Mayumi. Mayumi's reaction is one whose ego has been completely deflated.
    • Mami ends up summoning one of her guns in an attempt to intimidate Mayumi before kissing Homura. Which causes a surprise to all three of them as the gun in question starts growing in size due to the kiss. Homura immediately starts thinking about how this could be used for future fights while Mami just gags Mayumi to get her to be quiet.
  • "Soulmate Doppels" show some possibilities for what might happen to Soulmates if one ends up summoning their Doppel, which are both disturbing and absolutely hilarious:
    • Momoko is trying, and barely succeeding, to hold Yachiyo back from reaching Giovanna, while Yachiyo is making bird calls. Momoko is begging Kaede to use her magic to give her something to keep her from getting dragged by Yachiro. Momoko then wonders where Mel and Kanae are only for a message from Tsuruno to answer her question.
Tsuruno: GAHHHHHHHHH!!!! Kanae and Mel have gone completely insane and started talking about little birdies!
    • Kanagi tries to use her mind reading abilities on Rika while she is under the effect of Renata only to quickly regret it when she does. As soon as Kanagi turns off her magic, she immediately grabs Hinano and tells her that they are leaving and that she needs to see a therapist.
Hinano: I take it you mean an actual therapist and not Emiri?
      Kanagi: Yes.
    • Oriko starts treating Latria, Kirika's Doppel, like a cat. The image is so odd, that the Amane Sisters start having second thoughts about being in the Wings of Magus and leave while Oriko is still cooing over Latria.
  • "The Cake Song" is mostly a heartwarming scene showing how much the others care for Homura, but it does have a few moments of comedy:
    • As Mami is beginning to ask Homura about a memory that she saw during their Mental Fusion, Homura is pretty sure that whatever Mami will ask won't be bad due to her not showing any sign of finding out about the Awful Truths that Homura is hiding.
      Mami: What's the cake song?
      Houmra: [Thinking] Fuck.
    • After Homura ends up having a Motor Mouth rant/panic attack about where the song came from and why the song is so important to her, she thinks that the best thing to do when she sees everyone else's reaction is chop off her arm and make a run for it. Madoka stops her before she can even try.
    • As Homura tries to apologize for her reaction and says that she sounded like a fool, Sayaka cuts her off by saying that she sounded like Hitomi does when she is really wound-up.
    • Madoka tells Sayaka to stop calling Homura's past a traumatic backstory.
Sayaka: ...I don’t know what else to call what just happened…
    • Right after Homura's rant, Mami asks for the names of those in the orphanage who threw Homura to the floor so she can deal with them, which Homura deflects. After the others have gotten Homura to calm down and are about to go to bed, Mami has another question for Homura.
Mami: Homura, you never did tell me if you remembered their names.
  • "Overprotective" shows us a glimpse into Homura's first timeline and Madoka's behavior towards the New Transfer Student that is Homura.
    • Madoka's thoughts towards Homura are so obvious that Sayaka asks Hitomi if she talks about Kyosuke as much as Madoka has been talking about Homura.
    • When Kyubey tells Mami and Madoka that the reason that Homura didn't make a wish when she stumbled into the Labyrinth was because she didn't wish to continue to exist, Mami tells Kyubey that he certainly has a way with words.
    • Madoka's thoughts about what Kyubey says is that she should keep an eye on Homura to make sure she is safe, completely ignoring the part if her mind that is pointing out that Mami will likely not be happy with her doing that. She then thinks that the fact that she doesn't tell Mami means that Mami would approve of her idea.
    • The examples of how Madoka tries to help Homura are very amusing:
      • Slipping in extra money so Homura could buy something.
      • Suddenly dragging Homura into a study group with herself, Sayaka, and Hitomi.
      • Putting a box of chocolates in Homura's locker to make a gossiping classmate think that Homura has a love interest.
    • When Madoka swings by Homura's apartment and doesn't see her there, Madoka thinks Homura is missing and goes in to try to find out where she could have gone. As Madoka is looking for clues, Homura comes back in with a glass of water.
      Madoka: [Thinking] Fudge.
    • Madoka then proceeds to explain to Homura that what she is doing is a nice type of stalking done because you care about someone.
