- Back in the day when they were doing drug tests, Vince McMahon tells Sheiky to come over, and he informs Sheiky that he tested positive for cocaine. Sheiky, thinking this was good, lets out numerous Big "YES!" and proceeds to walk around the locker room pounding his chest, yelling "Yes!". When Vince tells him otherwise, Sheiky asks if Don Muraco, Jake Roberts, and Junkyard Dog had tested positive for cocaine and Vince says no. That confuses Sheiky, why?... because they were all sharing the cocaine.
- Another one that Pat Patterson told, was that Patterson was a road agent and Sheiky was late for a booking. When Sheiky finally gets to the building....late...Patterson greets him outside as Sheiky opens the car trunk. Sheiky pulls out a half gallon of Crown Royal, and tells Patterson..."Me and you drink tonight...just me and you!!"....just then Sheiky drops the Crown Royal and it breaks, spilling the whiskey on the ground. Sheiky lets out a scream and gets on his hands and knees crying about the spillage.
- Jay Lethal once prank called Sheiky, impersonating Randy Savage and telling him that they wanted to bring him to TNA, but first asks him if anybody messed with Miss Elizabeth when Randy wasn't around. Before Lethal could even say her name, Sheiky immediately answered, "It was that son of bitch Luger! I know it was him!".
- Kevin Nash told a hilarious story of one of his first roadtrips in the business, where Sheik was one of the passengers. As Nash recalled "within about 30 seconds I could smell weed". When Nash complained about it, Sheik assured him that he had cologne, and splashed the car with Brut.
- Sheik loudly asked fellow passenger Sid who "da giant Jabroni with the mohawk" was. Nash politely but firmly told Sheik that he "wasn't a Jabroni" and Sheik responded with a soft "Aw of course you're not Bubba".

- Jim Cornette tells a story about Sheik's time in the Memphis territory. Cornette was filling in as a ring announcer before he became a manager. The local athletic commissioner ordered that no wrestler could use the ring microphone. Christine Jarrett note ordered Cornette to not allow any wrestler to take the microphone under any circumstances because the commissioner was in attendance. Sheik demanded the microphone because part of his gimmick was telling the crowd "Don't say USA!" Sheik managed to wrest the microphone from Cornette and scream "fack da commissioner!" loud enough for the mic to pick it up and the whole building, including the commissioner, to hear loud and clear.
