Funny / Peter Pan (1954)

Go To

  • Peter tells the Darling children to think happy thoughts to fly (ex. Wendy thinks of hopscotch, summer and flowers while John thinks of fishing, picnics and sailing), with Michael unsuccessfully locked on candy. Peter tells him he needs a happier thought, and they find Christmas does the trick.
  • At the request of the Lost Boys, Wendy shares the endings of fairy tales they had yet to complete. Each of her descriptions ends with, "...and they all lived Happily Ever After!" Tootles then asks how Hamlet ended, so she hesitantly tells them that Hamlet, the king, the queen, Ophelia, Polonius, and Laertes all died, but "the rest of them lived Happily Ever After!"
  • In at least one version, notably the 1960 TV version, when the Lost Boys and Indians notice Wendy flying over Never Land and mistake her for a bird, Tiger Lily believes that the "bird" must be an Omen. When one fellow Indian inquires "Good or bad Omen?", Tiger Lily shrugs it off and goes: "Famous Indian Proverb: when in doubt... RUN!!!!!" And she and the other Indians head for the hills.
  • In the Cathy Rigby version, when the Lost Boys show up to ask Mr. and Mrs. Darling to adopt them, Smee shows up, wearing pink pyjamas and a striped nightcap and pretending to be a Lost Boy up for adoption as well. He gets a few odd looks by the Darlings, but after a few moments they just shrug it off.
  • Every one of Christopher Walken's moments as Captain Hook in the Allison Williams version.
