  • Liza's expanded role in the original 1950s/1960 version of the show. Despite being only about Wendy's age, she has to work as a housemaid like many young lower-class girls of the era did, and until Peter arrives, she's probably never really been able to be a child. In the opening scene, she has to dust the floor while the Darling children play, and declines when they invite her to play too because she has "more important things to do." But then, that night, Michael throws fairy dust on her and lets her fly to Neverland with them, and when she arrives, she gets to do a beautiful dance with living trees and animals, finally indulging in fantasy and fun. Later, she even gets to sing a duet with Peter, where he teaches her to crow like he does.
