Funny / NES Remix

  • Admit it, getting Luigi killed on purpose in the Mario Bros. levels requiring it is hilarious, especially after doing the Escort Missions. This becomes even funnier given The Year of Luigi, and utterly hysterical if one thinks of it as Mario getting revenge.
  • Something else you should admit is that you laughed when Link was put into the original Donkey Kong.
  • The challenges where the screen expands to reveal copies of the same screen. Watching yourself play Balloon Fight on 25 different screens at once is hilarious.
    • Then there are challenges where the screen zooms in instead.
  • The second game has Peach being saved... by Peach. The ending dialogue changes to reflect this.
Mario 3 Peach: Thank you, but you are in another castle... Just kidding! Ha ha ha! Bye bye!
  • Remix 17 has you running through a mirrored version of the second stage of Donkey Kong as Luigi, trying to rescue Mario. You make it to the end, and your next goal?
"On second thought... back to the start!"
  • One Ice Climber remix set in the first game requires you to grab all the veggies in the bonus stage while the graphics randomly change to faux-Game Boy style, complete with music. The last one changes it up slightly... and makes it Virtual Boy style instead.
  • One Punch-Out!! challenge tasks you with defeating Piston Honda in the first part. The second part consists solely of the memetic cutscene of Doc Louis training Little Mac.
  • Some Super Mario Bros. stages have you completing one of the underground stages by getting to the flagpole—emphasis on flagpole. Smartass players who try to use a Warp Zone instead get treated to a Miss, as if they died.
