  • Early on Ikki is forced by Erika to wear a skirt in order to find a Medabot miscreant messing with "cute girls" in the town. Poor Ikki is very embarrassed by it and refuses to go anywhere other than the places he absolutely has to.
    • Then the Medabot causing all the trouble shows up and bumps into Erika who he doesn't think that she qualifies as "cute". Cue Erika furiously chasing after him. If you speak to Erika near the Abandoned Warehouse she'll be utterly pissed still searching for that Medabot.
  • Every single time Ikki is forced into crossdressing. Particularly not realizing Karin saw his first instance of it (he was forced into one of Erika's skirts to be bait for a Rubberobo that was using a Foxuno to tickle girls) and was completely lost when Karin tells him "That Kimono also looks good on you!" in Odoro Marsh. Ikki lampshades Karin's quip: "wait, also?" only for Karin to sheepishly answer with a "It's a secret!"
    • Speaking of the pink kimono, Ikki gets into two fights because of it: one with Spyke and another with Koji.
    • The event in Milky's Castle has her trying to put Ikki into the Hero's Clothes... Only to get him into a Princess Dress. Ikki ends up with an unamused look in his face.
  • Before going to Mt. Odoro for the first time Ikki asks his mom to make a lunch box since he's going there with Erika. Ikki quickly realizes on what this implies and does a Verbal Backspace.
  • The Phantom Renegade officially enters the story by saving Ikki from a Rubberobo Gang ambush. Said Rubberobos instantly call The Phantom Renegade a weirdo because of his get up causing a flustered Phantom to immediately point out they're the last people who can call anyone a weirdo.
  • The first time you try to visit Karin in Medaropolis Ikki is met with instant hostility upon calling the intercom yelling at him to "GET OUT!" much to his confusion. In reality it was Karin's father kicking Koji out since he views him as a troublemaker who puts Karin in dangerous situations, Ikki ended up caught in the crossfire just being there.
  • During the missing children incident in Medaropolis there's a moment where Ikki and Erika are together in the town square thinking about the case when a Rubberobo Kid runs by... followed by a Select Corp... and then the Phantom Renegade. All complete with their themes playing as they run by Ikki and Erika.
  • During the first Rosewood incident where Rubberobo Gang holds everyone hostage they leave a guard blocking the door. Koji has a plan to get rid of him without a robattle: ask him to get his homework. Ikki thinks Who Would Be Stupid Enough?, but he forgets these are Rubberobos and the plan naturally works, much to Ikki's chagrin.
  • The Select Corps in this game are generally presented as a hilariously inept force of justice that is only taken seriously by the Rubberobo Gang. But it truly reaches its peak when Ikki leads the post-Heel–Face Turn Rubberobo Kids to Rosewood Academy to help them escape the Select Corps. Once Ikki is able to safely get the kids in, the Phantom Renegade diverts the Select Corps' search for the kids elsewhere... by tampering with Rosewood Academy's plaque so it reads Woodrose. And it works.
    • After the above, Ikki starts to investigate how the Rubberobo Gang can appear anywhere in Medaropolis after a tip from Koji. After some investigation, he finds a secret passage leading to the Gang's hideout, where he finds an experimentation room with Rubberobo grunts experimenting with Carbon Dioxide on Medabots which has no effect. Then the Rubberobo in question decides they need a human guinea pig then enters the chamber while wondering where they could find one realizing too late that he became the guinea pig.
  • While in the Fiyun Fortress, Ikki can come across a computer used by Doctor Armond to search for the Top 10 Music Idols and how to pick up girls.
  • If you're coming into the Rokusho version after watching the Anime you'll certainly get a couple of laughs seeing Rokusho being confiscated by Kirara after the latter scolds Henry for slacking in his studies and then moping about being stuck in a girl's room because of Henry's slacking.
  • Hachiro taking a vacation in Kodine Kingdom during the Partsun Rally and justifying it by claiming he's just that rich.
  • The Pushover attack used by the Sunwitch Medabot or the Rabbit Medaforce. It's a banana peel that causes the target Medabots to fall on their heads and forget their next action if they're in Charge phase.
  • Samantha's dejected expression when telling Sloan he should go on a diet after the latter unsuccessfully tries to enter an air vent. This hits poor Sloan so hard it's the one and only time he doesn't talk about laundry.
  • Baron's first appearance can be a huge case of in-game Hype Backlash when you realize his Banishers' main (and only) method of attack is their medaparts' Counter-Attack skill that triggers whenever Banisher is struck with normal attacks... but do jack against Medaforce attacks. You can just charge and unleash Medaforce attacks while Baron's Medabots can't do anything against you.
  • Samantha freaking out after Koji's Sumilidon/Warbandit gives her Peppercat a bad case of Blown Across the Room.
  • Ikki eventually gets tired of Sloan's one-note acting about laundry and in Medabot Tournament he even lampshades: "Is that all you say?"
  • Upon the reveal that Dr. Armond has ties with the Rubberobo Gang in Medaropolis Square he says "I wasn't here waiting for a girl!" and Ikki ends up questioning if he was waiting for a guy instead stealing Dr. Armond's thunder.
  • In Medabot Island you have the option to buy Erika drinks with one of them being Deluxe Oil. Erika will not be amused by this and will protest (without her usually angry portrait) that she is not a Medabot.
  • During the second visit to Medabot Island you find the children who were kidnapped by the Rubberobo Gang and Hachiro is among them. The kicker? Hachiro went there by himself because the child of a rich family is always kidnapped. Even the other children lampshade the absurdity of the situation and how this only happens in movies.
