Despite some of its darker undertones, it's inevitable that you'll get a laugh out of this show.

Beware of unmarked spoilers!

  • Opening Credits:
    • At the end of the opening credits Chisato and Takina are walking side-by-side when Chisato gives a playful kick to Takina's butt. Takina responds giving Chisato a hard kick to the butt, knocking her sideways about a foot.
  • Episode 1:
    • When Takina mistakes Mizuki for Chisato, Mika says "That's not Chisato.", with Mizuki taking offense to being referred to as a thing rather than a person. Then Takina turns toward Mika, actually believing that he might be Chisato until an astonished Mizuki points that she's obviously not going to be a middle-aged man.
    • The visit to the Yakuza boss starts with one of his flunkies telling the two girls to get lost, only for his boss to grab him by the collar and for said flunky to have a head bump seconds later. Then, after Chisato gives freshly ground coffee to the Yakuza boss, she jokes at Takina thinking she was giving him narcotics, something Takina would've killed over if Chisato hadn't stopped her.
    • Chisato does a Spit Take when she sees the photo that Saori took and realizes she caught a photo of the arms dealers.
  • Episode 2:
    • Chisato freaking out when they see a red "supercar"note , with her wanting to drive it, and then her lamenting when Walnut shows up in a white hatchback and they leave the red car behind.
Chisato: WOOOAAAH! IT'S A SUPERCAAAR!! CHECK IT OUT!! AMAZING!
Takina: A car like that stands out.
Chisato: I'm sorry, but I GOTTA DRIVE THAT THING!
(A moment later just as they drive away)
Chisato: (To Walnut) Hey, hold on! You're gonna leave the supercar here!? (Smash Cut) But I wanna ride in the supercaaaaaar!
    • Mizuki shows Chisato a photo of her saddened face when she thought Walnut had been killed. Chisato's reaction to the humiliating photo is about what you'd expect as she tries to get Mizuki to delete it.
    • When Chisato realizes that Kurumi is hiding in LycoReco's closet, she literally screams in shock.
    • Takina tries to shoot an elastic band at Chisato from behind at the end of the episode. She misses and hits Kurumi in the forehead.
  • Episode 3:
    • Mizuki shows DA's version of the photo that Takina sent them, only for Kurumi to provide a much higher resolution pic within seconds. Mizuki is not pleased.
    • Chisato blowing a raspberry at the DA security cameras is about what you'd expect of her childishness.
    • Listening to Chisato and Fuki smack-talk each other is a joy, especially once it unexpectedly devolves into faux-delinquent drawling, with Chisato even asking her fellow Tyke Bomb what school she's from.
Fuki: And is that uniform of yours just for decoration? You're a chicken that only shoots rubber.
Chisato: What was THAT? I KNOW YOU DIDN'T SAY THAT TO ME!
Fuki: YEEAAH?! Did your ears turn to RUBBER TOO? Go back to brewing your tea at the base of the RADIO TOWER! HUH!?
      Chisato: Yeeaah?!
      Fuki: YEEAAH?!
(The duo continue to bicker before the match starts.)
    • Watching Chisato toy with Fuki and Sakura during the mock battle is both funny and awesome. One golden line in it is Chisato, after disarming Sakura, telling her that she's "already died twice".
    • Sakura later is baffled to learn that her fine aiming skills made it easier for Chisato to dodge her, thinking that Chisato's Dodge the Bullet feats are something that only happens in manga.
  • Episode 4:
    • Majima's Oh, Crap! face when he sees that the blasted train is full of Lycoris agents with their guns trained at him and his goons is an excellent black comedy moment.
    • Chisato and Fuki both hate losing in a VR game, especially since they're losing to someone with their rival's names. They don't even know that they're actually facing each other online!
Sakura: Senpai, you're getting too worked up over an online game.
Fuki and Chisato: (at the same time) Well (Chisato: I mean), yeah, take a look at their annoying username!
    • Chisato's reaction to seeing that Takina wears boxers is hilarious. It gets even funnier when, the day after their shopping spree, she tries them on. Cue Mizuki walking in on her just at that moment and proceeding to humiliate her in front of the LycoReco's patrons for wearing men's undergarments.
    • Kurumi looking up the black market while taking a bath is rather amusing, but it's even funnier when Mizuki forces her out of the bath and then Kurumi basically does an "Ahhhhhhh" into an oscillating fan, just like a kid would do.
    • Takina taking a fish pose in order to cheer Chisato up is both hilarious and heartwarming.
      Takina: SAKANAAAA!Dub
    • Majima hanging up on Robota like he's a spammer is worth a chuckle.
Robota: WHAT THE—!? HE HUNG UP!? HEY, COME ON!
  • Episode 5:
    • Chisato acting all happy-go-lucky for Mr. Matsushita throughout the episode is sure to give viewers a chuckle. It's a lot less funny and a lot more sad when one discovers that "Mr. Matsushita" never existed and that she's just been pushing around an old man who was more-or-less already dead.
    • Takina wants to confirm Chisato's word that her heart doesn't beat and tries to touch her chest while they're on a ferry. Chisato's response?
Chisato: "Confirming's fine, but don't fondle my chest in public!"
    • The first thing Mizuki thinks to do when caught by Silent Jin? Scream that he's a pervert.
    • Kurumi's nonchalant "Oh, you're still alive, Mizuki?" after the latter is freed from Silent Jin stuffing her in a box, followed by Mizuki angrily yelling at her for being so dismissive over how she could've been killed.
  • Episode 6:
  • Episode 7:
    • Chisato and Takina are both asked by DA to sketch a mugshot of Majima. Both of their drawings are terrible, though Takina's doesn't look anything like him. Chisato even laughs out loud at how bad Takina's drawing is, with Takina claiming Chisato's looks too much like a manga drawing. Sakura then wonders aloud if artistic skills should become a prerequisite for Lycoris agents.
    • The four women at LycoReco think that the café's continued existence is in jeopardy. While Chisato, Takina and Kurumi all have good reasons to continue needing the café, Mizuki's only reason is that she'd lose her primary means of looking for a husband.
      • During said scene, Takina hits Kurumi on the head with a platter twice. The first time is for mentioning how Chisato caught a glimpse of Takina wearing boxers, while the second is after mentioning how DA doesn't want Takina back. Both are cases of Open Mouth, Insert Foot.
    • Takina and Kurumi both think that Mika is having a hidden affair with Kusunoki, but Chisato and Mizuki immediately deny this in a comical manner since they know Mika is gay.
    • When infiltrating the Bar Forbidden, Chisato and Takina use the fake names Noriko Wasabi and Taro Kabayaki, which Mizuki thinks will never work. Much to her surprise, the receptionist at the bar believes them! Cue Kurumi rubbing it in her face.
    • While visiting LycoReco, Sakura orders some dango, but Fuki drags her out of the café before her order is finished, much to Sakura's dismay.
    • At the end of the episode, Mizuki puts on a sexy black dress and plans to go to the bar that they snuck into previously. However, Kurumi has already deleted the ID she was planning to use, meaning she can't get in. She tries to run off anyway, only to be interrupted by a stray dog.
      • What makes it even funnier is that Mizuki is practically radiating beauty as she boasts about how she's going to the bar, only for the aura around her to vanish after Kurumi tells her that her membership card won't work anymore. The music even falters as Mizuki realizes that Kurumi just screwed her over.
  • Episode 8:
    • Upon learning that the LycoReco café is losing money, Takina takes it upon herself to manage their funds. Cue a cavalcade of clips where Takina is interfering with missions (i.e. telling Chisato to stop wasting rubber bullets while they're in a firefight), scolding the others for tiny mistakes (i.e. leaving the fridge open), etc., all for the sake of saving money.
      • One of these clips has Takina shoot Chisato with their binding gun, leaving Chisato tied up and flailing on the floor like a fish out of water.
    • Takina disables a bomb during a mission, but the people who hired them refuse to pay them. When two of them try to attack the pair, Chisato first shoots one in the leg, and then gives the second one their gun back after disarming him. She then easily dodges his shots at point-blank range and follows up with a Bruce Lee pose complete with a "WHAA-CHAA!", prompting her attacker to drop to his knees and beg for mercy. Takina then reveals she didn't fully disarm the bomb and that she'll let them try to finish disarming it, prompting the bar owner to cave in and pay them. The whole scene is a hilarious Refuge in Audacity moment.
    • While volunteering at a language class, Takina forces Chisato to do a handstand. Chisato is forced to do it one-handed, using the other to hold her skirt and avoid a Panty Shot. Chisato puts Takina in a choke hold afterwards in aggravation.
      Takina: Neko.
      Chisato: NEKO! NYAH!
      Takina: Inu.
Chisato: Inu! (Makes woof sounds and pats idiotically)
      Takina: HANDSTAND!
    • While doing activities on Halloween, Chisato is told to take care of some jobs by herself while still dressed in a pumpkin/witch costume. The way Chisato goes on doing things like helping out in a legal firearms test, all while dressed up as if going to a cosplay party, is jarringly funny.
    • Takina takes a look at Kurumi's computer partway through the episode and sees that she posted that one of their chocolate parfaits (which Takina designed) looks like poop. What's more, Kurumi's post went viral! Takina has an absolutely mortified face and suggests they should stop serving it.
      • What's funnier is that when Takina first presents it to Mizuki and Chisato, both of them think it's a literal pile of crap!note  And to make it even more hilarious, the parfait sells like crazy!
      • The café orders a droid to help serve as a waiter. When given one of the aforementioned parfaits, it flushes it down the toilet, with Mizuki giving a brief cuss after she fails to stop it.
    • In a bit of Black Comedy, Chisato's ringtone Kewpie's 3 Minute Cooking song plays while Majima intrudes uninvited in her safehouse.
    • When Kurumi asks Mika if he's heard anything from his "lover", Mizuki gives her a Judo Chop to the neck and knocks her out.
    • Chisato admits near the end of the episode that she's Afraid of Needles. Takina laughs at her for it. This then cuts to Chisato stammering rapidly for Himegama to get it over with when she gets an injection during her physical checkup. It's a lot less funny afterward when Chisato realizes Himegama gave her a sedative.
  • Episode 9:
    • While Mizuki and Chisato are driving over to DA to see Kusunoki, a pair of angry drivers yell at them for driving too slowly (when they are clearly being too aggressive). Chisato points her gun at them to scare them off, with Mizuki barely having enough time to roll down the windows to avoid having Chisato damage her car. The two then drive on as if nothing happened.
    • Kusunoki gets on Chisato's case for letting Majima escape from her twice. Chisato replies that it wasn't part of her job to catch him. The way she casually says it, despite that Majima tried to shoot her in both instances, is a bit of Black Comedy.
    • Sakura attempts to order one of Takina's parfaits. To her dismay, Fuki drags her out of the café before she can have it.
    • When Takina reveals she was eavesdropping on Kurumi and Mika, she points out that Mizuki was also listening in, with the latter stammering hilariously at being ratted out.
    • When Takina takes Chisato around for a day off, she's constantly interrupting their current activity to maintain a schedule, with Chisato visibly protesting each time. The funniest part is Chisato asking why Takina is in such a rush while her mouth is full of pancake.
  • Episode 10:
    • Mizuki and Kurumi are investigating Chisato's artificial heart when she walks in on them and they act as if they've been caught with their hand in the proverbial cookie jar. Kurumi even tries holding her arms over her screen and failing to cover most of it. It becomes more sad afterward when Chisato announces that they'll be closing the café down, which would force Kurumi to leave the country for her safety.
  • Episode 11:
    • Just as the two are having a heartfelt farewell, Kurumi tells Mizuki that she got her an economy plane ticket rather than first-class. Mizuki crushes the ticket in aggravation at being trolled again by the hacker.
    • Kurumi casually sliding down the escalator's railing on her large suitcase in her rush to meet with Mizuki, who is later warned by a flustered stewardess that "her long lost daughter is waiting for her" while Kurumi loudly calls her from the airstrip.
    • When Kurumi cancels her flight, she forces Mizuki to cancel hers. She then grabs Mizuki's phone while she was in conversation with someone she was planning to date and basically tells him "no dice".
      • Mizuki later loudly shouts in dismay "Goodbye, my darling!" as she's taking Kurumi out of the airport, lamenting at how Kurumi has once again screwed her over.
    • Just before entering the Skytree tower, Chisato casually shoots one of Robota's drones out of the air without even looking at it. Robota is pissed since it was an expensive drone.
    • Chisato enters the Skytree tower alone and clashes with four terrorists, knocking all of them out. As three of them fall down a flight of stairs, she catches them all in an amusing pose while citing how they could die if they fell down while unconscious. It's how dire the situation is and how Chisato is still being so chipper that makes it jarringly hilarious.
  • Episode 12:
    • In a moment of brilliant hilarity, Kusunoki is able to transmit a message to Mika about the LilyBell agents by pretending she's in the bathroom. And her assistant keeps everyone out by claiming she takes a while in there! How are they so dumb as to let her do that?!
    • Kurumi manipulates the systems in Enkuboku tower in order to keep the Lycoris agents safe from the LilyBell agents, but her interface looks like she's playing a game of Pac-Man.
    • Kurumi, within seconds of plugging into Enkuboku Tower, locates Robota and fries his setup. Hearing Robota's cries of protest is hilarious because of how much he's had it coming, and how he is in complete disbelief that Walnut is still alive. And then Detective Abe breaks his door down and arrests him.
    • Kurumi manages to defuse the chaos in Tokyo by making the whole incident look like some kind of crazy publicity stunt. IT WORKS. The next we see of her, she's conked out in Mizuki's helicopter as though she just needs a nap while Mizuki is complaining that they're about to run out of fuel.
    • Despite how it's meant to be a dire situation, Chisato calmly walks out into a hallway full of LilyBell agents firing assault rifles up at her. They all miss, even though Chisato doesn't make a single dodge.
    • When the LilyBell team leaves Enkuboku Tower, one of them glares at Chisato. Takina asks her if they know each other. Chisato denies it, with Takina claiming he seems to hold a grudge against her. Chisato playfully asks her partner if she should've smiled back at the rival agent. Even in such a dire situation, it's hilarious that Chisato can still be such a Troll.
    • When Majima confronts Chisato at the Enkuboku Tower at the end of the episode, despite him just having sprayed an SMG at the other Lycoris agents (who are now cut off from Chisato), the two give each other a friendly "Yo" as if this is something they do every day.
  • Episode 13:
    • Robota screaming for Abe not to remove his mask is hilarious.
    • Sakura makes fun of how Fuki doesn't even know how to use a vending machine. They then see a poster of the Lycoris "movie" and Sakura remarks that the two agents on the poster look like her and Fuki. Fuki denies it, with Sakura also wondering why one of the poster agents is carrying a bazooka.
    • Kurumi making fun of Silent Jin for his choice of nickname. Never stop being a Troll, Kurumi.
    • When Takina tracks down Chisato, it's presented as though she's hunting a dangerous criminal. The two even exchange shots with one another until they hit each other with their binding guns simultaneously. Cue the two bickering while tied up on the ground.
      Chisato: Are you stupid?!
    • The way Takina tracked down Chisato is a Book Ends moment where Saori took another photo of herself and her boyfriend, and caught Chisato in the snapshot by accident. Chisato makes the following joke.
Chisato: "Miss Saori, at some point you're gonna take a picture of an alien or something."
    • Takina demands to know why Chisato ran away. Chisato answers that she didn't want to feel sappy or anything like that after receiving another case of life-saving surgery. The clip that plays while she says all this is what makes it funny.
    • The picture Takina sends to the others after she found Chisato, showing a pouting Chisato tied to a tree. One wonders whether Takina got loose first after they hit each other with their binding guns, or whether Chisato grudgingly consented.
    • Chisato throws her Alan Institute pendant into the ocean, claiming she only hesitated for a second because Takina said it looked cute on her. Takina denies this, prompting Chisato to lift Takina into her arms like she did in Episode 3. This time, however, Takina struggles and the two fall into the water. Takina yells at Chisato for it in a "Why the hell did you do that, you dummy?!" manner.
    • In the epilogue, Chisato takes the rest of the LycoReco crew to Hawaii. Kusunoki calls and tries to reach Mika, but Chisato tells her not to try and reach him. Takina asks who was calling, with Chisato unconvincingly saying it was one of her fans. Takina goes along with it.
    • Mizuki, for once, is the lazy one when she refuses to do any work while they're in Hawaii. In fact, when asked for Chisato by someone, she literally says, in English, "I don't speak English." Thrice. Then, when she can't ignore the customer any longer, she tells Chisato, "Chisato, it's a frozen penguin."
