Lily's Poke-Madhouse is a Dramedy for a reason.
GENERAL
- Mikaila's propensity to add "le" to every sound effect.
- Bonnie's stubborn insistence that G is her mother, much to G's chagrin, and refusing to be deterred from it.
- Most of the comics under the "Bontent" tag are packed to the gills with offbeat and nonsensical humor based around Bonnie's interpretation of reality.
- The entirety of Boncraft is Bonnie playing Minecraft incorrectly and being rewarded for it.
- Bonnie uses the wrong tools in every single comic. A pickaxe to dig dirt, an iron shovel to paddle a boat, and a wooden sword to shop trees.
- Bonnie has a unique control over mobs. She can stop Creepers from blowing up simply by saying "No thank you!", is crowned queen of the sea by an Ocean Guardian just for existing, and gets a shoulder ride from an Enderman.
- G of the 2-82 universe in the Honesty Arc. She has some of the most delightfully smug and evil faces that Turkleson has ever drawn, and her attitude contrasts mainverse's G's angry attitude so well.
- Mainverse's G: "I don't want your help. You're cursed."2-82's G: "Well I'm happy as a clam with my life while you're sitting here miserable. So really, who's the cursed one?"
SPECIFIC EXAMPLES
- Shame is mostly Tear Jerker, but there's a moment when G admits that she's in love with Lily. Mikaila walks in, hears G, and promptly walks right out.
- The ending to Crossroad takes a sudden turn toward hilarity when Lily and G seem to be at odds with each other. G is angry at Lily for entertaining the notion of developing feelings for her, and Lily is angry with G for linking their dreams. Then out of the blue G says "Call it even?" to which Lily happily agrees and they high five.
- When G realizes that her dreams are linking with Lily's, she makes the face pictured to the right.
- Haircut
. Lily comes home with a shorter haircut around her shoulders and asks Mikaila what she thinks, only for Mikaila to be completely frozen, blushing and drooling a little. Lily then turns to G to ask her opinion, and G is doing the exact same thing. - When Lacey comes by to interrogate Lily about Bonnie's existence, it ends with Bonnie adorably crawling onto Lacey's head...which Lily takes a picture of and uploads to Twitter. The rest of the comic is devoted to Lily posting about Lacey and Bonnie on Twitter and getting extremely visceral reactions from the people she knows.
- Sketchy: "WTF IS THAT THING?"Lizzy: "Called it."Cadance: "WHAT DID YOU DO?"Nintendogal: "The guys all owe me fifty bucks!"
- Then there's one from presumably an old classmate that just drags everyone for being surprised.Serenity Now: "Lol everyone in the replies be like "WTF" bitch those two went to prom together this is the opposite of a shock."
- The best one goes to G, who just takes issue with Lily's choice of words in her tweet.G: "Why, out of all the words for baby you know, did you have to say 'Love Child'?"
- The comic with Bonnie building a Lilyvoir snow sculpture. G has the most grumpy and unpleasant look on her face while Lily is torn between not wanting to discourage Bonnie's creativity and not wanting to encourage her shipping.
- One comic features Bonnie being greeted by the sun, and then yelling at the sun for being rude. As Bonnie suffers from sensory overload, this is understandable. But the sight of a small child yelling at the sun in sunglasses is hilarious.
- In a flashback comic for G's Journal, a teenage Lily suggests to G that she's too big for them to share a bed. G rejects this idea emphatically.
- G: "Nothing good can come from talking about this, so why even bother?"Lily: "Maybe because this is a sign that you should have your own bed? That you're too big to just sleep beside me anymore?"G: "You shut your whore mouth!"
- Dr. Ponytail comes to visit.Mikaila: Ah, Dr. Ponytail! We meet again!
Dr. Ponytail: ...We've never met.
Mikaila: ...Ah, Dr. Ponytail! We meet at last!- When Bonnie hears that it's Dr. Ponytail, she tells Mikaila to tell her "No thank you." Mikaila agrees.
- When Marah shows up at the house, she immediately bursts into a musical number to try and convince Lily to let her stay, but she only gets one word into it before G gets up, and we get this panel.◊Marah: Hey, cutie.
- When multiple readers claim that Bonnie is autistic-coded despite Word of God saying otherwise, we get this exchange.Bonnie: This is why I drink.
Mikaila: Bonnie, that's apple juice.
Bonnie: This is why I drink apple juice.
Mikaila: Alright, then. - Mikaila's parents keep badgering her about having grandchildren, so she brings Bonnie to them, along with Lily and G. Cue Bonnie using a prehensile tongue to devour a slice of pizza while G looms menacingly over Lily's shoulder at Mikaila's parents.
- The panel of Mikaila, Lily, and G all sharing a bed is genuinely heartwarming, but when readers asked where Bonnie was sleeping, a supplementary panel was released showing Bonnie sleeping in a slipper at the edge of the bed, complete with cucumber slices and a nightcap.
- When Lily realizes that G's dress comes off, her reaction is that she needs Brain Bleach.
- KP offers to babysit Bonnie, and after being warned that Bonnie can be a little weird, promptly says that nothing can freak her out. Cue Bonnie drinking the highlight out of her hair.Bonnie: Needs more yellow.
- When Lily's mother begins harassing Lily about not revealing Bonnie to her, Lily decides the best way to get her to stop is to go "nuclear".Lily: You going to apologize for trying to attack me when I came out?
Mother: That wasn't because we thought you were gay. We thought you were fooling around with G.
Lily: Then trust me, you do not want to meet Bonnie.
Mother: ... Tell me you didn't.
Lily: I'm sorry you had to find out this way but the heart wants what it wants.
Mother: LILIAN VALERIE ORCHARD!!!
Lily: You couldn't possibly understand our love!
Mother: What were you thinking?
Lily: I was thinking "damn those stick legs are sexy"
Mother: That's fucking disgusting!
Lily: Gotta go. G's giving me the look so I gotta go fuck my monster wife. cya
