"Ohh. I'm a big baby. Very mature."
  • Sersi being teased by her students over meeting Dane for a date.
  • Dane immediately asks Sersi after their date if she's a wizard, casually revealing that Sprite had been telling him facts about the Eternals. She tries to blow it off until a Deviant attacks...at which point Dane reveals Sprite also told him about that and already knows what's chasing them.
Dane: You said you killed them all!
Sersi: (to Sprite) You told him that?!
Sprite: (to Dane) You believed me?!
    Dane: I DO NOW!!
  • After learning about Sersi's powers, Dane is disappointed to learn that she can only use them on inanimate matter and can't turn him into a giraffe, something he insists he always wanted to be. Even in the final scenes of the movie when he reunites with Sersi, he's still annoyed that her power enhancements which allowed her to affect organic matter didn't persist long enough for her to transform him.
  • Sersi and Sprite vault over a railing to pursue a Deviant. Dane starts to do it as well only to suddenly pause and remark to himself, "Nope. Stairs."
  • Ikaris tries to tell Sersi "You are very beautiful" in the language of Babylon. He accidentally says "I am very beautiful."
  • The appropriately epic bitch slap Gilgamesh gave a Deviant at the Gates of Babylon when he'd already put it down but it refused to stay down.
  • Phastos proudly tries to invent a steam engine when they first arrive to make farming easier for humans. The others tell him it would frighten the still primitive humans and that they're not ready for such technology yet. He reluctantly invents the plow instead and is clearly disappointed at switching to a far simpler tool.
    • Also, in the MCU, the historical reason why a plow is named after what it does is because its inventor was so disappointed he didn't bother coming up with a better name.
  • A Deviant tackles Ikaris into a bus, causing the back of the bus to take into the air. Right before it hits the ground, Sersi runs into its path and turns it into rose petals, which drift down harmlessly. As the bus driver climbs out of the pile, Sersi gives a sheepish little, "Sorry".
  • Ikaris, Sprite, and Sersi shows up on the set of one of Kingo's films.
    • Kingo is playing the title role in a movie about Ikaris.
    • Kingo claims the other Eternals are his friends from college.
    • Kingo's valet Karun is apparently in on his secret. He initially thought Kingo was a vampire and tried to stake him. And they laugh about it. Which is extra-funny when the post-credits scenes reveals that, with Blade showing up, vampires are indeed real.
Karun: I've apologized so many times.
Kingo: Not quite enough, very close though. I'll let you know.
  • The Running Gag of Kingo recording their entire journey as a documentary.
    • Kingo tries to interview Sprite, who flips him off and turns invisible.
    • Sersi's interview doesn't go any better, as she just awkwardly describes turning rocks into different things.
    • Sprite pours her heart out to Kingo about being stuck as a child, never getting to fall in love or have a family. Then it's revealed that Karun was recording the whole thing.
    • During the Deviant attack at Druig's village, Kingo shouts at Karun "Are you mental? Hide!"
    • Kingo defeats a Deviant by shooting it in the mouth, blowing off its head and covering him in blood. He even says "Dishoom!" (the hindi equivalent of BANG, and sometimes WHAM).
Kingo: Karun! Did you get that?!
      Karun: I did, sir!
    • The Running Gag of annoyed Eternals smashing Karun's cameras, only to realize he has a spare.
      • Druig does it out of spite, causing Kingo to scold him, "You do not mind-control people's valets!"
      • Not to mention the teen-looking Sprite snapping at the fifty-something Karun by calling him "young man"!
  • When the possibility of saving mankind is raised, Karun agrees it should be done, and then dejectedly notes that as a human, he's biased towards keeping everyone alive.
  • While shooting his documentary, Kingo builds up Gilgamesh as an amazing warrior. Then they knock on his door and he shows up in a gaudy "Kiss the Cook" Apron.
Karun: I have the same apron.
  • The others tell Gilgamesh that the Deviants are back... even after they walked near a dead Deviant that Gilgamesh clearly killed lying a few meters away. Gilgamesh can only snort "No shit".
  • A bit of Bathos. After finding out about Ajak's death, Gilgamesh's arms slump to his sides while holding a skillet with a freshly-baked pie. Miraculously, the pie stays put for several seconds before sliding out onto the floor.
  • Kingo loves the liquor Gilgamesh serves him, until finding out how he makes it and spits it back out. In a later scene, he takes another sip of the liquor, seemingly having temporarily forgotten why he objected to it... and ends up spitting it back out again.
Kingo: (Weakly) Gilgamesh, could you please get rid of the saliva beer?
  • Gilgamesh makes numerous jokes at Sprite's expense about her teenage body, such as refusing to serve her liquor because she's "too young." Sprite uses her illusion powers to dress him as a giant baby in revenge. In the illusion, his bib has "Gilga-Mess" written on it. While Gilgamesh is "wearing" the bib, a few bars of the Eternals theme plays in the style of a baby mobile / wind-up music box.
Gilgamesh: Oh. I'm a big baby.
  • Gilgamesh reveals that Druig's powers can put Thena to sleep and prevent relapses of Mahd Wy'ry - which Gilgamesh only agreed to so he could go on vacation. In Fiji.
  • The otherwise tension-filled atmosphere of the Eternals' reunion with Druig. Just as Druig is going to give a serious reply following Sersi telling him the truth about their existence and the Emergence, her phone suddenly goes off playing Lizzo's "Juice" as Dane tries calling her. Awkwardly, she switches off her phone and Kingo asks her who her service provider is...
Kingo: Wait, what's your service? I'm not getting any bars.
  • A tense standoff between Druig and Kingo:
Druig: (sarcastically) Kingo, the movie star.
Kingo: (completely seriously) I've directed some things too.
    • They get sidetracked with a petty argument about online content creation and Kingo insisting he doesn't do it for the views, and Ikaris has to interrupt them to remind them of their mission.
  • During Druig's rant at the reunion, Gilgamesh dozes off and snores. Thena smacks his arm to awaken him.
  • When Sersi's attempt to call Dane ends abruptly due to the cell reception failing:
    Sersi: Dane, you're breaking up.
Ikaris: (A bit too eagerly) You're breaking up?
  • Phastos's son excitedly says that he's seen Ikaris on TV "with a cape shooting laser beams", calling him Superman. Ikaris indignantly says, "I don't wear a cape."
    • Phastos, who is annoyed by the reappearance of the Eternals, asks Ikaris if he should start calling him "Clark".
  • Phastos being a Deadpan Snarker with the equally-sassy Sprite.
Phastos: You know what's never saved the planet? Your sarcasm.
  • Ikaris deduces that Phastos has set up an impenetrable safe house and proves it by shooting his eye beams at a window that absorbs the blast. He carries on, suspecting that the table before them is made of vibranium. Ikaris is proven wrong when he smashes the table in half with his fist.
    Phastos: Fall collection. IKEA. Ass.
    • This joke hit a bit of Trailer Joke Decay but trailers excluded the cursing at the end. Phastos' emphatic delivery of the last word makes it funny even if you've seen the trailer a dozen times.
  • At a point during their time in Babylon, Druig mind-controls a group of men who were fighting. Makkari stops him, saying Ajak had forbidden them from interfering. Druig agrees... and then points out how Ajak also forbade stealing. He then holds up an artifact Makkari had stolen. An embarrassed Makkari quickly snatches it back and simply says that she'll keep quiet if he does as well. He says, "Deal..." and the two give playful head tilts and smiles at each other.
    • Also counts as a Moment of Heartwarming.
    • What he does with the mind-controlled people is also worth mentioning. He makes every single combatant slap himself twice, then all men go for a friendly, enthusiastic hug.
  • While walking through the hall of the ship, Phastos freaks out when Thena accidentally steps on a bag of chips.
Kingo: [to the camera] As you can see, being an Eternal does not preclude one from having human emotions...(glares at Phastos) such as cowardice.
  • Phastos' disgust at all the junk (actually priceless artifacts including Excalibur and the Emerald Tablet) Makkari has hoarded in his lab.
Phastos: What has she done? Is that a... sarcophagus in my lab?!
    • Just the fact that in seven thousand years their ship has gone from a sterile, cosmic and glorious flying brick... to a glorified attic filled with countless and random items of all sorts.
  • Despite living in a starship created by ancient alien gods, Makkari doesn't have a DVD player and has no idea what streaming or the Kindle is.
  • As they wander around the junk-filled lab, Druig finds a box of Twinkies and Ikaris finds the Emerald Tablet. They encounter each other. Cue a silent Beat and they wordlessly exchange their items. Ikaris takes out a Twinkie and walks offscreen, and Druig walks off with the Tablet to flirt with Makkari.
  • Phastos and Kingo giving grossed-out expressions as they watch Druig and Makkari flirt with each other.
Phastos: I'm sorry, what are we watching? Because this... are you...?
Kingo: Is this new? Because I hate it.
  • While trying to stop the Emergence, Sersi gets backstabbed by Sprite, who gives a Motive Rant about how she can't live a normal life due to physically being a child. During her lament, she's suddenly knocked out by Druig with a rock mid-speech. He then gives a dry comment about her dramatic lament. One has the feeling that Druig had listen Sprite's complains for so long that he's totally tired of her crap.
Sprite: We get to start over somewhere new-
Druig knocks her out with a rock
Druig: Well, that was very moving...
  • At the end of the movie, Sprite gets her fondest wish, becoming human so she can age and grow up. Then she gripes about having to go to school.
  • Thena demonstrates her powers for Phastos' son by summoning a spear to stab an orange on a shelf that he was trying to reach. Phastos has a mild freak-out and declares that she just lost all babysitting privileges, and tells his son that violence is never the answer. When the other Eternals tease him about his involvement in the final battle of the movie, Phastos claims that he didn't fight, but that he firmly told his enemy to stop.
  • Pip, the drunken gnome-like creature who heralds the brother of Thanos, Eros a.k.a. Starfox. Eros even has to correct him when he botches one of the details of his big introductory speech.
  • Dane psychs himself up to take the Ebony Blade, only to recoil and hop back several feet.
