The sheer scale is unrivalled!
  • The opening Vanity Plate of the film features images of Celestials from Jack Kirby's comics, a fitting homage to how his work inspired this movie, as well as highlighting how Kirby's importance as a comics creator has been re-appraised and better acknowledged in recent years.
  • The sheer cosmic scale in this film goes beyond even what Thanos and Ego attempted. This film debuts the Celestials, the gods to the gods. The Celestials themselves look fantastic, like Jack Kirby's artwork brought to vivid life.
  • The Eternals' technology is unlike anything previously seen in the MCU: golden geometric sigils across solid obsidian, giving an ageless but alien look.
  • Gilgamesh delivering the mother of all uppercuts to a dinosaur-sized Deviant, like some sort of celestial Mike Tyson.
  • Sersi transmutes a bus into rose petals.
    • More amazing, however, is the scene where she defeats a Deviant by turning it into a tree! What's more, is that she doesn't even know how she did it and the scene was so surprising yet awesome to see.
  • Druig's mind-control powers are not the most directly confrontational, but after the other Eternals get him to stop using his followers as an army, he quickly and easily improvises. He grabs a shotgun, leaps onto a Deviant, and proceeds to drive it back with solid efficiency, showing he's not helpless without his powers and can hold his own in simple combat.
  • During the Amazon battle, Kro can't land a single hit on Gilgamesh, and resorts to attacking Thena, whom Kro knows through Ajak's memories that Gilgamesh will protect at all costs, to get the upper hand. The fact that the Deviant has to use underhanded means to fell Gilgamesh speaks volumes about the latter's strength; had this been an honest fight, Kro would've bitten the dust way earlier in the movie.
  • Makkari circles the entire planet in the time span of a few minutes to locate the point of emergence for the Celestial Tiamut.
  • The attempted birth of Tiamut, with the Celestial's absolutely massive form slowly rising out of the Indian Ocean. When you realize the cloud-capped, mountain-sized block of gold emerging from the sea is just one of Tiamut's fingers, you get an amazing sense of the sheer mythic scale of the Celestial. Later on, after Tiamut has been turned to stone, there's a shot of its half-submerged head and fingers, so large you can see they're in the clouds, and the curve of the Earth to show just what a major new landmark has been added to the world.
  • Phastos takes a turn in beating Ikaris by chaining him up with his powers and walloping on him for a good chunk of time before Ikaris forces himself out of the chains.
  • It's testament to how darkly awesome Ikaris is that most of his other Eternals' most impressive acts are performed against him, in a single fight, and they barely even scratch him. Druig? Utterly helpless before Ikaris. Thena's blades? Casual Barehanded Blade Block followed by a very one-sided fight. Makkari's Super-Speed No-Holds-Barred Beatdown? Only lasts until he manages to catch her out and doesn't do any visible damage (which is impressive, since the start is dragging his face through rock at mach speeds). Phastos' restraints? They hold him and Phastos pummels him... until he eventually breaks out with a roar of rage and a shockwave that sends Phastos flying. Much of the fight is the other Eternals doing their level best to hold off Ikaris and barely slowing him down. Ikaris just will. Not. Stop. Until, that is, faced with Sersi, who he can't bear to hurt.
  • Thena gets to avenge Gilgamesh's death by dicing Kro into pieces so quickly, the Deviant didn't even have time to react while still trying to drain Thena's powers.
  • Arishem the Judge makes a proper appearance at the end of the film, and boy does he ever impress; his mere presence splits the clouds from the sky, and he effortlessly yanks the remaining Eternals on Earth all the way to space in a second. He then lets them know he will judge humanity based on their memories to see if Earth's survival truly was worth the death of a new Celestial, before disappearing with them through a black hole. The scene happening so abruptly is a humbling reminder of the sheer scope and might of a Celestial, and a taste of things to come in the Multiverse Saga.
Arishem: You have to chosen to sacrifice a Celestial. For the people of this planet. I will spare them, but your memories will show if they are worthy to live. And I will return... for judgement.
  • In a testament of how far Earth's population has come in the last 15 years in-universe, people are barely surprised seeing humongous multi-eyed humanoid aliens showing up in Earth's orbit and from underground and treated the news like a normal thing. A long journey since when Tony Stark revealing himself as Iron Man was treated as one of the biggest news stories of all time.
  • The second Stinger shows Dane unboxing the Ebony Blade to try and save Sersi. He seems to be struggling with the spirit of the sword until a voice stops him. Those who recognize the voice (and follow MCU casting news) should realize what's coming; because some motherfuckers are always trying to ice-skate uphill.
