Funny / Dark City (1998)

• A lower class husband spends dinner complaining about his boss. Then things get changed to him being the boss, and he complains about his employees. Better yet, the complained-about boss and the complained-about employee have the same name, implying that the two of them just plain don't like each other and their working relationship is just an excuse for the husband to vent about the guy.
• While Schreber is being bullied by Mr. Book:
  Schreber: Maybe you've finally found what you're looking for, and it's going to bite you on your — aahh!!
• Even though Dr. Schreber has assisted the heroes by this point, John still has a dark little smirk when he destroys his metal constraining device and causes him to fall flat on the floor.
• The part of the psychic battle where John and Mr. Book lock psychokinetic force fields by leaning towards each other and screaming made for an image that was both badass and absolutely hilarious.
• John is at the automat trying to find out when was the last time he was there, and keeps getting a roundabout answer.
