  • Cerea is about to meet the leaders of a nation. "Somewhere within Cerea's mind, a number of story-taught vocabulary switches flipped over to ARMED."
    • The end result of which?
Luna: "Moon's craters! Centaur, I realize you have only the most passing acquaintance with me, and so have no means of recognizing any irony regarding the source of what is said next. But regardless, it will be said. Your speech is overly, ridiculously, painfully formal. Please reacquaint yourself with the concept of contractions. Immediately."
  • Another major gap in the skirt indicated where the second pocket had once been, and that was actually more distressing. She was supposed to carry her identification at all times: this was partially to prove her legal temporary residency on demand, and the rest was apparently because Japan had decided it was possible for some of its citizens to confuse a centaur with something else. (Cerea had first presumed that no one could be that stupid and, after gaining some experience, had revised that to 'Anyone that stupid isn't going to be convinced by identification anyway.')
  • Sunburst exists in this Verse. Why is he not involved in events, despite being a magic expert?
"— I would prefer the services of a party who possesses the potential to be in this corridor while conscious," the Princess sharply cut in. "That one has a difficult enough time dealing with the world beyond his chart-cluttered window: asking him to step into a wild zone would result in my levitating his fallen form along until he once again awoke, likely just long enough to perceive that I had not been bluffing about bringing him regardless." This snort was decidedly louder. "Should I make the decision to involve him, Bulkhead, you will know through the room I dedicate to his excess notes and the padding layered onto the floor, as falling onto said notes seldom protects him during subsequent faints."
  • Elephants.
"...you're still not telling me where you got the elephants."
    "Correct."
    "Because?"
"Because I am fairly certain you would still be angry. Additionally, our relationship with the majority of zebra kraals is currently stable, I can think of at least one subsection of Pundamilia Makazi where the statute of limitations will never run out, it has been eleven hundred and four years since the last time I was sentenced to death, and I would like to maintain that streak. Are you hungry?"
  • The entirety of Chapter Eleven qualifies.
    • Crossing Guard is introduced to Cerea (after Luna lightly trolls him all the way to the door) and immediately realizes that he's been brought in to process her as an immigrant — making him at least partially responsible for her welfare.
(Crossing tries to walk through Luna, who picks him up and spins him around while he's still trying to get away.)
    Crossing:"NO."
    • There has been historical... difficulties in finding somepony who can clothe the Princesses.
    • Cerea goes in for a bra fitting. Unwillingly.
Luna: "You are fortunate, in that I am rather uniquely qualified to recognize a phobic reaction. Even when it manifests in the body of a centaur. The commonalities help, of course. The rearing back, the attempt to pivot on a single hoof, the desperate blind gallop for any available exit... clearly a phobia in play. As I explained to Corsetiere Garter, at least once the screams had stopped. The majority of which were yours."
  • Cerea in etiquette lessons.
  • The first half of her meeting with Crossing Guard is also a barrel of laughs, as Cerea tries to explain the events of Monster Musume to a complete outsider.
Crossing Guard: "I'd normally say we had an advantage here, since it's apparently impossible for anypony to contact your homeland and check any of this, but it also means I'm relying on you to be completely honest with me."
    Cerea: "I'm trying —"
Crossing Guard: "— I believe you. Some of what you've been saying is too embarrassing for anyone to just make up."
  • "Okay, asshole: I'll take it from here!" is considered one of these in-universe.
Newspaper Article After the Fact:"The natural linguistic consequence of spending so much time around Guards."
  • "-- no, no, no," the little knight frantically whispered. "He's supposed to be gone! We all turned up at the retirement just to make sure! He can't be, he just can't --"
    • Oh Emery.
Emery: "I CANNOT HEAR YOU! SOUND OFF LIKE YOU'VE GOT A PAIR!"
    Cerea: "I'm — I don't have —"
Emery:"I AM LOOKING DIRECTLY AT THEM! THEY ARE RATHER HARD TO MISS! I AM ASSUMING THAT HAVING ALL THAT WEIGHT OVER THE RIB CAGE EXERTS SOME PRESSURE ON THE LUNGS, AND SO AIR CAN BE EXPELLED ALL THE FASTER! SOUND OFF! AND GET BACK IN THERE!"
    • And yes, even when he teaches a class of one, his students still dream of killing him.
  • The Princesses have difficulties in getting rid of art. Still.
    • "Сюжет принцеси," Luna expertly pronounced."Or, in Equestrian... The Plot Of The Princess."
    • They both looked at the pair of carefully shaped, rounded boulders, each of which was two full body lengths across. And the wooden bit. Once you recognized what it truly was, you never really stopped seeing the wooden bit.
    • "Rendered in the actual proportions."
  • Cerea's reaction to discovering that the lack of anything truly resembling human agriculture means that she can actually eat meat native to Menajeria. She goes from her usual guilty/horrified reaction about the reception this will get from the ponies around her, to craving to try the "local cuisine", to openly striking up a friendship with Sizzler and looking forward to enjoying a diet that no centaur has enjoyed in decades. For icing on the cake, she even takes a moment to gloat that her new and improved diet may allow her to finally one-up her mother, since better nutrients means a bigger bust.
  • Hearing invaders moving through the tunnels ahead of them in chapter 88, Emery notes that they need a distraction. Cue Cerea stepping up and using her talents for vocal mimicry to replicate Tirek's voice whilst quoting Sinistar at the top of "his" lungs. It works like a charm.
Cerea: "BEWARE! I LIVE! I HUNGER! RUN, COWARDS!"
  • Chapter 91; Nightwatch's... "cultural shock"... after getting, shall we say, a hooves-on lesson in physical closeness to an individual with permanent breasts.
Nightwatch: "...I think they nuzzle back..."
  • Barding becomes the first pony to openly celebrate Cerea's manifestation of a mark. He... just doesn't recognize what the icon of a sword superimposed over Moon is actually for.
    "LUNAR SHIFT BLACKSMITH!"
