As is the case with all pages detailing Funny Moments, Spoilers Off
Even with the heartbreak, there's still quite a lot of room for comedic moments.
- Celeste realizes that with Makoto being the main character during their introductions, they can find out what he thought of them when they first met him. Makoto seeing his First-Person Smartass come to the surface really embarrasses the poor kid, having to apologize for the numerous embarrassing thoughts he had. These would include:
- Calling Taka annoying.
- Comparing Sayaka to a doll.
- His reaction to Leon's appearance.
- His desire to not understand Hifumi's meaning.
- Him bringing up Aoi's breasts. He's very quick to assure Sakura that he himself never actually talked about them on the sites he read up on. Sakura believes him but insists that he give her the sites so that she can see what other people have been saying about Aoi.
- Complimenting Sakura for winning despite being a girl.
- The Running Gag of Leon having his own Pervert Revenge Mode for Hifumi, throwing baseballs at the Ultimate Fanfic Creator should he get out of control. When Toko starts having her own fantasies, he wonders if he has to do the same thing. While Toko briefly snaps at him, a slow rise of a baseball quickly gets her to rapidly stammer apologies.
- When THH!Makoto tries to trip up his Kyoko by abruptly telling her she has a cute smile, everyone freezes up at the out-of-character remark, with real!Kyoko (unlike her counterpart) needing to hide a slight blush. When she realizes what her other self is planning, however, she (unnoticed by the rest of the viewers) gets a huge smug grin on her face.
- THH!Kyoko being forced to admit she overreacted to Makoto keeping Sakura being a traitor secret leads real!Kyoko to become a laughing stock.
- Leon and Junko break out massive smiles.
- Celeste and Byakuya each smirk at Kyoko being forced to admit her faults.
- Kyoko is visibly embarrassed, giving a Luminescent Blush.
- Hina and Chihiro giggle while Sakura simply smiles.
- Innocently Insensitive as always, Taka gives a genuine praise of Kyoko admitting her faults, while Mondo "agrees" with him, giving a Grin of Audacity.
- Sayaka commenting on Kyoko eating Humble Pie, asking if she should have a bigger slice next time.
- Not even Makoto is immune as he tries to get them to stop laughing, calling Kyoko's embarrassed reaction cute.
- The already hilarious Think of the Censors! moment from the original game is handled by cutting to the class's reaction to Monokuma's words, which from their perspective were not censored.THH!Monokuma: "What were you and Kyoko up to? Going to the bathhouse? Just the two of you? In the middle of the night? Definitely a hot and steamy moment, wouldn't you say?! So warm and wet, so wet and warm… I bet you guys-"
[The things Monokuma said… it brought about flushed faces in many of the students. Hina, Chihiro, and Sayaka were some of the worst off, all three of them cherry red and covering their faces. Leon and Mondo weren't too far off, whereas those like Byakuya and Celeste merely held blank looks.]
[And Makoto… his head was literally steaming as the bear described, in detail, what he thought went on in there. Or what he imagined happened.]
THH!Monokuma: "-all over her, didn't you?!"
Hina: ...Wh-Wha… I just… huh… uh… [Hina felt her head sway dizzily as she attempted to make any sort of response to things said.]
Taka: And he calls himself a headmaster?! No headmaster would say even a fraction of the things Monokuma described!
Leon: [shuddering] And I thought Toko had an imagination…
Hifumi: [drooling over the vivid description] Indeed, Mr. Kuwata…
Sayaka: Muuu… [Thoughts of Makoto doing those things to her unwillingly being played in her mind.]
Makoto: ... [Makoto could only continue to cover his face as he attempted to battle against his imagination. Trying extremely hard not to think of any of the things the mastermind claimed he and Kyoko were doing.]
Kyoko: ... [Kyoko, on the other hand, kept her emotions in check and no embarrassment showed across her face. However, she kept her eyes away from Makoto, aware that any of the descriptions could cross her mind at any time if she looked at the lucky student.]
THH!Makoto: "..." - Right after the masked person tried to attack Makoto, the fic includes a scene exclusive to the anime: Makoto's shower scene! The responses are as expected:Mondo: [bursts out laughing] We're watching the dude shower now?!
Leon: [turns his head away from the screen] Nope! Nope! Nu-uh! That's an image I don't need in my head!
Taka: [outraged] What is with these explicit scenes?! [standing up and chopping his hands rapidly.] This kind of material is not welcome in a school environment!
Byakuya ... [Byajuya merely had an unamused look across his face.]
Hifumi: Is this a fanservice scene for our female audience, I wonder? [turns his attention towards the females in question.]
[Said female audience, specifically those crushes on the naked boy on screen... found themselves a tad overwhelmed. Both Hina and Sayaka found themselves beet red once again; Mukuro also had an atomic blush, her stoic look completely vanishing; even Kyoko and Celeste lost their composure, eyes opened in shock and small blushes coming across their own cheeks.]
Junko: [mildly caught off guard by the luckster's physique.] Huh. Looks like our little herbivore man is more carnivorous than previously thought.
[And as for the unfortunate lucky student... he was beet red. Steaming. Completely mortified by the viewing... exposing him for his classmates to see.]
Kyoko: [small cough, trying to take her mind (And eyes) off the shower scene. Keyword, try.] It... seems as though Makoto doesn't remember... what's been said... Or just... understand what was meant...
Celeste: [making no attempt to move her eyes away from the screen.] Not surprising, with the amnesia and all...
Hina: A-Are you really that buff Makoto...? [Hina didn't even bother to focus on Makoto's thoughts. Her focus was currently on covering her eyes (Though there was a small gap that made such covering pointless).] Sakura... didn't you say that he was average in build?
Sakura: [nods, scrutinizing the showering future Makoto. For reasons different from the majority of her female classmates.] I did... My guess is that his hoodie hides his physique, even with physical inspection...
Junko: [giggling] Don't forget his small size...
Mukuro: ... [The Ultimate Soldier was unable to say anything, feeling overwhelmed by the sight of a naked Makoto.]
Chihiro: [smiling widely] So he really is strong! I knew you were strong, Makoto! I just knew it!
Sayaka: Yeah, he really does look... strong... [Sayaka gulped, finding herself unable to look away from the scene; the very pleasing scene. In her ogling, her hold on Makoto's arm slackened significantly.]
Makoto: ... [Once again, Makoto buried his face into his hand, embarrassed beyond words.] Why me...?
Kyoko: [masking her flusteredness with amusement] Well, you did peep on us girls in the third chapter... Consider this your overdue punishment for your misdeed...
[The luckster could only groan in response, prompting a giggle from the detective.]
[Toko, meanwhile, looked just as unamused as Byakuya; the writer grumbling about wanting to see her master showering instead.]
