  • In a rejected strip, a professor told everyone to take off their hats in college. Beetle took off his, revealing his Black Bead Eyes. The professor told him to put it back on.

Funny moments for the 1960s King Features Animated Adaptation:

  • Private Zero plays on the Sarge's inflated stomach like an organ during the dream in "Sgt. Snorkel's Longest Day". Also, he bounces on it like a trampoline.
  • Bunny kissed Beetle, causing him to fly off into space like a rocket ship with his helmet on and is hanging in orbit on the Moon.
  • Beetle tells the other soldiers that he's got a little lady with him. When he introduced Mathilde to them, they find out she's an animal and not really a human lady. They prepare to beat him up for that, but they get trampled by Mathilde before they could (destroying the beds and jumped out the window).
  • After General Billibong and Mathilde hopped over to the plane on their way back to Australia, the plane bounces away in a kangaroo-like fashion and started to take off.
  • Beetle tells the fortune to his friends that beetles are bad luck and now they think he's a beetle. Hilarity Ensues.
  • At the end of "The Jinx", he breaks the fourth wall by popping from the TV, saying, "This is the end, friends!".

Funny moments for the 1980s Television Special:

  • From the fax machine, comes a letter from the group of generals at the Pentagon. It is revealed that Snorkel is the one who needs training and not Beetle. Hilarity ensues with Beetle in charge of training.
