• When Marco starts to wander off to class after his attempt to bully Miles is foiled.
  Miles: Oh no way! You know that there are twenty-four hours in a day? You must be evolving!
  • Throughout the entire bullying scene. Miles is completely unafraid of him and snarking, even criticizing Marco for putting him in a locker as unoriginal.
• While discussing the Order of the Bear's prophecy. Allie and Miles get a dig in on the educational system.
  Allie's Mother: Mordred and his followers will send us back into the Dark Ages - ignorance, humiliation, suffering...
  Miles: (knowingly) ...High School.
• "When I'm at Yale and you're in jail, I'll be sure to tell everyone how cool you are."
  • Another zinger, curtesy of Miles:
  "And I'm a National Merit Scholar. I don't kidnap teachers. I suck up to them."
• Allie and Miles, discussing whether or not they should tell Will that he's the reincarnation of King Arthur, and that Marco may be out to get him.
  Allie: We have to tell Will so he can defend himself.
  Miles: Oh, yeah, that'll be great. "Hey, Will, you're the reincarnation of King Arthur, your stepbrother is Mordred, and he's going to try and destroy you. You gonna eat those fries?"
  Allie: Hmm. Yeah, it's a little out there, isn't it?
  Miles: Yeah, we passed "out there" about five exits back.
• After the battle, when Allie shows clear discomfort when Marco bows to her.
• Allie asking Miles if he's had a vision of what will happen at the Big Game:
  Allie: Any chance you're getting a vision of how it goes?
  Miles: (deadpan) Am I doubled over, clutching my head in excruciating pain?
  Allie: No.
  Miles: Well, there you go, then.
