• The prologue exists as both a recap page and a short Flash video, the latter of which also animates some of Aki's drawings to go with her narration.
  • "Mama and Papa were awesome warriors!" over a drawing of Units 01, 02, and 00 all kicking Sachiel while it's down.
  • "But then some weird stuff happened…" over a drawing of the "giant Rei" during End of Evangelion comes off as innocently and morbidly hilarious.
  • Aki and Rei maneuvering away from the Final Battle was a tense affair in TST. The video sees the pair literally walking over the mountain and out of sight, just as the Mass-Pro Evas fly over that mountain to their doo—er, the final battle a second later.
• Shinji and Asuka's reaction when Ritsuko suggests taking a blood sample from Aki. Who knew that Shinji could pull off a Death Glare?
• Aki doing Gendo's memetic pose on the cover of chapter 2. While barefoot.
• To quote one of the commenters, this is the single best representation of GNR ever.
• Kodama notices Aki up in a tree, about to fall. Kodoma runs to catch her. Kodama faceplants. Aki lands on her feet without a scratch.
• Toji and Hikari's reactions to: A.) a little girl who looks a lot like Asuka and Shinji answering the door, and B.) Rei smiling.
• Due to being given The Talk by a reluctant Shinji, Aki thinks that Kaji made Misato eat a baby to get her pregnant. Aki also hits Kaji before running over to Misato, trying to talk to the latter's tummy. Asuka immediately regrets delegating the task to Shinji.
  Aki: (to Misato's tummy) Hello~? Are you OK in there?
  Asuka: Aki, what…?
  Aki: (to Asuka; pointing at Misato's tummy) Papa says Mr. Kaji put a baby in there!
  Misato: Aki, I don't think that's what he…
  Aki: (to Misato) Did it hurt? He didn't make you eat it, did he?
  (Asuka face-palms)
  • After Asuka explains that Aki was in Asuka's belly, Aki begins asking if other people were in their mother's belly.
    Aki: And Rei was...?
    Asuka: W-well...
• Pen-Pen, meet Aki's friends. Yes, squawking and fleeing is indeed the proper reaction. Also, while he's very unhappy when Aki grabs him, the instant she asks "Now, who wants cake?", he raises his flipper and joins the kids in pounding the table and chanting (Wark! Wark! Wark!)
  • To say nothing of how Pen-Pen got his fear of Aki in the first place:
    "Fly, birdie!"
• One of the friends of Aki is a Kensuke fanboy. Yes, you read that right. Aida-sama... My insides...
  • The reason the kid is a Kensuke fanboy? He got the kid's big brother the best pics ever, and he wants to learn from him.
    Shinji: Eh...he may not have meant what you think...
    Asuka: That little...
• Aki spits down the massive elevator shaft in an attempt to judge how far down it goes. Initially scolded by Shinji, Asuka lets her off, reckoning the chances of her spit hitting someone are minute. Cut to a janitor having a break at the bottom of the shaft, where Aki's spit-ball lands in his drink, to the janitor's resigned annoyance. Apparently, it's not the first time it's happened to him.
• While doing a DNA test on Aki, Ritsuko says that they can now prove whether or not Asuka really did become a virgin mother... except that Shinji and Asuka had sex prior to the Final Battle in The Second Try.
  Asuka: YOU IDIOT! LOOK AT WHAT CHANCE YOU TOOK FROM ME AND AKI!
  Shinji: Hey, you were the one who started... Besides, such implications would have only meant unnecessary trouble anyway...
  Misato: Not sure if I want to know...
• Hikari is not pleased to learn that Shinji and Asuka are engaged—she and Toji were supposed to get married first!
  • Asuka completely forgot to take off her engagement ring.
• After Toji gave Aki a hat his mother gave him, Hikari alternates between squeeing over how adorable it was, thinking that he'll be a great father, trying not to think that far ahead, and enraged that he would encourage going against the dress code.
• At the airport, Aki gets a cute smug I’m-right-your-wrong look when she manages to get one up on her parents when the check-in lady says that they need to see their passports too.
  • Also funny is Shinji and Asuka are wondering how Misato managed to get a passport for Aki when she doesn’t have any real legal identity due to being a time traveler. They also imagine Misato as a dark silhouette lording over them quoting “Your Souls Are Mine!!”.
• While going through the airport security, Aki see the X-ray baggage scanner and like any kid her age gets the idea to go through it herself. Shinji and Asuka’s response to the idea is to shake their heads "no".
  • This comes up again only for Aki to want to try and ride on the baggage carousel upon arriving at the German airport with the same head shake no response.
  • Aki's reaction to the flight itself: amazement and awe, followed by that awe fading into boredom. Efforts Aki makes to alleviate the boredom usually result in her getting scolded.
• Shinji's so used to trains being on time in Japan that, in Germany, he panics when he sees the train schedule. Asuka has to make it clear that they don't have to worry about that.
• As the family rides the train, Asuka mentions to Aki that in some regions of Germany, there are people who speak German with an accent. Aki immediately asks, "Like Papa?" eliciting a defensive "Hey!" from Shinji, who speaks German to show that he's getting better at it. Cue Asuka and Aki giggling while Shinji cutely scowls.
• After arriving in Germany, Asuka spots a restaurant she frequented before moving to Japan and orders currywurst for everyone. Aki sneaks some of Asuka's (much spicier) currywurst while Asuka is talking to the owner... and immediately regrets it.
• Asuka's father and stepmother meet Shinji and Aki for the first time, the realization that Asuka has a husband and a child knocking them flat on their backs.
  Aki: (gleefully holding a mooning garden gnome ornament; to Asuka) "Look, Mama! The gnome shows his butt!"
  THUD.
• Aki’s grumpy look when Asuka is covering her ears to prevent her from hearing Shinji explain their whole situation to Asuka’s father and stepmother.
• Aki and Asuka making silly faces at each other is as funny as it is heartwarming.
• When Asuka and her stepmother Anja finished their heart to heart talk, Aki looks back at them with a mouthful of cookies when she was mentioned.
