Unmarked spoilers for Unfiltered and Wings of Rebellion.

Fridge Brilliance:

  • When Joker and Crow talk about the Wild Card powers and Confidants. She says she's maxed out a few Confidants at this point already. We are later shown that Yusuke won an art competition with his piece, "Desire and Hope", which he makes at Rank 10 of Emperor.
  • Akira being terrible at driving doesn't seem to make that much sense considering no one complains about Joker's driving in the game...until Akechi says he thinks that Akira takes after both of her parents, not just her mother who she bears more obvious similarities too. And earlier in the fic, Akira says her father is clumsy. Meaning Akira is terrible at driving because she got her father's clumsiness. This is even further proven when her aim is show to not be as precise as Crow's later in the fic.
  • In the games, it's shown that Akechi can change his Metaverse appearance. As such, even though he doesn't do anything as drastic as changing his entire outfit, it's no wonder he can make rollerblades of his boots to travel around faster and a casing around his phone so the Thieves don't recognize it.
  • Akira and Akechi's shared dreams start after the fight with the twins, when Akira looks into his heart. The reason they didn't have a dream right after she does that was because Akechi was already awake by then.
  • Subtle, but when the Thieves are guessing what Akechi's Persona might be, Ann thinks that since Arsène is Akira's Persona, Akechi's might be Herlock Sholmes. Why would she think that Akechi's Persona might be related to Akira's? Because she ships them.
  • Akira calls Akechi her "chess knight" when he doesn't like being called a prince. Not only does it fit with his Black Knight theme and liking of chess, but the knight piece moves in an "L", as in an unpredictable way, which not only fits his status as a Wild Card, but also in that his Heel–Face Turn was unexpected.
  • Akechi is shown to have attempted suicide. At first one would think he would try again if he really wanted to die, but he didn't. That means something changed his mind to at least live long enough to exact his revenge. That something was Apathy Syndrome and it being cured by the end of Persona 3. As Akechi himself noticed, he wanted to survive after he had it, instead of just simply dying.
