It might seem rather unusual that Suga Mama doesn’t harbor any prejudice against Barry and Randall considering she likely grew up in a time of immense, institutionalized homophobia and bigotry against people who weren't heterosexual. But, it’s worth noting the time she grew up in was also one where racism against colored persons was heavily institutionalized. That being said, Suga Mama would know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of bigotry, so Oscar showing that kind of prejudice towards the idea of having two dads isn’t any different and struck a nerve in her. Also, it was Oscar doing it.
