At the end, we're treated to a flashback of the reason why Harmonica wants vengeance against Frank; when Harmonica was a boy, Frank killed his older brother by hanging, cruelly forced Harmonica to support his brother while he was hanging, and then shoved a harmonica in his mouth while he was panting for breath to taunt him. Frank, however, doesn't remember any of this. Which naturally begs the question: exactly how much horrific stuff has Frank done over his life that he's capable of forgetting such an act?
