Fridge Brilliance

  • Mao Mao seems fine with Adorabat touching him, but always slaps off Badgerclops's hands. This could be because he grew up with five older sisters; he's probably more used to touching (and being touched by) girls.
    • It could also be for the opposite reason, he doesn't like larger people touching him because it reminds him of his older sisters while he's more ok with Adorabat because he feels like the older sibling now.
    • Also, it could be he's uncomfortable with being touched by Badgerclops because the only other male character is his father, who's not that close to him.
  • It makes sense why Mao Mao is so good at disguising as Adorabat in "Outfoxed" considering that his old partner Tanya Keys is also a master in disguising and tricking her opponents.
  • Why is Adorabat so bloodthirsty, compared to the other Sweetie Pies? It's because she's a vampire bat!
  • Why does Pure Heart Valley have smartphones and iPads, but seventies-era televisions? Well, compare the amount of time you spend on your phone to the time you spend watching TV!
  • In "Trading Day", Mao Mao tries on a spare arm of Badgerclops' and writhes in pain when it connects itself to his nerve endings. Not only does this allow him to use the arm with ease, but it also explains why Badgerclops can feel pain in his mechanical arm in the first place.
  • Pinky enjoys being smothered with greasy substances like butter and mayonnaise. This can be passed off as him being a disgusting little gremlin, but it could also be because, as a rhino, it may be his only method of keeping himself cool.
  • One of Mao Mao's anncestors has 4 nipples. Truth in Television strikes again, since most cats have 6 nipples, or even 8 or 10, as well as those with as little as 4(or the other two were hidden by his mawashi).
  • Despite her Troubling Unchildlike Behavior, Adorabat is basically The Heart of the trio(Badgerclops even mistook her for his conscience?). She also happens to have a heart on her chest.
  • Besides making Mao Mao suffer for one episode, it does make sense for King Snugglemagne to have biweekly seafood and dairy dinners—cats enjoy both immensely, and lions like Snugglemagne are just big cats.

Fridge Horror

  • In "Breakup," Badgerclops' account of his first time meeting Mao Mao depicts Mao Mao as a disheveled, lonely, ragged and possibly insane hobo. But if you listen closely, you hear Mao Mao gibbering and ranting about Bao Bao, the "traitorous dog." Which means that this event took place just after Mao Mao lost his best friend, had his tail horribly crushed, AND likely had to cut it off himself to get free. It's no wonder he looks so haggard.
  • Also in "Breakup," after Mao Mao's second flashback of how he and Badgerclops first met, he imagines BC as a crying baby. Badgerclops angrily yells "there were no diapers involved that time!" Given his defensive tone of voice, it makes you wonder what Badgerclops' interests are behind closed doors.
  • In "Small," Mao Mao's family's surname is confirmed to be "Mao," meaning his full name is literally "Mao Mao Mao." While this seems funny at first, this could also be seen as another sign of his dad's Parental Neglect; Shin Mao was so indifferent towards his son, he never even gave him a proper name.
  • If the Ruby Pure Heart can grant the wishes of the Sky Pirates as seen in "Orangusnake Begins", who is to say that it also can grant the wishes of other evil people as well as good? Makes you wonder if it can give more powers to the Sky Pirates, the Thicket Thieves or even the Monsters that attack the Pure Heart Valley Kingdom.
  • In an old photo with his brother Gerald, Badgerclops had a normal, flesh-and-blood right arm as a child, but still had an eyepatch. How and when did he lose his arm? And how did he lose an eye at such a young age?!
  • In "Meet Tanya Keys," Tanya holds up a poster of the Thicket Thieves, with all members except Badgerclops crossed out in red. This could either mean that she captured them and simply turned them in, or that she is simply not afraid to straight-up kill her targets.
  • Adorabat is seen with a yellow peg-leg and the only Sweetiepie to have a prosthetic limb of some kind, which is never explained. Was she so eager to be a hero that she lost a leg while trying to act like one? In "Adoradad" we see Adorabat in flashbacks with her still alive back then but presently deceased mother Sonara, they were exploring a cave when they got attacked by a Vicious Cave Dragon, it is possible that this mysterious cave drgaon is what killed Sonara and took Adorabat's right leg.
  • Badgerclops is very passionate about food and is quick to anger whenever food is wasted or denied to him. It may be that he's just got a big appetite, or that he may actually have an eating disorder, borderline personality disorder or both.
  • Why does Mao Mao have so many neoprene suits of various Sweetie Pies at HQ?!
  • In "Trading Day", Badgerclops tries to walk a mile in Adorabats' shoes and attends kindergarten as a student without anyone batting an eye. Sweetie Pies are apparently so sheltered that they see no risk in letting a grown man attend kindergarten.
  • Time and production constraints aside, why is it that there is a village worth of Sweetie Pies in a kingdom as massive as Pure Heart Valley?
  • In "Outfoxed", the Special Men sell fake "flying powder" to Sweetie Pies, telling them that all it takes is for them to "flap [their] arms and believe." Rufus and Reggie were trying to trick their customers into killing themselves.
  • Badgerclops, despite being the most laid-back member of the team, is very prone to emotional outbursts and, as seen in "The Truth Stinks", "Sweet Berry Fever" and implied in "Captured Clops", these meltdowns can get violent. Keep in mind that he also wields more than enough firepower in his arm to level an entire city block. So what would happen to Mao Mao, Adorabat and Pure Heart Valley if something really triggered him?
  • Who was Pure Heart Valley's law enforcement before Mao Mao and Badgerclops showed up? Did they even have police to begin with? If they did, what happened to them?
  • In "Orangusnake Begins", The Ruby Pure Heart grants Orangusnake's wish and turns the Sky Pirates' ship into a giant robot so he can kill Mao Mao and company. Why would the Ruby do such a thing? And how?! Does this mean that, not only is the Ruby Pure Heart sentient, is it trying to protect the kingdom from the very people put in charge to keep it safe?!
  • Near the end of "Scared of Puppets," it's made clear that Mao Mao having trouble admitting he's scared has a lot to do with Shin Mao drilling into his head that "heroes aren't afraid." Though Shin Mao did realize the error of his ways in "Small," this episode serves as a reminder that his behavior throughout Mao Mao's childhood has done a number on his son's mental state.
  • "Zing Your Heart Out" reveals that Pinky outright hates himself. Considering how nonchalant he is about nearly falling to his death in "Outfoxed" and outright thrilled he is by an imminent aerosol explosion in "Scared of Puppets", Pinky may actually be suicidal from how alienating he is to everyone around him.
  • Near the end of the episode "Strange Bedfellows", Slim Pigguns says, while on the phone, "Well, it's the third job I've had in a month. What? I hope I don't lose this one." How many jobs has he had in general? How many did he have BEFORE the Pure Heart cracked? What caused him to lose all of his other jobs!?
  • Adorabat takes sadistic glee in fighting monsters and ruining the lives of criminals. In "Adoradad", she even says that she loves to beat up monsters until their own parents can't recognize them. Combine this with her fascination with fire, her bone collection and her routine combat training and you begin to realize that Mao Mao and Badgerclops might be raising a future serial killer. One that can fly and squeeze through very small spaces.
  • When Badgerclops goes into "ultrafocus", his inventions are entirely random and oftentimes destructive. And he loses all memory of what he builds after his hyperfixation dies down. If he built something truly lethal, he would have no way of knowing what he made or where he put it. For all we know, Pure Heart Valley might be booby-trapped in its entirety.
