Awesome / Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart

• The "Manners Battle" between King Snugglemagne and Boss Hostrich is played for laughs due to the ridiculous premise, yet still framed and presented as an epic anime fight scene, and it's pretty friggin' glorious.
• A villainous example in "Bobo Chan" - the Sky Pirates capture Badgerclops, Mao Mao and Adorabat, deciding to kill our heroes by throwing them over the cliff. They even disable Badgerclop's metal arm and tie Adorabat’s wings together so she cannot fly! Badgerclops gets rescued by Bobo Chan that he raised earlier causing the Sky Pirates to be defeated, but if he did not, our heroes would have been goners and the Sky Pirates would have won. This is the closest the Sky Pirates ever came to winning.
• The battle between Mao Mao and the Shadow Dragon from "Small", after Shin Mao is knocked out of his Powered Armor. An awesome, beautifully animated fight that is played perfectly straight, without a joke in sight. Doubles as a Heartwarming moment as Shin Mao sheds a tear and finally shows some pride in his son after years of Parental Neglect.
• In “Flyaway”, Adorabat managing to transcend her spirit, all while Mao Mao and Badgerclops were arguing.
  • Then, much later, when the Monster of the Week shows up, Adorabat tries to go back to the real world to help Mao Mao and Badgerclops, but Meditatin' Melvin tries to stop her, saying that she doesn't have to go to the dentist. Adorabat responds with this:
    Adorabat: You're right. I don't. But if I run away from the things I don't like, then I'll miss out on the things I do like. So I want to go back, even if it means going to the dentist. Now, get out of my way before I mess you up!
  • And not long after, Adorabat, realizing it's near impossible to escape the Astral Plane, decides to focus, encountering the Astral Smoke Monster she escaped from earlier. Realizing it would be over and that she would get a cool toy, she manages to use the toy that materializes to drag the Astral Smoke Monster over to her and proceeds to eat the Astral Smoke Monster whole.
    Adorabat: My fear makes me...stronGEEEEEEEERRRRR!!!
  • After getting back to the real world, Adorabat uses a spear to pop the balloons near the Bat Monster's six ears, causing damage to it before Adorabat smacks the piñata into the monster, giving Mao Mao time to strike it, and Badgerclops has Adorabat go into his arm cannon to shoot her out of it to finally take down the Bat Monster.
• "Lonely Kid", 5 year old Mao Mao and puppy Bao Bao manage to both restrain and get rid of the Flimborg, which was bigger than even the adult villagers. Sure it ends badly for them but the fact that they managed to subdue such a massive beast is worth merit.
• “Try Hard” involves Adorabat having to save Mao Mao and Badgerclops from the Sky Pirates, and she manages to work her way to the top by taking them out one by one (albeit accidentally for Boss Hostrich’s defeat due to her screaming over Orangrusnake). When she finally gets to Oragrusnake, she is able to avoid him due to constantly molting.
  • How Adorabat beats Ratarang is cool in its own right; Adorabat grabs Ratarang and bashes his boomerang form over and over and finishing him off by throwing him at the wall.
• In what is the sequel to Mao Mao’s battle in “Small”, “Adoradad” has Adorabat’s battle against the monster that took her mother a long time ago. This battle is also played perfectly, with Adorabat even yelling at the monster that she isn’t afraid of anybody. Even when Mao Mao and Badgerclops get knocked aside, all it takes is an all-out scream attack from Adorabat to finally take the monster down.
• The entire Adorabat battle from “Zing Your Heart Out.” Adorabat has overthrown King Snugglemagne and has gained control over the throne. Mao Mao and Badgerclops bust in to bring Adorabat home. She refuses, initiating the battle. Though Mao Mao and Badgerclops try to zing themselves, Adorabat is struck with a second, stronger burst of the Ruby Pure Heart’s power, but luckily, Mao Mao and Badgerclops use the joke book, and even after it’s destroyed, all it takes is Mao Mao knowing one of Adorabat’s jokes by heart (while walking through a laser beam with no damage whatsoever) to finally defeat the possessed Adorabat and bring her to her senses.
