    Fridge Brilliance
  • When the monster from the id attacks, it could have easily kept advancing and simply torn every single member of the crew apart in moments, but instead it just stands there and howls. But it is being controlled by Morbius's subconscious mind, and even if he can be arrogant and vengeful and has killed this way before, murder still doesn't come easily to him, so he'd rather scare the intruders off instead (though considering the fate of the Bellerophon, Morbius would probably have destroyed the intruders' ship too once it had taken off, possibly because he could then subconsciously tell himself it was "just a ship" rather than people).
  • Although the red-outline animation obscures it, there are a few moments when the Id Monster's chin and eyebrows can be distinguished. The former has a protruding fringe, like Morbius's own beard, and the arches of its brows are likewise similar to its creator's.
  • After the crew of C57D makes a cast of the monster's footprint, 'Doc' Ostrow, the closest they have to a scientist among them, remarks how the creature seems to have an amalgamation of both avian and mammalian features. This is because Morphius is a doctor of languages, not science. His sub-conscious would not know the monster would be "impossible." It would just make the scariest, most dangerous one it could.
