House Shark is a Horror Comedy film by Ron Bonk.

Frank Roosevelt (Trey Harrison) is an ex-cop who's just trying to raise his son in their house. Thing is, after a babysitter dies on his toilet in front of him, he discovers there's something in his home that he needs to deal with.

He decides he has to sell his house, but feels he has to deal with the creature first so the next owners don't end up its next victims. He makes a discovery that this creature is actually a "house shark", which is a creature capable of moving through a house's walls and pipes, and decides to contact the expert who posted this info, one Zachary Taylor (Michael Merchent) to help him deal with it. However, he also has thrust upon him an alcoholic man named Abraham (Wes Reid) who has a personal vendetta against this shark.

The film was released on October 21st, 2017.

House Shark contains examples of:

  • Added Alliterative Appeal: The company trying to sell Frank's house is called Regan Realtors.
  • An Arm and a Leg: The shark spits up Darth Squanto's arm after eating him.
  • Artistic License – Biology: And how.
    • There's no way a shark could fit into a toilet drain, or swim through wooden walls.
    • And only the shark in this movie would react to plutonium in the way it does.
  • Batter Up!: At the climax of the movie, Ulysses runs into the house and starts attacking the shark with a baseball bat.
  • Blood from the Mouth: Abraham bleeds from his mouth while the shark's eating him.
  • The Can Kicked Him: Betsy, Theo's babysitter, is on the toilet when the shark attacks her. When Frank gets home, he sees her and tries to save her, only for the shark to pull her into the bowl.
  • Cassandra Truth: Naturally, nobody believes Frank when he says that there's a monster in his house. And they ESPECIALLY don't believe him when he says that the monster is a house shark.
  • Didn't Think This Through: After Frank, Zachary, and Abraham finish nailing up all the doors and windows of Frank's house from outside, one of them asks how they'll get in the house to deal with the shark.
  • Extra Eyes: The shark has a this eye next to the one on the right side of its face.
  • Feed It a Bomb: Ulysses tries to kill the shark by shoving a hand grenade down its throat. It doesn't work.
  • Frickin' Laser Beams: At one point, the shark pulls out a laser gun and starts firing it at Zachary, Frank, and Abraham.
  • Gosh Dang It to Heck!: A couple of instances where swearing wouldn't have been out of place get this treatment.
    Frank: Let's kill us a mother-truckin shark!
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Abraham beats the shark with a random squatter who wandered into the house.
  • Handgun: Frank carries one into the house when he, Zachary, and Abraham go to deal with the shark.
  • Implied Death Threat: Ulysses tells Ronald that, if he doesn't sell Frank's house before the bank forecloses on it, he'll find out what happens to the two-and-a-quarter percent of the company that doesn't close sales.
  • Magical Native American: Darth Squanto. He basically has force powers, and is a Native American.
  • Murderer P.O.V.: The shark's P.O.V. is shown through a blue screen filter.
  • Named After Someone Famous: Frank has a name that's close-to-exactly like FDR.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: At one point, Frank and Abraham actually manage to avoid the shark by pretending to be furniture. All they did was hold books like a shelf (Frank) or get on all fours and pretend to be a table (Abraham).
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Smile, you son of a biscuit!
  • Randomly Reversed Letters: After making Zachary dress as a female shark to lure the house shark out, they write signs goading the shark to come for him. The Ss on at least one of the signs are backwards.
  • Running Gag: Abraham likes to touch peoples' faces.
  • Sacrificial Lion: Just as they're about to go hunting for the shark, Darth Squanto gets jumped from behind while standing in the door frame and is eaten in front of Frank's and Ronald's eyes.
  • Senseless Sacrifice: Ulysses charged at the shark with a live grenade in his hand and let it eat him. Sadly, the explosion didn't kill the shark.
  • Shout-Out: A couple to Jaws, of course.
    • Zachary says he likes sharks, but is afraid of water, which Frank says is because he saw Jaws.
    • There's also his Pre-Mortem One-Liner before he shoots Abraham's foot in the shark's mouth, which somehow blows it up.
Frank: Smile, you son of a biscuit!
  • Spit Take: When someone in a diner reads a newspaper report about Frank's claim there's a shark in his house, he spits right onto the paper.
  • Theme Naming: All of the characters are named after United States presidents and first ladies.
  • There's No Kill like Overkill: After living in his backyard for two months, Frank says he wants to burn his house to ashes, and then burn those ashes, and then load them on a rocket bound for the sun, and then nuke the sun.
  • Time Skip: After Betsy is killed by the shark, the movie jumps ahead 2 months to Frank and his son living in the backyard.
  • Training Montage: Late in the movie, there's a montage of Abraham training himself in the fighting style of the shark's natural enemy... The mantis.
