House on Bare Mountain is a 1962 American comedy ‘nudie cutie’ film directed by Lee Frost, Peter Perry Jr., and Wes Bishop, featuring a number of nubile young women and a trio of monsters.

"Granny Good" runs a secluded finishing school for "good girls", most of whom spend their time sunbathing in the nude, exercising in the nude and taking art classes in the nude. However, the school is actually just a front for a moonshine operation. At a party, Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula, and a Wolf Man named Krakow (who has been working in the basement at non-union rates) show up...

Tropes on Bare Mountain:

  • Bathing Beauty: All of the students at Granny Good's School for Good Girls love taking showers: a facet of school life which is lovingly portrayed multiple times over the course of the film.
  • Dracula: One of the monsters who infiltrates the costume party and spikes the punch.
  • For Halloween, I Am Going as Myself: Dracula, the Frankenstein Monster and Krakow the Wolf Man all enter the costume party party and everyone assumes they are guests in costume.
  • Frankenstein's Monster: Another of the monsters who infiltrates the costume party and spikes the punch.
  • Garden Garment: One of the girls arrives at the costume party wearing only a fig leaf as a costume. Granny makes her go upstairs and get changed. She comes back wearing two additional (much smaller) fig leaves on her nipples.
  • Gargle Blaster: Granny's homebrewed hooch is so potent that a single sip is enough to knock out an entire squad of cops.
  • Insistent Terminology: Any time someone addresses Granny Good as 'Miss Good', she firmly corrects them to 'Granny'.
  • Military Moonshiner: Granny Good and the wolf man Krakow are running an industrial scale still in the basement of the school.
  • Monster Mash: Krakow the Wolf Man, Dracula, and Frankenstein's Monster all invade a costume party being held at the school (although Dracula and Frankenstein's parts in this scheme are comparatively minor).
  • One-Gender School: Granny Good's School for Good Girls is, as the name implies, a finishing school for young women.
  • A Party, Also Known as an Orgy: the costume party turns into one of these after the guests indulge in the thoroughly spiked punch.
  • The Place
  • Powder Gag: A Running Gag is Granny Good getting a faceful of dust every time she attempts to use the speaking tube in her office.
  • Shower Scene: The are multiple featuring the girls taking showers which exist for the sole purpose of showing nubile young women taking showers.
  • Weird Trade Union: Krakow the Wolf Man belongs to UWA 37: United Werewolves of America.
  • Wolf Man: Krakow, who works for Granny Good running her still and roams the grounds scaring the girls whenever there is a full moon, is a 7n ft. tall werewolf who seems to be permanently stuck in his wolf man form.
