Total Drama Quarantine by CactusPot is a Total Drama fanfiction published between March and June 2020. Thirteen campers return for what should have been a spring break, but instead, the unprecedented outbreak of a global pandemic alters the season layout. Despite the lack of Chris, lack of food, and lack of marshmallows, the goal remains clear: be the last one standing and win one million dollars.

Total Drama Quarantine contains examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Downplayed with Amy and Brick, as the latter is oblivious to Amy's flirtation for most of the story.
  • Air-Vent Passageway: How Amy escapes the losers' basement in "The One with the Party Crashers", and also how the remaining nine losers escape to find her.
  • Back for the Finale: The finalists' four helpers, Jo, Sammy, Sky, and Harold, as well as all other eliminated contestants at the end of the episode.
  • Big Bad: Averted; despite Amy's antagonistic personality and Noah's vendetta against Jo, there is no overarching villain in this season.
  • Briefcase Full of Money: Averted when Chris decides a direct deposit to the winner's bank account is less risky than physical cash.
  • The Cameo: Similar to Revenge of the Island, non-competing former castmates often drop by, including Scott, Dave, Izzy, Trent, Topher, Katie, and Sadie. Even Taylor makes a cameo in "The One with the Party Crashers".
  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • In "Spice and Dice", Zoey suggests to Sammy that she should dye her hair. Sammy dyes her hair four episodes later.
    • In "Don't Whine At Night", Sammy mentions Amy used to terrorize her by leaving spiders in her bed, a fact that becomes relevant in the finale, when a spider crawls up Sammy's leg and causes her to wake up, therefore realizing Leshawna had left the island already.
  • Continuity Nod: Characters often reference their canon experiences on previous seasons of Total Drama.
    • Sky references Pahkitew Island and her past relationship with Dave.
    • In "Don't Whine At Night" and "Scott Says, Sammy Does" Jo references Brick's pants-wetting, a detail first introduced in Revenge of the Island.
  • Doomed New Clothes: Amy picks out an extravagant dress during "Canada's Next Top Model", only for it to be soiled in the subsequent obstacle course.
  • Dress-Up Episode: "Canada's Next Top Model" has the remaining eight contestants wearing new outfits.
  • Dumb Blonde: Lindsay and Owen. Subverted by Jo and Sammy, and lampshaded by Jo in "Cast Aways".
Jo: You’re one of those girls that gives us blondes a bad reputation.
  • Falling into His Arms: In "Race to Chris' Mansion", Brick catches both Sammy and Jo.
  • Finishing Each Other's Sentences: Brick and Leshawna do this during the finale.
  • Group Hug: One occurs in both the real and alternate endings after the winners earn their million dollars.
  • His Story Repeats Itself: Once again, Sky finds herself attracted to a fellow competitor.
  • Hollywood Healing: Subverted when Jo breaks her arm and it stays broken.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Lightning and Sky.
  • It's Personal: Noah feels this way after the other Stalwart Shrimp vote off Owen.
  • Jack of All Trades: Sammy and Brick often joke about Sammy's versatility caused by years of doing literally everything for Amy.
Brick: Thanks for not abandoning me, soldier. You’d make an excellent cadet.
Sammy: Gymnast, fashionista, cadet… it’s like my options are limitless now.
  • Last-Minute Hookup: Jo and Brick only get together in the season finale.
  • The Leader: Leshawna takes charge during their first day on the island.
  • Love Epiphany: Brick has one during "Canada's Next Top Model", though he slips back into denial during the following episodes.
  • Love Triangle: Amy has a crush on Brick, but he ends up with Jo, who hates Amy.
  • Malicious Misnaming: Amy to Sammy. Also Jo to anyone who crosses her.
  • Maybe Ever After: No one actually knows if Leshawna and Harold are more than friends.
  • Nice Mean And In Between: Brick (the nice), Amy (the mean), and Jo (the in-between, whose nastiness pales in comparison to Amy's).
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: In "Extreme Trivia Skiing Edition", Jo has one when she sees Brick's mustache.
  • No OSHA Compliance: Several challenges involve literal teenagers constructing both bridges and waterslides, which Chris plans to use at his resort following the season's end.
  • Odd Friendship: Leonard and Lindsay develop one.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: After Owen is eliminated, Noah bears a grudge against Jo, Brick, and Amy for causing the elimination.
  • Paintball Episode: The paint is replaced with thematically appropriate hand sanitizer in Don't Whine At Night.
  • Pair the Spares: In a nonromantic sense, Sammy and Zoey become friends because everyone else is either in a trio or duo.
  • Phoneaholic Teenager: Zoey becomes one, usually texting her closest friends who aren't competing during season.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: Owen and Noah, as per canon.
  • Red Herring Twist: Chris swaps Brick and Sky, only for the merge to occur immediately after, making the swap effectively useless (except for creating tension between Sky and Lightning, which was probably Chris' motive anyways).
  • Ripped from the Headlines: The entire fanfiction was inspired by the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic.
  • Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: When Chris swaps Brick and Sky. Post-merge, Chris introduces several random voting twists that cost some campers the game.
  • Sibling Team: Averted when Amy is placed on the Stalwart Shrimp and Sammy is placed on the Cantankerous Roosters.
  • Spit Take: Jo does one when she and Sky eavesdrop on Lightning, Brick, and Noah during their off-day.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Brick and Jo get a lot of scenes to themselves.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Stalwart Shrimp: Jo and Amy hate each other, Brick is stuck in the middle of their constant bickering, and Noah dislikes the entire trio.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Downplayed with Jo, who is too busy fighting with Amy to antagonize anyone else, although she still directs quips at Sammy and Brick from time to time.
  • Two Girls and a Guy: Jo, Brick, and Amy.
  • We Are Not Going Through That Again: After the money has been won, Chris offers the kids an application-free job at his new resort. Everyone bursts out laughing, not even considering that as an option.
  • Will They or Won't They?: Sky especially struggles about whether or not the competition should take precedence over her attraction to Lightning.
