The cast of contestants from the rewrite. note

Total Drama All-Stars Rewrite is a Total Drama All-Stars fanfic by JasperPie and Bloom-Tazza93 written as a way to fix all the mistakes the original season did.

The main story of the actual season is still the same with some changes and with the addition of new characters giving the writers the possibility to develop new friendships, conflicts, and relationships. The episodes are the same as the original with 4 more episodes (2 Aftermath specials and 2 additional challenges) and new scenes added. There's also a four-part Aftermath epilogue/special called "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", which serves as a season special/finale to transition the season into Total Drama Pahkitew Island much like the specials from Island and Action.

Total Drama All-Stars Rewrite provides examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Ezekiel towards Anne Maria (though she shows some slight reciprocation when Ezekiel is restored to normal), as well as Chef towards DJ's momma in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
  • Abusive Parents: Duncan reveals in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" that after he was sent off to adult prison, his father disowned him and banned him from ever returning home in order to keep his job on the police force.
  • Accidental Kiss: Noah has one with Dawn in "Food Fright". Also doubles as Dawn's First Kiss.
  • Act of True Love: In "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", Blaineley offers to give a million dollars to Geoff if he calls of his wedding with Bridgette. What does Geoff do? Give the million to the fans instead.
  • Adaptational Badass: Duncan and Gwen both get this.
    • The finale shows Duncan being strong enough to knock down trees and even beating Mal in a fight.
    • Gwen is an overall more active character, hunting down Chris and Chef during a challenge when Chris pushes her too far, and even making it to the Final Three, winning in the finale.
  • Adaptation Expansion:
    • A few contestants who weren't in the canon All-Stars are added to the group, namely Owen, Noah, Dawn, Brick, and Anne Maria.
    • Due to the above mentioned additional contestants, as well as two Aftermath specials, the number of episodes in the season is expanded from 13 to 18. The finale is spit into a two-parter, while two completely original stories are introduced (the 5th and 14th episodes).
    • The fic's version of the season's intro (detailed in the first episode) uses the 60-second version from the previous 4 seasons instead of the 20-second one used by the canon season. As a result, many new scenes are added, including cameos from non-participating contestants like Izzy and Ezekiel.
  • Adaptational Explanation:
    • Owen and Noah's reasons for continuing to star on reality TV (as mentioned in The Ridonculous Race) are explained here as the result of Chris making them do so in exchange for giving them more money to help Noah fund Dawn's animal shelter.
    • Some of the more difficult-to-write-out Idiot Ball moments are given better justification here. For instance, with Heather's decision to not take the immunity idol with her, she says in a confessional that her pants pockets weren't deep enough to hide it and that she refused to store it in Victoria's Secret Compartment ("I still have some dignity left on this show.").
    • Many of the original season's Plot Holes are filled in too. For instance, how Mal got a hold of Courtney's chart is explained to be that he tripped her and stole it from her pants pocket while helping her get back up.
    • Alejandro's new voice in the season is explained in "Singin' in the Pain" to be caused by his vocal cords still in the process of recovery after his incident with the volcano and the robot suit.
    • The reason nobody from the first two generations of Total Drama contestants ever showed up in the Pahkitew Island season even for a cameo or mention? They fulfilled their end of the contracts and no longer have to make any more appearances on the show.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Many of Zoey's Idiot Ball moments from canon are removed, and she is FAR less naïve to the threat of Mal.
  • Adaptational Jerkass:
    • Despite canon never indicating otherwise, here, Cody admits that his I Just Want My Beloved to Be Happy schtick during Island was entirely fake (and actually an attempt to get closer to Gwen) and that he had actually stolen Gwen's bra rather than receiving it as a gift for helping her hook up with Trent.
    • Courtney's attitude towards Duncan is a lot more hostile than it was towards him All Stars. Here she continues to fight Duncan on issues and refuses to accept she pushed him away. In "All Stars" she handles it rather maturely not wanting to acknowledge his existence despite Duncan's constant goading and her refusal to forgive Gwen comes from Gwen's refusal to own up to the fact she betrayed a friend.
  • Adaptational Karma: While Chris never got karma in the canon season finale, here he gets hit in the groin by Gwen with the million dollar briefcase, and later, an invincibility statue knocks him out during his closing speech.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: While Duncan had several Pet the Dog moments in canon as well, here, he's much more considerate of Gwen. Rather than frequently neglecting Gwen's feelings and using her as a way to make Courtney jealous, here, he tries to help Gwen whenever he can, not wanting Gwen to feel burdened by the issue. He also stops the fight between Courtney and Gwen as opposed to in canon, where he happily claimed they were fighting over him to make himself look like a bad boy.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • In All-Stars, Duncan and Gwen's relationship has clearly lost it's spark, and ends with Gwen breaking up with Duncan when it's apparent that he's obsessed with getting Courtney's attention. Here, while they face occasional road bumps, their relationship holds strong.
    • Gwen and Courtney's friendship also has a different fate than in canon. In All-Stars, Courtney betrayed Gwen, intending to have her eliminated second to last despite promising they'd go to the finale together. This ends with Gwen breaking their friendship, and despite Courtney's efforts to restore it, they part on bad terms. Here, despite Courtney's betrayal from canon remaining, Gwen and Courtney eventually rekindle their friendship again.
    • In the show, Duncan and Noah rarely interacted, and when they did, it was always negative. Here, their relationship is closer to that of Vitriolic Best Buds, the two mocking each other and often engaging in Snark-to-Snark Combat, but still enjoy each other's company.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Mal is much worse here than he was in canon.
  • Adapted Out: Sam doesn't compete in the season and is replaced with Brick (although many of Sam's moments are given to Owen instead). The first Aftermath reveals he was offered to, but refused out of loyalty to Dakota.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Played With in regards to Gwen and Duncan's relationship.
    • Gwen does like how hot Duncan looks in leather and the Cluster F-Bomb he delivers to Mal in the final challenge, but she also appreciates and tries to encourage his better qualities.
    • Duncan expresses concern that Gwen is losing interest in him and becoming increasingly attracted to the Eviler than Thou Alejandro (due to his belief he's losing his bad-boy edge and Alejandro charming Gwen earlier). When he asks her about it, Gwen makes it clear she finds Alejandro's evilness repulsive and is certainly not going to dump Duncan just for being nice.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: Duncan hits Courtney with one, with it being the final thing that causes her to forgive Gwen.
Duncan: If Gwen really were a “cold-blooded boyfriend stealer,” would she be busting her hump all season trying to be friends with YOU again?
  • Back for the Finale: Dawn, Cameron, Duncan, Courtney, Heather, and Alejandro all return in the finale as the helpers. Also, Owen and Noah appear as Chris' personal assistants, Izzy makes another cameo, and the Peanut Gallery all show up on a yacht after the island sinks in order to pick up the above mentioned characters.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Harming wildlife is a quick way to piss off Dawn.
    • Owen hates being called useless.
    • Gwen really hates it when Chris calls her Gwendolyn.
    • Based off his reaction to Leonard calling it a spell, Mike gets pretty offended when his disorder is treated lightly.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Dawn is a bona fide All-Loving Heroine, but abuse animals in her presence or threaten those she cares for, like her boyfriend, Noah, and she can get scary.
  • Big, Thin, Short Trio: Owen, Noah, and Dawn, with Owen being big, Noah being thin, and Dawn being short.
  • Bouquet Toss: In the ending montage of "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding". Bridgette tossed the bouquet that gets caught by....Noah and Owen. The 2 quickly toss it again, and it gets caught by Duncan and Gwen.
  • Brain Bleach:
    • Noah sees a painting of Chris au naturale in the winners' mansion and can't get it out of his head during "Evil Dread". Dawn uses her abilities to help him get over it, and also steals the painting from the mansion and burns it.
    • Chef is extremely disturbed when he sees the Chris-plant hatched from Larry's egg.
Chef: (in confessional; shivering) Chris has a lot of explaining to do.
  • Breather Episode: Episode 5 and first original episode, "Singin' In the Pain", is the only episode with no elimination and the challenge is rather tame compared to the others.
  • Breakout Character: Noah and Dawn get a lot of focus compared to their canon screentime. Geoff and Bridgette lampshade this in the Aftermath specials, saying they had been brought on to the All-Stars season because of how popular they were with the fanbase.
  • Brought Down to Badass: "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" reveals that Dakota got surgery that turned her back to normal size and is working on speaking properly. Sam is a little disappointed in this, but Dakota reveals she still got her monster strength.
  • The Bus Came Back:
    • The Aftermath is resurrected for this version of the season after being dropped in Revenge of the Island.
Geoff: AAW YEAAAH!!! Guess who’s back, baby!!!
Bridgette: After two years of retirement, we are psyched to bring you the return of the Total Drama Aftermath!!!
    • Blaineley returns to cause trouble too, first appearing in the Aftermath special to tell Bridgette and Geoff what she had been up to after World Tour and then trying to stir drama for the couple again in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
  • Butt-Monkey:
    • Chris gets abused a lot in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding'", to the delight of all the contestants.
    • Owen and Scott receive the most physical comedy of all the contestants over the season.
    • Cody and Lightning get a lot of this on the Aftermath specials.
  • Call-Back: After Noah realizes he just said Dawn had alluring eyes in a confessional, he tries to remove the tape, like how Heather, Gwen, and Courntey did back in World Tour.
  • The Cameo:
    • Ron the Rent-a-Cop from 6teen appears in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" in a flashback. Turns out he was the security guard who banned Ella from the mall.
    • While she doesn't participate in the competition, Izzy pops up pretty regularly throughout the season. Geoff and Bridgette explain on the Aftermath that after her cameo on Revenge of the Island, she chose to stay on Camp Wawanakwa and has made herself at home.
    • While he spends most of the season at the Aftermath studio, Harold does make two cameos during the competition. First on a TV screen placed by Chris specifically to annoy Duncan in "Singin' in the Pain", and then with Leshawna in "Zeke and Ye Shall Find" to pick up the feral Ezekiel and take him to the Aftermath studio.
    • Celebrity Manhunt co-host Josh appears in the original episode "Singin' in the Pain" as a guest judge for the music competition.
    • Eva is brought out of the Aftermath studio to participate in "Suckers Punched" as Noah's opponent in the challenge.
  • Casanova Wannabe: Lightning shows signs of this in the Aftermath. He attempts to flirt with Bridgette and Leshawna, saying no girl can resist him, but only succeeds in offending them (and Geoff and Harold).
  • Cerebus Rollercoaster: Downplayed, the series is still a comedy but scenes with Mal are definitely Darker and Edgier.
  • Cool Big Sis: Cameron says that he sees Zoey and Gwen as these to him on the Aftermath (with Gwen saying in one confessional that Cameron reminds her of her little brother). Zoey also says she views Gwen as one.
  • Crush Blush: Noah and Dawn start sporting these when they develop feelings for each other.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Any fight with Eva is this by default. Just ask Lightning and Noah.
    • In "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", Sugar demolishes Scott and Justin.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: The second Aftermath reveals that Gwen's dad was a miner who died after a cave in. Her mother mentions it's where her fear of being buried alive came from, and for the first few nights after his death, Gwen had pretty bad nightmares.
  • Darker and Edgier: Mal's villainous moments are much more, well, villainous, with the biggest examples being how he brutally assaults Owen and blackmails Dawn with the threat of hurting both Noah and Owen if she reveals his identity.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Topher exposes the fact that Duncan is now living with Gwen's family via footage he got while still working for Blaineley. However, he forgot that Gwen has a very low tolerance for people like that. Rather then answer his questions, Gwen's first reaction is to get pissed at him.
  • The Dragon: Topher is this to Blaineley in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", eagerly assisting her to dig up dirt on and stir drama around Bridgette and Geoff.
  • The Dreaded:
    • Mal grows to become this; first for Dawn, then for Owen after Mal beats him up, then Duncan when he recognizes him, and soon the rest.
    • From a humorous side, Eva, and Sugar when Chris explains she's an ex-beauty pageant queen.
Scott: (confused) What? Some sissy beauty contest queen? (elbows Justin) I bet even YOU can take her!
Justin: (backs off) Scott, no! Bad! Very bad! Beauty pageant queens are some of the scariest girls known to man!
Alejandro: Once they step on that stage, they turn from somewhat normal confident señoritas, into bloodthirsty brujas inhumanas!
Beth: What, you mean like Heather and Courtney?
Sierra: Try Heather and Courtney... times 1000!
    Heather and Courtney: (offended) Hey!
  • Early-Bird Cameo:
    • Jasmine from Pahkitew Island appears in the second Aftermath episode before the rest of the Pahkitew Island’s cast is introduced in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
    • Also, Ridonculous Race competitors Sanders, MacArthur, and Brody appear in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After five seasons of being on Chris' torturous show, the first and second generation contestants are ultimately freed from their contracts and allowed to move on with their lives, with many of them also finding happy conclusions to their stories. Gwen in particular stands out given that she finally wins a season after having victory suddenly snatched from her grasp all the way back in the first season. In addition, she gets to have Courtney as a friend while still getting to have a happy relationship with Duncan and she finally gets into art school.
  • Embarrassing First Name: Duncan reveals that Lightning's real first name is Rudolph in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", much to the latter's dismay.
  • Enraged by Idiocy: To be fair, Noah is traumatized by seeing Chris' nude painting and more on edge than usual, but Lightning's arrogance and unrepentant stupidity in "Evil Dread" quickly burn through his patience. He reaches his breaking point when Lightning stuffs a crab into the hole of the team's statue, causing it to fall apart:
Confessional Noah: (Almost speechless) How di… why di… AT WHAT POINT, IN THAT INFINTE BLACKHOLE HE CALLS A BRAIN, DID THAT EVEN MAKE A LICK OF SENSE!!! (growls, starts slamming head into confessional walls)
  • Ensemble Cast: Every character (Except Jo, Lightning, Anne Maria, and Lindsay) have their own storyline and each one has enough focus.
    • Noah and Dawn's relationship.
    • Owen rekindling his relationship with Izzy and being the first to discover Mal.
    • Brick's friendship with Owen and his power struggle with Courtney.
    • The Gwen/Duncan/Courtney love triangle is still present.
    • Duncan trying to become a villain again.
    • Gwen trying to become Courtney's friend again.
    • Heather and Alejandro's rivalry.
    • Sierra mistaking Cameron for Cody.
    • Scott's fear of sharks and his feelings for Courtney.
    • Mike having to deal with Mal which affects his relationship with Zoey.
  • Entitled to Have You:
    • Lightning shows a bit of this towards LeShawna during the Aftermath, grabbing her wrist and claiming that all the matters is that he said yes to her, even claiming that no girl says no to him.
    • Cody behaves like this towards Gwen, where he flat out admits that he wants Duncan to get back together with Courtney (who was abusive to him) just so he can take a shot at Gwen and is revealed to have actually stolen her bra rather then gotten it as a gift.
  • Even Nerds Have Standards: Harold, Noah, Sierra, and Sam all express very low opinions of LARPing when Leonard is introduced in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • Even when she still hated Gwen, Courtney thinks Chris making Gwen face her allergies is a bit too much.
    • Despite Heather having a strong dislike for Gwen herself, even she thinks that Courtney's grudge against Gwen has became needlessly petty at this point.
    • Owen is horrified when he learns that Chris has trapped the other contestants in balloons filled with his (Owen's) farts.
Owen: Wha? Chris! You didn’t tell me you were putting people in those balloons! (gasps) You’ve been using farts for evil?!!?
    • Everybody, save for Scott, is terrified when they learn that Sugar is a former beauty pageant queen. And in Scott's case, it's only because he's unaware of what they are.
    • Absolutely no one in attendance at the wedding approved of Cody stealing Gwen's bra during the first season.
  • Fix Fic: As the name suggests, it's meant to mend many of the errors of the All-Stars season, such as the numerous continuity errors, the glaring Idiot Ball moments, and the infamous finale. Notably, Ezekiel is rescued by Harold and Leshawna and restored to his human self by Geoff and Bridgette on the Aftermath.
  • Foot Popping: Gender-inverted in "Moon Madness" when Dawn kisses Noah. Duncan and Gwen lampshade this by bringing up their first official kiss back in World Tour.
Gwen: (Smirking) Well, that looks familiar.
Duncan: (smirking) Yeah… did I really pop my leg like that?
Gwen: Yep, you were a total girl.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" contains several for Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race, such as Owen mentioning that Chris has signed him and Noah up for numerous other reality shows, Dawn telling Bridgette that her surfing tour next year will go well for her, and cameos from Brody and the Cadets, with the former expressing interest in MacArthur. And in a more karmic variation, Geoff throwing away Blaineley's one million dollar bribe to call off his wedding could be seen as one to him and Brody winning Ridoncuous Race as a sort of reward for his selfless action.
    • The Pahkitew Island cast's appearances help to foreshadow many of the things that will happen in their season, like Dave's feelings for Sky, Jasmine and Shawn's relationship, Sugar's one-sided rivalry with Ella, and Scarlett's psychotic breakdown.
  • Friendless Background: Owen is revealed to have this in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", to the shock of everyone. He admits that he's not very popular back home, and that's why the friends he made on the show mean so much to him.
  • Given Name Reveal: Owen and Bridgette's full names are revealed to be Owen Milson McFarley and Bridgette Louise Kendria. Also, Gwen's younger brother is named Daren and Duncan's last name is given as Carter.
  • Graceful Loser: Owen is not at all unhappy about getting eliminated, since he just defeated Chris' animatronic monster and reunited with his girlfriend, and also because it means he no longer has to participate in painful challenges.
Gwen (in confessional): (snickers) Leave it to Owen to put a positive spin on this. (sighs) Well this is a bit bitter sweet; I hopefully don’t get flushed, and the nicest guy left on the island does.
  • Grand Finale: "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" essentially serves as a big sendoff for the original 22 contestants, the World Tour newcomers, and the ROTI cast, with almost all of them getting their stories wrapped up in some way or another and receiving happy endings. To drive the point further, Chris declares that they are all now freed from their contracts and are no longer required to compete in any future seasons of Total Drama. As a result, Pahkitew Island instead becomes a Post-Script Season.
  • Groin Attack: Quite a few pop up over the course of the series, with usually Owen or Brick being the recipients, but there's a rather delicious one in the finale: after the winner of the season is declared, Gwen takes the briefcase and uses it to strike Chris in the kiwis.
  • Hand Wave: Zoey's sudden athleticism is explained by her in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" to be gymnastics skills that she picked up from her mom.
  • Hated by All:
    • It's apparent that Alejandro has became more hated than even Heather for his actions in World Tour. When Gwen is worried she'll die underground and gives messages to other contestants in the confessional, she tells Heather that she'd be willing to bury the hatchet with her, but tells Alejandro to get bent. And in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", everybody sans Heather glare at him when he appears.
    • Lightning is revealed to be this as well on the Aftermath show. He infuriates pretty much all the contestants both participating and non-participating with his stupidity and arrogance, while Lindsay outright tells him that he was "kind of annoying". Geoff and Bridgette even show him a compilation of all his fellow competitors getting annoyed by his behavior and personality. Unlike Alejandro however, he is so stupid and full of himself that he doesn't realize that everyone hates him.
  • Hidden Depths: Lindsay reveals that she has written a best-selling and critically lauded autobiography about her experiences on reality TV. And Staci's mom is not only the one who published it, but she's rather accredited. Everyone believed she was just lying as always.
  • I Can't Believe I'm Saying This: In "Suckers Punched", after hearing Noah call him "Ale-Justin", Alejandro admits he never thought he would miss Noah calling him an eel.
  • I Have No Son!: Duncan's father disowned him after he was arrested and sent to adult prison.
  • I Lied:
    • Sierra admits this in regards to why she continued to act so Cody-obsessed in the season despite promising to tone it down at the end of World Tour. She also admits she learned it from Cody, who had done the same when he said he was happy for Gwen and Trent after they hooked up.
    • Chris, being who he is, reveals this to Eva in regards to his "promise" to let her return to the competition in "Suckers Punched" if she defeated her opponent in the boxing match. Cue Eva angrily chasing Chris and pummeling him until Chef tranquilizes her.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy:
    • The Aftermath episodes reveal Trent is perfectly okay with Gwen being together with Duncan, admitting that while he still doesn't like Duncan and thinks he's a jerk, he can see that Duncan does care about Gwen in his own way.
    • Averted hard with Cody, who admits he was never actually happy with Gwen being together with Trent and had actually helped them hook up to make Gwen like him more, unlike in canon and to the anger of Gwen and Trent.
  • Implied Death Threat: After Gwen calls Cody out for his treatment of her, she also mentions that Duncan (who was out on parole and still with Gwen in this fic) won't have his ankle bracelet on forever.
  • Insane Troll Logic: During the first few episodes, the main thing Courtney uses to justify her placement on the Heroic Hamsters is that Duncan cheated on her with Gwen, as if that somehow makes Courtney a hero in spite of everything else she did on the show both before and after that event.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite all the changes the authors made to the season, some things do not change.
    • Almost all eliminations are the same. The only changes are Anne Maria getting eliminated in Sam's place (as he is not competing) and Gwen going to the finale (Owen is the first person booted during "The Bold and the Booty-ful" in her place). In the same vain, most challenges are won by the same team/person as in canon. "Food Fright" is the only exception.
    • Duncan is still arrested and sent to prison in "You Regatta Be Kidding Me".
    • Courtney still makes the infamous chart in "Sundae Muddy Sundae".
    • In "The Bold and the Booty-ful" Chris still yells at Gwen over the painting of him, even though she doesn't use bear poop this time. This time, it's because (or he thinks) she made his chin too big.
      • Gwen still says the line: "Are you kidding me?! How does such a big ego fit inside such a teeny-tiny brain?", only this time, she is saying it to Chris for the above moment rather than Duncan.
  • Karmic Jackpot: Offscreen version, but at the end of "My Big Fat Total Drama Wedding", Geoff gives up a million dollars in order to stay with Bridgette. Come The Ridonculous Race and Geoff wins a million dollars anyways.
  • It's All About Me: Chris, as per usual. One of the best examples of this is during "Suckers Punched", he has the gall to complain about Owen and Dawn caring more about Noah (who was punched through a wall by Eva) than about him losing a tooth. Another major example is at the end of "The Bold and the Booty-ful" when Chris is annoyed at Zoey announcing her plan to bring Gwen to the finale, as she "ruined" his face with her painting.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Bridgette and Geoff constantly lampshade the strangeness of the camera getting footage of the inside of Mike's head and how Ezekiel survived falling into a volcano in World Tour.
  • Laughing Mad: Heather breaks into insane laughter after Courtney loses her voice, as she had kept her up all night complaining about Gwen.
  • Let Us Never Speak of This Again: Having moved on from it a long time ago, Geoff and Bridgette now have this stance on what happened between her and Alejandro in World Tour (although Chris is all too happy to prevent Bridgette from living it down). Noah has a similar stance regarding his Accidental Kiss with Cody in Island.
  • Let's Wait a While: Non sexual version. After catching the bouquet at Bridgette and Geoff's wedding, Gwen implies to Duncan that she does want to marry him, but wants to wait a couple years. Duncan declares he's fine with that.
  • Like Parent, Like Child: Bridgette's father is revealed to be the Big Kahuna, explaining where her love of surfing comes from.
  • The Masochism Tango: As he's forced to confess in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", Alejandro would choose Heather over the million-dollar prize, but his pride forbids him from just letting her win it. Heather admits she feels the same.
  • Mister Seahorse: A rather... disturbing example appears in "No One Eggspects the Spanish Opposition," when Noah and Owen find an egg and realize where it came from:
    Noah & Owen: A BEAR?!!?
Owen: Wait, do bears lay eggs?
Noah: They don't; they're mammals. (Squints his eyes then looks freaked out) And that's a BOY bear!
    (They both look freaked out)
    Noah & Owen: Toxic waste.
  • Montage Out: "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" features one after the wedding ends, with a song from Mike, Zoey, and Ella going over it all.
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: This exchange from "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" regarding Alejandro.
Chris: Ooh, or what about how you [Mike] didn’t tell ANYONE about the deranged CRIMINAL living in your head? Or how about how you almost let said psycho criminal nearly kill all of your best friends... and Alejandro.
Noah: Eh, that last one’s not that big a loss.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • The description of Bridgette's sister in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" is an exact match for Bridgette's original Camp TV design.
    • Brick and Anne Maria's participation in the season references how the two were originally considered for the canon season before being replaced with Sam and Gwen.
    • Chef's comments that the only reason the cast of "Pahkitew Island" were picked to star in the new season was because they were the only ones whose audition tapes didn't "crash and fall down on the floor" is a reference to an obscure exclusive clip only available in Italian.
  • Never My Fault: During "Singin' in the Pain", Courtney claims it's Gwen's fault for her losing her voice, even though Courtney was the one who spent several hours harmonizing.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Eva delivers one to Lightning in the first Aftermath when he accidentally punches her.
  • Noodle Incident: According to Owen, his stomach has gotten him banned from all the Barney Buffets in the Tri-State Area.
  • No Sympathy: Almost no one cares about Courtney falling victim to infidelity anymore. Most of them write it off as Courtney failing to get over something that happened two years prior. Even Gwen, who does feel bad about it, wishes Courtney would let it go already.
Gwen: I am literally THIS close to snapping! I mean, it’s bad enough that Courtney hates my guts, does she HAVE to keep harmonizing about me! ...And you know what’s sad? It’s been like this for two years! TWO YEARS!!! (growls) So uncool it burns!!
  • Not Quite Back to Normal: While Ezekiel is restored to his human self, the bonus clips show he still has a craving for rats.
  • Oblivious to Hatred: After being shown a montage of other contestants declaring their disdain for him on one of the "Aftermath" segments, Lightning, doesn't take the hint.
Lightning: (shocked) "Wow…. I-I-I never realized-"
Bridgette: "It’s ok, Lightning. Every once in a while we all need a little reality check and…"
  • Odd Friendship: Owen and Noah carry this on from canon, with the addition of Dawn (and to a lesser extent, Brick) to their group. Subverted with Owen's later friendship with Scott, where it turns out the two have a lot more in common than they initially realized.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: In "Singin' in the Pain", everyone on the Heroic Hamsters knows something is wrong with Owen (who has been having dreams about Izzy) when he tells them he isn't feeling hungry and chooses not to finish his breakfast.
  • Pet the Dog:
    • The cynical and apathetic Noah, in a moment of genuine altruism, borrows Sierra's cellphone and calls Izzy over to reunite her with a depressed Owen in "Singin' in the Pain".
    • Scott is a former Big Bad and a dirty cheater but after he sees Owen feeling down after Noah and Dawn's eliminations, he decides to bond with him to help him cheer up.
    • In addition to the several he has in canon, Duncan has Izzy attack Chris during "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" when Chris is driving Courtney to the brink of crying.
  • Pie in the Face: This is what happens to Owen in "The Bold and the Booty-ful" when he attempts to get his clue from the pirate chest. Gwen lampshades it.
Gwen: … a pie? Seriously? What is this, a cartoon?
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Heather agrees with Courtney to vote off Gwen in "Food Fright" but crosses her fingers; she doesn't like Gwen, but she can tell Courtney's more unreliable (and annoying).
    • Similarly, Alejandro makes an alliance with Owen, and by extension, Dawn and Noah, in an attempt to have Mal voted off because as much as the "butter donkey" annoys him, Mal is much more dangerous.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Zoey uses these often, and quite effectively too.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Dave is revealed to be Noah's cousin, and The Big Kahuna from Stōked is revealed to be Bridgette's dad.
  • Rollercoaster Mine: Noah and Dawn ride one in "Zeke and Ye Shall Find". Noah (who reveals a fear of rollercoasters in a confessional) doesn't take it too well.
  • Saying Too Much: After learning about Duncan moving into Gwen's house temporarily and seeing their relationship blossom even more, Cody then demands to know what Gwen sees in him and goes on a rant about "nice guys" like him get the short end of the stick. This leads to Noah sarcastically commenting how "nice" it is for Cody to hold onto Gwen's bra since the first season, which outs him out as a bigger pervert than he let on when it becomes clear that he [Cody] stole Gwen's bra, rather than him receiving it as a gift. This of course, not only destroys any chance of him getting with Gwen but also obliterates his reputation amongst everyone in attendance of the wedding.
  • Script Fic: Written in this style.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: After what she had to go through in "Food Fright", Anne Maria decides to quit as no amount of hairspray is worth one more moment on the show.
  • She's Not My Girlfriend: Noah says this at the beginning and end of "Food Fright" to Chris, in regards of Dawn.
  • Ship Sinking: Due to Noah hooking up with someone else in this season, the authors confirm that Noah never develops feelings for Emma when he and Owen participate on The Ridonculous Race.
  • Ship Tease: Plenty.
    • Duncan and Gwen's are carried over from canon and even some new added. They also hint at wedding plans at the conclusion of "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
    • Noah and Dawn, whom Geoff and Bridgette described as the most unexpected couple in the series so far.
    • Bridgette and Geoff on the Aftermath, with the two ultimately getting married in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
    • Scott and Courtney, although, unlike Duncan and Gwen, their breakup still happens and they end up as Just Friends.
    • Owen and Izzy, they even get back together.
    • And of course, there's Alejandro and Heather, just like in canon (and a few new moments too).
  • Shipper on Deck: Owen becomes this for Noah and Dawn, as he's just plain ecstatic to see his little buddy finding love.
  • Shout-Out: Harold's interrupting Chris to point out that the addition of new episodes means "Zeke and Ye Shall Find" is now the 102nd episode of Total Drama instead of the 100th like Chris is claiming seems to be a reference to the minor controversy surrounding The Simpsons episode "Barting Over", which FOX advertised as being the 300th episode of the series despite actually being the 302nd.
  • Side Bet: During "Suckers Punched", Duncan, Owen and Noah bet on the outcome of Sierra's fight, with Duncan betting that the mutant rat wins while Noah and Owen bet on Sierra. Duncan ends up winning.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Instead of a Reset Button in Mal’s tower, it’s a self-destruct button that destroys the tower and leaves Mal powerless, allowing Mike to keep his personalities and be in full control again.
  • Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace: In My Big Fat Total Drama Al-Stars Wedding, Blaineley objects to the marriage and offers the couple a 1 million dollar bribe to call it off in an effort to stir up some drama and gossip. It fails to get Geoff or Bridgette to budge.
  • The Stations of the Canon:
    • Most of the fic's events are still identical to the canon All-Stars, but are also changed in more satisfying manners. Duncan is still sent off to adult prison for destroying Chris' mansion; "Sundae Muddy Sundae" still goes similarly to canon; and the balloons filled with Owen's farts still fly off with everyone in them. However, Duncan is shown to adapt well to life in adult prison and is eventually released on parole; Courtney and Gwen ultimately reconcile (as do Courtney and Scott); and the ballooned contestants are rescued by the Peanut Gallery.
    • The canon All-Stars cast is eliminated in the same order they were in the show and for the same reasons. The only differences are that Sam is absent (Anne Maria is eliminated in "Food Fright" instead), "Moon Madness" becomes an elimination challenge (Brick is eliminated here) and Gwen makes it to the finals (with Owen being eliminated in her place) and is the season's canon winner.
    • Despite "Zeke and Ye Shall Find" no longer being the 100th episode of the series in this rewrite due to the addition of new episodes, Chris still celebrates it as such. Harold lampshades this in his cameo.
  • Suddenly Speaking: B, of all people, finally breaks his silence and gives a speech about how being on Total Drama wasn't all bad when everyone celebrates being freed from Chris' contracts in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
  • Swapped Roles: Courtney starts out the season unable to trust Gwen due to Duncan cheating on her with Gwen. In Sundae Muddy Sundae, the roles are flipped. Now Gwen no longer trusts Courtney because of her lying about taking her to the finals. Courtney even lampshades it.
Courtney: So it wasn’t a while ago, I couldn’t trust HER! Now SHE can’t trust ME?! …Funny how what goes around comes around.
  • Take That!:
    • Sierra dishes one out to those who ship Dawn and Scott upon finding out that Dawn's attracted to Noah.
"Ooooh my blog readers are gonna FLIP!!! For some reason they keep wanting Dawn to hook up with Scott... (giggles) and they say I’M crazy!"
    • Another one is dealt at the shipping of Jo and Brick. In one of the Aftermaths, Sierra tells them that a lot of bloggers want to see the two as a couple. Jo and Brick laugh at the idea.
    • Also to the Ship-to-Ship Combat of Gwen/Duncan against Gwen/Trent and Duncan/Courtney. Bridgette and Geoff reveal they've received hundreds of angry letters about Gwen hooking up with Duncan, and Trent has to step in and tell viewers to put an end to it and that he's okay with Gwen being with Duncan. Duncan himself later says he no longer wants to return to Courtney as well, due to being fed up with her behaviour.
    • One to the canon version of how Mal is defeated. When Lindsay asks on the Aftermath if Scott hitting Mike on the head with a shovel cured Mike of his MPD, Harold furiously rants about how a mental disorder cannot simply be cured at the press of a button.
  • Taking the Bullet: Noah takes a face full of leeches for Dawn in "Saving Private Leechball". This action is what gets him moved to the Heroic Hamsters.
  • Team Member in the Adaptation: Owen, Brick, and Dawn are added to the Heroic Hamsters (with canon member Sam being removed), while Noah and Anne Maria are added to the Villainous Vultures (although Noah is later moved to the Hamsters alongside Duncan in "Saving Private Leechball").
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Courtney and Duncan are forced to work together to help Gwen in the final challenge. Needlessly to say, they bicker endlessly.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After her plan to break up Geoff and Bridgette is foiled, Blaineley goes on an insane rant before getting tased by MacArthur.
  • Wacky Marriage Proposal: Geoff proposes to Bridgette while the two are in the middle of surfing. They wipe out and it takes an hour for him to find the ring and start again.
  • Wedding Finale: "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" serves as this for the season and the first two generations of contestants, as Geoff and Bridgette tie the knot and invite all their castmates for the wedding ceremony. However, Chris and Blaineley interfere in it for their own purposes.
  • Wedgie: After Max insults Gwen and Heather, Duncan and Alejandro team up to give him one of these by yanking his underwear well over their heads. Duncan wanted to do it and dangle him over traffic.
  • Wham Line:
    • Just before the challenge in "The Bold And Booty-ful", Chris reveals he's shaking up the formula for this season, with Gwen being the one who puts the pieces together.
Chris: Helpful hint: think fast, and work even faster because TWO of you are going home today. Oh, and the best part, tomorrow marks the day of the finale!
Gwen: Wait, so THREE of us are going to the finale this time?
Chris: Yep, more finalists means more injuries which means more ratings, and in some cases, more hilarity.
    • In part four of the Wedding Special, after Noah brings up the time when Gwen gave Cody her bra, the goth expresses confusion and the truth of the matter comes out.
    Gwen: You STOLE my bra!?
  • What Is This Feeling?: Noah goes through this when he starts to gain a crush on Dawn.
    Noah: Am I... CARING!? But-but I’m Noah... I DON’T DO CARING!!!!!
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?:
    • Gwen's fear of being buried alive comes back in "Zeke and Ye Shall Find" when they're in an underground mine.
    • Brick's fear of the dark comes back in both "Singing in the Pain" and "Moon Madness". He finally conquers it in the latter which leads to him eliminating himself.
    • Noah is revealed to have a fear of rollercoasters in "Zeke and Ye Shall Find" when him and Dawn go down a mine cart track with a downward slope.
  • Worth It: In spite of the debt it put his family in, Owen makes it clear he still found the cheese cellar his family bought to be worth every penny.
