The oath of Stormwolf.

Stormwolf Adventures is a series of fics made by Pan_2000. They follow the adventures of characters the author thinks they are wasted... initially. It started with just Finn and Leah, who made the titular Stormwolf, but their small team keeps growing and growing... in a quest to take revenge on a mysterious evil that controls the Multiverse through the imprints.

There are five main stories so far.

  • We have each other is Season 1, which shows the creation of Stormwolf.
  • Hell Hath No Fury is the finale of Season 1, where Finn and Leah confront the past Finn was running from.
  • Eyes of a Warrior is Season 2, where Stormwolf is ready to face new challenges, making new friends and enemies.
  • Operation Valkyria is the finale of Season 2, where Stormwolf has to overthrow a new galactic empire.
  • Odyssey for Liberty is Season 3, which has the aftermath of Valkyria and several new adventures.

For free tropers:

  • Absurdly High-Stakes Game: Q and Poe play a chess match against Victor Checkmate, where they have to bet their souls to find Armilla's location.
  • Action Prologue: Exegol: Defenders of Free Will. It's a retelling of the Battle of Exegol, an oneshot focused on Finn and the other renegade Stormtroopers.
  • Adaptation Expansion:
    • The defected Stormtrooper movement from Star Wars is greatly expanded upon. Many more Stormtroopers get names and roles in the retelling of Exegol and especially in the main story. They also embark on a quest to find their homeworlds.
    • Sauria's inclusion in the story also showcases a deep underwater version of the Ocean Force Point Temple, and to go along with it, aquatic marine predators which weren't alluded to in either Dinosaur Planet (Rare) or Star Fox Adventures.
    • In One Piece: Ace's Story, it's mentioned that Isuka is disillusioned by Dorrow after Ace defeats him, but not what happened to him next. Here it's revealed she personally had him sent to Impel Down for his crimes afterwards.
  • Adaptational Badass:
    • Several characters. Rose Tico has taken out Sith Troopers on Exegol, got in the Black Squadron and made BB-8 far more powerful, Din took on an entire Star Destroyer full of such foes and later Finn as a full Jedi, Ilia has beaten several enemies with her arrows and Alix has beaten her abusive husband by herself. And Adrian Andrews, who was mostly mentally strong in her canon, here can also fight physically with her whip.
    • Finn tried to stop Kylo in Pasaana, but a Knight of Ren stalemated him and thus stopped him. This trope applies to both Finn, who took more action than in canon, and to the Knight who saved Kylo's life. Later, on Exegol, the former Stormtrooper took on a Force-Sensitive Sith Acolyte and killed him, also getting a crystal for his lightsaber.
    • In Leah's backstory, she, with some help from Finn, an angry mob and Marcus, wiped out the Volturi.
    • Ace Ray was supposed to be an overweight slob in his original series. Here, he is a powerful speedster who goes from struggling with one Changeling to fighting Dark Troopers. He even saves Dyno and Myte from a horde of Revenants.
    • Between Pan's fanfictions, there is a former Stormtrooper named Rick. In The Dimensional War, he was an Audience Surrogate with no powers. Here, he has same name and backstory, but is also a Padawan with very good Force skills, who holds his own while sparring with the human form of a dragon.
    • Stone Heart doesn't need a magical typewriter this time to cause nightmares, he just needs his own magic. He also has a ring that makes people survive through their worst fears, and put up a brief fight even without these two gimmicks.
    • Goldwin was comic relief in Starfleet Magic, but here he can fight and is the Grand Ruler's last line of defense.
    • Princess Avyanna goes from being beaten without a fight in all her original appearances to wielding a laser cutlass and defeating a Gnoll Commander. She also gets barely beaten in a swordfight by Stevens, and only because he distracted her.
    • The Big Mom Pirates. In canon, they didn't do much in Wano. In this story, Snack has defeated a large and sapient monster with control of the weather, Cinnamon has a duel where she wins and shows Haki, Citron repels the Heart Pirates away from the Queen Mama Chanter, but Smoothie stands out, as she gains several new moves, curbstomps a CP0 agent and comes close to killing at least one Straw Hat. Post-Wano, Prim shows enough competence to sabotage ships from underwater and have a big duel with Kallie, while Smoothie turns out to have actually captured Pan.
    • Tooty from Banjo-Kazooie. From someone who was a Damsel in Distress and then vanished, to a proper adventurer who helps Mana regain her true form.
  • Adaptational Intelligence:
    • When Rey was pushing her friends away for a known war criminal who earned the trust of others and then killed them, she was basically brainwashed into doing so by an evil force in this story.
    • Like, who would expect Talon Ted to play an entire kingdom and Stormwolf like a fiddle, dude!
  • Adaptational Villainy:
    • Subverted with Rey. The story started with the idea of her being the Big Bad, but the author saw that as overlooking her good deeds and a good storyline as more important than spite. So, Rey might be portrayed as wrong for some things she did in TROS, but she is actually as much of a victim as Finn, and the Force Dyad itself, just like the Twilight imprints, are made truly evil instead.
    • Grand Ruler Celesto might stay competent and powerful, but he is also someone who will downplay every follower of the Light who doesn't work for him and try to cover up possible defeats so he can promote his values. Also, some of his laws are corrupt enough to allow a criminal mastermind to nearly get away. And he had one of his officers (Twilight) killed because she disagreed with him. Finally, he imprisons Swift Star for openly calling him out for his corrupt values.
    • Takara is not an OC, in fact she is from the Daimiyo's Grandchild, another fanfiction. She is exactly the same there as in this story, except the narrative does no longer agree with her actions and now she works with the Revisionists.
    • Downplayed with Rhymey. He opposes the heroes, is fanatically loyal to Celesto, is also a willing accomplice of Engarde... but he is still much more sympathetic than in other depictions of him.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Takara, in her second fight with Finn, while he is wielding Otegine.
Takara: Please don't kill me! I forgive you!
  • Always a Bigger Fish:
    • Kallie initially mistakes the BloodStalkers she encounters underwater near the Ocean Force Point Temple as the SharpJaws she was warned about; she learns the hard way when a massive Sea Monster emerges behind an attacking submarine and bites it in half with ease, that the real SharpJaws referred to a Cronosaurus-esque Pliosaur.
    • Kalifa was about to fight Pan during the Battle of Wano... only for Smoothie to seize her and take her out instantly before becoming the actual opponent of Pan.
  • Amoral Attorney: Great White. He is willing to do anything to win his cases, including conviciting a child who was an accomplice to a pirate but had not just redeemed himself, but stopped the pirates as well, to life sentence in an environment that was the reason he became a pirate.
  • Annoying Arrows: Played with. Finn and Leah at one point survive a hundred arrows each, but they already had become very powerful, their magical armors saved their lives, and it was still a serious injury for both.
  • Arc Villain: The stories are split in arcs, each with its own main antagonist.
    • First season alone has:
      • The Minotaur in first arc.
      • Benjamin in second arc.
      • Takara in third arc.
      • Al Astor in the fourth arc.
      • Rey in the finale.
    • Second season has:
      • Talon Ted/Matt Engarde in the first arc.
      • High Priest Kor and Shuten Doji initially, before Palpatine finally takes action in the second arc.
      • The third arc has no clear villain, instead cleaning a lot of minor arcs. Until the final chapters, where the main antagonists are Alicia and Astaroth.
      • Grand Ruler Celesto in the finale.
    • Third Season has:
      • The duo of Titan and Biomeka in the first arc.
      • Charlotte Smoothie in the second arc, until Spandam takes over.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Alicia has no problem shrinking humans and selling them as toys for vampires... and she also plans to scam the rich vampire ladies by selling them an impostor of Finn.
  • Ascended Extra:
    • Leah Clearwater was not a major character in The Twilight Saga, but here she is one of the two main protagonists.
    • Finn was a Deuteragonist in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and his role slightly diminshed from there in the next two movies. In this story he is one of the two main protagonists.
    • Stormwolf also gets several characters whom the author believes are wasted potential in their canon series as important members.
    • Similarly, some villains get much bigger roles than their canonical selves. For example, Nines, a former mook that was more competent than others, is now the Loyalist, and Charlotte Prim is the antagonist of a whole chapter, in spite of not doing much in her canon.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership:
    • Celesto is the leader of Starfleet simply because he is the best and most experienced fighter.
    • The Black Legion always chooses their best fighters to be on top. In fact, if a member wants to replace someone else, they have to beat them in a fair fight.
  • Audience Surrogate: Most original characters present in Stormwolf are based on the author's readers or their OCs. A few examples are the Nutty Poet, SkullFace, Virago, Renee, Pierre, Q...
  • Back from the Dead: Seth Clearwater is revived through a Scroll of Life, but the scroll gets destroyed shortly after.
  • Badass in Distress: Sometimes, a hero is captured and must be saved by the others. Said hero is usually not the same person twice.
  • Bad Boss:
    • Takara is abusive to her subordinates to ridiculous degrees. Unsurprisingly, she is also a traitor.
    • Palpatine does NOT think highly of his underlings, and still doesn't care if they are killed, as long as they are replaced. His tendency to get his generals killed on purpose gets him chewed out by the Dark One himself.
  • Bad Powers, Bad People: Most characters who use the Dark Side of the Force, vampirism or Hellfire are villains.
    • To consciously make an imprint, you must be truly powerful with dark magic and truly evil.
    • Dahlia Hawthorne is now a vampire whose gift is poison. She is a Poisonous Person in every sense of the word.
  • Bad Powers, Good People:
    • Rey can cast Force Lightning, Force Choke and Mind Trick. Still a hero, who loves her friends, and helps those in need, except while imprinted on Kylo and in the finale of the first season.
    • Renee can cast Hellfire. She is about the one character who can do so and is a hero.
  • Bait-and-Switch Boss:
    • The main threat of the Saurian front of the finale of the second season. It seems to be a Yuuzhan Vong worldship, until it's blown up by the Serpent Monarch.
    • In the spinoff Pan's Trip to the Grand Line, the penultimate chapter ends with Kalifa and Pan about to have a decisive rematch, only for Charlotte Smoothie to grab Kalifa and instantly take her out, becoming the final challenge for Pan.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me:
    • Dyno and Myte become very protective of Ace Ray since he saves them from a few Revenants.
    • Similarly, Cookie Dough respects Finn for encouraging him to follow his dreams.
    • Leah fell for Finn because he, without knowing her, did his best to save both her and thousands of innocent people from the Volturi.
  • Benevolent Boss: Poe Dameron is the just general of the Resistance. Also official leader of Stormwolf. He treats his subordinates as friends.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Don't insult Nobunaga in front of Ranmaru. Nor imitate him. Namely, Ranmaru is calm when he learns someone imitated him, but brutally kicks Q for impersonating Nobunaga.
    • Finn despises any form of mind control, to the point he thinks killing the enemy is a better option and refuses to learn the Jedi Mind Trick.
    • Don't talk to Rey about her cup size.
    • Leah doesn't like being called a dog.
    • Poe can't stand Imperials and leaders who are obstructive.
    • The Nutty Poet hates those who rewrite history.
    • Palpatine doesn't like to be called the second greatest Dark Lord, or have his authority questioned.
    • Lightning gets very defensive of his ideals and Grand Ruler. Defensive enough to nearly beat Finn to death and try to scald his face with hot coffee.
    • Stone Heart will drive you to suicide if you criticize his work.
    • Don't threaten Engarde's public image. It's a terrible idea.
    • Kalifa doesn't like it when sheep are insulted or used as an insult, since the sheep is her favorite animal. She especially dislikes it when someone calls her former chief a sheep.
    • If you call Astaroth the weakest Archdemon, he will show you painfully why he is still an Archdemon.
    • Comparing Jack the Drought to Arlong is a very good way to piss off the former.
    • Umbra loves being hurt and insulted. However, she will be furious if you do anything to her beloved boss.
  • Blow You Away:
    • Rhymey did have some wind powers in his home series, but here he gets two new abilities even more relevant to this trope: a hot gust of wind and a whirlwind with his blade.
    • Alix can use gusts of wind in her falcon form.
  • Boss Bonanza: The last part of the Boar News Tower is this, featuring big villains in pairs before the final battle. The gauntlest consists of these pairs: A Vanguard and a Gohma, the Loyalist and a Silver Werewolf, the Shadows of Kylo and Jacob, which also have the powers, evil and memories of their real selves, Vlad and Fang, and finally Al Astor himself, who has to be fought by Finn and Leah simultaneously.
  • Breather Episode: Stormwolf goes to Fanterra and apart from some very easy to beat cannibals, they encounter very little opposition. They leave with two new members, Pierre and his wife Renee.
  • Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: Finn is nearly burned to death in his final fight with Astaroth. Even when his friends save his life, he still is unconscious after a timeskip. However, he did what nobody else has done in the story, he killed an Archdemon in a fair duel.
  • Can't Take Criticism:
    • Stone Heart inflicts nightmares on other people because his stories are criticised.
    • As Gray points out when beating a Starfleet officer, the weakness of many of those officers is their thin skin.
  • Carry a Big Stick:
  • The Cavalry: Subverted in one chapter of the first season. Finn and Leah are cornered by many enemies, but six men who can control the Earth come to their rescue. It's the Pebble Dancers, who are so weak they do next to nothing.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Emperor Palpatine discards his minions way too often.
  • Cornered Rattlesnake: The Fake Stormwolf are all weak, with only basic skills of the real Stormwolf. However, none of them goes down so easily.
  • Crossover Couple: Finn and Leah become a couple by the end of the first season.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Leah's first encounter with a Silver Moblin is also the first time she is completely outmatched.
    • Finn vs Takara, Round 2. The former takes no damage at all.
    • Leah vs Franco. The slaver doesn't last long.
    • Rey and Leah put their differences aside and fight a few Nazis. They trash them completely.
    • Finn and Leah vs Nessie and her vampire horde. Stormwolf wins.
    • Renee usually wins her fights, but once she faces an Iron Knuckle. She lands a couple of hits, but he only needed one to win.
    • Renee vs King Sethian's guards. She slaughters them.
    • Finn fights against High General Zant in the beginning of Season 2. He discovers he still has a long way to saving the Multiverse the hard way.
    • Fake Finn vs Din Djarin. The former only lands one hit, but Din's armor makes sure he takes no damage.
    • Once Gray starts using insult sword fighting at an elite guard that is defending the shield generator of Unicornicopia, she demolishes her with no effort at all.
    • Renee against Goldwin. She lets him punch her once, but she still defeats him with hardly any effort.
    • Luke, back when he was still training Leia, had to face a massive three-headed dragon. He slew it without being touched once.
    • Kalifa takes down Charlotte Flampe very easily. Smoothie takes Kalifa out effortlessly shortly after.
    • The battle against the Burning Cross Gang. Finn and Leah strike fear in them as they are rapidly taken out. The rematch against them is barely less one-sided.
    • Finn vs Long Schlong has the latter show some impressive attacks, but the former still beats him with his bare hands without taking any damage. In the same chapter, the Nutty Poet takes on Punk Croc with an elemental advantage, the element of surprise and starting with no injuries, unlike her opponent. Thus, she outmatches him and forces him to run away.
    • Finn faces off against a Siegebreaker, a demonic siege engine that is nine meters tall. He destroys the Siegebreaker easily.
    • Gaisborn vs the Ivory Leader. The former is a Cipher Pol agent, who has aspirations to surpass Lucci, knows the Six Powers and has gained a serum that amplifies his power tenfold. The latter is Spandam, who is not even average in terms of power. So, the duel is incredibly one-sided ... because the latter has found a way to make the former completely unable to attack him.
    • Buchephalus' charge against the Kallanians, a reference to the Charge of the Light Brigade. Up until they have to pull back, the Light Brigade is massacred while accomplishing nothing. Even afterwards, while they do a bit better, they still get finished off.
    • Krieg Pirates vs Akainu. The giant flying saucer of the former goes down in one hit.
    • Virago fights a Basilisk of Impel Down and defeats it by merely reflecting its own attack back at it.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: Several battles go this way, with the losing side making the winner sweat while being completely outmatched. Below are just some examples.
    • Leah's first duel with Al Astor in a prequel of the series. She loses badly, and starts the proper series imprisoned because of that. However, she put up a fight good enough to force the Archdemon to reveal his true form before he beat her.
    • Finn vs Armilla. He loses and she kidnaps him, but he cuts off her left leg, making it more fragile and costing her her duel with Leah.
    • Lightning vs Zant. Lightning turns into his most powerful form and lands a punch hard enough to draw blood and send Zant flying. Zant still trounces him.
    • J'org vs Terex. The former lands a couple of hits and holds the enemy off before Terex kills him.
    • Hanzo vs Ranmaru. Ranmaru kills his foe by overpowering him, but his helmet gets broken in the process.
    • Ben Solo vs Grim Reaper. Mirroring the former's duel with Finn in Starkiller Base, he wounds the Reaper before getting slashed in the back and knocked out.
    • Jannah vs High Priest Kor. While she loses badly, and gets an arm chopped off, she still lands some hits and weakens Kor enough for Finn to both beat him and save Jannah.
    • Rey vs Jonnie Goodboy Tyler. Rey gets one punch in the face and otherwise humiliates and kills him.
    • Fake Stormwolf against the Legion in Malta. The former are on the run after the battle and lose many troops, but at least they destroyed the Gore Nest.
    • Pierre vs King Bulblin. Pierre has the upper hand for most of the battle and wins, but King Bulblin strikes him once with his axe and actually gets through his armor, wounding him.
    • Raven Eye vs Forge. The former loses his life and the latter loses an ear.
    • Finn vs the Stygian Champion. Finn wins with little difficulty, but he still gets slashed by the enemy's poisoned blades.
    • Leah vs Commander Rugah. She wins soundly, but not before being whipped in the face and having to turn hybrid.
    • Gray duels Irene in insult sword fighting. Irene is fabled as the undefeated champion of Fanterra. While she keeps the title, Gray actually wins a round, earning her respect.
    • The Battle of El Bueno Mundo. While Ace Ray, Ron and Rose have some good moments each, and their troops hold their own for a bit, Starfleet eventually captures the leaders and many troops and slaughters the rest.
    • Pierre against Abra. Abra deals no damage at all to Pierre, but he stalls him enough for him to not reach Celesto on time.
    • Rose Tico vs Caligula. Rose humiliates the blob form of his enemy, but he breaks the machete she had to use to reach him.
    • Lana vs Caius. The latter lands one good hit in and forces the former to use her head, but she still dominates the fight until the end.
    • SkullFace against The Mississippi Queen. She completely overpowers him, but he still avoids her bite and death roll by outsmarting her and knocks her out of the sky. Then a savage beating and the Krazoa Spirit's sacrifice force SkullFace to grow up, and the battle still becomes this trope, except the tables are now turned. The Queen overpowers SkullFace once in a clash, her armor blocks his electricity and she creates a vortex that nearly destroys the ground under her foe, but he still clearly overpowers her, and once he breaks her armor and electrocutes her, it's over.
    • Mike Stevens vs Charlotte Smoothie. The latter utterly dominates the former, but Mike manages to hit her enough with his Sword Beams to avoid being turned into a husk, then makes her bleed by throwing his sword at her. This makes her use her Haki for a punch and end the fight instantly.
    • Charlotte Smoothie vs the Iron Kraken. She utterly dominates the fight, especially after she grows big, but the Kraken manages to land a couple of serious blows and nearly throws her into the sea.
    • Tashigi vs Charlotte Angel. The former is fully in control of the fight, but she doesn't win untouched.
    • Kitty against Minozebra. Kitty wins with relative ease, but not untouched.
    • Pan vs Varinius. The former is a Master of Lightning, who has been empowered by Chateau Romani. The latter is a guy with a weak clone of a Fruit and not much experience with it. Pan soundly the fight, but Varinius still gives him pause and even knocks him down once. Pan only avoids further damage by being defensive.
  • Cutting the Knot: Trapped in the Minotaur's Labyrinth, Finn and Leah almost get lost. Then Leah starts making a path through the walls.
  • Dark Is Evil: The Sith, who are murderous and serve the Dark Side, and red-eyed vampires, creatures of the night who eat people with no remorse.
    • Sethian stands out even among other villains. A vampire whose gift is shadow, and is one of the very few rapists of the series.
  • Deconstructor Fleet: Of several tropes, like Romanticized Abuse, Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male, and overt reliance on power levels.
    • Imprints are a very evil spell made only by the Dark One and are one of the ways he controls people.
    • After a lot of neglect and a few unprovoked physical strikes, Rey loses Finn and has to earn forgiveness. Her only excuse is the Dark One turning mild annoyances to her ego into violent outbursts through her imprint. Willing abusers like Takara, Dahlia and Armilla are seen as just as evil as the male abusers like Kylo and don't have happy endings.
      • Her priorities are also deconstructed. Her imprinted self cared about making sure she is the only true hero of the Resistance, which was basically how she let the imprint take over her and its creator have Leia killed. She also had chosen to heal Kylo's scar and not Finn's, which contributed to Finn having enough of her.
    • As Lightning, Benjamin, and several other heroes and villains find out the hard way, the strongest doesn't always win in fights.
  • Destructive Romance: The imprints, which forcibly bind two people together. They enable and grow the worst vices of those bound to them, or make them completely submissive to their abusive partner.
  • Determinator: Glass Joe. Despite being just a boxer, and a very weak boxer, he still defends his home country from monsters, and thus he manages to take down some armed soldiers by virtue of never giving up.
    • Gabby Jay, Glass Joe's disciple, steps in once his master is knocked out, with similar results. He mentions that Glass Joe didn't teach him how to win, but he did teach him how to never give up.
  • Deuteragonist: Rey in Season 1 has a side arc that consists of her inner journey as she seeks to find Finn and her true purpose. She ends up being the final antagonist of the Season, though she is not evil for long.
  • Dick Dastardly Stops to Cheat:
    • Emperor Palpatine keeps backstabbing his minions, even the fanatically loyal priest of his Kor. This backfires, as when he tries to amass an army to overthrow and replace the Dark One, none of his former apprentices join, and he doesn't gather more than twenty people in total.
      • Also, because he casually gets planets blown up, he makes Lightning have a strong motivation to help Stormwolf for once.
    • Miser's death was completely avoidable. He wanted revenge against anyone who wronged him and would put them all in jail, and he even hired a cheating prosecutor to do so. But he just had to blackmail said prosecutor with the knowledge that he forges evidence to ensure his cooperation. The evil prosecutor shot him.
    • Titan betrays Biomeka in his time of need. This backfires quickly, as Biomeka's death is the beginning of the end for him.
    • Dahlia's main weakness is that she is not above causing mass murders and only uses her femininity to cover her tracks, and she has very little restraint. When she has Phoenix shrunken by Alicia to torture him further and Leah knocks on her door, Dahlia still attempts to play the victim. Leah isn't fooled for a second.
Leah: And rape you? At this size? Looks like you are more possible to have tried that.
  • Disc-One Final Boss:
    • Al Astor acts like the Big Bad and is the biggest active threat... of the first season, and turns out to be an underling of an underling.
    • Similarly, the premise hints at Rey being the main antagonist. By the time she is fought, it's clear she is and has been manipulated by the real villains.
    • Kor and Shuten Doji seemingly are the big villains of the second arc of the second season, but get disposed of a bit before the final fight. The true enemy in this arc is Emperor Palpatine.
    • Pan enters the Grand Line to stop the cult of the Way of Truth. However, it's clear that Haman, the cultist leader, is not the final antagonist of the spinoff.
  • Disc-One Final Dungeon: The Boar News Tower. It is the headquarters of Al Astor, it has a lot of waves that cause trouble to the heroes, it also has a gauntlet of duels that are very personal to Finn and Leah, and ends with the duo fighting their first Archdemon, who pushes them to their limits. And that's how the regular chapters of the first season end.
  • Dirty Coward:
    • Takara. She acts big and tough, and abuses her subordinates and prisoners a lot. However, in her final fight, she loses against Black Widow and the Nutty Poet and runs away, only to fight Finn. After he also outsmarts and overpowers her, she pathetically begs for mercy.
    • Stone Heart enjoys tormenting people in their dreams, and when Virago comes to his door, he tortures her with his Ring of Fear. Once that's gone, he can only attack with cheap shots and pretend to surrender.
    • Tongr is a pirate who got his bounty from stealing money from kids. He has stolen from a gang and hired assassins to attack them, only for the gang to confront him. He fell on his knees and begged for mercy. In the present, he hasn't grown out of this, as he charges at two distracted slaves with a knife, only to run away the moment Roy focuses on him. Later, when he is confronted by Shepherd and his Eagle Launcher, he immediately falls on his knees and allows himself to be captured.
  • Disney Death: BB-8 is killed by Kaeden in Chapter 25 of the second season. He gets better in Chapter 36.
  • Dissonant Serenity: How Fake Finn establishes he is nothing like the original: he has a whole village of Goblins executed with no emotion whatsoever.
  • Dragon-in-Chief:
    • Zig-zagged with Rhymey and his boss Talon Ted. Rhymey takes orders from him, but he is the strongest and most skilled fighter in his boss' ranks. He even trained his master in fighting and beat a Stormwolf member (Virago, who is a Force user) in a fight. However, there is a very good reason he works under Talon. Talon is a far better planner than his right-hand man, meaning Rhymey is just the brawn to Talon's brains.
    • Gaisborn of the Ivory Corps is this to Spandam, being a much better fighter than him and also taking some smarter decisions. There is a movement inside the Ivory Corps that's only loyal to him for this reason, and he is The Starscream as well. The only reason he is not the boss is because his willingness to take shortcuts for power, so he can become the best assassin, has made him unable to attack Spandam directly.
  • Drunken Master: Shuten Doji. Some of his attacks are based on alcohol and drinking makes him stronger at the expense of his tactical abilities.
  • Dudley Do-Right Stops to Help: While Finn can be a vicious Combat Pragmatist, this is his weakness in battle. He blows an attempt at diplomacy to fight an abuser, stops to heal Jannah while fighting his near-equal Kor, absolutely refuses to finish off helpless, already beaten foes which nearly lets a criminal weaponize a Pyrrhic Victory, and chooses an arena that is not helpful for him against a stronger foe (an open desert with few things to exploit) simply because he doesn't want his friends to be hurt in the crossfire.
  • Dungeon Crawling: The story has the heroes infiltrate several areas that resemble dungeons, like the Bottom of the Well, the Star Castle and the Crypt of Knowledge.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: The story is set after JoJo's Bizarre Fairy Tale, and the second season shows that Renee and Pierre are alive and still happily married.
  • Enemy Mine:
    • Stormwolf has to cooperate with Starfleet against the Imperial Remnant.
    • Both fights between Finn and Din end up with them allying against a common foe.
    • Stormwolf and a reformed Starfleet cooperate with the Kallanians against the forces of Titan.
  • Engineered Heroics: Everything Rey had done from Kef Bir to Palpatine's downfall. The Dark One wanted to reward her ego and bad choices of friends, and get Kylo off the hook to make criminals keep doing their evil deeds and expect sympathy. He also wanted to get rid of Palpatine. As a result, everything the Dyad did, when fully in effect, was merely staged by the Dark One who wanted the Galaxy to only be inspired by them and "their" self-destructively evil ideals, so he controlled both Rey and Kylo through their imprint. He was the one who drove the former away from her friends and showed it as the only way of salvation.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones:
    • The Hammer of Abyss and Armilla are in very good terms. The Hammer even mourns Armilla's death and swears revenge.
    • Rhymey Ward and Talon Ted genuinely care a lot about each other. The latter even considers the former the one person he genuinely cares about.
    • Nessie's motive for villainy is Finn killing her mom in self-defense.
    • Alicia idolizes Armilla and treats her subordinates like Forge well. She also has some pet Chompies which she uses her powers to make sure they don't starve.
    • Smoothie is a very bad person who drinks the bodily fluids of people, acts creepy to her captives and is a violent pirate. She still really loves her mother and family, and her motive is to continue the legacy of the former and restore her family to its former glory, no matter the cost.
    • Subverted with the imprints. While they do make the imprinted evil and they do care about each other, it's not love but mindless mutual obsession, which often results in abuse.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • Grand Ruler Celesto refuses to send troops to their deaths, and while he saves planets to be their new master and sometimes lets innocents die, he never engineers the threats himself. Unlike Palpatine, whom Celesto compares himself favorably to. It gets to the point Starfleet attacks Palpatine's forces with Celesto's full approval.
    • Armilla defies Al Astor's orders to rape Finn, despite being loyal to Al, a sadistic assassin, and teasing Finn a lot.
    • Lilith, queen of the Cubi, had made her kind preying on children a crime punishable by death.
    • The Loyalist is above treason and is a honorable fighter.
    • Matt Engarde might be an asshole, but even he sees Emil Kudos, who handled rejection by summoning a demon, as a whiny bitch whom he beat to near-death for the good of everyone else.
    • Spike is one of Zant's loyalists, an enthusiastic henchman who turned a Padawan into a vampire without consent to unleash him to kill the others. He questions Zant for the first time when Zant unleashes the Lily Carnation in Dagobah.
    • Gaisborn is a Social Darwinist who thinks the weak deserve to be purged and has literally killed a dog for alerting his position, but he is utterly disgusted by cowards who engage in pointless cruelty.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • Finn is not above killing villains, but only those who can fight back. Instead of a "no killing" rule, he has a "no brainwashing" one.
    • Lightning Dawn is smug, violent, has a white savior complex and at least initially can see nothing wrong with the Grand Ruler. However, he absolutely despises Palpatine and his followers because they blow up planets. Having lost his, he WILL ally with even Stormwolf to stop such people.
    • Dark Rey is willing to do a lot of bad things, including murdering Leah, but the moment she realizes she nearly killed Finn by accident, she runs away crying. She also refuses to hurt civilians on purpose.
    • Leah might not be merciful towards the villains, but she will not harm an innocent person, or use them as a meat shield. She calls out Dark Rey for the latter.
    • Buddy Rose is all for his master's colonialism, but he does not like those who hurt children.
    • Artie is very loyal to Celesto until he learns his art was used to forge evidence.
    • One of the defected former Stormtroopers, Prokop actually did shoot civilians when ordered. But when he heard about Palpatine trying to blow up every planet in the Galaxy, he was disgusted. Then he heard Finn's message and deserted the First Order.
  • Evil Counterpart:
    • The Loyalist, a demon with Stormtrooper gear who values loyalty but not empathy, to Finn. He is actually Nines, so it makes sense.
    • Armilla to Leah. She is a clever, but still arrogant Vampire Lady who antagonizes Leah and kidnaps Finn to make him join her. Her fighting style is also similar to Leah's, as both use quick but weak weapons and their fists, and Armilla's ability is the direct superior to Leah's.
    • The Alpha Squadron, Palpatine's aces to Poe's Black Squadron.
    • The Fake Stormwolf has the basic skills of the real deal, but they are all much more cruel.
    • Tabo is this to Alix. He is a ruthless assassin who enjoys killing, unlike her who is a survivor who wants to defend her friends, and he shares a lot of his moveset with her.
    • Downplayed with Lightning being this to Rey. While he acts just like her imprinted self, Lightning was only raised to be so cocky and otherwise has free will. Rey also redeems herself much earlier than him.
    • Yarisugi is this to Tashigi. Both of them are the top swordsmen of G5 and serve law and order effectively, but the former follows the violent old ways and is a Knight Templar that joins the Ivory Corps to have his cruelty rewarded, while the latter follows the just new ways and is a major player of the Alliance.
    • The Dark One to Rey. She genuinely cared about her friends and wanted to stop Palpatine and Kylo. His reasons for helping her are anything but heroic. Even him wanting Palpatine dead is so he won't have competition and punish the man who had escaped him years ago.
  • Eviler than Thou:
    • Sterk, one of the demons, slaughtered a group of militant vegan misanthropes in the backstory once he had no more use of them.
    • The Mississippi Queen shows her cruelty by eating a Black Lynel alive.
    • The Force Dyad that helped take down Palpatine was made by the Dark One, who wanted to eliminate his competition and succeeded. Palpatine, however, still plotted revenge from beyond the grave and tried to corrupt heroes, including Rey. Eventually, the Dark Lords fight and now there is only one of them.
  • Fantastic Racism: The hints of this past history between the CloudRunners and EarthWalkers shows itself when the former arrive for a Big Damn Heroes moment in the Battle for Sauria. Like most of the Sauria related details, this is true to the game they originate from, though King Tricky notably mellowed out a lot since his encounter with the Queen CloudRunner as a child. Similarly, the prejudice between them and the SharpClaws is shown, and they struggle to get over it, with only Don Krieg and the Serpent Monarch giving them any reasons to unite.
  • Fat Bastard:
    • The Hammer of Abyss. He is overweight, a demon and blackmails Finn with the destruction of an entire city if he escapes from Armilla's clutches. He is not bluffing, as Chapter 19 shows.
    • The Fat Ministers, decadent, obese demons who command the footsoldiers of the Legion and control local fortresses.
    • Butch is overweight and a misogynist working for the Ivory Corps.
  • Fighting from the Inside: Rey had actually a strong enough willpower and was surrounded by enough friends who loved her, which made her able to partially resist the Dyad's influence until Kef Bir and Exegol. By the time she completely submitted, Kylo had stopped his crimes and then died, breaking the imprint and the Dark One's control over her.
  • Fluffy the Terrible: The Juicy Division, led by Smoothie, is this. They are all vicious pirates, and Smoothie herself is a cruel woman that drinks the bodily fluids of people.
  • Fragile Speedster: Krysta the fairy. She is small, fast, can use portals to teleport, and can get between rapid fire and avoid all the shots with little to no effort. She can take down dozens of pirates without them being able to retaliate. She also can get knocked out in a single explosion caused by Krieg's spear, without it being a direct hit.
  • Freudian Trio:
    • The first season has the strategic Poe as Superego, the impulsive Leah as Id and the balanced Finn as Ego.
    • The three recurring enforcers of Zant. The brutish Spike is the Id, the pragmatic and efficient Tabo is the Ego, the scheming and callous Emil Kudos is the Superego.
  • Friendly Rivalry: Leah and Rey in Season 2 love competing about everything and teasing each other.
  • Frying Pan of Doom: Emily Young is no fighter, but still has beaten a few foes with an ordinary frying pan. She gets a magical frying pan close to the end of Season 2.
  • Giver of Lame Names: Titan gives horrible names to his subordinates. In fact, he can barely give a name that doesn't accidentally sound sexual.
  • Glass Cannon:
    • Q is the sniper of the team, and not much of a fight in the front lines. However, he has made several very destructive weapons for his friends, and, being the sniper, his offense and range are devastating.
    • Supreme Leader Snoke is strong enough to fight Finn and Rey simultaneously and have the upper hand, but even one blaster bolt can deal massive damage to him, and he goes down in a few hits.
    • Lily Carnation can destroy a planet like Dagobah. In practice, it can make people hate each other, create replicas of people, summon endless weak but fast soldiers and absorb humans alive. Its ultimate attack, the Arrow Storm, is very dangerous. However, once Finn and Leah destroy her root and break her curse, they beat her with one basic attack each. And Leah's was mostly useful for stun.
  • A Glass of Chianti: Considering who the first Arc Villain of Season 2 is, of course he will be swirling a chalice whenever he shows his true colors.
  • Good Is Not Nice:
    • Leah Clearwater. She is a good person, but she can be very savage with pedophiles and anyone who hurts her friends.
    • Pan as well. He is firmly an ally of Stormwolf, but he is very vicious with the criminals, and will call you unworthy of being a teammate if you are a bad friend.
  • Good Old Fisticuffs: Many characters like punching their enemies. The prime example is Leah Clearwater, whose main weapon is her bare hands and she even has some more powerful punches as special moves.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Palpatine, who tries to corrupt the protagonists from the grave and still has a few cultists, and the Dark One, who is responsible for most bad things that happen in the story.
  • Happily Failed Suicide: Finn and Leah save a woman from suicide and tell her God wants her alive, making her relieved she didn't kill herself.
  • Hated by All:
    • The Galaxy has not forgiven Kylo's crimes, and those who had were killed because of him... or forced to by magical bonds that died with him. In short, the one to blame for the hate Kylo gets is Kylo.
    • In the end of the second season's second arc, Palpatine has completely lost his good publicity and only thirteen people join his final campaign.
  • Hate Sink:
    • Emperor Palpatine. He is a tyrant, who, while dead, still tries to influence the protagonists in all the wrong ways, and tries to corrupt all four lead characters. In the end, due to betraying everyone, almost nobody supports his campaign and his final defeat was met with rejoicing both in-universe and out.
    • Stone Heart. He is a thin-skinned author who tormented his critics with nightmares, even driving a person to suicide. When confronted by Virago, he forces her to live her greatest fears. However, he is not so competent in a proper fight and folds quickly.
    • Takara is an abuser who knowingly sends her subordinates to get hurt, rewrites history to get status and wealth, and despite believing she is something great and beating up whoever disrespects her, she is the weakest Arc Villain in the first Season and a coward nobody likes.
    • Moff Roswald from Leia's backstory. Not only is he a weak coward who has committed several atrocities, but his final mission before his death involves him murdering an unborn child in case he becomes a threat in the future.
    • Theodore Legree is the leader of the Burning Cross, and a piece of work who keeps and tortures slaves. His hatred of women and black people literally attracts the Black Legion.
    • Shimmer Sun, one of the remnants of Starfleet purists, is one of the worst members of that army. He hates the Grand Ruler's successor because she believes in friendship, is shown to not be competent, and he willingly makes his forces join with the Ivory Corps, where he is servile to their leader.
    • Al Astor is a piece of work. He is a propagandist, brute and rape apologist, who constantly demonizes the protagonists and sends monsters and assassins after them. He can also be very slimy, as he is cruel to subordinates and enemies, but servile to his masters.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power:
    • Cookie Dough has powers related to food, and he can essentially fire bullets, bombs, lava and fully heal a person.
    • Summoning harmless butterflies is one of the weakest spells in the story, yet Shailiha utilizes it to devastating effect in a duel against Striker, as she uses it to distract her foe and stab him straight through the chest. She does the same to Slasher, a jailer swordswoman working for Starfleet. It also works on giant spiders.
    • In one of the spinoffs, the most dangerous enemy Pan faces has the power of juice. Said enemy becomes a serious threat to the whole Stormwolf later.
    • The Mississippi Queen has the Mud Armor spell, which might sound weak, but it's able to block everything SkullFace, who is a powerhouse, throws at it except his strongest technique after he grows up.
    • Pepe's ultimate technique is a soothing melody. A soothing melody that drives off all Dark Pepelogoos, reverses any magical toxic influence and heals people.
  • Hell Has New Management: Emperor Palpatine gathers his most loyal followers and starts an assault to take over Hell. He gets pretty far and kills the current ruler's weak body double. Then it's subverted as the real deal defeats him and keeps his throne.
  • Hero Killer:
    • Benjamin. It takes the whole Stormwolf to kill him. At the cost of Master Toni.
    • Mori Ranmaru. Hanzo did his best, but fell to him. Mori also cuts off Q's arm and very nearly defeats Finn twice.
    • Zant. He lays siege in the base of Stormwolf, demolishes Finn with a little effort and sends the Resistance on the run. Also, he had killed Ahsoka Tano.
    • High Priest Kor, leader of the Remnant. He kills Vi Moradi, cuts Jannah's hand off, and nearly puts Finn into a coma. While Finn puts him down, he is weakened enough for the Sith Holocron's destruction to put him out of action for several chapters.
    • The Force Hunters. In both their initial appearances, it took entire teams to survive a single Hunter. The first time, the protagonists basically focused on escaping, and only did so because Din took their side during the fight and Renee used fairy magic for the first time.
    • Redbane. He cripples Ace Ray and kills Sir Kay before he gets his comeuppance.
    • Cerise Wonder. She kills Maura, defeats the anteater of the Moonshine Mob, finishes off Sienna and has a nearly even duel with Rey.
    • The Meka Dragon. It wiped out an entire civilization long ago, and also temporarily kills Mana in their face-off. She gets revived and destroys the dragon, only for it to transform her into a lizard, keeping her out of the big fights for a while.
    • Gaisborn, the Dragon-in-Chief of the Ivory Corps. His bodycount includes Will Crimson of the Revolutionaries and Epsilon, an iron Logia that is a member of the Alliance and his sister.
  • Horrifying the Horror:
    • Al Astor was the strongest villain of the first season, and the initial main villain of the story. Leah was afraid to face him. Then came Zant, who, in his first appearance, intimidated Al easily.
    • Finn, when fighting through a hallway in Malachor, scares the Sith Troopers who try to stop him.
    • Leah becomes something like a boogeyman to the vampires, who are fearsome to ordinary people. But even she is horrified and struggles to sleep because of a fairy tale involving Ganondorf.
  • Humongous Mecha: The Iron Kraken, which, true to its name, is a massive mechanical octopus full of cannons.
  • I Am a Humanitarian: Cannibals are one of the weakest units of the Black Legion, but they are many. There are also all the red-eyed vampires, whose eyes show that they are this trope and they are also tougher than the cannibals.
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: Renee seems to no longer have her fairy magic from her original, Fanterran self. She actually is holding it back until she unleashes it at the first enemy that is too much for her flames and friends, a Force Hunter.
  • I Have You Now, My Pretty:
    • When Armilla kidnaps Finn, she keeps him as a pet and tries to make him join her.
    • Her successor Alicia is very enthusiastic about keeping Finn to herself too. When she shrinks and grabs him, she starts fondling him immediately.
    • Astaroth outright sees Princess Prin Prin as a toy, and enjoys playing with her while she is his captive.
    • Black Maria goes as far as licking Pan when she has him in her clutches, and is stated that she has fun with all of her captives.
  • Impostor Forgot One Detail: During a duel between Pan and Black Maria, Tashigi interferes and says she will help. She warns Pan to hold back against Black Maria because she is a lady, which makes Pan promptly attack her and expose her as one of Maria's subordinates in disguise, since he knows Tashigi considers not fighting back against capable women disrespectful.
  • Insult Backfire: In the Art of Blade and Tongue, telling a Fanterran they have the dignity of a Goblin will reslt in them always replying: "Oh, like King Bowie? You make me blush!"
  • It's Personal: Rosalie Hale helps Leah against Dahlia Hawthorne because Dahlia has a tendency to frame her victims for abuse, murder and rape. Rose, being an actual survivor, doesn't like that.
  • I Surrender, Suckers:
    • Takara fakes surrender when losing her rematch with Finn, then she tries to sucker punch him. It fails.
    • Stone Heart pulls it on Virago after she outfights him. Once she turns her back on him, he tries to use magic on her from behind. She is not fooled for a second.
    • Tabo pertends to end the fight between himself and Alix before stabbing her with a poisoned knife.
    • Matt Engarde starts begging for forgiveness and telling Rey he will change. This leads to him landing a cheap hit.
  • After an even fight, Rose has nearly defeated Spandam. So, he begs her for forgiveness and tells her he will change. When her guard is down, he attacks with Ivory Dart, knocking her out.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Leah holds the imprinted fully accountable for their actions so she is the meanest towards Rey, because she has seen people imprint and hit on children. In her eyes, defending the imprinted is like excusing pedophilia, since the two overlap often.
  • Kangaroo Court:
    • Starfleet's courtrooms before Rey came along were a total sham, as all it took was a quick scan with visors and a verdict. There were no actual defense attorneys, only prosecutors, many of which were openly corrupt, and judges.
    • In Pan's Trip to the Grand Line the courtroom Pan himself is subjected to is unfair. The judge is Akainu, who deliberately turns a blind eye on the potential of Spandam having framed Pan (which is true) because he thinks it would still be a necessary evil to spread justice to the outside worlds.
  • Karmic Injury:
    • Alix cuts both of her abuser's hands off before joining Stormwolf.
    • Kor cuts off Jannah's right hand. So Finn does the same to him.
  • Kill It with Fire:
    • One of the few things that can kill vampires is fire. Especially effective against Vampire Brides, as their gowns are flammable, and they can't counterattack with their lightning bolts from the sky when struck by fire and only fire.
    • The Phalanx is powerful against most attacks, but weak against flames. So is the Butcher.
  • Kneel Before Frodo: At the end of Season 1, Rey kneels before Finn and heals him and the Nutty Poet so she can be accepted back in the former's circle.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Armilla has a quiet, sinister atmosphere and showcases her ability to create monsters for Finn to attempt to slay so casually, actually catching Finn off guard while remaining entirely calm as if this was just business as usual for her, showcasing her to be a much more sinister piece of work than the prior antagonists featured so far in direct combat. Then she fights him and defeats him. Afterwards, she kidnaps him and leaves a taunting message to Leah, so she will come after them and get killed.
  • Kryptonite Factor:
    • In Nihilia, the Force doesn't work at all.
    • Silver objects and monsters are the bane of werewolves. Silver Moblins and Skeletons are still a threat to Leah even when she gets stronger than them.
    • Iron is very dangerous to fairies. Combined with a Mighty Glacier, it results in Renee's first major defeat, against an Iron Knuckle.
  • Kung Fu-Proof Mook: The Yuuzhan Vong are immune to the Force as always. Emil Kudos utilizes this to make his Force Hunters.
  • Laughably Evil: The main enemies Leia faced in her path to become a Jedi were Titan's Trio, who, for all of their cruelty, weren't really serious. Once they do beat her, but take five hours to decide the flashiest death for her.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Lily Carnation curses Finn and Leah to get mad at each other and become suicidally competitive, distracting them long enough to fill them with arrows. But seeing each other in danger, the two actually snap out of the monster's curse and proceed to easily beat it... with their basic projectiles.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: Any time Grand Ruler Celesto is compared favorably to someone, that someone is Emperor Palpatine. The two have a lot of similarities, but the former always has a little line only the latter will cross. For example, both will save a planet in distress so they can be its new rulers, but only the latter will create the problem himself in the first place.
  • Light Is Good:
    • Force Healing is only used by Jedi, and only selflessly.
    • Pierre's armor is one of a Space Unicorn, his style like a traditional Knight in Shining Armor, and the spells he knows are beams of light and healing. He is indeed a good guy.
  • Lightning Bruiser:
    • Leah Clearwater. Her speed is her primary trait, but she can also take and dish out a lot of melee damage.
    • Pierre. His armor is nerly impenetrable, and his legendary sword is very powerful. He also has the speed of a Space Unicorn.
    • The Red Arremer is a very fast and dangerous demon, just like in his home series.
    • All vampires are extremely fast, durable and strong. Even the standard ones are only easy for people way above a normal human, like the Force users, and there are many ranks above a standard vampire.
    • Armilla is a very fast and powerful vampire, whose gift is teleportation. She can trade blows with Leah with little trouble.
  • Living Weapon:
    • The bugs and coralskippers of the Yuuzhan Vong are all alive, as well as their amphistaves.
    • The Force Hunters and the Lily Carnation are alive and their only purpose is to kill.
    • Kudos wields an elephant sword, which was once an elephant he experimented on.
  • Logical Weakness:
    • Lightsabers are made of hard light. They are made of plasma, so they are hotter than fire. They can cut through very hard objects. Finally, they can function as stakes. As a result, vampires are incredibly vulnerable to them.
    • Energy weapons are even more fearsome for Forge, because not only can they can kill him despite his vampirism, his gift is to rust metal, which means he is invincible against metal weapons, yet vulnerable against energy he can't rust.
  • The Man Behind the Man:
    • High Priest Kor is a sevrant of Palpatine. So is Snoke the Second.
    • Al Astor is behind the vampires, and he serves Zant, who serves the Dark One.
  • The Man in Front of the Man: Talon Ted seems like another lackey of Rhymey and Celesto, and one of the wimpiest. He actually can give orders to the former and exploits the latter's ideals so he can be a model citizen with all the benefits that gives him.
  • Master of One Magic: Several gifted vampires. Their gifts can be incredibly specific, for example just a mental shield or just pathokinesis, but they are strong and experienced, and so they do the one thing they can very well.
  • Master Swordsman:
    • Finn turns gradually from a novice who struggles with Silver Moblins to this, as he has defeated several skilled foes.
    • Rey is an even better user of the lightsaber. She can even spin it vertically for defense and has beaten a Sith all by herself.
    • Pierre Polheffer, being an experienced knight, knows how to wield the blade very well.
    • Rhymey is also a skilled swordsman, strong enough to fight Pierre nearly to a standstill.
    • The Sword Boys of Touken Ranbu, being living blades, are all this by default. Which they show when fighting their foes, the Revisionists.
    • Mori Ranmaru. His beam katana gave Finn a fight he couldn't and wouldn't win alone.
    • Master Toni is very skilled with his saber, and he can even cut down the Hydra with it. He also taught Finn how to use his own saber.
    • Zoro appears and plays this trope straight, because he is his post-Dressrosa self. He even teaches Finn how to fight a little better.
    • Isuka the Nailer. She is incredibly skilled with her rapier, able to land tens of jabs in seconds with incredible precision.
  • Meaningful Echo: The origin story of the heroine Mana has her declare she "will be the Star Knight" as she fights the challenges of the Star Castle. When she defeats the boss of the dungeon, she declares she is the Star Knight.
  • Mêlée à Trois: In several battles, three sides fight ferociously against each other. In several cases, it's Stormwolf vs Black Legion vs the current Arc Villain, though there are other such battles as well.
  • Miles Gloriosus: Buchephalus, one of the Starfleet remnants. He is very incompetent, to the point his failure at Raguy is erased from history, but he pretends he is a great warlord and believes he can relive historical battles. He isn't wrong, as he relives the Charge of Light Brigade.
  • A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read: Finn learns to read minds close to the end of the first season. While this makes his life sometimes easier, and sometimes it's just blocked, twice it backfires horribly, as Engarde knows exactly what Finn is doing and nearly breaks him with his thoughts, and reading SkullFace's mind too much results in a Krazoa spirit scaring him.
  • Mission Control:
    • Poe Dameron serves as one when he doesn't join fights himself, explaining missions and sending Stormwolf to deal with them.
    • Madnaps serves as one to Rose Tico, guiding her in her quest to save Pan.
  • Morality Kitchen Sink: The factions have various shades of grey.
    • White: Stormwolf, defenders of free will and the main protagonists. They only get violent with really bad criminals. Half of them are abuse survivors who want nobody to suffer the same fate.
    • Light Gray: Resistance, who are also freedom fighters and sometimes ally with Stormwolf. They are more violent though.
    • Gray: Scavenger Army, then Rey by herself. She is driven by revenge and wants to atone for what the Dark One made her do through an imprint, can be brutal to enemies, but she has a very good reason to want revenge and doesn't attack innocents.
    • Fanatical: Starfleet is the army of a Police State. Some of them are true heroes, but others believe all enemies are evil and must be destroyed, and their leader saves worlds from existing threats so he can rule over them himself.
    • Dark Gray: The Children of Oda Nobunaga want to see Japan unified and bring Oda back to life... and will do anything to do so. Similarly, the Revisionists want to change history to prevent tragedies from happening and don't care about the consequences. There is also the chaotic United Alliance of Terror, which has actually good relationships between the members, is diverse and preaches free will... through anarchy. At least Titan does, and he blows up planets. Biomeka, on the other hand, makes slaves through brainwashing.
    • Dark: Emperor Palpatine is a tyrant who wants to manipulate, corrupt and conquer everything. He is petty, a toxic influence to the protagonists and his followers are true villains themselves. However, while he does everything out of self-interest, his followers see him as a necessary evil to stop...
    • Black: The Black Legion are the true villains of the story. They are also tyrants like Palpatine who use worlds like factory farms, a lot of members eat people, all of them are misanthropes and they all worship their leader, the Dark One, as if he is a god. Said leader isn't just a tyrant who corrupts people, but he is behind some of the imprints which force innocent people to be obsessed with abusers with no means of escape.
    • And even inside these forces, not everyone has the same morality. For example, Leah is meaner than Finn, Rhymey is meaner than Swift Star and Din Djarin, despite not being a true villain, is with the Black Legion for several chapters.
  • More Dakka:
    • The Force Hunters. They have twin machine guns, a very fast plasma rifle and several other weapons to cause pain.
    • As in his canon, Don Krieg has an arsenal of machine guns and a shield that fires needles very fast. This time he adds lasers as well. The Kriegborg also has a whole arsenal attached to it.
    • Shipwright Black, who has the power of lead, can fire infinite bullets in infinite directions.
  • Mugging the Monster: A group of bandits think Princess Isabelle is easy prey. While they think she is just spoiled and delusional, she proves to be more than capable of beating up the entire gang on her own.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: The Nutty Poet's weapon is a paintbrush. While it needs time for a drawing to happen and some solid ground to work, it can make portals and all ordinary weapons, even bazookas (ESPECIALLY bazookas) come to life and be fully functional. In the case of guns, they also are filled with ammunition.
  • Mutual Disadvantage:
    • Pan vs Charlotte Smoothie. The former has control over electricity, while the latter has control over juice. As a result, both of them can deal damage to each other.
    • Alix vs Tynstar. Their powers completely cancel each other out, forcing them to fight like normal people.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: The leaders of the Yuuzhan Vong are all based on Eastern conquerors. The leader of the Praetorite Vong is called Tih'mur, the Supreme Commander is called Ah'tilla, and the Supreme Overlord is called Teh'mujin.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond:
    • The regular vampires. Faster than the human eye can see, able to shrug off bullets and much stronger than the average human, they never expect anyone to fight back against them, nor do they expect consequences for killing humans. Even in the beginning, Finn could take out dozens of them because he could sense their movements and actually kill them with his lightsaber, while they expected nobody to be able to fight back. However, some vampires really are dangerous even against a worthy foe.
    • The Silver Moblins. Considered the most basic elite unit of the Black Legion, they are a serious threat in the first half of the first season. Currently, Finn, Rey, Poe and every powerful character except maybe Leah can deal with them easily.
    • Jonnie Goodboy Tyler, full stop. Jonnie is by far the strongest and smartest, and most influential, person in the weakest universe. Being a Rookie Killer, tougher than a normal human, he could amass an army and blow up planets, and curbstomped any foe that stood up to him in his universe. However, his foes were self-disposing and weak. His behavior provokes a weakened, battered Stormwolf to come after him. And against enemies actually able to fight back, Jonnie and his army are crushed in a few fights.
    • Matt Engarde gathers enormous influence by exploiting the toxic ideals of a kingdom to make a good public image. The kingdom is not at all prepared for a threat like him, so he manages to rise much further than before his first defeat in his canon. Though he also has become even more competent.
    • Lightning Dawn. He is used to enemies who are physically powerful, and seldom does he face someone who is also very smart, creative and able to make him question his morality. Thus he neither expects his loss to Finn, nor does he ever catch Talon Ted. However, he does defeat several mindless beasts.
    • The Fake Stormwolf. They all have the basic skills of the people they impersonate and succeed at raiding prisons and Goblin villages, which keeps their ruse going. But in a proper battle against the foes of the real Stormwolf, not only do they get completely dismantled in the second fight, they do so pretty easily once Din Djarin joins the fight.
    • Finn himself started out as one. Under Rey's shadow in his Galaxy, on Earth he faced mobsters with measly bullets, Moblins which use wooden gear and vampires who expect nobody to be able to attack them at all. As a result, he defeated all these early enemies with ease, but some foes like the Hammer and Ranmaru were still out of his league. However, this is no longer the case since the USA arc, as the enemies he faces are now above the level of even those he faced in the Galaxy. Notably, one of them in that arc had all the skills and memories of Kylo Ren and lost to him. And it came after a demonic Nines and before a Vampire Lord that was a master of ice.
  • No Saving Throw: Imprints take priority over any mind control, due to affecting the soul, and hardly anyone can resist them. To stand a chance, you need to have a heart close to purely good, very strong willpower and be surrounded by friends who love you. Meaning most people submit.
  • No-Sell:
    • Finn can completely shrug off any form of mind control. Mind Tricks, conditioning, even a vampiric gift of mind control. To affect him at all, you have to go for his soul, as he is emotional. He also has enough willpower to not even notice Conqueror's Haki being used on him.
    • Lightning can completely block Finn's mind reading due to his training. However, he is so predictable Finn still anticipates his actions. Other enemies can also block mind reading, but are far more unpredictable.
    • Jasper's pathokinesis can affect anyone except droids and the Dark One.
    • The physical body of the SharpJaw might've been killed, but due to being in proximity of the Ocean Force Point Temple, its ghost revives from its corpse and resumes the attack.
    • Vampires are immune to ice and any form of cold.
    • Thanks to his visor, Fratello can't be turned to stone by Medusa's or Biomeka's gaze.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Talon Ted appears to be a pathetic, slothful loser that is self-destructive and an asshole. His acting skills are implied to not even be real. They are real. The only part that is accurate is "asshole." He fooled an entire empire, and nearly defeated Stormwolf.
  • Once More, with Clarity: Zant boasts about how he killed Ahsoka and she had been the strongest enemy in the Galaxy he had fought. Turns out that this is an understatement. She actually came close to winning against him.
  • Out of the Frying Pan: The Imperial Remnant is down? Yay! This menace to the Galaxy is done for... except they were also the biggest competition of the alliance between the Black Legion and the Yuuzhan Vong, who are even worse.
  • Painfully Slow Projectile: Medusa can shoot a large magical orb that is very slow and easy to avoid on paper. In practice, she can use it as a trap or cover.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: Stormwolf members often kill their most evil opponents.
    • Finn impales Takara with the spear she abused.
    • Rey rips abusers apart with the Force. In one case, she even ate one of the villains, a mad, sapient goldfish.
    • Leah destroys an entire colony of cannibals and feels no remorse about this.
    • Renee literally makes a Hellhound claim the soul of a rapist king. Couldn't happen to a better guy.
    • Poe, upon seeing the ruthless Yuuzhan Vong for the first time, bombards the entire battlefield.
    • Axel drinks the blood of Ah'tilla, the Yuuzhan Vong Supreme Commander who wanted to obliterate a planet full of innocents.
    • Mako, upon learning that some evil clowns had hostages and tried to kill them, personally executes all the captive clowns.
    • Stormwolf kills Titan rather brutally, by entering his giant body and mutilating his heart, his aorta and his vena cava. Had they not done that, a planet full of people would have been blown up.
    • Pan breaks Black Maria's spine after a long, hard fight where she tried to molest him.
  • Physical, Mystical, Technological:
    • The three leaders of Stormwolf: Finn is Mystical, Leah is Physical, Poe is Technological.
    • The three powerhouses of Stormwolf since Season 2: Leah is Physical, Finn is Technological, Rey is Mystical.
  • Piranha Problem: Kallie takes note of these piranha-esque fish that attack during the Battle for Sauria, but while she was warned about at least one unseen marine predator already, these aren't it; these are BloodStalkers, and the SharpJaw creature she was warned about is this gigantic Pliosaur of a Sea Monster. The BloodStalkers proceed to all get out of their way the moment the SharpJaw arrives.
  • Playing with Fire: Anna, Ranmaru, Renee, all Archdemons. They are all very good at using flames. The Archdemons all have Hellfire, Anna can make fiery birds, Ranmaru fiery dogs and Renee flame hammers.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain:
    • Jonnie Goodboy Tyler. He has driven the black people of his Earth and many alien races to extinction because individuals that belonged to those races wronged him.
    • The Hatemonger, who is literally Hitler as a zombie, and does not hide his racism. There is also the Burning Cross Gang.
    • Doctor Kudos is a villain who believes in master races, wants to eliminate magic, is very misogynistic and uses ableist slurs.
  • Pragmatic Villainy:
    • The Dark One criticizes Palpatine's methods not because of any empathy, but because he finds them stupid.
    • As terrible as Akainu is, he has his priorities straight. When he hears a mouse has attacked a Celestial Dragon, he points out he has to deal with the Emperors and Revolutionaries, and refuses to waste too many resources on a mouse.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: "You are on air in three... two... one..." And Alastor gets out of the window of the top of his skyscraper.
  • Professional Buttkisser: The Starfleet fanatics are often nothing but yesmen to their superiors. Even when they turn coat to the Ivory Corps.
  • Protagonist Title: Stormwolf is the organization the two main protagonists have founded. It's named after themselves, as they are a werewolf and a former Stormtrooper.
  • Psycho Knife Nut:
    • Tabo, the cruel assassin, counts. His primary moveset includes poisonous daggers, a barrage of knives and a spin attack with them, just like Alix. He is also a assassin who does jobs for the thrill of it.
    • Armilla, apart from her fists, mostly uses knives, which she loves to throw at her foes. They are both normal and silver ones. She is also very sadistic for a vampire, and takes great pleasure at hurting, fighting and spiting others.
    • The Shadow Assassins are also agile and skilled with knives, as well as bloodthirsty. Especially the strongest of them, Jack the Ripper, who is still a psychotic killer of hookers.
    • Gresa of the Ivory Corps, who has knives for hands. She has an insane laughter and really enjoys killing people.
  • Pummel Duel:
    • Armilla and Leah engage in several ones during their duel.
    • Finn enters one with Din Djarin.
    • Leah also has one against Razor.
    • Pan has one against Onigumo. While he is faster than his opponent, Onigumo's additional arms give him the advantage.
  • Punch Catch: Rey learns Finn has caught up to her when he does this to her.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Din really doesn't want to engage in the Black Legion's atrocities, he just wants revenge on Rey for enabling Kylo to get a happy ending, while Kylo killed Grogu. Or so he thinks.
  • Pure Is Not Good: The one who got the Orb of Pure Soul wasn't Lightning Dawn, who is morally gray. It was Matt Engarde, who only let him take credit to lay low and be on his good side.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs:
    • Leah, having superhuman speed and not relying much on weapons, often attacks her foes this way. She even screams "Ora" as she does so.
    • Conversely, Armilla does the same while screaming "Muda". Of course, when the two women fight...
    • Celesto and his Stand also use this, and their cry is "Obey".
    • Smoker has his White Blow Rush. Later he gets the Stratus Storm.
  • Raptor Attack: Raptor the vicious Beasts Pirate can turn into a Velociraptor.
  • Red Right Hand: Both Renee and Pierre are a subversion. The former has a literal red and black left hand, and the latter clockwork legs. They are both good guys.
  • Relationship Upgrade: In the end of the first Season, Finn and Leah become a couple.
  • Shipper on Deck: Q supports Finn and Leah. Virago supports Finn and Rey.
  • Showdown at High Noon: The duel between Captain Rex and Buke, also the former's last fight of his life. They both fire their blasters at each other and destroy each other's weapons. Rex has a spare and forces Buke to surrender.
  • Shrine to Self: What the "Secret Treasure of Enies Lobby" is.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!:
    • When Lightning confronts Finn, he tells him to win Rey's heart by killing innocents until she loves him. Finn asks who told him this, and once he learns it was Grand Ruler, he only has to say one thing:
Finn: Your Grand Ruler is an idiot.
    • Finn also deals one to Astaroth, who had kidnapped a princess and called Finn out for trying to save people he doesn't know. Finn's response:
Finn: I know her more than you do! I know she is not a toy!
    • Leah does this to Titan, when he points out that their only difference is how far he is willing to go.
Leah: And that's why you are a monster.
  • Single-Stroke Battle: Alix vs Tynstar. They both de-power each other, so they fight with only their weapons. Alix wins the clash due to more experience and guts the tyrant.
  • So Last Season:
    • In the prequel "Exegol: Defenders of Free Will", the toughest villain Finn faces is a Sith Acolyte, the only other Force user in the battlefield. Long after he becomes a Jedi, the Imperial Remnant returns and so he has to face several more Sith Acolytes. They are no threat to him at all. Except their leader, Kor.
    • The Umi-Bozu, the first time it faces Stormwolf, nearly beats all of them and it takes Poe in his X-Wing to force it to retreat. Two Seasons later, and Finn can fight it evenly and kill it with a little help from Leah and some ordinary sailors.
  • Stab the Scorpion: Sophia tries to reach out to some Starfleet soldiers so they will quit fighting. One of them fires at her... because he wants to hit a Moblin that's aiming at Sophia.
  • Starter Villain:
    • The Silver Moblin in the backstory "Path of a Rebel". The first serious threat that had Leah on the ropes and forced her and Finn to fight someone simultaneously.
    • In the series proper, the Tower of Chaos. The first unique enemy, who actually tested the skills of everyone and showed the competence of Master Toni.
    • In the second season, it's Jonnie Goodboy Tyler. He is a warlord who had never faced serious opposition in his life, so, while he has an army sizable enough to pose a threat on paper, they are a good warm-up and first enemy to a weakened, battered Stormwolf in practice.
    • In the third season, it's Austen Plane, leader of the Way of Truth. He is the first serious threat Finn and Leah face, and he does isolate them from the rest of the team for a couple of chapters, but he is fought and beaten in the second chapter and killed in the third one, while the United Alliance of Terror replaces him.
  • Stealth Insult:
    • Finn tells to Rey he made his lightsaber and trained because "somebody had to be a Jedi". Rey immediately figures it out.
    • The Dark One does this to Palpatine when he says he wants to make a Dyad with Vader. Aware of the Emperor's fascist values, he forces him to get out of a closet.
    • Emil Kudos has a new weapon towards the end of the second season. It turns out to be an elephant sword.note
  • Summon Bigger Fish:
    • When the heroes are struggling with a Force Hunter, they respond with Poe fighting him in his X-Wing.
    • In the second fight with Lightning, Finn is no match for the Enticorn form of his adversary. So, he flees and provokes a Krayt Dragon to attack his foe. While Lightning, who is very used to brutes, does beat the Dragon, he is weakened enough for Finn to defeat him afterwards.
  • Take That!:
  • "Take That!" Kiss:
    • Armilla kisses Finn in the lips while keeping him prisoner in her mansion. One of the reasons she did it was to taunt his helplessness and show him how bad some of his friends are. She also wastes no chance to rub it in Leah's face.
    • Alicia, when she wants to show Finn what she wants to do to him and surpass her idol, Armilla, kisses Finn and covers his whole face due to their size difference.
  • The Password Is Always "Swordfish": Starfleet uses terrible codes, one of which actually is "Swordfish. The Imperial Remnant, on the other hand, uses a decent security code unless you know Reverse Psychology.
  • The Siege: Zant lays one on Stormwolf in the beginning of Eyes of a Warrior. He wins and gets Stormwolf on the run, but not everything goes well for him.
  • Thicker Than Water:
    • While Rey was imprinted, Leia and Han wanted to save their son, despite his continued crimes, willingly, with no outside influence. The reason is solely the love they have for him.
    • While Seth used to support the imprints and sacrificed himself for Jacob in the backstory, Leah still used a rare scroll to bring him back to life.
    • Charlotte Smoothie loves her mother, in spite of her flaws, and wants to continue her legacy and make her proud despite her mom never showing her the same love.
    • Charlie Swan is angry at Finn for killing his daughter, Bella, even though it was self-defense and necessary to protect humanity.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works:
    • Shailiha throws her rapier to land a decisive blow to the Meka Knight.
    • Downplayed when Mike Stevens fights Smoothie. He does not win, but he does deal a blow that makes his fight more even.
  • Took a Level in Badass: The entire cast gets progressively more powerful, though not too rapidly.
    • Special mention for the Force users. You can determine their level by throwing a metal bar at them and see at how many pieces they chop it. This comes from The Empire Strikes Back.
  • Traintop Battle: Part of the Battle of Xorrn happens on top of the giant train carrying the supplies of the Imperial Remnant.
  • Unfortunate Names:
    • A Kerkoiden is named Leach Loathsom. When Swift points out how lame it is, Leach mentions it's a compliment in his language.
    • Several of Titan's monsters have terrible, terrible names, which Leia points out. Examples include Snake Beater, Nut Buster, Bad Dragon and Tight Flower.
  • Unreliable Narrator:
    • Alastor is not subtle about demonizing Finn and Leah during parts of their fight.
    • Shimmer Sun and Buchephalus warp their embarrassing defeats so they can look more heroic.
    • Matt Engarde's retelling of his conviction portrays himself in a more positive light than the truth does.
    • Madnaps describes Nico Robin as a nasty succubus who rapes those who help her and has a tendency for Disproportionate Retribution.
  • Unskilled, but Strong:
    • Benjamin. He can control all four basic elements and is one of the most powerful vampires in existence. He is good with all of them, but hasn't truly mastered any.
    • Lightning Dawn. He punches really hard, can fire beams that destroy mountains, his first scene is him easily killing some Rancors... and also has to announce his powerful, but very easily telegraphed attacks. As a result, when he fights Finn, every blow he lands counts, while Finn struggles to do even a little damage initially... but the Jedi eventually wins by running circles around him in strategy. All three times.
    • Shuten Doji, when he is drunk. He is stronger than every active villain in the first season, but his attacks are sloppy. Averted when he is sober, where he becomes a little weaker, but far more skilled.
    • Alicia isn't a great fighter, but she doesn't have to be most of the time, as she can shrink her enemies to a size where they are mostly harmless and is overall a very powerful vampire.
    • Livewire is this compared to Pan. While both are capable of using very strong electricity, Livewire needs to rely on a cannon, and his attacks are only good at raw strength, which is why Pan outclasses him.
    • Jack the Drought relies very much on brute force. The thing is, he is really good at it.
    • Rey is this compared to everyone else in Stormwolf. Being the only one gifted with extraordinarily powerful abilities, she is so much stronger than the other heroes it initially gets to her head. Thus, she doesn't have to be as creative with the Force as Finn, which eventually leads to him catching up to her in effectiveness.
  • Viler New Villain:
    • Kudos is this to Engarde. Both are villains who have the favor of Starfleet and are cowards, but Engarde is less petty and hasn't technically killed anyone, and he also risked his public image to hinder Kudos once.
    • Alicia is this to Armilla. Armilla is a warrior who aspires to be the Contessa, and while she tries to seduce Finn, she never goes further than a kiss. Alicia is a ruthless slave trader whose motive is greed, and she also doesn't have Armilla's standards with her captives.
  • Villain with Good Publicity:
    • Emperor Palpatine is still considered a heroic savior by the Sith Troopers and High Priest Kor.
    • Matt Engarde is going to do anything for his public image. He also has managed to become a model citizen of Unicornicopia with a fake name and following their values to the letter.
    • The Dark One is worshipped by several people and his imprints are seen by many as true love.
  • Villainous Legacy:
    • Palpatine might be dead, but his shadow remains. Apart from his spirit manipulating his granddaughter, he still has some forces left after Exegol, led by High Priest Kor, and then Snoke, who want to revive the Emperor.
    • Engarde dies four chapters after his introduction, but his shadow and impact last much longer than him, and Adrian has nightmares about him long after his defeat.
    • Renesmee's entire motive to villainy is the loss of her parents, one of them being an abuser and the other a misanthrope.
    • Kylo might be dead, but Finn struggles to overcome the trauma of his scarred back and seeing Kylo getting away with everything he has ever done. His trauma might be gone by the end of the first season, due to his scar being healed and Finn winning in their rematch, but Kylo and his Dyad with Rey are the reason she catches the attention of another sociopath who hides behind a pretty face.
    • Armilla has inspired another female vampire who preys on human men, Alicia.
    • Big Mom might never encounter Stormwolf, but her daughter, Smoothie, is a legitimate threat to them.
    • Shimmer Sun is the vile leader of the remnants of Starfleet, and outlives Celesto. He plans to reform the organization he was in through support of the Ivory Corps.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Leah is willing to beat up anyone who hurts Finn.
  • "Wanted!" Poster: Several Stormwolf members have bounties on them.
  • Weak Boss, Strong Underlings:
    • Nessie is pretty weak for a dhampire, but she has enough money to fund the Legion and have a personal army. Her gift also is only good for leading.
    • The Force Hunters are abominations who take several heroes to defeat a single one. Their creator, Emil Kudos, is not a great fighter.
    • Subverted with Al Astor. He looks like an ordinary propagandist who relies on his bodyguards, two powerful Vampire Lords. In reality, because the propagandist becomes a target fast, this is a bluff: Al is one of the strongest members of the Legion, and he was chosen in his perilous place for his strength.
    • Talon Ted is much weaker than Rhymey, he only gives orders to him because he is smarter.
    • Livewire is a very skilled CP-3 agent whose raw power regarding electricity is able to decimate armies and effectively frame Pan for a massacre. He also is directly taking orders from Spandam, who is similar to his canon self. Similarly, the Ivory Corps are a team of brutal, efficient assassins, also led by the same person. Downplayed, because certain members of the Corps are weak and obedient, but they are the exception, not the rule.
  • Weak, but Skilled:
    • Finn is not the strongest Force user by a long shot, but uses creative tricks to compensate and take on foes far above his power level.
    • Q isn't tougher than a normal human and has just invisibility. He is also a Gadgeteer Genius, and is a crack shot with his sniper rifle.
    • Poe has no superpowers whatsoever, yet is a smart General, an ace pilot and has won many fights, even on foot.
    • Kaeden, Poe's Evil Counterpart, doesn't have the Force but is still the best Imperial pilot.
    • Don Krieg is not as strong as he thinks, but he can use a vast arsenal of weapons efficiently.
    • SunTzu might not be the most powerful Force user outside of a Dangerous Forbidden Technique, but he is still very creative and a brilliant pilot.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Chapter 6 of the first Season. Turns out the Dyad between Rey and Kylo is an imprint, and it is also an evil poisoning the former's mind.
    • Chapter 21: Finn vs Benjamin. While Master Toni is dead, Finn manages to overcome Benjamin and his insecurities, becoming far more confident.
    • Chapter 32: The ending. Finn is officially a Jedi Knight.
    • Chapter 40: Finn and Leah kill one of the near-unbeatable Archdemons and become a couple. Also, Rey finally catches up to them.
    • Season 2 Chapter 10: Stormwolf has been doing Engarde's bidding, and Rhymey is also in league with him.
    • Chapter 13: Din Djarin makes his entry into the story. However, he is an enemy. Also, the Imperial Remnant is back.
    • Chapter 21: Kor is down, the Imperial Remnant is temporarily crushed, and Finn stands up to Palpatine.
    • Chapter 25: Stormwolf gets help from Starfleet, while Rey and Finn take on Snoke in an even fight.
    • Chapter 32: Finn faces off against Lightning's Enticorn form, Alix gets a personal rival, and Engarde's blackmail starts backfiring.
  • Wham Line:
    • In the end of Chapter 32 of the first Season, we have Finn declaring he is a Jedi Knight.
    • The first Season and its Season finale end and start with the same line respectively.
    Finn: Rey? Is that you?
    • In the first arc of the second season, it seems Rey will win the trial and clear an injustice pretty easily. Then it's revealed she and Stormwolf are far deeper than they thought.
"I mean you should not have let that idiot friend of yours meddle with your Jedi business. Hold on a second, I am going to consult myself, ok?" Talon Ted chuckles, playing with a wristwatch.
  • White Man's Burden: Starfleet believes they should help other races because they are superior and this is their duty, and also try to make the races they help get closer to their standards. They even get a ship named "White Savior".
  • With This Herring: Astaroth attemps to weaponize this, by forcing Princess Prin Prin to tell Finn to go back to the graveyard he teamed up with Arthur the first time and find a slingshot which is the only way to beat the demon. This means Finn would waste a lot his time to make things harder for himself. He almost succeeds, except Finn finds a way to see through it and pin the failure of the gambit on the Archdemon, thus making sure the princess is not punished.
  • Woman Scorned: There is a good reason why the finale of the first season is named "Hell Hath No Fury". As bad as Al Astor was, Rey is the true final antagonist of the season, mad because Finn cut ties with her.
  • Worf Had the Flu:
    • Armilla was stronger than Leah when they fought, and they pushed each other to their limits. In the end Leah won because Finn had scarred Armilla's left leg, allowing his friend to destroy it completely and finish the vampire off.
    • Why Finn lost to Takara the first time. He only used his fists and was not calm, and the weak Dark Side of him didn't help him much. But, above all else, he felt bad about shooting her while she was down, so she struck him with a cheap shot. In the rematch, Finn is more serious and uses Otegine, one of the Great Spears of Japan, so he wins without getting hit once.
    • Why Rey lost to Din in Nihilia. Nihilia is a planet that is Force Blind, so Rey couldn't use her Force abilities. However, she still had friends and the truth on her side, so she succeeded in surviving.
    • Shuten Doji was drunk when facing Leah the second time, so, while Leah still couldn't kill him, everyone succeeded at escaping him.
    • Why an injured Finn could still beat Palpatine. The Emperor, being dead, could only use a tiny fraction of his power, mostly to corrupt others to do his bidding, and to immobilize anyone who was too close to him and a threat.
    • Why the first fight between Finn and Astaroth ended so badly for the former. He had just fought a Baron of Hell and four Red Arremers who all gave him severe injuries.
    • Why the duel between Mana and Mazura was so difficult for the former. She had weaker weapons than usual, an ordinary set. She had to sacrifice all of her temporary gear to win a duel that could have been much easier if she had her normal weapons.
  • Your Size May Vary: Most EarthWalkers are not very tall when compared to Fox in their debut game, but SkullFace, an abnormally large EarthWalker, owes his large size due to his appearance being based off of an actual Triceratops specimen noted for his massive size.
