Return of the Dweller
is a Transformers Fan Fic by Shebakoby. Set during The Big Capture of 1999-2006 series, it involves the return of the creature known as the Dweller, which was released in the depths of Cybertron during the Season 3 episode "The Dweller in the Depths". Sheba has to find a creative way to stop the monster, before it destroys them all.
Return of the Dweller provides examples of:
- Continuation Fic: Sequel to "The Dweller In The Depths" episode of Season 3, which was written by Paul Dini
- Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors: The Dweller absorbs Electrical attacks, is barely fazed by fire, but weak to water and Ice.
- Equippable Ally: Optimus Prime uses Megatron in gun mode, after Megatron junctions the most powerful available ice magic to his elemental attack.
- Oh, Crap!: Galvatron, when he realizes that the Dweller could quite possibly destroy Sheba when she's in her organic form. Once he conveys this fear to Megatron, the Decepticon Leader is equally worried for both Sheba and his own Guardian, Starfire.
- Revive Kills Zombie: played with. Sheba realizes that anyone in Undead status can't be drained, so she casts Zombie on herself and the others to make them immune to the Dweller's energy drain and energy-vampire causing status effect.
- Shout-Out: Sheba's comment about chocolate ice cream is a reference to Bill Cosby's standup routine "Tonsils" on the Wonderfulness album.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Astrotrain is initially not happy that Sky Lynx was sent to help destroy the derelict Quintesson Ship.
