Fanfic / The Big Capture of 1999-2006

Go To

The Big Capture of 1999-2006 is a The Transformers Fan Fic by Shebakoby and is a direct continuation of Prisoner of Destiny. It is a Crossover that also incorporates She-Ra: Princess of Power, Masters of the Universe, and Final Fantasy. In it, Sheba is captured and held prisoner by the Quintessons six years prior to the events of The Transformers: The Movie. Shortly after that, the Quintessons, with the aid of Shadow Weaver from the Evil Horde, make perfect clones of a number of Autobots and Decepticons, including Megatron, Starscream, Optimus Prime, Ironhide, and basically anyone else that was shown to have died in The Transformers: The Movie, and took the originals and enslaved them. Only when Galvatron unwittingly damages the Quintesson ship that Sheba is held in, which allows her to escape, does the entire Quintesson plan start to come unravelled.

The story is currently still in progress, but so far:

The Big Capture of 1999-2006 provides examples of:

  • Berserk Button:
    • Seeing Starscream alive causes Galvatron to fly into a rage.
    • Galvatron also throws a fit when he discovers Starscream has a Guardian Force, and sends the Predacons after Sheba. When that fails, he goes after her with Cyclonus and the Sweeps (though that time his primary targets were Blitzwing and Starscream). After that doesn't work, he sics Trypticon on her, with no more success than the first two attempts. Justified in that Galvatron was certain that Sheba was going to avenge Starscream, considering the events of The Transformers: The Movie.
  • Cats Are Superior: Presumably what the Quintessons were thinking when they created the "Organic Transformers".
  • Continuity Nod: In Final Fantasy IX, the Boss monster Soul Cage claimed the end of its thousand year life was not going to be when Zidane confronted it right then. The Red Wizard revives the Soul Cage in order to gain possession of some Mist, and Sheba and company end up defeating it.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
  • Galvatron ends up turning the tables on Sheba in another encounter, when Galvatron has been powered up by Unicron.
  • Galvatron's first battle with Megatron, which Galvatron wins. The second battle with Megatron is also this, but with Megatron emerging victorious.
  • Enemy Mine: The Decepticons are eventually convinced that it was a mistake to ally with the Quintessons, and in reality they should have allied with the Autobots against the Quintessons all along.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Megatron. Particularly since it's in this story where the reader finds out that Megatron adopted Sheba as an orphaned cub and promised to protect her, before he started the Great War.
  • Expy: Elder Prime is one, for the entity in the Matrix that tells Optimus Prime how to cure the Hate Plague in "The Return Of Optimus Prime Part 2".
  • Status Effects: Sheba makes particular use of these when summoning the Guardian Force Doomtrain. Sleep is how the Quintessons captured Sheba in the first place.
  • Summon Magic: In addition to using this a lot, Sheba herself qualifies when she automatically teleports whenever Starscream is attacked.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Autobots and Decepticons, after they realize they have to work together to stop the Quintessons.
  • Undying Loyalty: Even after Megatron defeats Galvatron, Cyclonus still refuses to abandon his allegiance to Galvatron.
