- Death Glare: Aqua of all people gives one that manages to briefly terrify the Valkyrie after Subaru is killed.
- Deity of Human Origin: Chakravartin intends to give the mortal a chance to survive Ragnarok by invoking this, with mortals that pass his test being allowed to ascend and survive.
- Died Standing Up: Rimuru is still standing even as he dies during his fight with Chakravartin, who is so panicked that he continues to attack his opponents dead body after the match.
- Go Out with a Smile: Subaru gives a big grin to Emilia and Rem before he is killed by Satan.
- Half the Man He Used to Be: Hajime dies, cut in half by Medea's blade.
- Heroic Second Wind: Shadow was about to embrace death until Alpha's encouragement woke him up because....the Eminence in the Shadow doesn't die, only the mob characters do.
- Horrifying the Horror: Satella is the most feared being in her world, yet Satan terrified her enough to make her whimper.
- Humans Are Bastards: Like canon, the gods decide to wipe out all human life for all their sins and damaging the earth. They decide to take it up a notch here and end all mortal life in the multiverse.
- Internal Reveal: Satan destroying Satella's curse means that Subaru's friends learn of his Return by Death, with a worried Julius questioning how many times he died.
- Loophole Abuse: Satan is the king of demons, but he is counted among the divine, by virtue of being a Fallen Angel.
- The Minion Master: Because she's too lazy to fight Hajime herself, Medea summons an army to fight for her.
- Otherworldly and Sexually Ambiguous: Satan/Ryo is described as combining the beauty of both men and women.
- Pyrrhic Victory: Each fight the gods win takes these.
- Ryo wins his fight against Subaru, but it's clear that he took no pleasure in it, due to finding a kindred spirit in the latter.
- Chakravartin wins, but it only galvanizes the mortals since Rimuru made him lose his composure and panic.
- Medea kills Hajime, but the latter had destroyed the face she took so much pride in that it psychologically destroys her.
- Mujin wins his fight, but he feels utterly hollow because the fight reminds him of what he lost.
- Buddha clearly doesn't feel any pride in winning his match.
- Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Subaru's death and the gods mocking him results in Rem to try and attack them in murderous rage. Thankfully, the others were able to hold her down.
- Super-Reflexes: During their fight, Black and Shadow end up using Ultra Instinct.
- This Is Gonna Suck: When Aqua learns of Brunhilde's idea to have Isekai'd humans fight gods, she simply said they'd all die.
- Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: Rimuru tries to devour Chakravartin, only for it to backfire horribly.
- Villain Respect: Satan expresses sincere admiration for Subaru's sheer determination and ability to keep his sanity after learning of the nature of his Return by Death ability, noting he himself struggled to do the same after being caught in a time loop. He even requests that the gods spare his opponent should he forfeit the match, though Subaru declines.
- Wham Episode: Shadow kills one of the Big Bads, winning the match, giving humanity their first victory over the gods.
- When She Smiles: Alpha and the other members of Shadow Gardens are shock to see Shadow smiling when facing off against Black and desire to be the ones to make him happy.
- Willfully Weak: Satan spends most of his fight with Subaru in his Ryo guise, and rather than any supernatural or superhuman abilities, simply uses a gun.
