Miraculous Alliance by KivatheDCWizard is a Miraculous Ladybug fanfic series, and an AU of season 2.

The point of divergence is after "The Collector", with a new Akumatized villain leading to Ladybug and Chat Noir discovering each other's identities and taking different decisions, including forming a permanent team (the titular Miraculous Alliance).

The first fanfic can be read on Archive of Our Own here and is complete. its sequel Season 2: Venom can be read here and is complete as well.

Miraculous Alliance contains examples of:

    open/close all folders

    Tropes for Season 1
  • Abusive Parent:
    • Audrey Bourgeois managed to top her show counterpart by not only being in regular contact with Chloé and belittling her every time rather than simply leaving her alone, but also by disowning her and trying to get her husband to do the same and kick her in the streets for finally retaliating as Queen Wasp.
    • Gabriel is not only as overly controlling as in the show, he has convinced Adrien that Emilie ran away because of him when he is responsible for her coma, intercepted the letters of his godfather to better isolate him, and when Adrien finally had enough, he tried to Akumatize him.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Both Silencer, Feast, and the Chinese Zodiac Miraculous Holders appear before Heroes Day.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Three cases:
    • Chloé's redemption arc sticks.
    • Lila grows over her grudge against Ladybug, and becomes a superheroine herself as Pipistrello.
    • Nathalie isn't following Gabriel as blindly as in canon, eventually realizing his madness and getting into a coma to try and stop him while also setting in motion the events that expose his identity.
  • Adaptational Karma:
    • Audrey Bourgeois ends up abandoned by her family.
    • Lila's lies were exposed right after the events of "Volpina", leading to nobody trusting her for a while and her being too scared to even try approaching anyone.
    • Gabriel is exposed as Hawk Moth before Heroes Day, and is defeated and captured during Heroes Day.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: Max in canon is stated to be asexual. Here he shows an obvious attraction to Lila and later starts to get a crush on Sabrina.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: A few cases:
    • In addition to his canon powers, Silencer can emit powerful sonic blasts by talking in his real voice.
    • The Rabbit Miraculous is the only one with abilities related to space and time, including opening portals and rewind time. As a result, the Snake Miraculous now has the power of Entrancement, and the Horse has Super-Speed.
    • Since this fanfic was made before their canon powers were officially revealed, other changes include the Pig giving the power to create a warphole from the mouth which can store large amounts of matter in a pocket space in the wielder's stomach, while the Tiger has a supersonic roar, the power of drawing weapons is given to the Rooster (who is also changed from Marc to Nathaniel) and the Goat is given the power to put its enemies to sleep.
  • Adaptational Villainy:
    • Audrey is far pettier than in canon, trying to disown Chloé for what she did to her as Queen Wasp.
    • Gabriel is directly responsible for Emilie's coma, as she overused the Peacock trying to stop his insane plans, and wants the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous to remold her in his perfect woman rather than have the Guardian heal her as she is.
  • Adaptational Weapon Swap:
  • Alternate Continuity: Oh so very much. While everything in Season One still happened, as did the first episode of Season Two, almost everything after that is a completely different continuity that could probably get its own page.
  • Anger Born of Worry: During "Prince Charming", Chloé takes a bad hit to the abdomen from the titular Akuma note  while buying time for his target Juleka to escape with Alix. Against Pollen's advice, Chloé transforms hoping it will lessen the pain and damage long enough for Ladybug to heal her with the Miraculous Cure. Pollen is so upset that she delivers Chloé a Full-Name Ultimatum. note
Pollen: CHLOÉ BOURGEOIS! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING TRANSFORMING WHILE INJURED? YOU COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!
  • Armor-Piercing Question: In "Prince Charming", when Juleka is calling Alix out for acting hostile to Chloé despite the latter's efforts in reforming from her Alpha Bitch days, she asks Alix if she can name one instant of Chloé doing something bad since "Zombizou"? Alix is horrified when she realizes her hot-headedness has made her act like the same bully that Chloé used to be.
  • Author Avatar: The minor character Kiva, whose Akumatization into Rider Brave leads to the AU.
  • Barbaric Bully: Noel Legrand, tormenting everyone with his brute force while being not too intelligent.
  • Been There, Shaped History: Isaac Newton discovered gravity as a result of Jinxx dropping an apple on him hoping it'd make him less of a bookworm.
  • Butt-Monkey: A few:
    • Early on, Kiva had various humiliating or just weird things happening to him. He grows out of this, except for his inexplicable ability to set soccer balls on fire with a touch..
    • Noel is humiliated every time he appears in an episode.
  • Chekhov's Gag: Kiva's ability to make soccer balls catch fire becomes useful when he needs to convince people he's an akuma.
    • While minor, he also makes soccer balls catch fire so they can be used as an effective projectile against the Moth Drones during Heroes Day.
  • Compelling Voice: Queen Bee starts to gain one as she trains in the power of Subjection, though stronger-minded individuals seem capable of ignoring it.
  • Composite Character:
    • Volpina 2.0 has both Volpina's powers and role on Heroes Day and on her second Akumatization receives the powers and role of Dark Cupid after he had been taken out.
    • In-Universe example with Nalia, a Sentimonster with the body type of Nathalie and hair, eye color, and white suit of Emilie; she represents Gabriel's twisted desire and view of both women to be always obedient to him. She also takes Nathalie's role as the akuma Catalyst during Heroes Day.
  • Connected All Along:
    • At the start of "Silencer", André tells Bob Roth that he plans to step down as mayor as he no longer sees himself as best for the city, and has faith in an upcoming candidate to not just win the election but also help Paris. Later in the episode, Rose is unable to sing for Kitty Section after screaming out of joy at really good news from her parents. At the end of the episode, a news report mentions that Rose's mother, Lupine Lavillant, is one of the mayoral candidates and is a favorite among the populace.
    • After the events of "Powerfist" and him moving in with his godfather Greg, Adrien starts visiting a therapist named Dr. De La Mer to recover from the emotional abuse and control of his father Gabriel. Following the session, she picks up a picture of her daughter Ondine from her desk.
  • Control Freak: Gabriel, as is canon, has a strong tendency to micromanage his son's life, even isolating him from his godfather after his wife's disappearance. It's later revealed that he was also this to his wife Emilie, wanting her to isolate her from the world and think he knows what's best for her. In chapter 45, Nathalie finds out that his plans for the Miraculouses aren't just to wake Emilie from her coma (which he caused when she tried to fight back) but to "fix" her into his ideal image, along with Adrien, Nathalie, and the rest of the city.
  • Covert Pervert: Juleka, as Chloé finds out when she finds one of Rose's bras on Juleka's bed.
  • Decomposite Character: As by Heroes Day Nathalie is into a coma after turning on Gabriel, Catalyst is instead a specially crafted Sentimonster.
  • Déjà Vu: When Prince Charming dresses up Alix, Luka, and Rose to be the Best Man, Bridesmaid, and Flower Girl for a wedding between him and Juleka, Rose notes the dress she got was familiar for some reason, implying it looked identical to the one she wore as Princess Fragrance.
  • Carry a Big Stick: Pipistrello's weapon of choice is a cartoon mallet. It even comes equipped with an Extendo Boxing Glove.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Nathalie is a skilled fighter even without a Miraculous. With one, she's all but undefeatable in hand-to-hand, as Powerfist and Hawk Moth learn the hard way.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Used occasionally:
    • Gabriel and Noel Legrand share certain egocentric tendencies, but in Noel they're way more pronounced, leaving Gabriel slightly disturbed.
    • When Bob Roth leaves his only son to get killed by Silencer because he had lost his voice to the Akuma and thus was useless to him and not worth confessing in public about cheating Kitty Section out of their success, everyone is shocked into a Stunned Silence at his actions.
  • Evil Counterpart: Rider Brave is a Corrupted Character Copy of Kamen Rider, down to using quotes from more notable Kamen Riders such as W and Gaim.
  • Expy: Much like how Emilie Agreste is modeled after Tara Strong, Greg Cipica is modeled after Greg Cipes.
  • Foil:
    • Brie Masterson, twice over:
      • To Lila, as while their grudges against Ladybug were started by something they did Lila had a somewhat better reason due to having been far less harmful and having Ladybug shouting at her, while Brie holds her in contempt for not supporting her Straw Feminist tendencies or threatening her way into winning a film contest; also, where Lila getting exposed leads to her becoming nicer and a superheroine, Brie being exposed (and not by Ladybug) leads to her becoming as bad if not worse than canon!Lila and Volpina 2.0.
      • To Ladybug, as Brie is a Straw Feminist who thinks she's a hero while Ladybug is an actual hero and doesn't hold males in contempt for being males.
    • OC Akuma Prince Charming (real identity Lysander Sangre) can be considered one to Princess Fragrance from the canon show. Both are royalty-themed Akumas (with a secondary theme of roses) who scheme to claim someone they're in love with (Prince Ali for Princess Fragrance and Juleka for Prince Charming). But while Princess Fragrance is slightly more subtle and coerces people to help her using her brainwashing perfume (as well as attacking with perfume shots), Prince Charming is more forceful, using thorned vines to capture his targets and attack his foes, as well as lacking any coercion abilities beyond words and threats.
  • Given Name Reveal: Greg addresses the Gorilla as Gerard, which is apparently his real name.
Adrien: "Wait, his name is Gerard?"
  • Glamour Failure: Downplayed, but Sabrina is eventually able to fight through the natural glamour of the Miraculous and discover that Chloé is Queen Bee. It leaves her with some minor headaches in the process, however.
  • Go Through Me: What Sabrina does during "Zombizou" to protect Chloé, instead of becoming a Human Shield like in canon.
  • Hard-Drinking Party Girl: Surprisingly, Nathalie of all people was this... At least before Emilie's disappearance.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Nathalie turns on Gabriel upon realizing his madness.
  • Heroic Lineage: Marinette's maternal aunt Brigette was the previous Ladybug and died in the line of duty. Her mother Sabine was picked as the Mouse Hero Lao Shu, while her father Tom was picked as the dog hero Loup-Garou.
  • History Repeats: After Luka finds out how Chloé protected his sister Juleka from Prince Charming at the cost of her own safety, he apologizes for his earlier actions sincerely. Chloé winds up falling for Luka in a manner not unlike how Marinette did with Adrien during the famous umbrella scene. It's even Lampshaded when Chloé recalls Marinette's explanation for why that happened.
"It was after the gum incident. He came to apologize, to clear things up. He was so sweet and genuine about it. I could see it in his eyes...the eyes never lie, they are a window to the soul. And he was such a gentle soul. It was when I looked into his eyes and soul and saw the real Adrien inside...I was lost."
Chloé: (thinking) Oh my god, am I crushing?
  • In Spite of a Nail: The Heroes Day battle happens in spite of Lila becoming good and a superheroine and Nathalie turning on Gabriel and exposing his identity.
  • Irony: During Heroes' Day, Lila, as Pipistrello, calls out Brie Masterson, as Volpina, for putting all of Paris in danger over a grudge and wonders why anyone would do that. Of course, Canon!Lila tends to do just that all the time...
  • It's All About Me: Two characters:
    • Gabriel believes everything is owed to him and they should just follow his wisdom for their own good and willfully ignores everything contradicting his vision.
    • Noel Legrand sees himself as the most awesome person in the world and is delusional well beyond Gabriel's levels. Even Gabriel is somewhat disturbed by his delusions.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Greg Cipica, Adrien's godfather, was in love with Emilie, but never told her after she got with Gabriel.
  • Jiggle Show: Pipistrello takes the time during her introduction to bounce her "killer Thing-1 and Thing-2". Cat Noir and Carapace have to verbally remind themselves that they're both spoken for.
  • Leave No Witnesses: After being exposed as Hawkmoth, Gabriel Agreste hides in an abandoned building and finds out there's a hobo already living there. He transforms and tells the hobo he "can't leave any witnesses".
  • Lesser of Two Evils: André Bourgeois says he only kept being reelected as Mayor of Paris "because the competition was worse".
  • Loophole Abuse: Natalie is under a Geas that keeps her from talking about Gabriel and Emilie's involvement with the Miraculous unless it was someone already in the know. However, as she is one of the people can talk with, Natalie gets around it by recording her making a "The Reason You Suck" Speech to herself, which later allows the heroes to learn that Gabriel is Hawkmoth.
  • Mooks: The Moth Swarm, a number of Hawk Moth's butterflies turned into human-sized minions armed with butterfly knives. Also, some Akuma can turn people into their own minions.
  • Mutual Masquerade: During the previous Ladybug's time, Tom was Loup-Garou and Sabine was Lao Shu. Each one only learns about the other years after their marriage and it only came up because they figured out Marinette is the current Ladybug.
  • Never My Fault: Gabriel and Noel are unable to accept that anything bad that happens to them may be their fault. Gabriel is slightly better, as at times he has doubts.
  • Noblewoman's Laugh: Queen Bee finishes her "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Style Queen with a laugh of this manner, even noting to herself how she sounds like an actual Ojou from an anime
  • Noodle Incident: Somehow a Moth Swarm (who keep in mind is actually just a butterfly) became an ordained priest.
  • Not Brainwashed: Some Akumatized on Heroes Day:
    • Brie Masterson lets herself be Akumatized in Volpina 2.0 twice because she thinks she can be a better heroine than Ladybug and Paris deserves destruction for supporting her.
    • Noel Legrand and Sarah Benoit want to be Akumatized, the former due to his grudge against the heroes, the latter because Akumatization gives a rush to her life.
    • On a more humorous note, Pipistrello doesn't act as silly as she does due to the influence of the Kwami of Randomness, but because Lila deep down had always wanted to do it and her Miraculous finally gave her a healthy outlet for it.
  • Not Hyperbole: Sabrina notes that when Marinette had announced that she and Adrien were finally dating, she was singing it from the rooftops. Sabrina also notes how lovely Marinette's singing voice is.
  • Official Couple: We get Marinette/Adrien, with Alya/Nino as the Beta Couple, but here we also get Chloé/Luka as another surprise couple.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Jagged Stone's real name is Jeremiah but the only people he allows to call him that are his mother and Penny when he "rightfully did something to piss her off".
  • Original Character: Various, providing a few comprimaries and Akumatized villains. Story-wise, the most important are:
    • Noel Legrand and Kiva, as the former getting the latter Akumatized triggered the AU.
    • Jinxx, the Kwami of Randomness, for getting Lila out of her funk and helping her to redeem herself.
    • Greg Cipica, Adrien's godfather, for getting Adrien out of Gabriel's clutches and causing Nathalie's Heel Realization.
    • Brie Masterson for taking Volpina's role in Heroes Day, allowing Gabriel's endgame to happen.
  • Papa Wolf:
    • Whenever someone tries anything genuinely bad against Chloé, Andrè Bourgeois instantly grows a spine and will do his worst to punish the culprit. Just ask Audrey and Bob Roth.
    • Greg Cipica may just be Adrien's godfather, but when he learned the full extent of what the actual father had done he first took an Akuma for him and then hijacked his own Akumatization and became the most powerful Champion ever just to try and murder Gabriel-and then Hawk Moth for trying to Akumatize Adrien.
  • Parental Substitute: Greg Cipica becomes Adrien's father figure after "Powerfist".
  • Parents as People:
    • Andrè Bourgeous truly loves his daughter but he's somewhat easily browbeaten and has to juggle his parental responsibilities with running a hotel and being the mayor of Paris. This plays in his decision to not run for re-election. That said, harm or insult Chloé at your own risk.
    • Amara Rossi is shown to love her daughter... But, being a diplomat, she's rarely at home, and Lila greatly suffered for it. After finding out about Lila's issues she manages to free some time for her.
    • Emilie Agreste wanted Adrien to have friends besides Chloé, but let herself be talked into keeping him isolated by Gabriel. She overused the Peacock Miraculous in the attempt to get Adrien away from Gabriel after realizing what he was truly like.
    • Gabriel is actually just an overly controlling jerk.
    • Completely Averted with Audrey Bourgeois and Bob Roth, the former belittling and insulting Chloé on every occasion while rarely bothering to remember her name, and the latter leaving XY to get killed by Silencer because, having lost his voice to the Akuma, he was now useless to him and not worth admitting he had cheated Kitty Section out of their success. The latter is notable because even Silencer is appalled.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: Alix and, surprisingly enough, Lila.
  • Pie in the Face: Lila does this to herself during her transformation into Pipistrello. Wiping off the cream is what manifests her mask.
  • Power at a Price: Two cases:
    • A Miraculous Holder can unlock the secondary powers early through a potion, but this has severe consequences. By unlocking the Moth Swarm, Gabriel is plunged into a coma for days and loses various memories, including Queen Bee's Secret Identity, and it may have damaged his sanity.
      • Mayura uses a similar potion to stave off the collateral effects of using the broken Peacock Miraculous longer for any use. This however increases the long-term damage, forcing her into a coma much faster.
    • Being broken, the Peacock Miraculous damages the user's natural ability to store mana, eventually making them lose it altogether and killing them unless they receive constant infusions - and even then they are forced into a coma. This is why Emilie is in the coffin, and the same fate falls on Nathalie.
  • Power Gives You Wings: Both Ladybug and Queen Bee eventually gain the ability to fly due to both of them being based on winged insects.
  • Promotion to Parent: Since it's just their mother raising them and she often has to take up double shifts to pay the bills, Luka doubles as Big Brother Mentor and the closest thing to a father figure for his sister Juleka
  • Retired Badass: Marinette's parents are the former holders of the Dog and Mouse Miraculouses.
  • Running Gag: Two of them:
    • Every time Kiva kicks or even touches a soccer ball (or a spheric object he wants to kick), it bursts into flames for no apparent reason. The only balls he hasn't set on fire were meatballs.
    • Noel Legrand being hit in the head and the narration remarking that, having been hit there, no damage had been caused.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: Noel tends to do this when he freaks out or suffers pain.
  • Shed the Family Name: Adrien, after Gabriel is outed as Hawk Moth, takes his mother's name.
  • Shout-Out: After Tom and Sabine figure out Marinette is Ladybug, the former asks how Sabine thinks it happened, saying it's "Not like she was bitten by a radioactive magical bug or something".
  • Sixth Ranger:
    • Pipistrello, the Holder of the Bat Miraculous, AKA Lila.
    • 11th-Hour Ranger: On Heroes Day, the team gives Holders to all the available Miraculous.
  • Slapstick: Every single fight involving Pipistrello will have large amounts of this.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Shortly after they start dating, Adrien and Marinette try making out in a broom closet like in the movies… Only to find it too cramped and cluttered to do more than deliver each other Amusing Injuries.
Adrien: This was a bad idea. All those movies lied to me. Broom closets are not good for making out.
  • Too Dumb to Live:
    • Noel Legrand. He's so stupid that when he's being Akumatized Hawk Moth's voice in his head gets echoes, and he constantly provokes all sorts of people while claiming he's just too awesome for the world. As a result, in one chapter he gets publicly beaten up and humiliated three times in fifteen minutes, and he's eventually sent to a school for troubled children.
    • Rather than admitting he plagiarized Kitty Section, Bob Roth knowingly insults and provokes the mayor's daughter, the heroes trying to save him from Silencer, and even Silencer himself, with the latter having literally threatened his life if he doesn't confess. While Silencer doesn't get him, the heroes set him up for an Engineered Public Confession, and Andrè Bourgeois shows up to personally destroy him.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Various uses:
    • A Miraculous user's abilities develop with time, with them being chosen as teens so they'll develop faster. Thus the team not only becomes stronger the more they have them, they even unlock new abilities. In particular, Chat Noir becomes much more powerful, being arguably the strongest member of the Miraculous Alliance by the time of the final battle.
    • Various characters start out without a Miraculous before receiving it. In particular, Nathalie gets a hold of the Peacock Miraculous, Lila outrights creates the Bat Miraculous by bonding with the Kwami of Randomness, and most of the class, plus Kagami and Luka, receive the Chinese Zodiac Miraculouses during the final battle.
  • Villain Forgot to Level Grind: Played with:
    • At first played straight for Hawk Moth, and Justified: a Miraculous user is usually chosen as a teen so their powers will develop quickly, but Hawk Moth is already an adult and his powers will take much longer to increase... Something Nooroo purposefully hid from him until directly asked.
    • Then Defied once Hawk Moth asks Nooroo why he isn't unlocking new abilities, forcing him to reveal the existence of a potion that forces the development.
    • During the final battle, the returning Akuma Champions are just as strong as they were during their first summoning. Copycat gets this spelled out for him by Ladybug during their fight-one much more unbalanced than he had expected.
  • Your Brain Won't Be Much of a Meal: In Chapter 43, Minoscorn desperately says the Minotaur Frog is trying to eat his brain. Ladybug says "The poor thing will starve".

    Tropes For Season 2: Venom
  • 10-Minute Retirement: Lysander, between breaking up with Kagami and learning his dad was Latombe (and it didn't help that Latombe had just been murdered by Mahamayuri), decided to give up the Lion Miraculous while he sorts out his feelings. In the following arc, he decides to continue being a hero and a guardian, and rejoins the team.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Latombe is hyped up as being in a Big Bad Duumvirate with the mysterious Mahamayuri… until it becomes clear that he was only an Unwitting Pawn and in way over his head, even against Miraculous holders several decades younger than him.
  • Cain and Abel: The Legrand brothers, Noel and Vincent, have this dynamic, especially when they gained magic jewelry. Vincent/Sureshot is the heroic Abel while Noel/Ouroboros becomes the villainous Cain.
  • Deconstruction: Multiversity's minions seem to be one for Salt Fics of Miraculous Ladybug, as their typical salt-fic actions wind up destroying each of their worlds.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Nooroo and Duusu finally get heroic individuals for holders in the form of Aurore Beauréal and Jean Duparc (as Pink Prominent and Melek Taus, respectively).
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Most of Multiversity's minions are stunned at how their main counterparts could do so well just by not doing what they did. The only exception is Twinno (the alternate Nino) who knows fully well he screwed up and that Nino is the better of them. Unfortunately, he feels like there's no going back at this point.
  • Evil Counterpart: The villain Multiversity brings in evil versions of the main six Miraculous heroes. She herself turns out to be one to Bunnyx, due to being an alternate Alix Kubdel.
  • Expy: Multiversity’s minions are evil alternate counterparts to the heroes who made bad choices and destroyed their whole worlds, similar to the Dark Knights.
  • Foil: Gustav Latombe is one to Gabriel Agreste. Both are the villainous fathers of two young men who eventually become superheroes. But while Gabriel tried to control every aspect of Adrien's life, Latombe purposefully made sure Lysander would never be affected by his evil schemes.
  • Fusion Dance: During the final battle against Mahamayuri, Ladybug and Cat Noir find a way to fuse their Miraculouses without using the wish, creating Omni, the perfect unity of heart and soul that can protect all of reality.
  • Given Name Reveal: This season reveals that Kiva's real name is Joeri De Waegemaeker.
  • Good Counterpart:
    • Though she's not able to summon them at will, Pink Prominent is able to change the Moth Swarm into the more adorable Butterfly Brigade, who make use of parasols to act as a defensive unit.
    • Much like how Rena Rouge is this for the Akuma Volpina, Ondine's hero form of Aquara has some similarities to her Akumatized form Syren.
  • Hidden Depths: When Team Miraculous first meets Antimena, Roi Singe is among the first to recognize the name is from a species of Chameleon.
Bunnyx: How do you know that?
Roi Singe: I have a whole life and a whole amount of secret knowledge none of you know anything about.
  • Honorable Elephant: Mr. Choo-Choo is given the Elephant Miraculous, becoming the Mammoth Express.
  • Hypocritical Humor: In the post-Toyman interlude, Juleka remarks that while she likes seeing Luka and Chloé getting along, she tells them she doesn't want to see them make her into an aunt. Luka reminds her that she's just as bad with Rose, especially as earlier she considers swapping their Miraculous to spice up their Thursday night.
  • I Hate Past Me: Both Queen Bee and Pipistrello are given painful reminders of their awful histories through their evil alternate counterparts. Both of them have grown past such bitchiness and make sure their doppelgangers know it.
  • Kill the God: The Kwami Hunter is determined to kill every kwami he encounters.
  • King of Beasts: Lysander gets the Lion Miraculous and becomes Leo Major with the power of Transmutation. He temporarily retires from being a hero, although he chose to come back and become a Miraculous holder again.
  • Luke, I Am Your Father: Latombe turns out to be Lysander's biological father.
    • Mahamayuri is eventually revealed to be Wang Fu's sister.
  • The Magic Comes Back: Thanks to the Miraculous Alliance, the world is once again accepting of magic and superheroes. Not only does this allow the United HeroeZ to return to the spotlight, but new heroes show up. Including cameos from other Zagtoon shows both current and upcoming, such as Ghost Force, Zak Storm, LadyLion and LadyDragon from the Miraculous World specials, and new shows Pixie Girl and Miss Rose.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee all obtain the highest form of power their Miraculouses can achieve during the fight with their Evil Counterparts. This even includes gaining armored forms.
  • Mum Looks Like a Sister: Justified in that she was in suspended animation for years, but Emilie still looks good for her age, enough that wearing a leotard is still flattering to her figure.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: Scott (and by extension, Snapp) averts this when he gets the Crocodile Miraculous and becomes Gharial, a crocodile-themed superhero with the power of Incapacitation.
  • Noble Bird of Prey: Reece gets the Golden Eagle Miraculous and becomes Eryer with the power of Spiritualization.
  • Noodle Incident: When Future Bunnyx whispers something to her present time self to prove who she is, Bunnyx says she could have told her computer password, 'not that'. Roi Singe asks if that's one of those 'noodle incidents'.
  • Not Hyperbole: In typical Pipstrello fashion, when she leaps into action against the giant robot Scrapper calling "Incoming Ham", her weapon of choice is… A giant hunk of ham.
  • Official Couple: Once Emilie and Greg stop dancing around each other's feelings, they cement their relationship for real.
  • The Phoenix: Kiva gets the Phoenix Miraculous and becomes Ranger Blaze with the power of Augmentation.
  • Powers as Programs: To beat Toybot, who has data on all of their fighting skills and abilities, Team Miraculous (at the moment the main five plus Sabrina and Max) swap their Miraculouses to create new fighting styles that confuse Latombe's machine.
  • A Pupil of Mine Until He Turned to Evil: Latombe was originally the previous Dragon Miraculous holder and started as a rather timid boy before being chosen and he was trained by Master Fu as a future guardian after Felix declined the offer. However, he became more bold and more reckless, ultimately forcing Bridgette, Felix, and their team to take him down when he literally went through her to get to an orc.
  • Relationship Upgrade: Max and Sabrina eventually wind up as a couple. Kim promises to tease Max about it to no end.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Mr. Choo-Choo, an old toy of Adrien's that was thrown out years ago by Gabriel. During the story, it was brought back as a Sentimentel with the power to enhance the Butterfly's Tenshification powers and gains the might of the Elephant Miraculous' Maximize power.
  • Robot Superhero: Markov becomes one named Roborion with the power of the Miraculous of Innovation.
  • Shout-Out:
    • During the fight against Latombe's giant monster, some of the heroes employ a Super Sentai style giant robot, while others use a nuclear-level rock concert styled after the Hibiki episode of Kamen Rider Decade.
    • When Mahamayuri claims to sense a disturbance, Latombe asks if it's in the force.
  • Something Only They Would Say: Ondine/Aquara realizes that Roi Singe is her boyfriend Kim when he calls her 'dine.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Slapping a Beta Couple together just because of a Commonality Connection won't guarantee the relationship will last. The author realized this, and so decided to split up Lysander and Kagami.
  • "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue: Takes place in a not-so-Distant Finale several years after Mahamayuri is defeated.
    • Marinette and Adrien finally get married. Adrien decides not to get back into modeling, instead using his trust fund to open a youth center. Marinette succeeded in becoming a successful fashion designer under the label MDC.
    • Alya and Nino would marry soon after their friends, with Alya becoming a successful reporter and Nino becoming a professional DJ and indie movie director.
    • Greg and Emilie have a daughter together, and Emilie is able to get back into acting in the cheesy action flicks she loves. She also starts working with André Bourgeois, who decided to get back into directing after stepping down from the hotel business.
    • Chloé would get into the business world, being handed the reigns of Penny Rolling's record company and becoming a successful CEO. She and Luka also got married.
    • While Kitty Section would eventually break apart, they'd get back together every so often. Luka stayed on the music scene with a successful career, during which he learned his idol Jagged Stone was actually his dad. Despite the surprise, the two maintain a good father-son relationship, with Penny as a supportive stepmother (she and Jagged wound up marrying).
    • Juleka soon got over her shyness to become a successful fashion model for MDC and started a makeup blog on YouTube. She and Rose would eventually get married.
    • Rose and Mylène would team up to form numerous charities for a number of causes, with endorsement from Price Ali of Achu. Mylène also maintained a successful acting career while Rose became a songwriter. Mylene would also marry Ivan, who found his calling as a renowned poet.
    • Kim, Ondine, and Kagami would become Olympic gold medalists. After retiring, Kim and Ondine became swim coaches while Kagami took over as head of Tsurugi Industries' French branch.
    • Nathaniel and Marc, after marrying, found success with their new Miraculous comic, which would go on to get both a film and TV adapation.
    • Max would become a renowned inventor while Sabrina would become a private investigator.
    • Lila became a champion soccer player in Italy for a few years before retiring to become a soccer coach in Paris.
