Everything she deserved is a Amphibia Continuation fanfiction by Double_Trouble_36, which can be read on Archive of Our Own.

After the events of Amphibia, Sasha's mother kicks her out of the house and Sasha must figure out what to do with her life while stewing in her own angst. Marcy and Anne try and help, but she shuts them out.

All spoilers for Amphibia will be left unmarked in the trope examples below. You Have Been Warned!

  • Adaptational Gender Identity: Marcy, Sasha, and Anne were all cisgender girls in Amphibia, but they are all trans or nonbinary here.
    • Anne is a trans girl.
    • Sasha is bigender and uses both he/him and she/her pronouns.
    • Marcy is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: While Anne's orientation is ambiguous in canon, she's lesbian here.
  • Adult Hater: Justified with Sasha, who hates adults due to trauma. As he explains, they either are mean or they try to "save" him without actually listening to what he has to say.
  • Alcoholic Parent: Sasha's mother drinks a lot and ends up kicking Sasha out in a fit of rage.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: Sasha calls his mother out for letting her pedophile boyfriend sleep with him and refusing to send him to therapy because it's "too inconvenient" for her.
  • Career-Ending Injury: Sasha used to be an award-winning cheerleader before her back (and ankle) were slashed open; now she is a social pariah that can barely score a C in PE.
  • Creator Provincialism: The fic seems to take place in LA, but everyone uses Commonwealth English like "maths" and "jumper" (in reference to a sweater).
  • Darker and Edgier: This fic is mostly Deconstruction on steroids. Anne and Sasha have PTSD from the events of Amphibia, and Sasha has chronic pain from a wound on her back and lost an eye. Sasha also gets kicked out of the house by her alcoholic mother because she dared to criticize her parenting style. Marcy, Sasha, and Anne all have permanent disabilities and trauma from events in canon, and are ostracized because of it.
  • Deconstruction Fic: Realistically, three Child Soldiers that experience things that would leave grown adults quaking in their boots would not go away from the experience unscathed. Marcy is stuck in a wheelchair after being stabbed by Andrias, Anne lost an arm, and Sasha both lost an eye and has chronic pain from having her back split open; making it hard for her to walk without a cane or crutches. Anne and Sasha are also noted to have PTSD, and Sasha's remains untreated.
  • Dirty Cop: Sasha's mother's pedophile boyfriend was a cop. When one of Sasha's teachers threatens to call the cops on her for living without a parent on the streets, she is noted to visibly shy away and she has a trauma flashback.
  • Disabled in the Adaptation: The Calamity Trio all have disabilities here that they didn't have in canon.
    • Anne has a prosthetic arm and has PTSD.
    • Sasha is missing an eye and has chronic pain from his back injury, so he needs to use crutches or a cane during a flare-up. He also has PTSD and BPD.
    • Marcy is explicitly autistic here, while she was only confirmed to be so in canon. They note  also use a wheelchair and have synesthesia.
  • Forced from Their Home: Sasha is kicked out by her mother for calling her a bad parent, and lives on the streets.
  • Full-Name Ultimatum: Anne's mother refers to her by her full name after Anne broke a window.
  • Gosh Dang It to Heck!: Sasha exclaims "Kakashka!" note  after falling from a tree.
  • Hates Their Parent: Justified. Sasha resents her mother for letting her boyfriend molest her and ignoring Sasha's trauma after the fact.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Sasha thinks she's worthless and doesn't deserve love even after saving the world, even though Anne and Marcy try their best to refute this.
  • Lecherous Stepparent: Sasha's mother's boyfriend slept with her and her mother chooses to ignore it.
  • Parental Substitute: Mr and Mrs. Boonchuy are replacement parents to Sasha after they realize that his biological parents are absolute rubbish parents.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Marcy reassures Sasha that she is stronger than she thinks she is and that she will get through whatever is happening to her.
