Anything for Family
is a Pretty Cure fanfic hosted on Archive of Our Own. A part of The Kedabory Verse, it began publication on March 9th, 2023.
After Hana wakes up to find Hugtan missing, she uncovers a major kidnapping among the Pretty Cure's families. Together, they all go out on a quest to find them.
On the final day of publishing, a sequel titled Don't Cry For Me, I've Already Wilted came out, which shifted focus primarily onto Saki.

- Alcohol Hic: A drunk Joker briefly hiccups while trying (and failing) to explain a revenge scheme to Rosemary.
- Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: Downing a whole bottle of rum before bed causes Joker to wake up in the middle of the night acting strange, hardly able to form basic sentences.
- Baby Talk: Hugtan waking up in the morning is described as waking up from her "night-night sleep".
- Bear Hug: Love gives one to Inori when she returns home with Chiffon.
- Big Bad: The Masked Shadow, who kidnapped the Cure's friends and family in an attempt to lure them out and kill them.
- Break Them by Talking: The Masked Shadow tries to discourage Cure Rhythm from searching by putting doubtful thoughts in her head. It puts Rhythm on edge, and makes her edgy about their success, but ultimately fails as the Cures still find the lair and defeat him anyway.
- Color Failure: Hana goes white in the face when Ruru suggests that Hugtan was kidnapped.
- Cooldown Hug: Cure Pine hugs Cure Earth to console her about Latte being missing.
- Drunken Glow: When Hikari wakes up in the middle of the night to Rosemary soothing a drunk Joker, she believes him to have a fever because of his red face.
- Elmuh Fudd Syndwome: Chiho calls Ruru "Wuwu" as part of her Baby Talk.
- Enemy Mine: Joker agrees to work alongside the Cures to defeat the Masked Shadow, since he had kidnapped his daughter Maimiko.
- Face Doodling: Nao and Akira draw on Joker's face while he sleeps off his drunkenness.
- Fan-Created Offspring: Two fan-created children appear; Rosemary's daughter Chiho, and Joker and Poisony's daughter Maimiko.
- The Glomp: This is how the Doki Doki! PreCure welcome Makoto home from her mission; they all jump on her so hard, it knocks her off her feet and launches Ai-chan into the air.
- Green Thumb: Cure Blossom and Cure Flora team up to use their flower powers to break into the Masked Shadow's lair. Cure Flora later uses her Petal Power to choke the Masked Shadow.
- The Heart: Inori keeps the Cures from fighting with each other and helps them keep calm.
- Light 'em Up: Shiny Luminous and Cure Etoile fight the Masked Shadow with their light powers. This is said to disorient him due to his association with darkness..
- Mister Seahorse: As a tie-in to another Kedabory Verse fic, Welcoming Chiho, it's mentioned that Rosemary, who is male, carried Chiho to term and gave birth to her.
- Mouth Taped Shut: Joker uses some Bad Energy to tape Cure Marine's mouth shut, saying she's annoying.
- Ocular Gushers: Rosemary cries rivers of tears over his daughter Chiho going missing. He cries waterfalls when he finally reunites with her.
- Papa Wolf: Rosemary and Joker join the quest to rescue their daughters. Rosemary/Cure Fragrance, along with his daughter Chiho, are the ones to find the room where the kids are being held hostage, while Joker, driven to intense rage over the threat to his daughter Maimiko, is the one to ultimately kill the Masked Shadow.
- Rule of Three: The Cures split into three teams to search for their missing friends.

- In the first chapter, Hugtan is mentioned to have a Noko plushie.
- The second chapter is titled "Let's Split Up, Gang".
- Soul Eating: Joker delivers the final blow in killing the Masked Shadow by eating his soul. The epilogue mentions it gave him indigestion.
- Tears of Joy: Rosemary cries these when he finally finds Chiho, relieved that she is safe. Chiho is just as happy to see her papa again, shrieking with joy when she does.
