    General 
  • Take a shot if the game crashes just as you were saving.
    • Down a bottle if you just started a new save file, and the first time you save is denied by a game crash.
  • Take a drink every time you encounter a Game-Breaking Bug that forces you to uninstall and reinstall the game.
    • Take a second drink if that doesn't work and you have to search for a solution online.
  • Take a small sip for each species you encounter that is of your own creation.
  • If you have a theme set when playing, take a shot for each creation you encounter that does not come from that theme, and there are creations of that type in your theme.
    • And another if it's a Maxis creation.

    Cell Stage 
  • Take two shots if a Goldy immediately targets your cell as soon as you emerged from the meteor.note 
  • Take a shot if you get the Spike part token before the Pokey cutscene.
    • If you're playing on Hard difficulty, take a sip instead if you get the Spike part before the Pokey cutscene would have happened.
  • Take a sip each time a cell with an unlockable part you don't own dies but it doesn't drop the token.
    • Another if it's a Squirty.
  • Take a shot each time a Peer-sized Spiked Shyster is killed.
    • Another if it was you who killed it. And yet another if it was also on Hard difficulty.
  • Take a shot if a carnivore's bite knocks you into another carnivore's jaws.
    • Another if it ends up in your death.
  • Take a shot if a predator-sized cell immediately stops chasing another cell to chase you instead.note 
    • And another if there were multiple cells it could have attacked instead.
    • And yet another if its previous victim escapes unscathed and would've been eaten anyways.
    • Finish the bottle if the predator cell does a full 180 to target you over its previous target.
  • Take a shot each time a hostile cells denies you a part token.
  • Take a shot each time your potential mate dies onscreen.
  • Take a sip for each friendly cell that dies onscreen.
  • Down the bottle if an Epic Megamouth was killed from eating a Puffish.
    • And down another bottle if it was not intentional.
    • Down two more bottles if it happens more than once in a single game.
  • Take a shot if you did not pick up the Spike part at all in the Cell Stage.
    • Finish the bottle if you managed to complete the Cell Stage without collecting any parts.
  • Take a sip each time you eat an egg just as a Junior hatches from it.
    • Add a shot if the Junior bites you, too.
  • Take a shot if you get ganged up on by Juniors.
    • Add a sip if they kill you.
  • Take a sip if you complete Cell Stage on Hard difficulty, and did not die once.
    • Down a bottle if you did, and take an additional sip for each additional death.

    Creature Stage 
  • Take a shot for each creature that gets stuck during the landfall cutscene.
    • And another if one of your nest-mates does not lay an egg immediately after.
  • Take a shot if your socialization is interrupted by a creature stunning you with Charge.
    • Another if it was because of the meteor shower event.
    • Two more if the spaceship appears, followed by a sip if the creature you were socializing then gets abducted.
      • Add another shot if it's a Rogue Creature.
  • Take a shot if the spaceship appears and it belongs to the Grox.
  • Take a shot for each minion summoned by Summon Flock that gets killed while you are socializing.
  • Take a shot if your potential mating partner just laid an egg in front of you.
    • And another if you actually do mate with them.
  • Take a shot if you encounter a glitched floating egg.
  • Take a shot if the game crashes after you die.
    • And another if you die while migrating.
  • Take a shot if you unlock a full row of parts from a single skeleton or Tier 4 Alpha creature.note 
  • Take two shots if you are targeted by an Epic Creature while socializing.
  • Take a sip for each large skeleton you dig up in an Epic Creature's territory without using Sneak.
  • Finish the bottle if you complete Creature Stage as a Carnivore with the Social trait card.note 
  • Take a shot if if you complete Creature Stage as a Herbivore with the Predator trait card.note 

    Tribal Stage 
  • Take a shot each time a hostile tribe tries to raid you.
    • And another for each raid you thwart with a gift.
    • And yet another if the gift fails and you have to fight anyways.
    • Down the bottle if multiple tribes raid you simultaneously.
    • Take a triumphant sip if you defeat the raiders.
  • Take a shot if someone from a tribe that dislikes yours attempts to steal food.
    • Add a sip if killing them turns the tribe hostile. Make it a shot instead if the tribe becomes hostile the moment they take the food.
    • And another if the tribe attempts a raid immediately afterward.
  • Take a sip if a tribe member eats a fruit or seaweed and it's a carnivore, or a piece of meat/fish if it's a herbivore.
  • Take a shot if the other tribes start appearing before you completely ally with or destroy the first tribe.
    • Two shots if its on Normal difficulty, or three if it's on Hard difficulty.
  • Take a shot if one of your tribe members dies. Make it a sip instead of a shot if it's due to starvation.
    • Another if it's the Chieftain.
    • Down a bottle if a baby dies.
  • Take a shot if an alien spaceship abducts your livestock.
  • Down a bottle if your Traps ability kills an Epic Creature.

    Civilization Stage 
  • If you did not start as an Economic nation:
    • Take a shot for each Economic Vehicle you loot from a leftover tribe.
    • Take a sip for each Economic city that forms on the planet.
      • And another if it's on your starting continent.
      • And yet another if a newly founded Military nation immediately targets it for conquest.
      • Toast yourself a drink if an economic nation survives until the end of the stage.
  • Take a shot if another nation claims the spice geyser you were going to claim.
  • Take a sip each time one of your vehicles gets one-shotted by an Epic Creature.
  • Take a shot for each nation that declares war on you after capturing your first city.
    • And another if another nation makes a capture before you.
  • (If you have Galactic Adventures) Take a shot each time a rival nation's city uses a GA prop as a building.
  • If a nation goes to war with you due to the "You're a threat to us" relationship penalty, take a shot for each city they own at the time.
    • Double that amount if you're an Economic nation.
      • Triple if you're trying to win via Economic means and that penalty prevents you from starting a trade route with them.
    • Take a sip of relief if you manage to make peace with them without using Diplo Dervish.
  • Take two shots if another nation requests you to assist them against another nation, and denying would put you at war with them.
  • Take a triumphant sip for each city you earn for winning trough a Diplomatic Takeover.
  • Take a shot if you use Diplo Dervish offensively to stall an enemy nation while you're taking over their cities.
    • Take another shot if you're doing it economically by trading with them quickly and buying out their cities before they come to their senses, taking an additional sip for each city you buy out that way.
      • Take a third if the relationship bonus from the trade routes allows you to remain friends with that nation even after the Diplo Dervish wears off.
  • Take a shot for each enemy vehicle that leaves the blast radius of your Mighty Bomb before it lands.
  • Take a sip if the color of your trait card at the end of the stage does not match the color of your trait card from the Tribal Stage.
    • Have an epic toast if your trait cards are Carnivore, Predator, Friendly, and Economic upon finishing the Civilization Stage.
  • Take a shot for each charred rubble pile you make from using ICBMs.
  • If you are using Gadget Bomb to capture a single city, take a sip instead for each charred rubble pile.
  • Take three shots for each nation that declares war on you after using Gadget Bomb or ICBMs (Although if you're using the latter, it wouldn't really matter.)

    Space Stage 
  • Take a decently-sized drink if the spice color of the planet you are instructed to colonize is not red.
    • If you decided to Save Scum for a rarer spice type, take another sip for every reset it took until you were satisfied with the result.
    • Take a shot if you decided to colonize a different planet. note 
  • Take a shot if, upon reaching the Space Stage, a non-sentient version of your species is present among the wildlife.
  • Take a shot if the first alien empire that you come into contact with is an aggressive Warrior or Zealot empire.
  • Take a shot each time pirates raid your empire.
    • And another if it's your homeworld.
    • Double that amount if the enemy ships actually belong to an empire that is at war with you, but the mission refers to them as "unknown assailants".
  • Take a sip if pirates attempt to plunder your spice.
  • Take a shot if your empire or an ally empire calls you for help and you're very far away from them.
  • Take a shot whenever an empire demands tribute from you.
    • Take another sip if it's a Warrior or Zealot empire.
    • And another if refusing starts a war with them.
  • Take a shot if another empire takes claims a system just as you were about to colonize it.
  • Take a shot each time you notice that a Diplomat or Trader empire has gotten bigger.
  • Take a shot if a Diplomat or Trader empire colonizes a barren planet.
  • Take a shot if some madlad colonizes a spiceless planet (the one with the destroyed cities you're sent to during the tutorial).
  • Take a shot if your allies start fighting each other.
    • Add another if one of them happens to be a species that you uplifted, and another if both of them are.
  • Take a sip if a species you uplift is the same archetype as yours.
    • (Unless it was deliberate or you started out as one) Down a shot in frustration if a species that you uplift becomes a Zealot empire.
  • Take a sip in celebration if an uplifted species is an archetype you were gunning for.
    • Make it a shot if you employed Save Scumming to make sure it uplifted to the right archetype, then add a sip for each reload it took until you were happy.
  • Take a shot whenever one of your allies is attacked by the Grox.
  • Take a sip each time a Zealot empire mentions Spode.
  • Take a shot each time you enter a planet with a rare signal only to be ambushed by pirates.
    • And another if you take any damage at all.
    • Upon approaching a save game candidate system, take three shots for each planet that emits the rare signal.note 
    • If the planet doesn't have a pirate ambush, take a sip if there is more than one rare object on that planet.
  • Take a shot if an occupied planet emits a rare signal.
    • If there is more than one rare object on the planet, add a sip for each additional one.
  • Take a shot for every T3 planet you find that isn't a homeworld for a Tribe, a Civilization, or an Empire.
    • Take a large drink for every T0 planet with air funnel hazards you find.
    • Finish the bottle and down another if you somehow find Earth without looking up its coordinates.
  • Take a shot for each empire that goes to war with you because you used a Planet Buster close enough to them.
    • Make it two if it was Gravitation Wave or Fanatical Frenzy that pissed them off.
    • Add an additional shot if you were using them in an attempt to ally the Grox.
  • Take a shot if you successfully use Fanatical Frenzy or Gravitation Wave on an alien homeworld and no other empire calls you out for it.
    • Make it a normal sip if you use it on the Grox and they don't say a word of protest.
  • Have a drink each time you are killed by The Grox.
    • And another if you hit a dead end while travelling to the center of the galaxy.
  • Take a sip for each empire you met that declares war on you after forming an alliance with The Grox.note 
  • Finish the bottle and down another one if the game crashes while playing an Archetype-specific Adventure in the Space Stage.
    • Down an additional bottle for each archetype-specific Adventure you have to replay if you didn't save after completing them.
  • Finish the bottle if the game randomly crashes with an "ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000084" error. You will need to check the log file in the executable's folder.
    • Down an additional bottle for each hour of unsaved progress wiped by that crash.
