Rogue elements is a table top game set in a far future where everything’s gone a bit wrong. Humanity has destroyed its great galactic empire with a huge war, and is trying to get it back to how it was before. This isn’t easy as a rival human empire is trying to make its own way in the universe and antagonise the older empire, a race of aliens are trying to create their own powerful empire, and another group have turned up intent on destroying entire planets. As well as all this, the remnants of the genetically engendered warriors and slaves of the first human empire are now trying to fight their way out of the galaxy to get away from it all.

Some more information the factions

  • The Solar Empire- humans that stayed in the solar system and the surrounding stars, the remnants of the first human empire. They desperately want to rebuild the lost glory of man, and are more than happy to do anything to get it. Their units are well equipped, and they are all professional soldiers first and foremost, meaning they are some of the best infantry, however, they are only human, so their leaders are not much stronger than their basic troops.

  • The Talix alliance- humans that are allied with the Talix system, the first exo-solar system colonised. The Talix alliance was originally part of the first human empire, and they created the therian slaves of that era. They specialise in bio-augmentation, and so their units are heavily modified. This makes them very strong, but rather slow. Their main goal is to try and create thier own empire, seperate from the Solar empire

  • Therian uprising- the results of the Talix alliance fusing human and animal DNA. Created to be slaves and warriors, when the war broke out they banded together, and are now trying to find a way to leave the Galxy (or at least human space), so they don’t have to deal with humanity again. Their units are faster, have decent moral when near their leaders, but lack decent armour and they have rather bad aim.

This game contains examples of:

  • Chainsaw Good: Chain weapons are avalible, and can do a ton of damage on a critical succses, however they can back fire spectacualy.
  • Revolvers Are Just Better: they are very powerful weapons, however, a missfire means you have to clear the jam, wasting valuable AP.
  • Super-Soldier: The super soldiers, a Talik alliance invetion. Humans that have been modified, willingly or not, into something akin to the hulk. One of the Talik alliance, Karl Uberwaltigt, is a super soldier.
