Crosses The Line Twice / Final Space

Go To

Given that Final Space has Horror Comedy elements, expect these moments to pop up from time to time.

  • The entire scene where Gary wears the skin of a dead alien mother in "Chapter 2" is seen as one of the most messed up moments in the show, especially when that alien’s two children accidentally tear it up. This is later repeated in Season 2, when Gary causes the mother in the past to suffer a heart attack after she accidentally tears her father's dead skin (which Gary was wearing as a disguise) off Gary's face.
  • The Galaxy One running over a school of baby sea turtles while heading to New York. Even KVN lampshades on it.
  • Gary crying Tears of Joy upon seeing KVN die before his very eyes in Episode 10.
    Gary: It's so beautiful!
  • The opening scene of "The Happy Place." Little Cato "reclaiming" the ship by marking his territory in urine: funny joke. Clarence and his team following suit: predictable. Both groups getting in a literal pissing contest: eyeroll-worthy. The extremes to which the showrunners take the joke in a matter of seconds: laugh until you piss yourself!
    • Ash takes getting a urinary tract infection quite well, all things considered.
  • "The Grand Surrender" has two such occurrences:
    • The first has KVN dress up as the Serepentian goddess Sentella and tricking hundreds of cultists into falling off a cliff to their deaths
    • The second involves Fox accidentally pushing the alien groom off the Crimson Light without a parachute, which results in the groom being killed while his remains and blood get splattered all over the woman he intends to marry. As a final touch, HUE throws a traditional handful of rice over the ceremony so that the birds can die, too.
  • "The Lost Spy" is full of this. For example:
    • Not only does Ash want to add Gary’s heart to her collection, she "reassures" him that his would be the only heart there. The rest are spleens.
    • An informant demands to be stabbed in exchange for information because "it might be cool." Repeatedly. To the point where he gushes blood goes into another alien's drink, and they still drink it.
    • Clarence plays gold digger and marries a squid-like queen he finds repulsive, then has sex with her, accidentally poisons her with a suicide capsule, and hides in her uterus before she comes to and "gives birth" to him.
  • In "The Sixth Key", evidently Titans can get STDs, as Bolo and his first love Jill learned the hard way via contracting "upipiums" from Oreskis. What does it do? Make you piss lava. Gary's horrified reaction sells it even more.
Bolo: The cranberry pills only made it worse!
