"I started to really think about my life, who I'd been, what I'd done with it, what it had all been for. The emphysema was getting worse, riding had become impossible, work even more so, and I was alone - it wasn't how I'd ever imagined my life would work out. I was profoundly depressed, to be honest, and wondering if life was worth the effort."

Robin Stewart, (9 October 1946 — 22 November 2015), was a British actor best known for playing Mike Abbott in Bless This House.

He had a long career on TV, with one of his earliest roles coming in Bless This House as Mike, the hippie son of Sid James. Reportedly, Stewart and James had a rocky on-set relationship, due to Stewart often taking a lax approach to learning his lines. He was unavaliable for the 1972 film spin-off, and was recast with Robin Askwith, the original choice for Mike in the series.

Aside from the aforementioned Bless This House film, Stewart appeared in others such as Adventures of a Private Eye, Cromwell, The Haunted House of Horror, The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires, and Tamahine. After going to New Zealand for a telethon, Stewart ended up relocating to Australia, where he continued his acting career in Soap Operas such as The Young Doctors and Sons and Daughters.

He died at the age of 69.
