The eldest of the infamous Mitford sisters and one of England's Bright Young People, Nancy Mitford CBE (28 November 1904 – 30 June 1973) was a popular English novelist and biographer. Her most famous books were probably the romantic novels The Pursuit of Love and Love in a Cold Climate. Both were adapted for television by the BBC in 2001.
