Luise Rainer (12 January 1910 – 30 December 2014) was a German-American-British film actress
Born in Germany and raised in Austria, she started her career with appearances on film in both countries and moved to America in 1935 during The Golden Age of Hollywood. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role twice— the ninth for The Great Ziegfeld (1936) and the tenth for The Good Earth (1937).
She passed away at age 104 in 2014.
